I really wanted to give Zesto a 5 star, but the service was slow. You order at the counter, you get a number for your table and drink and food is brought to you. It took about 5 minutes to get our drinks, and the sweet tea was not good - returned for a soda. Took another 10 minutes for our two 2-hotdog specials. It took long enough that my husband decided that he need to have them boxed to go... They went back to the kitchen with it and never came back! We had to go back to the counter to see where it was, and he was told sorry it was so busy and there was only one person working in the kitchen. (It was mid-afternoon on Saturday and NOT busy.) The hotdogs were GREAT. We asked for them all the way, and they were delicious, with good buns and the fries were also good. Zesto would have earned a 5 star if only the service had been quicker.

This was our first visit. Such a yummy treat!! Delicious food cooked to perfection! We placed our order online and received it exactly on time.We were so satisfied with our food that ofcourse we had to get ice cream. I will definitely bring my family back on our next visit to Winston Salem.

Food is great every time we go!

We were next door for an appointment and decided to give Zesto a try. We were all impressed. The burgers, dogs, wings (best I’ve had in a very long time), fries, and onion rings were great! Service was fast and friendly and they returned to our table to make sure we were satisfied. I’m glad we stopped here and will be back.

Food was EXCELLENT! Lots of choices even for picky eaters. Our service was quick and friendly. My kids wanted to eat there again for dinner 😁

Went in today because I am a huge fan of the Zestos in Columbia, SC and thought the chicken would be the same - it is not! However, the crispy chicken wing basket here was delicious! The wings were nicely seasoned and super crispy, and the fries were decent. Unfortunately however, the service left a lot to be desired! Our server/cashier had a horrible attitude and spoke to us condescendingly when we asked a simple question. So unnecessary! Is it too much to ask for friendly service?! Bottom line, food was decent, but well likely never return.

Really enjoyed my first visit to Zesto! Algenon was so hospitable to our large group. My hotdog and fries were delicious!

Good food and fast service

This is my second time eating at Zesto. To say I’m impressed would be an understatement. Walking up to the door you are already in a good mood listening to classic jams from outside. Open the door and you can tell sanitation is high on this restaurants list of priorities. The staff greets you like you’re a long time friend. The owner is present inside the business which makes it feel like there is so much love that has gone into making this place a success. When I was told my order total I was pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive it was. The quality and taste of everything I’ve tried so far is phenomenal. I’m a huge atmosphere person and this place hits every mark. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in town! 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Food was great once they actually got the order right, but they were very apologetic and very nice .

This Zesto location closed in July 2020 during the Pandemic. The restaurant is now under new ownership and operates as Papa Lees Grill.

I usually got the pork chop sandwich because it is out of this world good, but have also tried the pimento cheese burger and the sausage dog and they didnt disappoint. This is a great place to eat that is clean, friendly staff, and made to order food but comes out in a reasonable time! I would recommend Zesto to anyone looking for good hometown Winston Salem food!

Zesto was awesome! The food was great great! I had the Carolina Philly and my husband had the build your own burger. Very generous portions, I couldnt finish mine.Jada waited on us and she was extremely friendly and responsive. The dining room was very clean. I didnt use the restroom.

Sabrina from Zestos was extremely rude. Did not have what I wanted after we oredered and payed for it. After we payed Sabrina decided to tell us that she did not have what we wanted. So I asked for onion rings instead. She said we could not get onion rings. We asked for a refund and she said we could not get it because she had already made the food that did not exist. Traveled all the way across town to support this black business and I am really disappointed. If I could give zero stars I would. Sabrina should be fired.

Quick service for fresh made food. Super Friendly staff and some of the best quick serve burgers around. Sweet potato fries were fresh and not super crispy. Great place and can’t wait to be back.

Manager of this facility is really fun and good to talk to. Staff is also really nice. Most importantly the food is delicious. I recommended getting text alerts for special through their VIP program. I grew up with Zestos back in Indiana. First one Ive seen pop up in North Carolina. The only place I know of besides Dairy Queen where I can get a malt shake.

Great local restaurant! My burger was well worth the short wait. Highly recommend The Flame! Chicken looked great, too. I know what Ill be getting next!

Very fresh food and nice meny selections past the regular. Sweet potato fries are always a great thing to pick. Decent prices could be better. Took a star away because it feels like the place cant decide between fast food and dine restaurant

Food was good, ordered a burger (out of bacon), order tenders (out of tenders), we ordered other things and everything had great flavor, hot, and fresh. After we ordered our meal, we ordered ice cream (out of reeses cups). Everything tasted good, but it was kind of frustrating when they were out of the things I ordered. The owner is super sweet and I might have hit the wrong day, so I will go back and try again because what I did eat was good.

Tried this place 2 times both times were bad experiences. So l went to go look at reviews because l dont see alot of customers when l pass by and come to find out most the reviews were positive. So l think well maybe l wasnt ordering the right thing but 3rd times a charm right. Well it turned out to be a fake charm because l was disappointed this time as well so Ive come to the conclusion that this is not the place l run to on payday ya feel me

This is not your typical fast food restaurant. They have a great variety of food. The ribs are out of this world! The chicken philly cheese sandwich was top drawer. The sweet potato fries with the cinnamon maple sugar on top were a good surprise. Gotta check them out!!

The food is really good. Remember this is not a drive thru fast food. Everything is cooked to order. So either call or use the website and order ahead or just be patient.

This place has become progressively worse. I am done with them at this point. Their customer service is atrocious. I am done giving them chances.They are out of items and lie to delivery drivers about contacting the customer.Have burned veggie burgers. Their wait time is too long. On top of that their chili has changed and is now disgusting.I’m just done giving them more opportunities.

Best wings! Try them charred with the amazing sauces, you will not find any better. The cheese steak is my favorite thing to get, but the burgers are good, too. Great fries, better sweet potato fries. Friendliest service, everyone there is helpful.

I guess it would prove to be beneficial to call before going, just to see what they have in stock... it’s disappointing when you want to patronize this establishment on your lunch break only to find out they don’t have any hot dogs nor wings. Time wasted

I grew up eating Zestos back in South Carolina. I didnt know there was one here, but glad it is! The food is delicious. I especially like the pimento cheese burger.

Mediocre food at best. Most was just bad. Burnt grilled cheese. Had to send it back.Bathrooms were locked, odd but maybe they had problems in the past or something.Staff was pretty unfriendly and acted put out by every minor request.

I have been wanting to go to this place for a while, and finally managed it a few weeks ago. The hot dogs were great, but I really missed out by not adding chili to them. Im not typically a huge chili fan, but after sampling theres Im definitely hooked!

Great little burger and ice cream joint. Burgers good, soft-serve ice cream in the tradition of the old greats like Chars, Dairy Queen and the old Zesto. Family-friendly, comfortable seating and friendly staff. Classic menu with some new surprises like a tasty veggie burger and several salad choices.

The staff dnt have any customer service experience at all, its been 3wks and they still dnt have the big cups for chilli or stuff to go to it. The fries I got today taste like they was cook in old grease

First experience ever 😥 and they messed up our complete order!! As a mother of 7 kids (2 sets of twins) 😆 i work too hard for my money to be wasted..Tried calling repeatedly back and noone answered just a voicemail. Day later finally someone answered but manager was unavailable left my number and still almost 2 weeks later no response. Hate we missed out on a wonderful experience!

Tasty satisfaction! Tonight we decided to try something different and ordered Zesto and Im so glad we did! We ordered to go at the drive thru window. We were greeted promptly with a smile and given a menu. The food was beyond my expectation! The sweet potato fries are wonderful! The all beef hot dogs are delicious people!!!! My dogs came back with slaw on them.... (I dont usually eat slaw ever)I went out on a limb and tasted them and I just discovered I like slaw lol!!! I kid you not people its that good!!! So good you might find you like something you never thought you liked before because its that delicious! Good food, great customer service, and affordable prices are all there so if you want something delicious on a budget give them a try! I went to zestos for the 2nd and last time. Service was slow 1 burger was wrong and insread of making a new burger they proceeded to slap some bacon on that same burger and swbd it back out the door 10 mins later cold. Only thing hot was tbe bacon. Then they forgot a whole burger. I wanted to try a wing basket they didnt hear basket even though I said it several times and they still rung it up wrong. When you think about how much this stuff is to have this kind of experience is unacceptable.... NEVER AGAIN

The food wasnt good at all. I got the Hotdog special with fries and drink. The hotdog was tough to chew, the fries seemed like they were the bottom of the basket., the chili didnt taste right. I basically wasted almost $8.00 dollars. I will never go back again.
