Showed up at 6:55pm to make a quick purchase with no intention of keeping anyone past 7pm. Doors were already locked and a rude cashier came to unlock the door and proceeded to give me attitude when I walked in. Absolutely terrible. I walked out because I felt so uncomfortable. I will never return. I was excited to give this place a shot since I’m new to the area. So much for that.

Wonderful selection of delicious specialties. Best bread in the world. Fabulous olives. And of course stellar taramasala and spinach and cheese pies. Also olive oil soap. Definitely worth a trip. You will return often as the food is superb.

This store is very clean and organized. I usually go to this particular one because they carry items that some of the other stores dont seem to carry.

Nice, little grocer whose focus is on imported Greek foods. Fresh produce, deli counter and some baked goods as well. Last week bought Greek feta and Kalamata olives and tried their homemade taramasalata today. Next time, skordalia! Thumbs up! Im almost hesitant to post this, but Id like to see them succeed and grow!

Firs impression soon as I walked in to the store I see a worker without mask🤬, than smell in the store was terrible seems like something was rotten 😱, I thought ok let see maybe food it’s good, I was wrong I bought a octopus salad omg it was so bad I am sure it was sitting there for days, I hope no one got sick, any how I went to get some cheese pies and they had few left it was ok not best, than the employee Serbian lady so rude she literally yelled at me 🙄 jeez, any how this was my 1st and last time! And way overpriced!

Thats place good for me. I can finds food from my cantry.People working there are very kinds.Place is near by my house.

You dont have to speak the language, just enjoy the ethnic food choices. I promise if you talk to the employees you will find cullinary delight.

I have gone to this store when making special Greek dinners. To say on this visit I was disappointed is a understatement. The man behind the counter was so nasty and crabby. I was going to engage in some conversation with him, regarding cheese, olives and wine.He didnt want to be bothered. I will find another store to buy my 70bucks worth of cheese next time. Had my yia yia been alive should would of leveled him in her Greek language. A big zero for this place. BTW, it smelled bad.

Really bad experience. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone he wears the same gloves and cashing out people and then touching raw meat to sell to another. Not really Greek I would say. Do not go there.

Having shopped several time at this store, the biggest problem is the owner, he is rude and will bait and switch you. An example, if you go to the deli and ask for domestic feta cheese at 3.99 per pound, he will grab the imported feta at two dollars more and by the time you hit the register, you will not realize you got baited and switched! I caught the owner doing this and stopped him, he had a sour look on his face. The problem is this, there are few stores specializing in Greek food, so for unless you like being abused while you shop, go to Spartan Brothers on Touhy, a great, nice owner and you are smiled at not frowned at like at Minos. The owner always has a sour expression and is unwilling to help! His kids who I seem to think work their too should retire dad because he is driving business away! I am a Greek and do not like criticizing fellow Greeks, but the owner is bad!

Was in there today 1/31/18. guy working there (dark reddish greasy hair with glasses) was wearing disposable gloves but back from taking out trash from back. gloves looked dirty and i asked him for 3 lbs of cheese. he started washing his hands wearing the old 5 cents disposable gloves. i asked him to please change the gloves and he said in greek “ i have to deal with this prick (pouste) this early in the morning” he didn’t know i was greek but i said forget it. the health dept needs to visit this place. i will never go back. i called a few min later asking for the owner and the same guy said he’s gone for 10 days i’m running the place. i’ll never go back they lost a customer for a 5 cent pair of gloves and i just wanted sanitary cheese that was not contaminated with garbage hands and he called me a vulgar greek word for absolutely nothing. i’ve dealt with him a few times but tired of asking him to either wash his hands or wear gloves. I’m not asking him anymore. if this was an american place he would no longer be working there !!!

I used to love this place until earlier today. I bought Bulgarian Youghurt expired 1month ago, called to let them know and they didnt even apologize. Very dissapointed.Not going back there. Sorry

Prices are OK. There are plenty of things from YU. Now, I dont know if that lamb mentioned by many is actually roasting or what, but the kabobs are hated (beef & lamb I took was) NO RELAX WITH THE BRAIN! They were not rotten, but it was spicy and spicy to the point that it could not be eaten at all. I havent tried it in my life up there. Every bus stop in the Balkans has better meat than this one. Watch out when kids 6 and 4 noticed something was wrong and didnt want their favorite food to taste.I warned you.
