Full disclosure David, the new owner, is the brother-in-law of one of my best friends. Today is the first time I was in the area and stopped in and got several different items to take home. I tried some fried fish, an eggplant salad, and some stuffed cabbage and all three were delicious. If you want real homestyle cooking and not mass produced chain food--you wont be disappointed. Im a mixed Russian/Mediterranean Jew and this reminds me of food we would eat when visiting my grandparents in Brooklyn 40-50 years ago.

What an amazing place! We had my birthday party there! The food was delicious and there was a large variety of food and drinks! If you love Georgian food like chachapuri, chinkali or any famous Russian food - this is the place to go. The service was great! We met the new owners David and Lena, who were very friendly! Most of the product is labelled in English as well as Russian now which helps my husband who does not speak Russian. He was pleased to see the ingredients on every dish as well. The grocery prices are reasonable and there is a HUGE selection. I highly recommend Lacomka for grocery and their Cafe for parties or even just lunch or dinner.Irina

Where do I begin? This place is amazing!!!! We came to Disney parks for vacation, after eating burgers for 3 days we wanted some real food. We found Lacomka on google and after reading reviews we decided to check it out. The food was literally like mom’s cooking. The cabbage rolls were soooooo delicious, even my kids finished their plates. Every item we ordered was really good!!! Highly recommend this place! When we’re in Orlando again we will definitely come here again.

I’ve been so excited to visit the store! I love its selection. I went today and the person behind the register did not have a mask on. Fresh made food was about 18 inches or less from his face. This is a pandemic and I didn’t feel safe so I left immediately. It does make me wonder how much care they take for health and safety in the back of this is how they handle it in the front. While I want to come back, I’m not sure I can. We are in a pandemic and we need to take all precautions to protect one another.

I am from Minnesota and have plenty of Eastern European restaurants around me and was sad that I had to leave minnesota because i thought I wouldn’t be able to find any russian restaurants and thankfully Lacomka was very close to me.I ordered the stuffed cabbage and red borscht. Very delicious.I am not russian or anywhere from Eastern European but love their food over my own cultures food (I am Asian)They also have imported snacks and meat for a very cheap price unlike other foreign places that charge $10 for a chcoxokate bar!

I dont know how else to say this without being too dramatic but, if you havent eaten here yet, you are truly missing out!!We went to have lunch at their cafe because we wanted to try something new. We have never had any sort of Russian or Georgian food, ever. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! My mom and partner are so so so sooo picky but theyre already making plans to go back. I had the chicken paprikash (Please excuse the spelling if its incorrect) and its literally one of my favorite dishes now. My partner had the beef dumplings and she inhaled them, she ate them so fast. My mother ordered the rice pilaf and shes been trying to figure out how they were able to make something so tasty since weve gotten home.We also checked out their grocery selection. We picked up a few things, a chocolate wafer with some hazelnuts and frozen beef dumplings. We probably wouldve ended up buying more things but I wanted to do some research on yummiest Russian or Georgian foods before buying anything else. Finally, the service was absolutely lovely! Everyone was incredibly nice and our food came out so fast! Will definitely be going back soon :)And, for reference, my mom and I are Venezuelan so if we think Lacomkas food is delish, anyone should have no problem enjoying it as well!

The moment I walked in felt like I was home! Owners’ hospitality makes you feel welcome right away. I planned to stop by when I was booking our Seaworld trip - Lacomka cafe was a must stop on my list. I wanted everything on the menu, because everything sounded delicious! We ordered okroshka, pirozhki, samsa, pelmeni, and topped it off with honey cake 😉 Finished our visit with major grocery shopping to satisfy all my cravings for later. Surprisingly, frozen pelmeni and vareniki made it through a 1,5 hr drive and stayed frozen. Did I mention that their prices are amazing? I expected to pay more for a trunk full of food but was pleasantly surprised. If you are near Orlando, definitely put Lacomka cafe on your travel list - the place is nice and cozy, and reminds home so much!P.S - I’ll be back for my Napoleon😜

Congratulations on 20 years as part of Orlando’s community!I can’t believe I didn’t know about you guys sooner! In my search of good pastries, I found Lacomka bakery in Yelps list. The shop is lovely with snacks, treats and food from Russia. They have a very interesting selection of different foods.I will have to come back to buy baked goods and other snacks/treats. I settled on a bag of Russian candies. On inspection of the bag, I could only make out about half of the candies. The rest had no English indication on what they were (fun game of candy roulette)! Most of the candies were chocolates, which were very tasty! The shop keeper was very kind and pleasant to talk to! They seem to be family run, which I greatly admire.I’ll have to come back in the near future. They have a menu of Russian foods that I’m interested in trying!

We were visiting Orlando for a week. And we discovered this place. OMG! I really loved this place. We shopped there 2 times. First time, we stopped by for a small snack, endeded up with a big bag of goodies. Pirozhki, soups, chicken otbivnie, and of course, ice cream. Also, they have a good selection of beer and wine. Second time, I got borscht, pirozhki ( again ) and kotleti. My picky eater toddler daughter ate 2 of them. Everything was so fresh, workers were very helpful and provided amazing customer service.I dont usually leave reviews but this place is great! I will definitely return when next time in Orlando.

I have 6 Ukrainian kids that love to enjoy Borscht at least 3-4 times a year. We always preorder a large jar and it’s always delicious. Last week we thought we had preordered the large jar and upon arrival they only had two liters which was depressing since we drove so far and two liters isn’t enough for the kids.Today we returned planning to buy the big jar when we found out that they changed owners October 2020. That explains why they didn’t understand our preorder LOLThe young man stated that their Borscht is much better than the previous owners. I must AGREEIt’s much better more chunky. The only thing we disliked is there was quite a few pinto beans in it and we’ve never had Borscht with beans. Wish there was more potatoes and believe it or not less meat. Also bought the beet salad, did NOT like it because it to was loaded with pinto beans.Very very very great place to get authentic Russian food highly recommend

I went here with my wife tonight to try this lovely little family style Russian restaurant. First I must say if you are looking for an authentic place look no further. When you walk in you will see a wide variety of food imported from Russia waiting for you to take it home. Then you will see where you can dine and choose from their amazing menu. The waiter is so friendly and will help you with anything you need, and gives helpful insight to how things are cooked. Their food is made from scratch right in the restaurant, and served very quickly. The presentation is just breathe taking, and the quality just from that first bite makes you sit back and say wow as a great combination of food and spice come together. It is not heavy food and comes at a very low price for the quantity and quality.

We skated in just before they closed for the night and picked up some savories for dinner and the next mornings breakfast. Unfortunately, by the time we tore into the selection of savory Pirozhki, Chebureki, Khachapuri, and Belyashi, we couldnt remember which pastry was which. Every single one seemed to be better than the one before it, though, so the real problem will arise when we stop by next time were in Florida and try to decide what to order. Really, though, Im planning that next visit to give us the opportunity to try the Pelmini, Golubtsy, Borshch, and all the sweets on the menu.Cant wait!

First, I like the food, which is different from the other ethnic restaurants in Orlando. Second, the atmosphere is that of a small, family grocery with a few tables, rather than I HOPE or Dennys. My brother lives nearby so when I went to visit him this was on my list of places to go and I was not disappointed. The food is cooked fresh and everything I tried was delicious. Ive been back a few times and tried several things. One of my favorites the guy called a russian hamburger it was a fried dough pocket with beef and spices inside, sorry for not knowing the real name. They even have frozen pelmeni you can buy and take home to enjoy whenever you would like. Instead of a place I go when I visit my brother this has become a reason to go visit him.

Russians have a partiality for sugar and cream and more sugar, so after a meal of green borshch and vareniki (which you can also get here), the dessert case awaits for a course called zaedkami, the “after meal.” Jam-filled blini are just a sweet appetizer for karina buttercream and honey layer cake, hazelnut Prague cake or the fabulous monastyrskaya izba, a “monastery hut” made of puff pastry, Morello cherries and rich sour cream custard.
