I went to get my daith piercing because I kept getting bad migraines. Laura did my piercing and did amazing. She was very accurate, my migraine went away immediately and hasn’t come back! The piercing doesn’t hurt at all. I would definitely go back to her for another!

This review is difficult to write - I made an appointment for a full leg/Brazilian wax a little while ago. The aesthetician who gave me my wax was very sweet and warm and worked very hard to make me feel comfortable, and was quick to hear what I wanted (not something that I’ve experienced at every salon).However, the waxing experience itself was terrible. She kept getting the wax stuck in my hair, and didn’t conceal the fact that this was frustrating to her (in addition to being incredibly painful for me). A good wax shouldn’t be painful - I’m not saying it should be pleasant, but a professional and experienced aesthetician should know how to apply and remove wax in a way that doesn’t cause excruciating pain. I’ve had about 5 professional waxes before, as well as frequently doing my own at-home sugaring. I left the salon with large patches of hair that hadn’t been removed, as well as sticky bits of wax all over my legs and bikini area. Despite frequent exfoliation, I had the worst ingrown hairs of my life over the next two weeks, and had regrowth of the areas waxed within a few days.Disappointing experience, considering that a full wax like this costs upwards of $130, plus a hefty tip (which I probably should have cut back, but I know how difficult it can be to make any decent money working under a salon that takes a big cut). Maybe if the aesthetician hadn’t felt the need to rush through my waxing appointment, my wax would have been better executed. I hope this review is taken as the big hit of constructive criticism I mean it to be (not a rude and thoughtless insult like many of the reviews I’ve seen here are), especially as I’ve since heard a very similar experience from about three other women I know who have had a first (and last) wax here.

Piercer was amazing and did a terrific job. I got the daith done and it has eliminated my migraines. Front desk lady got into an argument with one of the other clients, was kind of off putting, but I was glad I stuck with it and waited. Expect to wait 20 minutes beyond your appointment and you will be fine.

Brian is the best.I have been going to him since 1998. If you want great hair, book an appt with him!!

Maggie Daines is an amazing stylist. She is very professional and listens to what you want and gives you exactly what you ask for. Shes amazing with all different hairstyles and colors. Shes my number one stylist. Shes able to accomplish anything I ask for.

This is my second time getting pierced here and both times were just fantastic. I left a review the first time but I just had to leave a second one. Laura is very professional, yet easy to talk to and will walk you through the whole process. Nothing was rushed and I definitely felt welcome to be there! My daughter Brianna got an eyebrow wax removal done and it was the worst experience ever. Maggie did it for her and it looked very bad there was no shape and it looked almost the same as before. I had to take my daughter to another salon to get it fixed., I don’t trust this salon 😡😡😡

I went to Utopia for a piercing. The shop was clean, and every single member of staff I spoke to was very friendly and helpful. I feel like their prices are very reasonable, and the piercer took time to understand what I wanted and give me perfect placement. I would definitely recommend this shop for piercings.

Left with fried hair all over, went in with healthy hair. Cried because of how bad my hair looks, pretty much walked out with a mullet. Assistant who washed my hair was rough, told her i had ear piercings and asked if she could watch the one as her finger kept catching on it and I got the same roughness. I have Never been so ashamed of how my hair looks like I am Now. Money was not well spent.

I went for a nose piercing and she was nice and easy to talk to and explained everything but my piercing was crooked and didnt heal properly. Then a month later it got red and infected even when cleaning it properly like I have done with all of my piercings. Same thing happened to a friend of mine.

When we walked in the vibe seamed totally off, almost like they didn’t want to cater to my friends and I. We didn’t feel welcomed. They do walk-ins and I wasn’t completely sure if I wanted to get a piercing because of my nerves, so I was going to wait for my friend then go if I feel ready enough. I got attitude for not being 100% sure. If you don’t want to cater to ALL then don’t work in a business like this.

Went here strictly for piercing. Everything is sterile, artist is professional and knows what shes talking about. Will be a repeat customer, I would highly recommend.

Got my ears pierced for the first time here. The atmosphere was great, very professional and very friendly. They had given us a price estimate on the phone, when we arrived they had just changed the price. But since we had been told the other price on the phone thats what they charged. Very nice people, look forward to going there again!

My wifes piercing was going to be painful and the piercer was very gentle and professional with her skill. In addition, the piercer was kind and efficient. Such a great place!! I can only speak for piercings, but I had such a great experience! I’m new to the area, so I was hesitant about coming to a new place, but Utopia has great reviews, so I had to leave another one! The process was so quick (but not rushed!) and practically painless! Everyone was kind and I was walked through the whole process. I was shown my (nose) ring, walked through the sterilization process, and felt completely at ease through the piercing part- or at least as comfy as I could be with a needle through my face! 😂 I will definitely come back again and again! I walked in today without an appointment which there was a cancellation so that worked totally in my favor. I was greeted at the door with a gentleman that checked my temp and offered me a face mask and hand sanitizer.They have done a great job keeping customers and staff safe!! There are plastic curtains in between the salon chairs and I watched as the young lady who washed my hair sanitize the area I was sitting after I got up.I have not had a hair cut in like 2 years. Lol no time for momma. I had Kristen cut my hair and she was very nice and friendly. She did a fabulous job. The last few times I got my hair cut I was not truly happy with the cut. Today I was 100% satisfied with my hair. I booked for another treatment in a few weeks. I have not had a place to go in years for salon services and I feel comfortable at Utopia. Highly recommend and kudos for the cleanliness.

Upon entering this place I was greeted by a wonderful guy behind the desk. Was very helpful and getting my sister checked in for ear piercing and getting me checked in to get my eyebrows done. WOW. I love this place. I visited for the first time a few weeks ago, and everyone was welcoming and seemed like old friends. The commitment to satisfaction is excellent; my stylist really listened to what I was leaning towards and was able to give me the exact cut I wanted. I feel like a new person! Also, I love the focus on natural based products. Not only do the essential oils and products smell amazing, but I feel so much healthier and fresher using them.

Loved my experience at utopia. Ashley Taylor cut my hair exact to the picture I gave her and the shampoo process was really nice too. I felt like I was getting a head massage rather than a quick shampoo they even put a got towel over my head at the end...dont know if it was intended that way but it made me happy, plus I love my hair cut/style!

I really like this upscale salon and I think its very modern and cool that they do body piercing there, as well as hair and permanent makeup. I think they do regular makeup too, but not sure.The girls that were at the counter were very professional, friendly and helpful. The piercer, who is the only person I used (besides reception), is very nice and helpful. A year and a half ago she gave me a Monroe piercing (the left side above my lip, to look a bit like Marilyn Monroes mole), and it NEVER got infected, thanks to the helpful and informative tips she gave me, and a handy cheat-sheet.They also have some beautiful handmade jewelry made by an employee, or a family member or friend of one, made with colored wire and stones, with a note stating what that particular type of stone is good for (i.e. healthiness, strength in family, luck in love, guards against evil, happiness in life, luck in money, etc). They are reasonably priced (mostly $20-$30) and beautiful.I recommend Utopia salon and will be returning there myself for my beauty needs.

Utopia is an upscale salon in friendly atmosphere with talented stylists. I see both Tami and Kristin. Both have been stylists for 10+ years & their work shows it! I’m growing my hair out & when I need the split ends trimmed they do exactly that! :) They truly care about your hair and want to see you leave with a smile on your face! :)

First went there for a hair color consult with Laura. She was very honest and knowledgeable about damage to my hair and color expectations. She couldve easily taken my money and done color. I plan to return to her for future color/cut needs.Most recent experience with the body piercer there who was very nice and knowledgeable fixed my nose piercing in 5 minutes after two wasted trips to where I originally got it. The salon has a cool vibe and the staff is very nice. My hair looked great! I couldnt figure out how to fix it. I went back and Tami was super patient and showed me how.

They have canceled on me twice! I make my appointments weeks ahead because Im a busy mother of 2 little ones. I rarely have time to leave them with a sitter and run to the hair saloon. I get to my appointment and they said that they called me an hour ago to cancel my appointment. I cant reschedule! I dont have tons of free time like others! I kept going back because I liked my stylist but now shes gone and Im gone too! Worst customer service ever!

Laura pierced my Daith, my daughter had her Daith Pierced and my Cousin had her Daith and Tragus pierced. She is AMAZING! So kind and down to earth and it didnt hurt! Some pressure but that was it! No pain!. I so recommend her!!

Been going to Laura* (the piercer)I think her name is forever since my first nose piercing and she was always professional and sweet I recommend her if you want your eyebrows done too she’s absolutely amazing and she’s so stylish. Enough about the piercer more about the salon, I have been coming to utopia salon for the past three or two years and it’s employees have never been anything but helpful angels to me, the salon is so clean and I love the refreshments. I’m sorry this doesn’t make too much sense, but thank you so much ladies and gents of utopia salon for keeping me myself everyday. The only thing I would change would to be maybe have aSeparate place like another location or store for piercing appointments or just hire two piercers because she’s a busy or not there a lot when I’m available for appointments but other than my own dumb opinion I love this salon more than anything and Laura’s* the best piercer ever I love you guys sincerely, Maddie a 15 year old stroke victim who’s a giant diva. *still not sure if my fav piercers name is Laura

Jody Hunt was amazing, when no one could save my hair she knew just what to do. Now my hair is healthy and beautiful, 4 weeks ago she turned my hair from a dull grey and blonde to an exciting eye catching fiery red. I love it and I have gotten more compliments on my hair in these last 4 weeks than I have in years before finding Jody Hunt and the rest of the amazing staff at Utopia.

My experience at Utopia has always been great. The staff is very helpful with the changes I want done to my hair. They are always so nice and are not afraid to make sure Im as comfortable as possible. I got my first piercing at Utopia and I plan on going to get another one done very soon and I know that it will be a great experience. 0 stars if I could!! Will Never come back here. I got a nose piercing 3 months ago. My piercing came out and I went the next day to get back in. I checked in and waited for 1.5 hrs because the lady was busy. I really needed it to get it in and I couldnt do it myself. Then two ppl walk in with an appointment and they get to go first!! Like you would only take 5 mins to change my piercing yet refused to take me first while I waited for 1.5 hrs! I left after her not taking me first after all my waiting! You lost my business for always. Save your time and go to Body of Xpression. And dont have to deal with no personality people over here. 0 stars!!!!!!

Ive been using Utopia for a little over a year now and I really enjoy the service. Everyone treats clients so well and their skill level is off the chart. Ive seen Kristin and Jody and both have done a fantastic job on cutting and styling my hair as well as working with me to upkeep it and get my hair looking as I want it too. Ill keep coming back.

The first time I went for a cut, I realized when I got home that one side was a little longer than the other. The stylist was kind enough to fix it when I went back a few days later. Today, I went for my second cut and this time it is much more noticeably crooked. I am once again scheduled to go get it fixed in a couple of days. Needless to say, I won’t be going back after it is fixed, which is a shame because the stylist is super sweet and the prices are reasonable.

I went here to get my belly button and nose done both, and I must say they did a wonderful job! they explained really well on how too take care of the piercing and when too change it! Fantastic place! Kristin did an amazing job on my bridal updo and makeup. I received many compliments, especially at the end of the night when my hair and makeup were still very much intact! I went to see her a total of three times (once for the initial consult, once before bridal portraits, and finally on the day of the wedding). Each time she was courteous, professional, and fun to talk to. My sisters updo and makeup was done by Jody and was also great.
