I hardly write reviews but Glenn and his team surprised me with their kindness and professionalism. They went out of their way to accommodate my busy schedule, gave me 1:1 time, and tried everything possible to find me what I was looking for.Glenn wasnt just trying to sell. Often times he advised me to buy options from other sellers that he thought fit my home and space better than any options he could provide. I won my confidence and trust.There was also a particularly expensive fixture that I was in love with. Glenn advised that it was too long for my ceiling height. When he understood that I had my heart set on it, he offered to rewire and shorten the hanging length of the chandelier for a small fee.I visited at least 4 to 5 other lighting store but I did not find anyone with Glenns expertise and Paulas wealth of knowledge when it comes to lighting.Glenns price were also the cheapest between the stores I visited (in NY and CT) for the exact same fixtures/same manufacturers. He also had a very transparent pricing policy from the start.

My wife and I purchased a new home and went looking for lighting fixtures for every room in the house. We visited several lighting stores during our search and, lucky for us, we found Lights On Design on Central Avenue in Yonkers. We worked directly with Paula, the Sales Manager, who was simply terrific. She was knowledgeable, professional and most importantly, very helpful to us in making selections.What we didnt see showcased on the floor of the recently redesigned store, we were able to see with Paula online and in several catalogues, which she seemed to have memorized. We ended up purchasing a dining room chandelier, pendants for the kitchen island, a foyer entrance fixture, vanity lights for two bathrooms, and a ceiling fan. All in all, the service was outstanding, the pricing was excellent, and I can say without hesitation that it was a very pleasant and satisfying buying experience.

Paula was amazingly helpful while assisting me with selecting many fixtures today. She guided me and answered my many questions. She suggested snd pointed out characteristics that matched my decor and taste. What a God sent!! Glen was also helpful in securing my pieces! Run, don’t walk if you need professional assistance with your lighting purchases!! Excellent experience!!!

Top quality and beautiful variety of lights at the absolute lowest, best prices! Lights On has it all and if they dont have it, they will find it for you. The customer service is phenomenal! Glenn is absolutely wonderful to work with- personable, helpful, and honest. He gave us his honest opinion even when it meant going with the lower priced option and really just wanted the best for us. Though there was a beautiful assortment of lights in the store, we were thinking of something specific for a vanity light and immediately, Glenn and Paula showed us exactly what we wanted from their many catalogs. My husband and I went back many times and each time, they were just as warm and accommodating. We felt like we were visiting a friend. We could not be happier with the lights we chose and truly thank Glenn and his staff for lighting up our dream home!

Amazing Customer Service and Beautiful Chandlers!My mother and I had a great experience from the minute we entered the store. No hassle or pressure to purchase anything. They were super knowledgeable and helped us find the right Chandlers for my home. Plus the prices are great very reasonable and affordable no matter your budget. Great overall service from picking the Chandlers, to the bulbs, to installation, to delivery or pick, they have you covered!!

We came in to look at lights based on a previous visit, and one of the ladies on the floor took pictures of us on her personal phone and attempted to text it to someone. When I questioned her about it, she kept trying to minimize the situation by justifying it was for her manager. Completely unprofessional.

Paula, who is a residential designer with decades of experience in the industry, was extraordinary to work with. We were in the market for three kitchen island pendants and had been to three other lighting stores while also having scoured Wayfair, etc. Paula immediately had us look at lighting catalogs, explaining that we could get whatever we wanted. As she led us through product, she asked us questions about ceiling height and counter length to determine the proper size. We had questions of our own about matters such as metal color coordination with other metals in our kitchen and differences among manufacturers. Paula answered them carefully and clearly, assisting us in this way with our decisions. How amazing! We had hardly expected this when we walked into the store but there we were, attended to by a professional designer, and at no extra charge. Glen, who is the manager, is also a designer with vast experience in the industry, regularly working with developers in addition to residential and commercial buyers. He was fantastic, too. Delivery time for pick-up at the store is only three business days—faster than online. Pricing is great, no higher than the best deals currently available online. This is the store to go to wherever you are in Westchester or the city.

EXTREMELY RUDE SALESPERSON!!! I wanted to buy several lighting fixtures for my new home. There was an extremely large & gorgeous chandelier in the front that clearly was quite expensive, nevertheless, I wanted to see The Chandelier lit up. I asked, “Can you please light up the chandelier?” The Salesman responded, “No, YOU can’t afford it!” Nuff said. He CHASED me down the block that day! This occurred about 8years ago but It was an UNFORGETTABLE experience. You are the store next to Curto’s Appliances (where I had a GREAT experience.) I am writing The Review only now because I am shopping for lighting for my recent NEW HOME purchase & YES, I can afford it!!! : ) No one is perfect—perhaps an APOLOGY is in order?

I’ve purchased items from Glen for my last 2 homes and never had an issue with him. Until last Thursday.... I went in with my three and a half y/o granddaughter to simply replace a Minka ceiling light glass dome which I purchased from him about 2 years ago. She was whiny and trying to wiggle out of my grip and I asked Glen, to ask her to hold my hand. He just stood there staring at my granddaughter. Not a word. I told him I needed to replace the broken dome which I had with me in a box. I know quite well how he feels about children in his store because he badmouthed more than one customer to me in the past. At no time was she out of my grip running rampant. Just whining and trying to let go of my hand. It became more bizarre by the minute. He said “ I thought we were friends....” I have no idea what that meant. Bottom line.... he REFUSED to help me. When I showed him the broken dome, he kept repeating he had no idea what it was and he didn’t carry it. When I told him he sold it to me he said he didn’t know what it was. I asked if he could order it. A blatant NO. I’ve sent many people to him. Never again. He simply could have taken the box and said, let me see what I can do. He is the rudest shop owner I have ever dealt with. Unwarranted and strange. BTW, YOU CAN GET ANYTHING HE HAS ONLINE. SOMETIMES CHEAPER. And please Glen, don’t insult me by saying, wrong store, no one has accused you of being rude, or this didn’t happen. When I left your store I took my granddaughter to Frank Pepe’s. People remarked how well behaved she was. Enough said.Nancy BADDENDUM: In response to the owner’s claims, my granddaughter remained with me the entire visit and I never cursed at him, let alone with my granddaughter by my side. Rude and a liar. I guess it’s working out okay for him.
