Didnt have what I needed in stock, so Id have to doer it online and wait (probably get it cheaper on another site) then their system wouldnt allow me to use my rewards certificate which was varied valid. Whats the point having rewards emailed to u if the stores system cant use them ?

Staff was knowledgeable about my issue and sent me out feeling confident about my purchase.They also didnt upsell me things I didnt need.I will come back.

You pay more than if you order the same items online. Some items are close to online prices and some are much more. But most online retailers dont have lights and payroll to meet either. Every time I go to the store everyone is incredibly helpfull and friendly. The store is clean and very organized. They offer discounts to US Boat members. If your new to boating and need a little hand holding this is the place for you to go.

Ive been here several times and i can say first hand the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The store may be a bit on the small side (compaired to other shops Ive been to) but it is well organized and packed with up to date merchandise. If they dont have it in stock, they can get it for you from a huge selection of pretty much anything you can think of. They also do engine repairs, and they are very proficient. Ill certainly keep going back for most if not all of my marine needs.

I needed a double block for my sailboat. This store was easy to get to and the salesperson found what I needed right away. The price was less than I expected

Unless you know exactly what you want and it is very common, the best thing to say about this West Marine location is go to the Alexandria store.

This place has turned into a clothing retail store they dont have a large variety of actual boat stuff that you need. They are way overpriced make sure if youre going to buy little odds and ends that you go somewhere else are you going to be paying double even sometimes triple the price.

Small store has limited stock. Management and staff often unhelpful. Princeton I dont call to tell you that your order is in. Supplier charges high prices. One of the male employees stares at womens breasts, which, of course is hostile. The branch in Alexandria is much better.

I just called asking for information regarding a product they CARRY in the store. I got a rude person responding with a rude I dont know answer followed by a sigh like Im such bother even though this conversation lasted no longer than 30 seconds. Well, youve lost a customer and Ill definitely spread the words to all my fishing forums. Unreal!!!

West Marine has always been kinda expensive and the stocking is kind of spartan...thats WM for you.What completely fails me are the hours: 6pm all days except Sunday which is 5! Im sorry but, anyone that can afford a boat (or WM for that matter) has a job...this bankers hours thing is beyond ridiculous!If I wanted something NOW to fix my boat its going to be before I get in the water and not 9am...and after I get out (Ill duct tape it to get back in...oh and there is little in WM for emergent repairs).So, this is a brick and mortar store that has failed to realize that they are a convenience store that should have 7-11 hours on the weekend (especially Fathers day weekend)....whats the point of convenience?I dunno...1/3 the price and youll get it day after tomorrow from amazon? Nooo brainer unless you need the name brand. Prediction: 5 years and WM will be a historic landmark; look kids, I used to give money to that place.(oh and I found a 37ft piece of rope remnant for $209.00.......pleasse tell me this was a serious typo because I give it 2 years for my prediction if not!)
