I went the day of my daughters game to get her black soccer shorts they didn’t have any youth girl sizes so I picked up a woman’s extra small (fingers crossed) they’d fit my petite daughter. Unfortunately they didn’t so we returned to exchange them for the only black soccer shorts they had a boys youth a bit longer. When we got to her game she changed and the coach said her shorts weren’t regulation so I bought her some new ones from Elite right before the game put the boys shorts back in the bag with the receipt. I returned to the wood river store on my day off with the shorts, a pair of socks (the size they recommended for her) and the receipt in the bag. The employee told me the socks were dirty - my daughter put the socks on right before the game walked from the team area to me to show me they went all the up to her thighs I had her remove them, so I did see dust on the bottoms from walking in white socks in such a crowded area. I told the employee that was ok I wasn’t going to worry about the socks but she flung them down on the counter in front of me then preceded to tell me that my receipt was incorrect there was nothing she could do. And if I had the proper receipt an employee would have wrote the shorts didn’t fit. I paused stunned at the rudeness over $4.97 pair of shorts. I then gathered my things and told her not to worry about it, she then after all that said she could look up the proper receipt (why wouldn’t she do this first) but after being treated like I was trying to hussle a store out of 5 bucks I was done, and not even two weeks ago I spent just shy of $200 dollars here. I called the customer complaint line in the parking lot and the customer service lady left me on hold for several minutes when she came back on the line she told me that she spoke to the employee and that she was very obliging offering to print out my receipt and I walked out. I lost it on that poor lady I told how I was treated and I won’t be stepping one foot back in that store. I’m disappointed that this is acceptable behavior from employees, I would have been ok if the items couldn’t have been returned but walking into a business and being treated in such a manner is unacceptable.

Dont bother...they have no idea what they are selling. They completely sold me the wrong merchandise! How can call themselves a sporting goods store when all they sell is fashion? Go across the street to the sporting goods store that is actually a sporting goods store!!!
