This is bar none the best repair shop I have had the pleasure of taking my business too. Associate was helpful and attentive. I am by no means computer savvy, so having it being broken down me was a blessing. Unlike like other places, I was given options on my situation, seeing what would be most cost effective. You can tell they really care about the customer.

I felt Walter and his partner were more used PC salesmen than PC techs. My fathers laptop would not power on. They told me theyd get it powered on, and I paid $50 for their diagnosis. The next day, I was told the motherboard was dead and not repairable, and they pressured me into buying their refurb laptop for $275 (less $50 diagnosis fee). They said Im better off buying their laptop since I already invested $50, and the cheapest used mobo Id find would be $50-$75 plus $100 to install it. They lied!! I ordered a new mobo online for $24 with a 2 year warranty and had it installed by a different place for $35. They told me the video chip was bad, not the mobo. If you want PC diagnosis and repairs for less, I highly recommend anywhere else in Yucaipa, not Step Ahead.

Walter unlocked my computerHe said it was easyI thought I was quoted $40.00 through a special I saw online.But, he informed me that I was wrong & it was $65.00. So, I thought it was too high a price to pay for just simply opening it up, ( forgotten PW) but, whats ya going to do when you need a computer guy? Dominique was really helpful and fast fixing my laptop I needed for school. He gave me a reasonable price and im definitely going to go there fir any future repairs.

Great computer service, and repair store. I have recieved good service and sound advice about choosing the right computer equipment. I in the last year puchased an ethernet switch, a televisikn wall mount. The last call, to bring my desktop tower in for what i thought was a virus turned out to be just a keyboard issue so i also picked up a new keyboard from them. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

Great customer service, the interaction with the guy that works there was awesome! Unfortunately, they price of the repair for my TV was more than the price of a new TV, that is not the fault of step ahead computers though... Highly recommended👍

My laptop couldnt be recovered so I got a refurbished one there for a great price; Dominick went out of his way to recover all the data from my laptop and transfer it to my new laptop. Now I feel like a place were I can go if I have an issue with my laptop and they will assist me..

My computer is 7 years old and I loved it, I didnt want to purchase a new one so I brought it to Step Ahead and they revamped it and it is amazing. It is faster and I have zero complaints. They were very helpful and fast. I have told my friends and family as well as co workers that if they ever need any computer work to bring it to Step Ahead!!

Took my laptop in as I screwed up one of the partitions and had to get Windows and some things re-installed and new drivers. Wasnt real sure they could do it when I left. Got the computer back a couple days ago. Computer is running like it is brand new and everything is working perfectly. Great job....Thanks

Took my computer for a power source problem,which I had fixed before elsewhere with no problem, he returned it gutted it for parts. Beware of this repair guy who claims hes the best, the owner is a nice guy which is why I took it there wanting to support local business, but I will never refer anyone to this chop shop...

High quoting prices for low-cost repairs and upgrades. Only one service tech who knows what hes doing, and is overloaded by the work flow of the overpriced high paying customers.

I was thrilled with the quick turn around I received from Walter Chudzik at Step Ahead Computers on Yucaipa Blvd. My laptop computer has worked perfectly since Walter replaced the internal chip fan.I will continue to return to Walter with any computer problems I may encounter in the future, and I highly recommend this vendor.

I took my bent pin motherboard and he was able to fix them it works perfectly fine now its been roughly a year and still works

I gave this Walter a gtx 980 ti a case and a Intel core i5 cpu among other things and he built it he got the other parts we needed like ram, motherboard, cpu cooler and power supply and it was pretty cheap for the job that was done. He did a very good job in all aspects and was fast as well

DO NOT GO TO FIX YOUR COMPUTER FOR GAMING! Went in and stated needed it fixed specifically for gaming and 400 dollars later computer froze and they blamed the game not their work. After going back and forth twice to get it fixed it still froze. After this we were done. We walked back in with their merchandise and handed it back to them asking for a refund and they said NO! We walked out and left the merchandise there and now filed a dispute with our bank and let them know that we would be doing this and their response was we always win our disputes...ALWAYS? How many people dispute their charges with them? Stay away from this place.
