These guys are great! Very friendly and knowledgeable. I came in to have them change out a barrel and give me some insights on a shotgun I recently inherited...they changed it out for free and gave me a lot of good information. Thx William....I will be back.

Greatest experience at a gun shop. Of course I spent more then I wanted to but you get carried away when talking about guns and hunting you start shopping. They put my gun together in 10 minutes and answered all my questions. Couldn’t recommend them more as well as being the most cheap and quickest gun Smith in the Permian basin area

Made phone call after phone call to try and get a bipod added to my rifle and couldn’t even get a call back after over a week just to get a price. Never did get any help from either guy I talked to. Friend of mine used them and said their work was good but he dropped his gun off in October to get a muzzle break put on it and didn’t get it back u til March. Wouldn’t recommend if you want anything done in a short window, it’s like waiting on a taxidermist to mount a trophy or longer.

I’m not one to usually right a review, but the gentlemen at Abilene Gun Works are great. Very welcoming and great hospitality. I tried to replace my bead on my SX3 Winchester with a truglo high viz sight for those low light conditions. When I put the pilers to the bead it just crushed the either plastic or lead white bead. There was no way to remove it with out drilling it out. Figuring I’d probably end up doing more damage to the gun trying the work myself I started looking for a gunsmith since Long Acres gunsmith is no more. I just stopped at B&B pawn hoping they might be able to assist. They told me to head up the street to Abilene gun works. Upon entering the shop I was greeted and explained my situation. Knowing how a lot of gunsmith(specially the only one in town now) are usually always backed up with work I was worried they wouldn’t be able to get it fixed before my shoot that was 3 days away. They looked it over took the barrel to the press and asked if I’d like the shotgun Taken a part and throughly cleaned as well. I said sure and with in a hour or so I was out the door with a new bead sight installed and an immaculately cleaned shotgun. What took them about 50 mins to clean would haveTaken me a couple of hours and wouldn’t have been near as clean as them putting the components in what looks like a big deeper fryer for 15 mins or so. Those components came out looking brand new. Pricing was great as well, definitely worth the visit even if to Just browse the guns for sale.
