I came to buy just a few needed items from this store. This was my fist visit at this particular store, and I thought that overall it it a good place to shop. I like that the parking lot and exterior of this store was very clean and free a trash. Theres plenty of parking spots as well. When I first walked in the store, the cashier greeted me, and also let me know that they could only accept cash payments at that time, because their credit/debit card machines were currently out of order. Luckily I had some cash one me. I took my time walking around the store, just out of curiosity, and to see what all they had to offer. This store has much more variety of food and beverages, than most Dollar General stores, that I have shopped, in this city.Most of the aisles were clear of any L carts, and displayed items. My only disappointment was that this location was out of stock of a certain brand of bar soap that I needed, which is why I gave this store a 4 out of 5 star rating. This wont discourage me from coming back; at least I know what items I can generally buy on my next visit.

Its one of my favorite stores, but Im impressed that they have a mess, with products here and there. In other dollars that I have visited, while there are no customers who want to be charged, the clerk is doing something. And that the store is relatively new and there is already a disaster, in fact it lasted neat than a month?

Awful!!!. No inventory the store is unorganized, no workers, never have what youre looking for. Stock buggies in the floor with boxes on the carts, this is the WORST STORE EVER!!!!

This is a great place. I am always excited to visit and am never disappointed. If you are in search of attentive customer service, above average selection, and high quality then you cannot beat this place.  I only hope that other establishments will take notice and follow suit. Congratulations on job well done, you have found in me a lifelong and loyal customer. Kudos guys, you deserve it.

Shelves were bare. Boxes all in isles and carts of boxes everywhere. Could not use debit cards.

Cashier and staff was fantastic but help is needed to clean. No helium for balloons that I stopped there to take to a birthday party.i had to swivel my cart around because stock all over floor.not to many selections because of low stock. I like the variety of different things in the store. I no things could be better

Resnoble prices lot of good stuff to buy

This Dollar General is usually pretty messy with stacks of items on the floor and items pretty much strewn everywhere. Theyre likely understaffed because that is consistent for this store. In addition to that, several times Ive seen this store randomly closed in the middle of the day. The prices are low and this is a convenient location for those that live close by but if you can shop elsewhere you probably should. The Dollar General in Walkertown is kept cleaner and its not messy looking.

Great found everything i needed

I found what I was looking for, however there was only one store clerk in the store. She had been working only four days and wasnt sure where everything was at. There was another employee there, however she was off the clock and rude to the employee that was working. I was shocked at the conversation.

Store was neat compared to visits months ago. I rushed in for stockings to attend funeral. There was a check out line with several customers. I skipped to the front and asked cashier to use the restroom. He gave me the key. I opened the stockings telling him that I needed to put them on and promised that I would pay. He said ok. That was CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I really wish I could give u a damn zero, the store stay nasty, they never have anything in the store no more....then the cashiers are rude and disrespectful, they will make u want to put your hands on them......then the manger just sit right there and dont say anything. They also close the store when they want too, like come on man.....Im sure yall can find better people in the world to work there. Its too many people out here that dont have a job, that can use there jobs. The store is really going to hell in a hand basket!!!!!!

This location is a waste of time every time. If they are not lacking in product they are lacking customer service. No one seems to want to be there from the customers all the way down to the managers. Sometimes they are open sometimes they are not. So roll the dice and take a chance not a dependable place to shop

Store is never fully stocked, cashiers are not polite, not well groomed or professional. Manager is never around always have to go find when there are issues at the register.stite looks like it is never clean obstacles are always in the walkway. But it is convenient to you if you live in that part of town. But if you could find another dollar general I would.!!!!!

They only had one cashier. There was a long line but the cashier was very efficient.

It was horrible!!! Nothing in the shelves, mess everywhere, couldnt walk down aisles and only two people working! When I asked for something I was told its in one of the boxes. I cant imagine how they make any money!

Someone call emergency reserves in, this place is a disaster zone. Make sure you go in prepared for war. The shelves are going to drop stuff off, you will have to zig zag through the obstacle course of a aisle, then get greeted by Satan himself at the register. Good luck to all that enter here.

Very easy shopping

There was a bit of remodeling being done on this particular visit. But it wasnt to the point where it impacted my shopping. I still like this store because they have good selection of products and the employees are kind and courteous.

The store was over run with stock carts. There seemed to be only two employees on duty at 3pm with heavy custumer flow. The store as a whole was messy. 5 big coolers for beer and two small coolers for soft drinks.Maybe I caught them on a bad day.

Long lines not enough cashiers

Store always look trashed inside. Just piles and piles of merchandise on carts left in the aisle...safety hazard. Never seems to follow their store hours; closes early with a paper sign theyre closed.

The store is grungy, they may close unexpectedly, and the staff turnover is a regular thing. In spite all of that, u can still find a deal or two.

It had everything I was looking for and I was out in a few minutes! I didnt have to go far(1.1 miles)!

I had a called in order this time and I wanted them to drop my food a certain time and they did for me I was an hour and 30 minutes away and they asked me what time I GPS said and I told them and they hooked it up for me my food was just getting in the box when I pulled in at the drive-in window only for calling orders 😍🤩 PS by the way the food was delicious always 💯

That dollar general was the nastiest, the most disorganized store I have ever been in. Im not from the Winston Salem area, but I have been in dollar general stores from Daytona Beach to hogg back mtn in Vermont to muskeegan Michigan! Never have I seen 1 so bad! The girls working were very rude! Non-helpful in any way, good thing I dont live here! If dollar general doesnt do something n the lines of new employees, it will not be there very long. It has good location, easy to get in and out of. But, OMG! Im giving 1 ☆ because there isnt a negative! So every 1 can c this, only reason this store gets a star. -☆-☆-☆

The name should be General store. Not Dollar. Everything is not a dollar; like Dollar tree store. This is a misrepresentation to the people. ( Fake information).

I Dollar General on New Walkertown Road . Manager never there in store .The store is running my regular workers and we in the community like the store be opening more they 6 to 7 and open more and 3 to 4 day

This was the first time Ive ever going in Dollar General in ever found what I was looking for cuz usually is so janky in the hours you cant get down it all these boxes and stuff in the way and I didnt even have to wait in line to get what I got first time
