I have purchased several guns from this company and they have always been kind and informative when I’ve made a purchase. I have made purchases online and in-store and both are easy. Not sure how some of the other reviewers can have issues with GB. The site holds your hand the entire way and this company has their FFL uploaded already. I prefer this shop to any other.

Just discovered Caroline Colt a few weeks ago, I had been looking for the perfect conceal carry pistol and was torn between a Sig P365x and a S&W 9 Shield Plus, they had both in stock so I was able to make a very informed decision, ended up with the 9 Shield Plus and couldnt be happier! This is easily the best Gun shop I have ever been to. I have been going here since I was 18 and have purchased multiple firearms during that time with nothing but excellent service. They always have a a good stock of many high-quality firearms. The team combined has experience to answer most questions anyone could have from beginners to those that are looking for questions about SBRs or suppressors. I recieved a check today, 7/21, you pressured me about payment, went on gun broker and labeled me a non paying client. The check you sent appears to be short $100.00. You, took payment on a gun that you sold to someone else. This is a very shady practice as it seems as though you have done this before and too many others. I was in constant contact via email with this company, I explained my circumstances and was able to borrow money to fulfill my obligation. You proceeded to talk as though you are a victim in the guise of a honest business. Please return my full refund as requested, many many, many times. A true honest business, would have called with options for a customer, rather than sorry we went to ship your gun and it has been sold. Despicable and repugnant business practices to say the least.

I have never used Gunbroker before, and I was a bit reluctant to do so. CCC made my first go as easy as can be. Friendly staff, quick responses, VERY fair pricing, and best of all... no hassles.10/10 would recommend.

Terrible customer service, worst and most time consuming transfer process in town. - You are correct, Ive done business with you for over 10 years, yet Your employees still will not acknowledge me when I walk into the store, I stand in front of the counter for a minute just looking at one of them until I initiate a conversation. Twice they have dropped my gun when taking it out of the box, dropped it on the floor. As you know, most my purchases are antiques. This is not meant to be hateful, just honest frustration.

The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable about their products, willing to answer any question you have, and give helpful advice. Carolina Colt Company (CCC) is my FFL for guns that I buy on the internet. They always send out a letter to seller fast. They are great at letting me know when it has arrived. If you have an emergency and cant get there right away, they will hold it for you! Everyone is very knowledgeable about weapons. I have gone in asking for magazines, holsters or other excessories & they know right where to get it off the shelf or where to look up the order. I will only use CCC for my weapon needs.

Paid for a Glock .45 GAP from online sales, was told the gun was reposted and sold to another customer. Refuses to deliver gun as advertised. Reported to the BBB and regulating agencies.*************************************This situation was created by the lack of responsibility by Caroline Colt Company, LLC.The money order for the purchase of the firearm was purchased and mailed immediately following the end of the auction.Seven days later, upon receiving the returned money order in the mutilated original envelope in the mail, I called the seller and ask to speak to the owner, I was told his name was Patrick, and he was at lunch. I was directed to Courtney, reportedly responsible for internet sales. I advised her of the situation and it was suggested I resend the payment. I purchased another money order and mailed it immediately.Four days later, I called The Shootin Shop and was advised my payment was received and the firearm would be shipped upon processing the payment.A couple of days later, I received notification from GunBroker my account was reported by The Shootin Shop and suspended for lack of payment.I find it fishy that The Shootin Shop continues to skirt their responsibility using a lack of communication in their organization, claim non payment when they have to admit cashing my money order, claim they sent a check without documentation, and then resale the gun.Deliver a Glock .45 GAP as advertised!

I’ve visited every gunshop in Taylor County, some of them many times, and no one delivers more competitive prices, more outstanding customer service, or a better level of overall quality.

Would not recommend doing business with this group of people. Bought a new gun from them at a gun show. Being a gun show, no magazines were in the guns to prevent theft. Purchased the gun and returned home to get familiar with it. First aspect to strike was the magazines were restricted to 10 rounds on a full size 9mm. An annoyance, but one I could get over. Field stripping the firearm, I discovered it was pitted with rust. Had this been a used gun, that might be acceptable, but it was sold as a new gun. Returned to the gun show the following day and the owner listened to my complaints, then offered to give me the contact info of the manufacturer, not even an apology. Additionally, seeing the gross price gouging on AR platform rifles during 2013 and now hearing repeatedly from their customers and employees at Academy that The Shootin Shop purchases the ammo from Academy and then marks it up again convinces me these individuals care no more for a person than what is in their wallet. I will take my business to B&B Pawn or Abilene Indoor Gun Range.

Small business with BIG attitudes and little knowledge. I would stay away from this place. Bought a firearm from them last year and the guy who helped me had a serious attitude problem. Had a great crew cut and muscle shirt, but lacked common sense. Visited the store last week looking for a product and these kids think they know it all. Almost seems like they try and belittle the consumer with their XBox Call of Duty knowledge. I called their bluff and they started craw fishing of course. I definitely dont know everything about every gun but have been around them and used them regulary for 40 years across the globe. If I come into your store, that means Im looking for help or a product, not to be fed some BS from some kid who has an AR and thinks he just got out of BUDS training. Prices in a place like this will always be a little more because of the personal touch of service that comes with the purchase, if these idiots realize this, it would help them tremendously. Other than that, they will flat out lie to you to sale a product and are not helpful at all. Other gun shops/ranges in Abilene are years beyond this shop and want to help you. I would recommend you try one of these other shops first.

Purchased a Savage Model 10 fcp-sr from here and some scope mounts everyone was very helpful when I came in and answered all my questions. That weekend I went out to the range mounted my new scope, the mounts I purchased cracked at the base, gave them a call and they where more than happy to replace them with a new set.
