From looking at the 5 star reviews that dont say anything, and the detailed 1 stars, it seems like they have a lot of fabricated reviews to boost their rating here.Writing for my aunt who went to have a car starter put in. They said it would be ready by the weekend. Called and said it was all set just needed something small and would be ready soon. So she went down to the shop to find her car apart and not being worked on. They had either lied or confused her with someone else. No big deal so she goes home. Again they call and tell her the same thing and again she goes and they arent working on her car. She had a trip planned that she ended up missing because they did not have it done by the weekend. By then they had also called 3 different times with wrong information. It would not have been a big deal if they had been upfront with the timeline at the start or even halfway through. But to continue to say its almost done when they werent even working on it? It almost seemed intentional. Then they had the nerve to say it was her fault somehow. After she finally got her car back they called and said they messed up on her bill and that she owed them another $100. I told her she shouldnt pay it because they were probably lying or messing her up with someone else again. But she said she was too honest and went down to pay. Id encourage you to find somewhere else to go.
I had a remote starter fail while still under warranty. They during the middle of the pandemic (this was June 2020) took it upon themselves to invite themselves into my car with no mask at all, and continually violated my personal space to tell me that there was nothing they could do and they refused to honor their own warranty and offered me the privilege of PAYING them to remove the failed system that was under their warranty so that I could then pay them to install a new one. Despite this generous offer I instead when to JDK security in Worcester, a few miles more but well worth the time as it allowed me to get a far superior system installed that has not failed and was installed by a true professional unlike the folks running this scam establishment.
Walked in and looked around store for 15 minutes without a soul around. No staff present. No one answered the phone. Walked in and out. Even went to the mechanical part of the store and no staff inside. Big open sign, no customer service at all.
I specifically called and told them my sunroof is stuck in the vent(open) position and doesnt close or open all the way and I needed a repair as soon as possible. I was told the guy there has been doing it 30+ years and it can be fixed. Under the assumption that it would be fully repaired I dropped off my car. I received a call around 5pm(closing time) saying it was all set and I needed to pay $300. Gladly I paid and got a ride back to my car ready to use the sunroof... Well, got to the car and it didnt work. Their excuse, We did you a favor and closed it
Website says 2 stores. I drove to the Auburn store. It is closed down. Then I drove to the Worcester store, website says 9:30, I was there until 10:15a waiting for them to open along with a couple other people. Apparently they didnt feel like opening the store today...........Not a way to run a business. Ill find somewhere else.

If you want a place that puts aftermarket, cheap products in your car and charges you over 500$ saying they were specially ordered than this is your place... Just ask for Steve, hell rip you off for hundreds of dollars. Long story short, we will be filing a fraud claim as a result of this incident. Dont go here unless you want to be ripped off.
So i called and spoke with JOHN on the phone, i explained to him that my sunroof has a slight leak, he told me to come down & have a guy take a quick look at it to see whats going on. So i drove there from clinton, when I arrived he went in back to the shop department for less than a minute, came back to the front & said i have to make an appointment. I said to him, why couldnt you tell me that over the phone? He said, HIS GUY WAS BUSY. Just another scum business in worcester.
Terrible, terrible business. These guys charged me for headlights that are not compatible with my car. It was very dangerous to drive at night. And they did a terrible job installing them. In my opinion-- crooks that dont know anything about cars.Additionally, they did not know how to fix a remote start key that they sell lol. Fools.
Charged me $317 to tint 4 windows and a windshield, riddled with bubbles, and they gave me the wrong tint, dont go here, place will rip you off.
Never open. They say theyre open, but noone is ever there. Drove there today for a little bit of an emergency and theres not one person in there working. While I was in the parking lot trying to figure out whats going on 2 other people showed up trying to get in and were also irritated.

Overpriced and poor customer service. I was up charged for tint removal. I called the clerk on the phone quoted me a price but the price changed when I picked my vehicle up the Clerk charged an additional 100 dollars. When I asked why I was being charged more clerk was extremely rude and claimed it was the price I was quoted. Charge 260 for tint removal.
Service here is excellent. I have used this fantastic place before and got excellent service. They are always prompt with service. The atmosphere is pleasant and clean. Keep up the good work!

Ive been at Sun and Sound on several occasions and Ive been helped extremely well on all occasions. Ive had work done on my sun roof and my key fob. All excellent work.
These guys did a remote starter for me and it was not an upgrade to the factory key fob. The programming is messed up and not all the functions work. They had very little to offer to fox the issue. Do not recommend icing them.

Car came out 10X better than I thought it would, custom stripes and the rebuilding of a door on my car. Would highly recommend to anyone SERIOUS about customization. Fair prices too for the amount of labor that went down
OVERPRICED. DO NOT GO. This place is a scam. They charge $119 per hour. I went to ask for a front and rear dash cam installation (I already had the equipment). I called to ask for an estimate and they said they would need to look at the system (they did not give me the hourly rate even knowing it). When I arrived the person told me it would take 2.5 - 3 hours of installation. Therefore charging me around $350. I went to JVs Window Tint & Car Electronics and they did it for $100 in less than an hour. JVs also charge $250 with equipment if you dont have it. I hope no one gets scammed in Sun and Sound like I almost did.

Seems they have no control of the tint guy. I traveled for 1 hour to get there for my 9:30 appointment, gentleman said tint guy would be there soon. 11:15 tint guy still not there so they bring vehicle inside to appease me. Got my car back at 1:00 for a job that took 1.5 hrs.
Probably the worst place to go to in Worcester for any car audio. They charge 120 an hour and they make sure to take their sweet time on your vehicle. All products here are overpriced than what they retail at and they don’t care about their customers. And their demo room for car audio doesn’t even work most of the time. Would not recommend this place.
Sun and Sound in Dec 2016 installed a remote car starter in my 2013 Ford Fusion for $300. It didnt work on day 1. They told me to take it to a Ford dealer for a software update. I did, +$100. It worked. Happy wife.Fast forward 2 years, battery is fully charged but car is electrically dead, I mean dead and dark like there is no battery in the car. Towed to Ford dealer. Diagnosis, shoddy wiring on install of remote car starter fried a control board. Replace board, restore wiring and rip out remote starter, +$1,000. Add tow and rental for +$200, bringing the total to $1,600 for 14 months of remote starting convenience; that works out to more than $100/month. Unhappy me and unhappy wife.I had a very bad feeling on day 1 when Sun and Sound made it my problem to fix the fact that what they sold and installed didnt work. It took two years for this bad feeling to sadly prove out.Shoddy workmanship + zero accountability = the opposite of priceless.My moto for Sun and Sound, Live. Learn. Dont return (as a customer).

Called them up and got info over the phone and set up an appointment for installation of a remote starter and key less entry system. Over the phone and in person everyone was very helpful and nice. The system was installed on time (early) and I was very happy with the overall experience with them.
I thought my experience was stress-free and easily scheduled and completed.
I have been here a few times and will continue to go back. I originally came in because I had a leaky sunroof and they recommended what they called a yearly maintenance that would most likely fix the problem. They got my vehicle in right away and took care of the problem within a couple hours and my sunroof has never worked better. While I was waiting I ended up finding a bunch of other things I wanted to get for my car and have gone back and got a radio Im in love with, speakers, and a remote start. Ill be coming back here for everything!

Highly suggest you go somewhere else. I had called them on Saturday afternoon and asked when there was an opening. The guy on the phone said Monday morning and to be there at 9:30. I even paid in full that day ahead of time.I did what I was supposed to do per their instruction. The guy with the white hair and glasses was extremely rude unfriendly and very unprofessional. He did not inform me the tint guy was on his way until I approached him and asked when they were taking my car in. Good customer service would have informed immediately instead of ignoring their customerIn addition to the unprofessional rude employees the 3 other customers asked why I was still there, they all said wow that is so messed up and were shocked no discount was afforded as a result of their bad business practices. I did ask prior the rude unprofessional guy at the front if I could get a discount and he said he needed to ask the manager to which I am quite sure never was done. HONESTLY, I never should need to ask, it is not difficult to call.the tint guy you have a car here not waiting 2 hours KNOWING the customer is right there waiting.Keep in mind this is the 3rd vehicle I have brought there and I can not stress enough never again. They are an awful awful awful company. I can not emphasize enough to go somewhere else. I will report them the the Better Business Bureau so a complaint can be filed and on record. Furthermore, dont make an appt, again, I called 2 days prior, made an appt for Monday as instructed to being vehicle at 9:30 paid in full, and took from 9:30 to 2:20. IT SHOULD NOT TAKE HOURS, THE MANAGER SITTING IN THE BACK WITH HIS DOG KNOWING A CUSTOMER WAS THERE WAITING FOR HOURS KNOWING HIS TINT GUY WAS NOT THERE COULD HAVE BEEN MORE PROFESSIONAL AND ADDRESS THE ISSUE AND APOLOGIZED BUT COULD HAVE CARED LESS.ALSO, while sitting in their cold building since they have poor heating, they were taking walk ins because they had a few no shows. These walk in were out before me.So their dishonesty by saying I did not have an appt was a lie as they should have clearly seen it was already paid in full!! SUN AND SOUND is a very bad place inept at customer service and very very unprofessional. The should be ashamed of themselves as a whole. Went in to have the rear windows tinted and got offered a deal I couldnt refuse for a full tint. Amazing job and great customer service!!! Would recommend them to anyone looking for a great tint job.

Most horrible customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Because one of their master tax decided that he wanted to call out they kept my brothers car the whole entire day without calling him just tell him when it was going to be done. So then I called at three to ask when it would be done they said two hours its now 520 and his car is still not done do not get anything done by these people they dont care about customer service they charge $95 an hour and he tried to tell me that he cannot discount to even 5% because he had to pay his technicians and he has overhead costs. Lamest excuse Ive ever heard in my life for customer service do not get your car done here go to Best Buy at least they stand by their product and give you good customer service this family run company or whatever they are does not care about customer service whatsoever all theyre concerned about is the bottom line how much money they can make off of you so I highly highly recommend that you never use this company for any needs that you have because of something goes wrong theyll blame you and then shrug their shoulders and say too bad sorry not my fault it was the tech mission that called in...
**Buyer Beware** My wife bought me a car starter system upgrade for $150, a promotion they were having for Christmas. When we went to have it installed they tried charging us another $50!! When I asked why and tried to explained the upgrade policy they told me last year when I had the initial system installed, the manager argued and said they were now using different controllers and had to upgrade the whole system. The manager/owner got very upset, he said I was trying to get something for free.. He agreed to do it only after I proved to he was wrong. Based on my own principles I declined and asked for a refund.
Price gauging and seriously over priced. Save yourself a ton of money by going anywhere else. I recommend Auburn house of wheels.
I dropped my car off at 12:30 pm. They said it would be ready for 3:00. I didn’t get my car until 8:00pm. They also left tint peeling in the rear windshield instead of cutting it. This shop is garbage and to charge $260 for such a hack is a joke. I’d give 0 stars if I could.

Worse place ever.. had a remote installed in 12/2018 and they did it wrong took it back to be fixed and now they come up with that is not a product they sell...what the heck! Stay away people. They install cheap products from who knows where and puts on the receipt another brand. VERIFY WHAT THEY INSTALL WITH WHAT UR RECEIPT SAYS. THEY ARE TOTAL RIP OFFS

The techs could barely speak English and were hidden from public view (in back of shop). They installed a dash cam upside down on my car! Had to have them remove it and reinstall it. They will not let you watch them install anything, either! Anthony is a con man and a shady scam artist.

Very knowledgeable staff, and theyve got a great selection of all types of gear and services. Went in trying to get my radio changed, and they were very professional, especially in explaining to me how my system worked.
Dont waste your time. The owner only cares until they get your money. They charged over double for every part in my stereo installation. A $40 radio online was priced at $100 in store and to install it cost just under $400. Plus, my steering wheel controls for the stereo no longer work, which they NEVER mentioned and are now telling me that we need to pay for another $100 wiring harness to fix it. Just overall no care for the customers, once they have your money they dont care what happens.

I went in there cos i was having a issue with my radio and my cigarette lighter fuse, they couldnt fix it and tried talking me into buying a new radio which was way way overpriced . So basically i paid 145$ for a cigarette lighter fuse change and left with my radio problem. I could have argued about the price but it was a lesson learnt for me. TBh they deserve less than one star. Definitely not going back ever again

They refused to tell me what the part was called because he said he didnt want me going anywhere to find the part cheaper that he was tired of customers like this. And that I was a waste of his time and money. Not my fault that they are killing people out of pocket for a simple job! Then change their hours after taking a full day to respond to my complaint saying either return the merchandise or drop their price of no avail...Bad business. Bad customer support. Sun and Sounds is a family operated business and it stands out. When I needed things done, the owner was always very kind, spent time with me explaining matters that were important and in the end everything was done properly. I read some negative reviews here on Google and I do not agree with all of them. People bring their own equipment/materials to install, and majority of those are inexpensive and poor quality. So the installers get blamed basically for low quality materials they get to install. I purchased the equipment from Sun and Sound, and its been over 10 years and its still working! Thank you Sun & Sound!
I went to them with a top of the line aftermarket multi-function radio gps ect. I am a 70 year old male with all my marbles. First they were condescending, indicating that my purchase was not as good as buying from them, I checked out their products and for I wanted equipment price was not that different. Second I called them and they said come in at such a time, I waited five hours and they gave me about a $200 bill for just the instillation of my equipment, said they could not do the back up camera or the proper fit of the radio without more money. .. ok but when I came in the next day I waited from 11:30am til 5:30pm and they charged me another $379.00. Finally, I found this business to be smooth talkers and able to overcharge for all they do. I would never recommend them to anyone. I mean come on...$579.00 to install an aftermarket product. Sun And Sound is a total rip-off.

These guys were great they, helped us get a brand new antenna put on our Mercedes Sprinter Van as well as rewired the new remote so I could continue to have tv on the go 10/10 would use again!
Last year I came in to reprogram my remote my old remote broke bought new one brought in, costed me $90 cut throat, and the vehicle used to have light on when it remote start now after they play with it, it doesnt have any light on.This year I had problem with starter after changing battery, alternator failed so battery light was on, I already try the relearning trick from online, but to make sure it not just the alternator, I brought my car in for them to check, they after 10 minutes they said it must be alternator, and asked if I want to change they can do it, I asked how much, Steve said 450, I asked is that including parts n labors, he said yes, I didnt want to wait further because its winter, so I said ok, he said about couple hours,I went home drove by 3 hrs later my car still in garage, they closed at 6 or so, we went out n drove by again saw they closed, anyway next day they wanna charge us 950 for 350 alternator and more than 4 hrs labors, John said he wasnt the one who quoted, so had to call his manager Steve. After ague with them ( I know alternator only take 1-2 hrs of work by Google, and the parts (AP) was 250 retail price, because advance auto parts next door has them, 250 is after u return old alternator, AP charge $80 if u dont return) and 4 years ago my Nissan maxima changed alternator costs 180 labors, I bought alternator from AP n belt for 165 total, I know because ordered online n I had it on my account when I change the battery. This place is a rip off. Do not waste time and money with these dishonest people.They are not mechanics, they took their long sweet time to work on my car n charged us for their inexperience work.And saw they charged all customers extra fee ( I think 3.5%)for using credit cards just because their debit machine is down, n almost charged us too but my wife stopped him.From 450 quote they jacked up to 950, then after arguing with them they went down to 750, still a rip off . Stay away, and DO NOT EVER LET THEM DO ANY MECHANICAL WORKS ON YOUR CARI Will never come back to this place.BESTBUY sometimes have remote start system 250 including installation, DONT GO HEREand IF YOU LOOK BELOW WITH ALL THE USER GIVING 5 STARS AND HIDING THEIR NAME just saying (google reviewer) they are fake accounts made up by owner to bring up their stars, check YELP TOO AS WELL, THEY HAVE PLENTY OF 1 STARS REVIEWS
Just got my system put in. No longer than 20 minutes goes by and my driver door speaker and tweeter dont work. And Im missing a small plastic piece on the door. SMH

Very, very, very rude. Made many attempts to have a remote starter installed with no success. I had already paid for the device and was given an empty box to surprise my wife with at Christmas (several years ago). Sun and Sound already had my money. The gentleman who I believe is an owner was extremely rude to my wife and more so to me when I tried to deal with the situation. We attempted to have the BBB help us out to no avail. I ultimately gave up on the situation because I had too much going on in life. Sun n Sound still has my 200 bucks. I tell everyone not to go there.
