Nice place to get appliances. They even have a scratch and dent section where you can get brand new at slightly lower prices. Might have a little blemish, but a nice discount if you can live with that. Bought a brand new box freezer and got an amazing deal. I paid well under what it would have been anywhere else. I didn’t homework first, and by purchasing from them I saved over 128.00

The salesman/ owner? Was friendly and helpful. Not pushy in any way and as it turned out he had a new set of washer and dryer on the floor that I picked up. I have several rentals and will come here again.

SCAM ALERT!!!!! We had requested service for a washing machine and they had us prepay $65. They didnt show up and when we called they said they couldnt find our house. Mind you, we live 1/2 mile from them with a well marked address on a busy street and noone has ever had an issue finding our house. We asked to cancel the service call since they could not find the house and for a refund. They said they dont do refunds, hung up on us and will not answer the phone when we call now.

Purchased one and picked up one for someone else. Store is stocked with lots of appliances but pricing is a little high. And dont call a competitor just bashing you. Im not. I had given you a 4 start but dropped it to a 2 because you are rude. Im usually pretty easy to get along with and give better than average railings. And clean your store...

I purchased the wrong unit and they were willing to work with me on getting me the correct ones that would fit my place and even took my other unit fixed it so that I could have both my washer and dryer place is not bad Id recommend them over again

My tenant in Abq. needed a stove. I am in CA. I called and purchased a self-cleaning stove over the phone for my tenant. When it was delivered my tenant sent me a photo of the dirty oven, but it was too late to refuse because my tenant accepted it. I called Joe to complain and he said to call again next week. The next day gas had built up in the kitchen. I had to call my handyman to disconnect the stove and I had to purchase another. I called again for a refund and to take away the dirty broken stove. Joe refuses to pick it up and give me a refund. He also hung up on me and I was very civil on the phone. No reason to hang up on me. I have disputed the purchase with my bank. I will be suing for fraud.Update: I gave them several days to pick up the stove that nearly killed my tenant from the gas leak from the stove. They refused. I took the stuff back to them and ask for a refund and although they told me if I brought it back they would refund my money once I got the stove there they refused to refund my money. They also have still not given me a receipt. I have tried calling a few times they hang up on me or let the call go to voicemail if they know it’s me. They refused to talk to my tenant who returned the stove for me and just walked away in to the back. Even though they told me they would refund all of my money if I returned it once there they refused. There is a sign down low on the counter that says no refunds even though they give a six month warranty and a guarantee and they told me they would give a refund. Because I bought the stove off the Internet from them there was no way I could’ve seen the stove and if there was no refunds they should’ve given me a receipt stating that there was no refunds on that receipt. They also should’ve not told me to return the stove for the refund and they should not be guaranteeing anything. If my tenant had not awakened and smelled of the gas and known what it was he and his two boys could be dead today. Do not do business with them.

I bought a refrigerator here ober 400 dlls and turns out it didnt work when i called the owner im assuming said to take it back...he called later the next day said nothing was wrong..we told him we didnt want to take it back till he fixed it...a week later he said to go back that he had changed the thermostat well when i went it was about 4:50pm he was super rude and almost told me and my son to hurry up and wait outside for our fridge because his store was closing.....its been about a week or 2 and my fridge still not working i wish i could upload pics. I purchased a used refrigerator in Sept and it stopped working in Dec. They provided a 6 month warranty. I called for service and they said I had to bring the refrigerator into their store or pay $95 (minimum). I understand if this were outside their warranty, but within 90 days they should come to the property.

Landlord uses these guys to supply appliances at our house... I can’t warn anyone enough to avoid this place like the plague. From the day we moved in with recently “serviced” appliances, our stove was always off 100 degrees, our fridge leaked and soaked good groceries. Landlord got them replaced by this business with “serviced” fridge and range, we waited a few days then bought $400 worth of groceries that went bad when both fridge and freezer stopped working a few days later. Also, the “serviced” fridge was missing its drawers and the shelves to put condiments were broken. What a joke and a nightmare.

Got a loaner and had my fridge delivered back today after repairs were made. It came back dented, I called and let the owner know my concern and gave him the opportunity to make it right. Instead the pos had the audacity to say it was brought to him that way. We’ve done business many times with this store. Have we returned more than one appliance because it broke down shortly after purchase and needed repairs? Yes! Shame on me this time. I thought integrity and supporting small businesses were of equal importance.

Got a washer and dryer within 2 days the dryer broke down. 6 month warranty apparently means nothing. And theres no refunds even though I asked before I made the purchase and they said of course if it doesnt work.

Had a fridge delivered to me. It stopped working only a week after. I had to pay $65 for them to come out and fix it under warranty! I did not like that at all. They said if it was their fault the money will be given back. It broke because I over filled the Ice box with food. they said the vents were blocked. They did replace it with another refrigerator. And I am out $100 for trying to get sears to come check the appliance. I am an elderly woman on a fixed income. I will be back

I called to get a dryer. Joe answered and said sure we have alot. I told him it had to be $100 or less he said he had plenty. I live in belen and srpve their. When i got their joe said all he had was 189 and up. These people lie to you. The store was discussing. Whatever you do dont buy from these people.

Only nice thing I can say about this is the delivery guys were nice. James was a nice guy to start with. But forgot to deliver like he said he would twice. Joe is the rudest. Hung up on me twice. They couldnt get their delivery times and dates correct. I had to take off twice from work because of their screw up of dates. Then a part was missing from my dryer. Four times they said they would deliver it to me. They never did. They wanted me to take time out from my job to go pick it up. Again because of their screw up and didnt have it with them on the first initial delivery. It was worth my time and money to get it from somewhere else. I have let the other companys know not to refer them to anyone and they agreed that what they did was uncalled for.

My company purchased a washer and dryer from Central Appliance. We paid close to $500 for a washer and dryer that was listed for $325. We were excited because they were prompt to install them that day. Thats when the problems with this company began. They were able to hook up our washer, but didnt bring a large enough hose to hook up our dryer. They told us that we would have to pay for a larger hose. We agreed and they stated that they would bring it to us the next day. The next day, we used the washer for the first time and it flooded the drum and leaked out the back all over the floor. We promptly called them and asked them if they would come out as quickly as possible. We explained that we had over 300 people waiting for what these washer and dryers would produce. We went back and forth having to call the manager and the owner only to be told that we would have to not only wait until tomorrow and then later next week, but that we would have to pay another $65 for them to come out. They promised that they would see what they could do and call us back as soon as possible. As time passed we heard nothing. We repeatedly tried to call them back over and over. No answer. Finally, we called a personal maintenance man to come out and take a look. He had it fixed and running within 15 minutes. The problem? The man who installed it from Central Appliance did it incorrectly.We will never use Central Appliance again and we will not recommend them to anyone within our profession again. Also, we will tell anyone and everyone within our profession not to use Central Appliance. EXTREMELY Dissatisfied.

Bought a fridge from Central Appliance. Had it delivered and once I plugged it in, it didnt work. Initially, I had a hard time getting ahold of anybody who could help, but once the owner, Joe, was on the case, everything went smoothly the very next day. The new refrigerator has one broken component, which is why Im giving a four star review, but if that gets corrected in a timely manner, five stars all the way!

I have spent so much of my hard earned money at this place. Even given them old appliances for repair/resale and the one time I ask for a break they wanna charge me 250$ for and ignitor repair on a stove that is already pulled apart. At my house that is literally 2 min down the street. So freaking ridiculous. They have lost my business for good. Do not call this place for in home repair service. Very greedy. I could by a stove almost new for the price quoted. Plus the gent over the phone was rude as all hell. Felt like telling him I’m the reason he has gotten a check over the slow months! I took my dryer in on a Saturday they let me know it was done in an hr took it home and it did not work, called them to take it back they were closed so we took it in on Monday morning and the guy working the counter started yelling saying we took screws off the dryer then another guy came out with a Gun trying to intimidate there Custer who just paid them 150 to fix a dryer that is still not working! Not a very good experience! We will not be back also lost out on 150 cause my dryer is still not heating !

I would strongly suggest you do business anywhere else if you need a working appliance from a reputable company.My story: Purchased a washer and dryer on Saturday, paid for delivery, received Monday. Today is Wednesday. The washer seems to work well but the dryer is not working--I suspect a definite problem with the thermal fuse and a possible timer issue. I called for repair Wednesday and I was told that this company would not send out a repair person. I live literally around the corner, a 5 minute drive away. They told me they would schedule a pick up for an additional $65 even though I believe that this appliance was absolutely delivered broken.Edit: I went to the store and talked to Joe Castillo, the owner, about this issue. I found him to be incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely unwilling to acknowledge that his company made any mistake at all. He eventually agreed to send a repair person to my house to look at the appliance. The repair person confirmed the dryer was broken. Joe then called me to say I was required to deliver the appliance myself to have it repaired.I told Joe the remedy I desire is a full refund including pickup of the defective equipment. The store flat out refuses to issue a refund, even for defective equipment sold not even 48 hours ago. Would you trust anything they claimed to repair?

My family has been doing business for 3 generations and have all bought appliances from here. If there is an issue with the appliance they ALWAYS FIX. They dont abandon you!! They always have a great selection to choose from, and the big guy Joe(could tell hes a grandpa) has always given us a deal! Some places are cheaper, some places sell the same stuff, but its the quality in the stuff he sells. It lasts a long time no issues. 25 years

First off if I could rate this company a zero star I would. I purchased a washing machine from them was told about 90 day warranty and the lifetime warranty. I picked up the washing machine and took it home hooked it and the very first load all I heard was screeching and grinding. I was able to hear that noise all the way from the back of my home. Less then 48 hours later I returned to the store to request a refund on the grounds that they sold me a faulty washing machine. I was told that they do not refund any purchase that is made. I was told to load the washer into my own personal vehicle and return it for repairs. Consumer please be aware of the low standards and what I would refer to as criminal was of this company. They sell you broken products that you will have to return for repair. And in some cases try to charge you to do it. This company obviously does not know what they are doing. They are obviously not professional about there products. All this company cares about is your hard earned money! I would strongly suggest to anyone that is considering purchasing from this company NOT to so! You will basically get robbed!

4/30/2018Bought a newer Kenmore front load washing machine on January 20th for 1/4 of the original price and its still going strong. Its a great machine. Delivery guy was really professional and took the care to double check the connections and to observe a quick cycle to make sure it was working properly. This is the nicest washing machine Ive ever owned. It runs quiet and smooth like a brand new machine. Ill be buying a stove from this place next with no hesitation. The warranties are great considering these are used machines. They dont have to offer anything on used products. I was worried after reading some of the reviews on here, but a family member had purchased a couple of appliances from Central and they are all still working great. Looks like another case of complainers online. Their policies are stated and reiterated at the time of purchase. Seemed fair to me. If you want something perfect with replacement warranties and on site service just buy new.10/24/2018 Washing machine still works great. Have had zero issues so far.3/12/2019 Washing machine still works great. Havent had to do anything other than regular maintenance. (cleaning out the drain tube/basket.) Works so good I bought a stove from them a month ago which also works great.

Hot garbage, that’s all they sell. If you have questions they talk to you like you’re an idiot and there selection is at best garage sale quality that won’t work. Plus they only take cash unless you spend $100 or more. Then they top it off with a no return policy. It’s a waste of time and money.

Then the next install, the service man FORCED us to drive to the bank for cash to hock over another $45 because they didnt have hoses. Then - heres the kicker: the washer DOES NOT WORK. Central Appliance gets the highest possible marks from me! They helped me resolve a pressing problem in a really creative way. I had tried everywhere and nobody else would take the extra step to find a workable solution, but the guys at Central Appliance did, and the result was excellent. I would recommend them.

Looking to sell a Kenmoore 400s washer/dryer set. The employee I spoke with told us over the phone that if the units are matching, less than 5 years old, in good shape and they work the store pays out $100 a unit. I drive all the way down here from Rio Rancho after calling and making sure they can buy them today but upon arrival the guy tells me they cant buy them since his boss isnt here and the most he can offer me is $40 for the pair. Very disappointing experience, complete waste of time and gas. Do NOT do business with these people, they will lie to you over the phone to get you down there just so they can flip the script and rip you off.

My wife and I are working on a rental property and ran into a unique situation with odd appliance sizes. We fouund exactly what we needed and received top notch customer service from Joe and Amanda at Central Appliance.

Oh my God! I purchased the refrigerator from them, they loaded it on my truck and when I got home it didnt work. I called them and they told me that they would neither come and fix it nor have it be picked up, nor did they even apologize. In contrast, they told me that I probably broke it during transport. When I protested the guy hung up on me. I had paid two guys to get the fridge off my truck and put it into my house. Now I would have to hire the guys again, twice, to get the fridge on the truck and then to get it off again after it had been repaired by them in their shop. Nice! Absolute scoundrels. How they can stay in business I am not sure. Don’t be tempted to shop there. It just doesn’t pay.

I think that a lot of the customer base will rate them 1 star in an attempt to get something for free and I would also bet money that a lot of the 1 star reviewers will still buy appliances from them cause theyre the cheepest in town... May not be the best customer service but when your customers are aholes you might have a hard time giving service with a smile... I wish that people would be kinder to our small business owners.

Worst service and questionable business practice. They prey upon the customer and do not stand behind their warranty. I am the first to recognize great service and understand misunderstandings, but it takes a lot for me to register and voice my concern on a website. I first learned of this place because my parents bought a washing machine for a housewarming gift from here. 3 years later its still going strong. Naturally I ignored the bad reviews and came in when my dishwasher went out. I’ll share with you my experience, and let you decide for yourself.On friday we buy the ge dishwasher, its on the top shelf and I dont look inside. We load it quickly and its in my truck before my wife finishes paying. I go to install it saturday morning. To my dismay there is quite a mess inside, debris, screws, washers, and a ton of scale mixed with the previous owners schmutz. I clean the filter basket, vacuum the machine dilligently and begin the install. One complete, I use a descaling agent and run it, only it simply fills, heats up for a while, and drains. Never does it spin the bar. I wait until monday to be able to call for service as they are closed all weekend long.Monday rolls around and I call to find out my options, which are to pay 60$ for a tech, or to uninstall it and bring it back. Which I do. I drop the machine off at 11:30, and by 15:00 I’m called to come get it, the motor had been unplugged. I’m asked if I unplugged it, no I did not, it must have been overlooked on the install, just like a quick vacuum and test run seemed to have been. It comes with a warranty, which was honored, and I recieved same day service. For that I cannot complain. The 4 stars instead of 5 are for the conditions of the inside of the machine, the fact it was not ready to install, and the disgusting layers caked into the filter. The machine works, the price was fair, and the repair was free. Though I own a truck and this was possible for me, for someone less fortunate this situation would have been a 120$ nightmare to arrange in transportation of the equipment.Tuesday I lower the review to 2 stars, I had to spend an hour cleaning the top spin bar out, removing debis from the previous owner such as a piece of a mustard packet, pieces of a broken plastic fork, and some cabbage.. yes cabbage. These guys didnt even attempt to clean the machine out for resale, which would only prompt it having to be brought back again.. the quality of work is bad, and the deal isnt so great. They were the only ones in town with any used dishwashers, I wish there had been another option. I did not have a great experience, I dont feel good about the equipment I was sold, and I will not be coming by here for a dryer.

I bought a stove here and was told about the lifetime warranty as well as the fact that the stove was in perfect condition. When we got home turned it on, we realized three of the burners were not working, when I called the manager he was very rude, made it seem like it was my fault! someone did show up to work on it at no cost because I made it clear that I would not be paying anything for something he said was in perfect working condition, his employees told us that the manger knew he sold faulty appliances, amongst many other things, hes a jerk who doesnt pay his employees to go to anyones home & work on the crap he sells! By the way there are no refunds! I am currently saving to buy a brand new stove & save me the trouble of dealing with this kind of person. This place is a rip off!! I brought in a front loading washer and a dryer for recycling they only wanted to give me $25 for the washer!! I got an offer from a person for $90 for it, why would I give it away for $25??! They were already getting ready to sell it for $150 in the store! I purchased a stove, washer, dryer and a refrigerator from Central appliance. 6 years later I have not had any issues with the washer, dryer and stove. Last week I pulled out my refrigerator to paint, and I guess I messed up the water line and water was leaking out of the bottom of the refrigerator. I went into the store set up a service call and they came and fixed my fridge same day. Central Appliance has the lifetime labor warranty so I was only charged for the part that refrigerator needed. All in all, I would definitely recommend this company. They have great products and great customer service. I will be going back to Central Appliance if these machines every break down on me.

Dont do business with them. My landlord had a washer and dryer installed in my apartment where I had just moved into. When we werent paying attention they stole our tool set and they they denied it even though they were in camera. One of the employees who came to do the installation talked to me over the phone and said he was the owner and that they didnt steal our toolset. They are horrible!!!

I called to get it fixed and its in-shop repairs only which means i have to find a truck load the washer drop it off and pick it back up 😑Or they generously offer to pick it up for a fee of 45$The reveiws are correct they sell broken appliances!!!We wouldve been better off trusting someone on Craigslist....

Finally bought a new dryer somewhere else where honest employees work. Cant find honest employees at Cental Appliance.

Send complaints to the BBB! ! ! They stole my refrigerator from me... Dont do business here regardless and send all complaints to ABQ Better Business Bureau.

Got washer and dryer, they sale wrong hose blame us than made us pay for another delivery charge to bring right hose as they knew we were disabled, now a week and about 2 days the dryer dont heat and the timer doesnt work! Cant wait to see how they rip us off some more!

I paid this company close to $200 in repair. They broke somthing else and dident fix it. Shady company.

They advertise payment options.When I walked in I asked about it.The man there was very rude.Said cash only.Then showed me a junky dryer.

Sent an email over a week ago. Still no response. Reading other reviews, this company has lackluster customer service and it shows. Never will buy here again and spread the info to my friends/family.
