Called this afternoon to see if I could make a same day inspection and they told me to just stop by. I showed up after work around 5:15pm and was out without a wait in about the usual half hour it takes to get an inspection done. No issues at all. Had friendly interactions with all staff members I met. Would recommend!

DO NOT GO HERE! For inspections or oil changes! He will literally squeeze every dollar he can out of you! Oil change no matter the car I’ve brought has been no less than $70. Inspections forget about it. One of my cars he failed for a rust spot. Ok fine I told him I’m going to take it somewhere else to get fixed cause I didn’t have the money to pay him and I went over a week later got it fixed and let it sit since it was just my extra car anyway forgot to bring it back in the 30 day free inspection period no big deal I bring it back to Hkk for inspection I don’t even tell him that he already inspected it since I have to repay again anyway and this man then tries to fail it for something totally different. Like a ball joint or something. Mind you the car was good and drove good never gave me any problems but the car between his first inspection and his second was driven to a another shop in the city and home where it sat. So I know I definitely didn’t all of a sudden to more damage to the car that’s when I told the owner that’s definitely not a thing since when he inspected it a month ago supposedly those where fine he then acted like he never seen my car before till I pulled his first inspection report out of the glove box! Then he passed it and dropped his new claim about something being wrong. He is definitely a lover of money!

Fun owner. Helpful person and just need patience when dealing with the guy. Overall Id go back.

The owner is a crooked old man. Try to get my inspection done and he failed me on wipers and tires which he have at the shop. I had both of the issues fixed went back he tells me come back tomorrow. Went there today and he tells me I went there to late and he can’t do it today I have to come earlier. Then why you tell me to go there anytime between 9 and 5. Poor communication unprofessional and not reliable.

Terrific 1st experience! Went here for a RI Inspection sticker w/ no appointment, and they were able to accommodate asap and have me out of there in 30 mins or less. The mechanic and I believe shop manager were both very friendly. Their front store is neat and clean, too, and is nearly the same size as your typical auto zone type of place. When i need actual maintenance ill be going here for a 2nd visit. Thx HKK for your good service! -Keith

Brought it to what we were told same day for a tune up and did not get it back till thw next day and was specific about a tune up and call us with what else might be wrong. Well they didnt do it just fixed everything so got hit with a 992 dollar bill out of nowhere. Completely unprofessional.

We took the car there for inspection and sticker this guy just started changing parts at random after a week we went back to find this guy put 300 miles on the car driving around charged us 715.oo . car doesnt have inspection sticker he says it needs a new intake manifold wanted to charge us 700 + more this guy is FRAUD

Good service. Answered questions well and helped me buy some new tires. Through in a free alignment after mounting the new tires and gave me a heads up on some mechanical issues I wasnt aware of. Glad they did, was able to fix it before it would have been to expensive.

I went to HKK auto service to get a set of snow tires for my 1985 Caprice . The man behind the counter remembered me from when I had bought my four tires 2.5 years ago, he even remembered I was suppose to come back to get snow tires the same year . Just laughed and said I wanted to drive in the winter with my new tires. It was fun, I have to say I learned a lesson, get snow tires this year . So I ordered them left him my car he called me telling me their was a break line that blew. Gave me the price to fix it and was very reasonable. I told him to get it done. Over all very happy with this experience!

The worst customer service ever! I went to get my car inspected and the guy just looks at me eating for a minute before he even says what you want?! rudely. He actually was looking right at me and took 2 bits before he even spoke. After I told him I wanted and inspection he ask for the money and my registration. I went back to my car and got it and waited for him some more. I asked him how long it would take and he said 2 hours. I asked if he was joking and he responded like I kicked his dog. They only had 1 car in the 4 car garage. Thankfully I just left and he follows me to the door like he was going to do something managerial. There was one other person there and the place was empty and all he did was shake his head. Maybe he only likes to service old white guys. Stay Away!!!

I just started using this place.....They over quoted me on some labor, will meet with them tomorrow to sift through all this. I hope they will be honest, too many are not. Will keep all updated. HKK should be investigated for fraud and misleading consumers. I needed an ABS sensor that was malfunctioning fixed in order to pass Rhode Island State inspection. I arrived and asked if they could do my inspection and if my ABS sensor could be fixed the owner said yes that can be fixed. They collected the fee for the inspection upfront and about 40 minutes later handed me a failed Rhode Island inspection report. The owner stated once it’s fixed you can bring it back within 30 days at no charge. The whole point of me going to get my car inspected was to have my ABS sensor corrected so I could successfully pass the Rhode Island state inspection. The owner just wanted my money in cash and never intended on fixing the initial problem.

Place is a joke if I could rate it zero stars I would went in there to get my transmission looked at. He had my car for almost two weeks, all he did was put on 2 new tires without asking me and give me an alignment. My transmission is doing the same thing that it was doing when I dropped it off. Bad business don’t waste your money.

Scam, SCAM and scam, Please be aware I went there for an oil change and inspection on 2/26/2020, I got scam for $259.00.I dropped my car, when I came back to pick it up he told Me the car need this and that and do the work work without let me know. Nothing was done!SCAMMERS

First time at this place. The guys name is Tim and is a real joker. Others that were there seems to get along well with him. Seems to prefer cash. I had a tire repair and tire rotation. Really quick and price was very reasonable. Not sure about more major repairs.

This place is full of crooks. My father in law who is Asian can barely speak English. Im very mechanically inclined. I didnt have time to fix the car with work. Im paying to have this fixed so I asked what was wrong with the car and he told me Im coming in with guilty accusations and he hasnt seen me with these people in the 3 days the car has been there. He was in my face trying to be the push over. Sitting on the car to taunt me. After calming down I see a few different parts changed that would cause a car to overheat. I could have done the process of elimination game. They dont know what they are doing over there. Its one thing paying an honest mechanic but if your talking about guilty accusations your more than likely to be guilty. If you go here you will be robbed blind. This place needs to be under investigation for robbing customers.

Everytime I go to this guy, it aquires new problems, he fails it, I hear him scamming other people, giving them bad advice and shaming them for going to other places for work. He also consistently quotes work at 100s more than other places. Dont go here.

I recommend hkk to my nice because I seem have very good service and only had one problem with they service that they fix the problem at know exact cost to me. People need know they over look affect and there are things will make your fail mass be in Rhode island it may pass. Be some things may in Mass but not in Rhode island. The laws are not the same from state to state. This shop is busily do too its first come first serve not by appointment. So be willing wait or be first couple of customer in the morning.

Oh dear lots of bad experiences here! Im glad I say I wasnt one of them. We brought our vehicle multiple times and have not had a problem. The guy at the front was nothing short of genial. He joked with our children, spoke kindly to my husband and to me. Our truck wouldnt pass inspection at first so he explained to us the issues, fixed them, and it passed with no problem. Id recommend this shop and Id go back if I needed to.

SKETCHY!!!! Went there for a sticker not only did they take $$$ first took forever. I then got a phone call from my sons school to pick him up immediately ( hes autistic and was having a meltdown) so I told him I had to leave. He then started telling me all this work he could do for 600 because couldnt even give me sticker when it JUST GOT A STICKER A MONTH AGO IN MA and had to switch registration. Seriously think they are corrupt and wouldve ripped me off for more than the sticker price ( yes, he kept it) if I was a stupid female. Cant believe how messed up some people are..... >:/

First of all, I came to HKK as a recommendation from my uncle.. I should have read the reviews to this place before going. My car passed inspection a month ago in Mass. But I just moved so I needed to switch it over to RI. My mom went in to see how long it would take to get an inspection as we were limited in time at that point because we needed to get my daughter off the school bus.. the guy at the desk was extremely rude to her when she tried to ask as he was with a customer.. long story short is that he failed the inspection, even though it passed a Mass inspection a month before. Id give it no stars if I had the option to. Dont ever go there. WORST. MECHANIC. PLACE. EVER.!!

I called them to ask about inspection for my truck and the guy on the phone misunderstood me and started yelling at me and lecturing me before I could even clarify. Unbelievably terrible customer service, be careful how you phrase your question or you might get your head chewed off.
