It pains me to leave one star. I’ve been in here a ton of times before and NEVER have I been treated as I was this evening. Appalling actually.Tonight, I had my first and last unpleasant experience here. I try to support small businesses as much as I can because I too own a small business. I went in to get a “D” clip key chain. Bob came in on the tail end of my conversation with the cashier. He asked again what I needed. I said a d clip key chain. I guess he didn’t hear the key chain part because he was all the way down the aisle by the time I said it. Then I see the d clip key chains at the key making kiosk. Bob come out from behind and shows me a d clip. I said no, a d clip for a key chain. He corrects me and says, you want a carabiner with an attitude. I already had four key chains in my hand.My apologies if I didn’t have the correct terminology. I am sure there are plenty of ladies that come to action hardware that may or may not know the correct terminology. I hope they don’t get waited on by Bob.I may be hard pressed to come in here for my next hardware need. Lowe’s is closest to my house, I went out of my way to support a small business. SMH.

Outstanding customer service! Someone helped with matching correct nut and bolt sizes right away. Everyone is very knowledgeable and seems super happy to help. Very lucky this store is so close!

Gosh, I hate their new location. For one thing, the aisles are way to narrow now and when they have their cardboard boxes sitting in those aisles, you can barely get by. They supposedly own Fairfax Hardware, well you walk in Fairfax and the help is all over you, offering to help. At Action, they just mill about in a group, with no one offering to help you find something unless YOU ASK. Shouldnt be that way. Their nuts and bolt prices are a bit cheaper than Fairfax, so that is about the only thing they got going for them. So dont have a heart attack in that store, cause doubtful they could get a stretcher in there to load you up. Cant believe the county gave them a C.O.

Wonderful store with helpful and knowledgeable staff.I dont know why anyone would go to a big box like lowes when this place exists and has the level of expertise and caring they have.Always good to see stores like this still around!

Theres no other little hardware store i will go to. Not one puts up with my procrastinating clumbsy million question havin tomfoolery self like they do.

New location in shopping center..same great prices and service. Much easier and compatible prices to nearby big box stores.

Action Hardware just moved up near where Walgreens used to be, and now its bigger and better than ever. Theres now plenty more room for them to expand and stock more kinds of things.

This place is awesome. Even though its much smaller than the big box stores, they still have anything you would need for much cheaper than those places.They can also fix and replace battery operated car keys and they dont gouge you. When they replaced my car key battery they only charged me the $5 for the battery.Staff is really friendly and never makes you feel rushed.

Always find the fasteners I need! The customer service is excellent!!

I love this place awesome service the guys and gals on the floor are awesome they always help you and greet you at the door I like there customer service nothing like going to a hardware store and people trying to help you it’s better than the big box stores . Who run from you . A place of cares about their customers . A company that cares we’ll always have repeat customers docking.Yes it’s all about service . that’s my hotspot for now on . Owned by the same people who own Fairfax Hardware and very honest. Prices are reasonable and the staff is incredibly friendly.

The one thing I love about this hardware store over the large ones is that theres always somebody here to help me. Theres always somebody who can give me a little bit of advice. If you really want to save yourself some time I need to come to the smaller hardware stores are they have people for willing to help and you dont have to walk a half a mile between the items you need.

This local hardware store is a mix for me. They have an amazing selection for a small store and the employees are surprisingly knowledgeable in many areas. The only con is the price. It’s noticeably more expensive than the big retailers, like Home Depot. So anytime I need something small and/or quick this place is great. But I wouldn’t make any big purchases here.

I had an emergency at a local homeowners house and required one small part. I called and told them it was an emergency and that I would be there at 8:02. They said to hurry and I did. I got there at 8:02 and they were locked up tighf. They let their employee out and told me I was too late. Not here for the community whatsoever.

WOW, can you imagine a store that actually stands by what it sells. Well Action Hardware DOES!! Every time I have a fix-it or home repair problem I cant solve or when I just need that one product no one else has to get a job done I go to Action Hardware and they never let me down! Not to mention they are all so friendly and really know their store and its products! Seriously, I love this place and you will too! Also, if you need a car key they might even be able to make it for you!

I had a shut off valve that was old and not made any more I had been to a few places and frustrated with no results. However when I walked in here the older gentleman Larry saw what I had and was able to fix it. I am completely grateful for the outstanding service. Im going here first from now on.

Great place, its nice to still have a simple hardware store in town. Not the huge selection of the big box store, but I find they always have exactly what I want in a high quality manufacturer. Plus fast and easy key making.

In a state filled with great hardware stores this is another excellent one, helpful staff that knows the store like the back of their hands. Always willing to answer questions and point you to good solutions. Well stocked with nuts, bolts, screws, and fasteners for all your projects.

With Fairfax Hardware, top local hardware store in North Wilmington. Not sure when Bmar Plaza was built but it was not there when it was born. Been going there all my life. That they remain in the big box and on line era is a testament to their understanding their customers and their customer care. You dont have to search for help. The only reason you wouldnt be approached upon entry and be asked Can I Help You Find Something is if they are helping someone already. Hats off to Branmar Hardware.

A smaller corner hardware store with helpful and friendly staff that are happy to help. They obviously dont have as large a selection as a big box hardware stores, but they have the essentials, and are perfect for a quick run to pick-up forgotten supplies for a project.
