I would not recommend this place to anyone. I would give this dealership no stars if that were an option. I purchased this car in April and had the most troubles out of it since I first laid eyes on the vehicle. I had to wait a couple weeks to get the car after I purchased it because it was not yet up to par; however, that was not stated at the time of purchase. I was told that the car was ready and that I would be driving it off the lot that day, which is ideal. I was told that a sensor was the reason why I was waiting to retrieve the car, however, the paper work displayed that it was a catalytic converter that they replaced. They gave me a car to drive in the meantime, which was a plus. 2 weeks after driving the car I experienced jerking, which was due to an oxygen sensor. A month after that I begin having issues once more. When I took it up to Bob King Hyundai’s service center they stated that I needed a new catalytic converter. I went to the auto shop so much when I first purchased the car I did not need to wash the car myself. It was always clean. I will give them props for that. As we fast forward to today, which is 6 months after the purchase, I am looking at nearly $3000 in repairs. I have 3 oil leaks that are so bad that is has affected of other parts. But, those are the least of the problems detected in the car. This is ridiculous. This is my first car and the worst experience I have ever endured as it relates to ANY purchase. I wish car purchases worked like others; I wish I could return this car and get my money back. I reiterate, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO ANYONE.
Austin was excellent to work with throughout the purchasing process. He never pressured myself or my husband, which we both greatly appreciate. The experience at Bob King was much easier and more pleasant than other dealerships I have dealt with in the past.
Highly reccomend and very happy with my purchase! They care about you as a customer and work hard to make your business. All are extremely professional and courteous, from the moment you walk in to the finance managers last signature request. Their sales manager is also very involved and personable. They valued my trade much higher than anyone else had and my sales professional made my wait seem nonexistent. He was great! Ill be back once Im ready to trade and request my same person. Best car service ever!!! I had a fantastic experience purchasing my Hyundai Tucson, which is covered in another review somewhere, so Im here to talk about my car service experience. All the staff were so kind and helpful. I could tell they really cared about my experience. I also got a free car wash with my service which was a nice surprise. My mom has a Mercedes, and they give her free car washes, so it was pretty cool that I was getting perks with my Hyundai that were on par with luxury brands. Another thing I loved was the video review they send you of your car. Every time you get your car serviced, theyll send you a video a couple minutes long showing you your car while its being worked on and explaining each part of the service. It was really awesome to have someone explain and show me what looked good and what suggestions they had (although they didnt have any suggestions this time since my car is still brand new). It makes me feel much more comfortable knowing exactly what condition my car is in. And as far as I know, other car dealerships dont give you the video reviews, so Bob King Hyundai really is special. Another thing that was really important to me was that no one tried to sell me extra things. I know a lot of dealerships try to push you to upgrade things when you get your car serviced, but Bob King doesnt do that at all. They knew my car was in tip top shape, and they didnt deny that to try to get me to upgrade. Once again, thank you so much for honest and AMAZING service as always as well as going above and beyond and showing genuine care for your customers.
10/18/2021 got to the service department early (around 10:15am) for a simple oil change and tire rotation, now at 12:56pm finally getting to leave. Watched the service video and the tech didn’t seem very knowledgeable. Very disappointed in the service department.My review of 1 star stays the same. As everyone can see the Service Director sent a message to speak with me. After calling the given number I was told that the individual was not at that location. I was given a second number and was told the same thing Kelly was not at that location let me transfer you. A lady answered the the phone on the 3rd try and said she didn’t know of anyone that worked for Bob King by that name.This shows a total disregard for customers, extremely poor service. If the individual who responded before would like to speak with me my number is on file.

Sales person Lucas was very helpful and stayed in constant communication about the process of locating and transferring vehicles for me to purchase. Christian the finance manager made the paperwork process quick and easy. Dealership offered me $2,500 more than other dealerships in the area were offering for my trade-in. Inventory was low for the 2022 Konas and they transferred me 2 of them from other states to make sure that I got exactly what I wanted. If you go ask for Lucas he is very polite and respectful of your time.

This was the best car dealership visit I’ve ever had for service. Usually when you go to a dealership they say oh you need this you need this you need this you need this. At Bob King Hyundai, they gave you a couple things they said OK this is what you probably want to look at now and this is what you want to keep on your radar but doesn’t have to be addressed today. The staff was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Only complaint is wish there was a little bit more coffee

Tim, our salesperson was great from the time he walked up to us, until I was driving off the lot in my new car. He took his time with us, answered any questions we asked and trust me we had plenty and we had some weird questions. He worked extremely hard to make sure I was happy with what I wanted. I just had a five star experience at Bob King due to the Service Advisor George Hazen. Exceptional people skills and ability to resolve problems.He kept me informed through the whole process and this seemed to me to be rather involved issues with the potential to go wrong with a less skilled Advisor. His can-do attitude is a plus at this dealership.
I traded my GMC Terrain in a couple weeks ago for a Hyundai Santa Fe. My car salesman Elijah was absolutely awesome. Elijah was very attentive, personable, and knowledgeable which made my car buying experience top notch. I also loved the fact that this was my first time purchasing a vehicle where I didnt feel pressured to buy. Had my car for 7 weeks to do a diagnostic without giving me.a.rental only for me to call after 7 weeks for them to do diagnostic then when i called and said car didnt have anything wrong with i! Went to go pick up car and they didnt even bring it to me i had to walk in the rain with my.19 month to find where it was parked. I WILL NEVER buy from hyundai again!
My buying experience was quick and seamless. The first point of contact was George in Service who directed me to Steve, Sales Manager. Both were excellent. I had not planned to purchase a new vehicle but the reputation of Hyundai and the manner in which my requests were handled, all pointed in the direction of buying a new car. I had dealt with Dominique previously and he is great. Most impressive was as I was leaving, the General Manager came outside to meet me and told me that the dealership was as excited to have my used car as I was to get my new one. Great experience with Eric in the service department. Repair completed quickly and they noticed one of our bulbs had burned out too and replaced it. Didnt recommend a bunch of unneeded services, no pressure to purchase anything else. Good people. Will return for all our service needs.
Just got back from my 100+ mile round trip from Cornelius, NC to Bob King Hyundai in Winston Salem, NC. Had been communicating with Amanda at the dealership about seeing the new Santa Cruz. They had at least one on site and she assured me it was being held as a demo which alleviated my concerns about driving this distance only to find out the vehicle had been sold when I got there. Had a confirmed appointment for 4:00pm. When I arrived at the dealership there was no Amanda to be found. They did have a Santa Cruz on the lot but it had “just been sold” so no test drive. A salesman allow me to check out the vehicle and sit inside. A nice enough guy but I didn’t get his name because it really didn’t matter as there is no way I would now buy a car from this dealership. Lie to me once, shame on you. Lie to me twice shame on me. Bob King Hyundai/Amanda will never get the opportunity to lie to me twice.

Service was excellent--because George did his job so well. The service department at this dealership has turned itself around in the last couple of years. My thanks to George for his very helpful advice and comments, his help with finding 4 new tires for me, staying an hour late to make sure they could finish the service and inspection the same day, and even cleaning my headlamps himself at the end.
They are great at service and repairs. They keep you informed what is needed for your car. Just hard they cant offer a lender. Tough 2 weeks they had my car. I would overall recommend them to you!

I was there for a recall on my 2019 Kona. All good, no problems found.
If I could I would rate this place a zero. I went there to get a recall done on my vehicle. The person that did the recall forgot to put a piece back on my car.. The next time I came for a oil change the reported that the piece was not there even though It was there in when they did the recall. I have never taken my vehicle to any other places so I know for sure the part was missing from my last appointment. I spoke the the service guy and the supervisor which were both men and they were very rude to me. They finally agreed to order the part and said it would be there in 4-5 business days and that they will update me in the arrival. No one called and I have called every week for the past 2 weeks. I called today July first at 5:10pm and asked the speak to the manager and a lady named crystal lucera got on the phone with an attitude and was talking over me and would not let me finish my statements…. and her reason was because she said the lady that answered the phone prior to transferring me to her said that I was loud on the phone which I was not. The managers need more training in customer service. I am highly disappointed in the service at this location. My issue with the missing part on my vehicle is still not resolved.

Time it took to install a simple part was estimated at an hour and ended up waiting for 3 hours in the dealership waiting area while dealership seemed incompetent at providing explanation for the delays. Told 15 more minutes for vehicle to be washed and returned but didnt receive for another hour and a half. My time is worth more and i will definitely be returning to Lexus for my next purchase as their service and loaner program are far superior. Never had a more frustrating dealership service experience.

My salesman, Mervyn, was really nice and found a car that fit my needs and wants just right. I love the car they found for me, it was just a little bit out of my price range, but it was worth it and it is manageable. I had a very good experience financing my first car thanks to Mervyn and the whole crew!

I had to take my Hyundai Sonata in for several recalls. Even though I didnt purchase the vehicle from Bob King Hyundai, the service department employees were very welcoming to me. I was promptly told to drive my car into the service departments enclosed area. Eric checked me in, went over the recalls and other items that I requested. They texted updates throughout the process and let me know when the service was complete. And when I picked up my vehicle, another Eric checked me out. He also went over all the services provided along with additional items that I need to address at a later time. I was escorted to my vehicle. I was pleasantly surprised that it had been washed and vacuumed. Along with the fact that one of the recalls required the oil to be drained which meant I received my oil change for free. Even though I understand that car service departments are nothing more than another sales area, I was never pressured into choosing their services. They understood I was from out of town and preferred to use my local business for tires and other maintenance items on my vehicle. I was very impressed with the service I received at Bob King Hyundai!!

I purchased a used Jeep Grand Cherokee last week. I didnt have a lot of information on the vehicles service history. I had the vehicle serviced at Bob King Hyundai. Kristle the Lane Manager was very helpful in getting worked in for service. Ronnie the service technician was very helpful in showing me what had been done and what needed to be done to the Jeep. The whole experience was outstanding! I highly recommend!
Test drove their used Yukon that was for sale. Took it to Toyota dealership to have it looked at. Emergency break was locked on, and the vehicle in its current condition would not pass inspection; check engine light was on as well. While yes the car stated as is, they refused to bring it to a quality that would pass inspection, and still wanted 1.5k over bluebook value. Would not recommend.
My husband and I recently decided to purchase a new SUV and were not sold on which make or model 100%, we spent a day going to different dealerships, Toyota, Kia, Ford and Hyundai. When we arrived on the Hyundai lot we were not immediately approached at our car door (which we appreciated a lot) however once we were approached by a very nice gentleman (Michael Warren) we immediately were impressed! Michael was well informed on the types of features we wanted and what would be a good match! Don’t judge the rating until you read the entire post; we purchased a used car from this dealership in November of 2020. Test drive went great, our car salesman, Elijah, could’ve used a little more personality, but we assumed he was just beginning. Finance department, Mr. Ho, was phenomenal and made the experience very pleasurable. We test drove the car for a bit and could not find anything wrong with it, however, on the way home after the purchase we noticed the transmission wasn’t acting quite right. We were told to bring it in for the service team to take a look, in which my wife did and was treated so badly, she left crying in so much anger and embarrassment. The general sales manager, Mr. Steve Kona reached out to me on December 19th to follow up about the visit. To be expected and I still have the voice mail on my phone. However, after numerous attempts of emails and voice mails, Mr. Kona has never followed up with us. We took the vehicle to Flow Lexus and paid $250 to have it evaluated. They stated it was the transmission and that it would have never been observed during the test drive as the transmission needed to reach a certain temperature before malfunctioning. So, here we are, March 29, 2021 and have yet to hear from anyone from Bob King!!!! Please be careful when purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. Oh yeah, the quote from a local transmission shop is going to be $3500 plus to repair.
This was my 2nd lease from Bob King Hyundai. This time we leased a 2021 Hyundai Elantra and we love it! Michael Wall was amazing to work with. Our saleman was Elijah and he was extremely helpful in our selection of a new Santa Fe. If we had a question he couldnt answer he found out the answer for us.
