Its now under a new owner who was very polite and helpful. The shop had very little choices of fabric but the owner said theyre soon getting new fabrics in and adding classes. Will continue to wait and see.

Bright and charming shop with lovely fabrics, sewing patterns & kits, and a variety of sewing & quilting supplies. Classes are available for beginning and experienced sewists. During my visit, the shop was open late for a candle pouring demo by a crafter from Doodlations, a local small business. These candles are also available at Village Fabric Shop. I appreciate local businesses that support one another, and definitely picked up a little something for myself while I was there!

I loved the shop under the former owners but am totally bowled over by the direction the new owners have taken! Beautiful garment fabrics and a small but amazingly beautiful selection of quilting fabrics. I also got an embroidery kit which I’m looking forward to playing with. Beautiful store with a perfectly curated selection and great service. Kelsey and Nicole are so knowledgable about all things textiles and have created an inviting and warm space to shop for apparel fabrics, patterns, quilting fabrics, natural dyes, and notions. Im so excited to have a place to buy quality apparel fabrics locally and to see some of my favorite brands and independent designers on the shelf!

Finally somewhere local with natural fiber fabric! Quality wools, linens and silks.

Heather and Elizabeth are so welcoming and positive. They are also kind hearted and philanthropic. They believe in giving back and caring, something lost in today’s retail climate. When my father passed away recently, they closed the shop to support me in my time of need. They came to the funeral for me. Who does that? They are always gracious, and will help with any project, even if the project isn’t fabric related. (I know Heather is a serial crafter). Elizabeth does the most exquisite wool rugs, and is an accomplished quilter as well. If I’m having a bad day, I’ll go to the shop, and it always lifts my mood. They have such a cheery shop, you cannot be sad after leaving it. I’m truly fortunate to call them my friends!! Thanks Heather and Elizabeth!!

Elizabeth and Heather are so warm and friendly, and so very knowledgeable. If they don’t have something in stock, they will either get it, or they know where to find it! It’s more than just a fabric shop— it’s a family! The shop is bright, colorful and modern, and they have some of the best teachers anywhere (I’ve already disclosed my relationship with this store, but I am certainly a happy consumer, too, and I have taken some great classes at the shop!).Even better, their entire store is online, too, and they ship daily, so even if you aren’t local, you can get the same great service and selection as us lucky locals do!

The shop is candy for your eyes!! I love going there to see all of the gorgeous fabrics. And they feel so wonderful. You can tell they are a great quality just by touching them. Heather and her mom are so knowledgeable and helpful!!

Im a sewing newbie and have had a great experience learning at VFS over the past year. Ive taken several classes and the instructors are always fun an knowledgeable. Heather (one of the owners) has taken me under her wing. Ive had a blast learning a new skill. Best fabric shop in town!

My wife booked and payed for a wonderful sewing class; well, it needed to be rescheduled, and no future dates were listed which would work for my wifes schedule, so the owner immediately offered to write us a check for the class. I stopped in to pick up the check and pick up some pens for my wife; well she knew all about the situation and quickly got the check. I noticed while getting some erasable pens that the owner and her staff were so kind, cheerful and helpful to myself, and to the many customers inside with different requests. Im sure well reschedule that class soon for late summer or in the fall.
