This is such a nice place to bring a book, have a coffee and relax. The sandwiches are also very nice. Relaxing music and decor with the aroma of coffee eases your mind. I am currently trying their different coffees out. The promised land and the Steinman are really great! Enjoy!!

Stopped in here for breakfast with the family on march 3rd. My Athur latte was good, but they ruined that by serving disgustingly burned eggs. An egg cost a dime, why would you be willing to lose our business over saving 10 cents. Absolutely lazy. All you have to do is spend 30 second cooking a new egg. The maple cinnamon scone was also very fluffy, more like a cupcake, and didnt taste very good either. Over all pretty disappointed in my first visit. I hope there are some decent restaurants in Winchester

I love this cozy coffee shop!! Fireplace is so pretty in the winter. They have delicious sandwiches, quiche, muffins and awesome coffee!!

The service is always above and beyond great! They have amazing seasonal drinks. The food is great too! (They have pastries, sandwiches, etc) The atmosphere of the shop is also wonderful. If youre ever in Winchester I highly recommend stopping by!

This is one of my favorite coffeeshops that Ive ever been in. The atmosphere is comfortable while still feeling a bit upscale. And the coffee is delicious and their lattes and mochas are the best Ive had in a long time, maybe ever....The staff is always very friendly and as helpful as possible. The seating areas vary from more social feeling tables to little couches and counters off to the sides to work on a laptopn or read in a more private area. Its perfect and everything I want in a coffeeshop.

I had some time to kill in Winchester I found this adorable coffee shop. The atmosphere was inviting and the food was delicious. I had a salad and cup of tea. The staff was so friendly as is most of the town of Winchester. What a fun place to visit.

The older lady that made my coffee really takes her craft seriously, although the gentleman that wears the glasses is a bit rude. I complimented on how interesting the coffee house was and replied with eh. He seemed a little off put, if he doesnt like his job there then he should consider searching for another. Overall, it was a good experience.

Cairn is a beautiful coffee shop. Im not much of a coffee person, but they have plenty of other items (tea, smoothies, sandwiches, etc). Free WiFi, usually pretty quiet, nice decor. Almost every time Im in town, I spend some time here. Would recommend 100%.

Wonderful community coffee house! Husband And I stopped in on a rainy Saturday after noon to find a pleasant surprise. tables with young people playing board games, ladies enjoying each others company and very courteous staff. Even made fresh coffee for us😊. Would love to be here when the gorgeous fireplace is crackling!

Saw my grandson play xmas music for the middle school band there...its a nice cozy little place with a small counter with stools or hot regular tables and chairs or they have an area with with couches and the lights are dim so its kinda private. Have excellent coffee but I didnt get to try any of theyre food. Really clean bathrooms and quick and friendly service. I would recommend this place.

Werent open according to the posted time. Coffee shops should be open no later than 7, then they are pointless.

Great people, relaxing atmosphere and delicious food

I was looking for coffee while on a camping trip -- also I wanted wifi. This is a beautiful coffee shop location in Downtown Winchester KY. I also had a breakfast sandwich wrap. It was nice to have a hot breakfast prepared while I waited. They have salads, soups, sandwiches, wraps, and pastries. It is located in an old building likely a former retail business, my guess a clothing store. Once the fog and rain moves out ; I will go back for a hike. The Cairn has a couch and overstuffed chairs, if you are seeking a place to lounge.

Hidden among the odds and ends shops in downtown Winchester is the Cairn. Its food and coffee are pricey for the area, but it might just be worth it if you have a moment to sit down and enjoy the detail and warmth of its upscale interior.

Met all my expectations for a great cafe: cozy, varied decor, good music low enough to talk over, delicious salad (and the rest of the food looked wonderful), good coffee, and very reasonable prices.

Friendly service, good espresso, and the three cheese scone was delicious! Worth a stop even if you are just passing through.

So small youd miss it, but the food and staff and coffee is simply spectacular.

Since the tips apparently go to a non profit and not the employees, they are less inclined to worry about annoying and distracting you by blasting music and YouTube across the room. Theres a tall ceiling, so everything echos.Bloody good americano though.
