We first found MotorWerks when James and Brittany had only been open a couple of months, over on Juan Tabo. Back then, James was able to quickly fix an issue that another German car repair specialist screwed up not once, but twice.My sons supped up Mini got sick and once again James and Brittany (she is not just a pretty face, she knows her stuff) were able to fix the green monster quickly. Tough to service 2001 Eurovan broke down on a Sunday on I25 . Towed to this shop Monday a.m. Spot on diagnosis, ordered 1 part in CA, replaced 3 important parts (belt, etc) and out the door by 3pm Tuesday! Front ofc - Brittany - was superb. Worth 6 stars really.

Britney and James are some of the most friendly people I have ever met! I am driving cross country from California to Washington DC and ended up busting my passenger axle in my 2006 BMW 325xi. I called them the evening before to see if they could help. They were so understanding and helpful got us in the next morning. James inspected the car and reccomend I replace the driver side as well as it was on its way out too which they were also able to accommodate really fast! They got me back on the road in no time! 100 percent reccomend to anyone looking for an honest family owned shop!

They do good work and will explain things to you. They do not do unnecessary work and you know what you are being charged for. I trust them to do the right thing for my car. Wont take my VW anywhere else.

The Motor Werks staff couldn’t have been any nicer and more helpful. We were driving across country and limped into Albuquerque. We pulled into Motor Werks about 4pm and they quickly diagnosed the problem to be the alternator. Knowing they closed at 5pm, they offered to store our trailer in their garage. Turned out they could get the part immediately and worked past closing hours to get us back on the road. We are so grateful and lucky to have met such a nice and understanding staff. We came in to the shop after having issues with our bmw 325xi. They were really nice and friendly, provided us with cost effective options for our issue, and overall did great quality work.

Where to start... Professional, Friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, experienced. I called James on a Friday afternoon, driving through ABQ on my way to California. My VW Touareg was having a minor meltdown mid roadtrip with an Airstream in tow. James opened the shop for me on Saturday morning and spent hours evaluating every component of the evap system from nose to tail. While he couldn’t fix the problem because we couldn’t get the part, we figured a workaround and were able to continue our roadtrip. Most importantly he refused to charge me because he hadn’t fixed the problem. I paid him anyway. his diagnostic skills were exceptional. I wish ABQ was closer to my home and I would use James for all my mechanic needs. Go see James you won’t regret it

James was awesome! My son and I were on our way to Oklahoma and our truck was acting up and we didn’t know what was going on. We found Motor Werks, pulled in (no appointment) and he dropped everything and diagnosed our problem, fixed it in no time and we were back on the road. That night we received a personal phone call checking on us and the truck, and everything was working great! I guarantee if we had continued to have a problem he would have met us where ever we were to help! That kind of customer service just isn’t found these days. Thank you, James! I was trying to drop off my well kept 2002 Xterra for an AC repair this morning. I got there at the guys posted opening time and he was a no show. After about 15 minutes wait, I started to talk with the a guy next door who runs Motor Werks. He says he does AC service so I gave him a try.When I pick it up soon after he describes two leaks he found. I had told him I had to get it fixed every spring but had not mentioned what I had done in terms of where the leak was each time. He lists off the two parts the last guy had changed for me over the past 3 years! Both were defective, potentially improperly installed.I just shook my head.When I drove off, I checked the AC, it was colder than it has ever been in the 13 years I’ve owned the truck.Well done James, You rock!
