Great staff! Super friendly even though we came when it was almost closing time (sorry, we tried three other places before and they were taking forever to get to us and we were hungry). Such a sweet server. I did not get her name but she had pink hair. Loved the atmosphere. Cant wait to come back

Nice little local lunch and wine spot. Its more like a Bistro with good sandwich and soup of the day menu items. Stopped by multiple times while in the area and always had fast service with a friendly counter. Order at the counter and they give you a number and bring to the table. The sandwiches are large and they offer a variety of breads.

The name is the same but the menu has certainly changed. It was a bit disappointing because I expected to get my usual. Change is good though. However, I visited recently but chose not to dine. I stood there for a while with no one attending to the front. Business was very was slow. While standing there, I witnessed two men standing in the cooking area eating and talking over the food. One spreaded the handmade chips, which are usually delicious, with his bare hand that he was just using to eat with. I think he was eating from the chip reservoir. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤢 The other dipped whatever he was eating on right into a red sauce that was on the stove to be served. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤮 They never saw me. The cashier was very friendly once she came up. However what I witnessed prior to her excellent customer service was a complete turn off.

This place was great. Its the first time coming here and the atmosphere, service and food were all great. I had the Brentwood Burger1/3 lb Angus Burger, Pim Cheese, Bacon, Fried Egg, LTO, Pickles on Brioche Bun w/Fries. It was a first for me combining fried egg and pimento cheese on an Angus Burger. It was a little messy but the taste made up for it. Would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

Carolina Cheese is becoming a great place to hangout in Wilson. They have great coffee and breakfast is out of this world. They are always willing to cook what you are in the mood for. I enjoy going there at lunch and eating a wrap with their homemade chips. Annette always makes sure things are the way I like them. I appreciate her attention to the details. I like the creative combinations of things they will put together in one sandwich, it is eye opening and delicious.I have also used their space after hours for a meeting, they were very gracious and I will be holding more evening events there in the future.Patty Holt

A great locally operated deli! The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is reasonably priced, made to order, and is well crafted. Excellent comfort food! I had the shrimp po-boy with celery slaw and house made chips; it was excellent! Nothing fancy here, but its a good, comfortable, local restaurant; good for kids and adults alike! The only reason for four stars as opposed to 5 is that one of our orders seemed to be left behind or forgotten, everyone else was nearly halfway finished before the order was brought to the table. Otherwise a great experience.

I have eaten at Carolina Cheese on many occasions. The food, staff, and atmosphere have always been wonderful. We have enjoyed both brunch and lunch meals. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Let me just say, if you havent been there, you are missing out. Excellent Service, Excellent Food and atmosphere.. We had for starters, White Wine Sangria, ( very tasty) Pimento Cheese with Pork skins, it was to die for! Pork Belly with grits, and Brussel Sprouts with Mac and cheese!!! Oh Gosh. Both were wonderful. For Dessert we had Lemon Pound Cake, Buttermilk Cheesecake with Local French Pressed Coffee!! This place is a gem! I highly recommend Carolina Cheese Company...

I enjoyed eating lunch here while staying in Wilson. Evidently, new owners. Soups were good, Cuban delicious, and their broccoli salad was amazing. Recommend!

Excellent place to eat. Food was perfect and tasted great! I would only suggest slightly larger portions for the price but no complaints! Will be eating here again.Reply:Not sure how to reply but my husband and I tried each others food. He had heuvos rancheros and I had the biscuit with ham gravy. Then he had pancakes and I had the chocolate pecan with chocolate drizzle. I am stuffed and he was too. Excellent food!!! We will be back.

Lunch is great and much improved menu with new ownership, but we have especially enjoyed the dinner menu! Nice salad and shrimp basket! Great service and good food

Carolina Cheese is one of my favorite places to grab lunch. Recently took an out of town guest there and she raved about the food. Tried the Reuben which was very tender along with the homemade chips and dip. Best Reuben I have had since my last one at Carolina Cheese.

Idk how this place is rated so high. Had to wait 30 min for my food then when i got my food the eggs were over cooked. They came fried even tho i i wanted sunny side up and the food was cold. HOW DO YOU OVER COOK SOMETHING AND STILL SERVE IT COLD? Portion size was also horrible for the price. If i could give zero stars i iould

Great experience my coworker and i was here in Wilson for a job related training and decided to stop by to give this place a try. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the duck duck burger and my coworker had no complaints about his meal. We need you guys to expand to Durham!

Havent been since the new management took over but it used to be good so I cant imagine it changed that much. Food was always good, had some decent GF options.

Called in an order at 11:50 AM, Arrived at the site at 12:05 PM, received our order at 12:40 PM. Great place to go if you have 2 hours for lunch and like to watch people grow angrier by the minute. Watched in amazement as people getting their orders informed staff that the order was wrong. Every order that came up required a mini-conference with staff to make sure what was in the basket was right. Unbelievable the place is still open.

Food was good. Service HORRIBLE!!!!!!! The guy up front didnt have a nice attitude and the girl was rushing me the entire time. Also there was this horrible smell near the register. I use to love coming here but the past year this place has really fallen about.

Carolina Cheese Company was once a place to relax over a bottle of wine and a selection of artisan cheeses while reading a book. I moved from NC in 2011, and this store is one of my favorite memories - I discovered Empire Royal Mead here - in my opinion the finest polish mead in the world.Having come back through NC on business, I made a point of deviating through this neck of the woods to discover that the fond memories I have will never be relived. Carolina Cheese Company is no longer a cheese company. Its a breakfast deli. The myriad of artisan cheeses are gone, the ample wine selection and seasonal delights are gone, and this replacement...diner/starbucks/cafe is a travesty to the memory of Carolina Cheese Company.What was once a unique, wonderful experience that required bringing friends to drink and unwind with is now a Panera, albeit with a poor selection of unmemorable wine.

The selection was good, however the cook mixed up the omlet order and fried the eggs instead of poaching them.
