First timer to this store. Great customer service. Greeted upon entering. We were able to get 5 out of 6 things from our list. Employees were knowledgeable and helpful! Will definitely return again.

Alex, whos one of their employees, went above and beyond to help us. Plus he is congenial and hospitable. Thanks for treating us more than just a transaction.I would have given the store 5 stars but another employee ignored us when we were trying to ask a question. Plus there prices could be a little cheaper

Manager ‘Fred’ is simply phenomenal!!! With his help, I have managed to complete a variety of home projects that were beyond my talent level. Fred takes his time explaining how to complete difficult tasks in a understandable, simplistic way. My Home Depot trips have become less frequent as I find Best Lumber carries most of the products I need and Fred provides quality customer service and beyond.

Terrible place to shop. I try to stay local but businesses like this make it hard for me to do so. I wanted to do a return, but they told me that I would have to come back in an hour or pay the 5% they get charged when I use a card. How is that my fault? Also the little girl working at the front counter is pretty useless.

Very poor customer service. Called ahead to make sure I can return lumber that was purchased a week ago, NOT cut lumber. I was told as long as I had the receipt and to be there during certain times it was fine. Showed up and was talking to cashier and I was yelled at by someone across the store. I walked over to where he was and told him a manager told me I could and he said he was the head honcho today and no, doesn’t matter what anyone else told me. He said it could only be returned two days after purchasing. On website and receipt it says 30 days. I could not believe how rude Fred was. I support local businesses, but I will never shop at Best again

This business is hit and miss . Not very helpful or friendly,I needed some outdoor chair leg fasteners. But no one in the store asked me if I needed any help. Ive been here before and was treated better. I will continue to shop here considering the lack of customer service.

Need to carry more then just the 30deg pitch nails for nail guns 21deg are very common and seems you have to go to HD to get them.

I use to avoid this place a few years ago. I could never find an employee, the shelves were disorganized and it always seemed to take more time to find out if what I needed was in stock than it should have. However, in the past year or so they have gotten so much better. Employees are always available, the yard is cleaner, and it seems to be theyve put a ton of effort into their paint dept. Keep it up!

I went in for an air filter and picked one up that was marked $6.99. When I got to the cashier it ran up as $16.99. I had to go back to where I got the air filter and to be told it was mis marked. I was able to find one for $6.99, though wasn’t even close to where the original size one was at. I feel all 3 grades of the same size filters should be close by each other to make decision easier. The prevention is the less expensive filters were further distance away to avoid being seen and purchased. The mis marked filter price was not honored.

Great staff. Very helpful when I comes to finding those certain parts. Instead of spending 30-45 minutes looking for it my self they lead me in the direction I need and have a good selection of parts and tools that I may need to get the job done. Plus they got a good selection of lumber and gardening stuff. This store is a man heaven. At times Im in and out with in 3 minutes but when those deals catch my eyes I cant help to spend a little extra time shopping.

I really like this place it reminds me as a Mom and Pop store. People R always so friendly. Went there the other day 5 MIN.S B 4 they closed didnt think it would take long but it took more time and they still had no problem helping me till we fixed what I was needing. These guys have great customer service. Always willing to help and even offer up ideas for completing whatever projects/tasks you might be working on. They are priced a little higher than the big orange and blue hardware stores, but local and like I said, fantastic customer service. I check these guys local first before going anywhere else.

Great Small place. Amazing LED lighting section. All Items were very competitively priced and a huge selection. Whether you need something for a job or to upgrade the ambiance of your home they carry it. LED Shop Lights, and Plug n Play t8, great ceiling fixtures, better selection of security lighting than depot, and plenty of undercabinet lighting for all budgets.

The staff is always very helpful and attentive. If you need help figuring out a problem or finding a part, the folks at best are great help!This last week I was looking for a certain rare electrical breaker...the gentleman spent at least 10 minutes looking through every single breaker they had to find out if they had one. ( He was out of that particular one, so he reordered more ) I have always had great experiences at best Lumber. You can even find all sorts of obscure items like leatherworking scraps there. Say hi to the friendly hardware store cat, tazer while you shop and enjoy the nice cool air inside the store.

Walked in for rhe first time this morning. Since my husbands passing I’ve been doing a lot more around the house. I was helped by a nice young lady, I needed string she took me to the weed eater machine string and told me how to put it in, I didn’t have any problems at all. I talked to her about my garden and my fruit trees and I told her I like to do canning and she showed me the canning supplies, I didn’t even think that they would have it but they do. She was so kind and helpful to me And so was the other lady working the till. I will come back for canning supplies.

This is my long time favorite hardware store. If Im not in a hurry I will always make the effort to come up here from Redlands as its worth it for the great service. Plus I want this place to stay in business for as long as I will need them. Carlson Hardware in Redlands was my go-to to store and I still miss them. Yucaipa Best Lumber is my place to go!

Best lumber is definitely a good ol fashioned hardware store. Knowledgeable helpful staff, great selection of real hardware, everything from ball bearings to rubber stops,metric standard, great selection of brass plumbing parts, contractor friendly and their prices are surprisingly reasonable. As a contractor and do-it-yourselfer, I highly recommend to stop in .

They dont have any customer curiosity nor di they have any knowledge about their products, store assistants are horrible, drive to home depot

Helpful and quick. My family was in and out of the store within 20 minutes for 2 c clamps and a handsaw including a cut of lumber for our raised bed.

I went to best lumber in yucaipa I had to drive from Redlands because it was closest store to have what I needed. When I checked out I told the cashier she had not given me my change. They acted as if I was lying very rude I gave them my number. Two days later Claudia called and said they have my change. When I went up there to get it I told Claudia that I had my babies with me that day and that her cashier treated me as I was lying. She told her boss in front of me and the long line she paid me the change. Claudia responded with let me get your change. There was no apology nothing very unprofessional should be educated on customer service!

This store is the last place I choose to go for any type of hardware. The store feels and looks like a hoarders garage. Stuff is just piled here and there in a random fashion. I know That I can always count on looking around, asking someone where is XXX??? Then them helping me by looking for the item too. The staff has always been less knowledgeable than anywhere else I have ever been, even about the most basic aspects of anything hardware related. The prices are a lot more expensive than the other hardware store in town. And for some reason they have a fat lazy cat that lounges around the store.

So helpful, good people, very handy, and they have just about Everything!!! My husband got there ALL THE TIME

Unfortunately theres no zero-star option. I went there looking for a light bulb socket recently and was met with extreme rudeness. The aisle the sockets are on was blocked by three very large male employees who were having a conversation. I asked about the sockets, and one of the guys said yeah theyre here, what color do you want? I replied that I really needed to see them myself, to make the proper choice, but the guy ignored me and didnt move so I could enter the aisle. Then I asked if I could come into the aisle to look at the sockets, but he and the other employees didnt move or respond. Again, I asked if I could have access to that part of the aisle so I could look at the sockets, but the guy completely ignored me and the three employees resumed their conversation, as if I wasnt even there, while continuing to totally block access to the aisle. Now, some guy from the store is going to respond with some lame phony apology. But Im finished with this place for good. I went and spent my money at Home Depot instead. And people wonder why independent hardware stores are disappearing.++++++++++++See, what did I say (see below)? Sorry, but you guys had your chance. Give up. My hardware money goes elsewhere.
