The staff was friendly and quickly point d me in the direction that I needed. In case anyone needs to know, they do sell pepper spray and stun guns here. The associate shared knowledge of the merchandise so I could make the best decision. The layout is nice and easy to navigate. They even have some really nice insulated gloves for $20 which is great with the winter season creeping up on us.

I love Big5 they usually have great deals, promotions and prices😀 We are able to get all the shoes the kids could use for sports to casual.

I just had one of the best experiences with a Sporting Goods store ever. Everyone was super friendly. They answered every single question we had even to the point of going to the back and double checking on stuff. We had purchased some very large items and they even loaded everything right into our Truck. This location has already been a decent location in my mind over the years so I drove across town Just to visit this one. But the level of Customer Service I received yesterday was Extraordinary! !

I was in the store shopping with my children when my five-year-old said he needed to go to the restroom. I went to the front to ask for the restrooms were I was told that they were closed to all customers. Now I can understand for an adult that being a smart policy, but for a five-year-old it’s absolutely ridiculous. when they say they have to go you have minutes if you’re lucky. Pure common sense tells you that this is not a good policy to have for children.When I called to get the number to the general manager the associate who answered the phone was extremely rude and didn’t even bother to say hello when he picked up.My kids are in the largest soccer club in the state, and I just wanted to make the soccer and kids sports community aware of this moronic policy and how Big 5 treats children in their stores.I will never shop at big five sporting goods again.

If you sell firearms you should carry holsters. Im done doing business with these clowns.

Big 5 has all the sporting shoes, sandals, athletic clothes, etc at these stores but this location was outta stock. We were in search of some mens sandals but they happen to be out of stock in size 11 so we got a store rep and asked about the Juan tabo store, he got his scanner and made a phone call to the store where they did stock a mens size 11 in that particular shoe and they pulled one off the rack and put it up front for us. How cool is that, customer service is back thats the way it should work. Thanks again big 5 for all your help.

The people are super unhelpful. The store is poorly laid out. The stock is so unhelpful. And so much of it is overpriced. Its like they think they are Niemann Marcus or something. I was able to find something I needed after my return but daaaaang, a little help woulda been nice. Next time, Dickson is my better bet, because BOTH Big 5s were bad.

I was able to find women size steel toe boots for work here at Big 5. I was pretty amazed with the quality shoes and the amazing helpful staff that help look for the correct size, overall Im super excited and happy with this new pair for work, Thank you BIG 5!

Was a really good store and good clearance selections that people will buy instead of saying, Yeah thats why they are on clearance in the first place.

Good parking. Friendly staff. An escalater for the second floor. Nice sales on quality items. I got 3 very good lanterns. My coonhound likes Big 5. Hes a very well behaved dog. We did the stairs.

The store is two stories with a wide variety of sporting gear, they also carry camping gear and when we went they had an area of clothes/shoes that were on clearance and sale and it worked out perfectly for us. My partner found 2 pairs of shoes, one casual and boots for work. 🤩

Shopping for a couple items for my daughters sports equipment and apparel. Dad not knowing young womens wear etc asked first clerk who was NO help just a finger point. Second looked my way and ran off to The back finally the third one had me equipped and checked out in just a few minutes. Thanks

I just went in to get shoes. The only drawback was that they didnt have any seats for you to sit and try on the shoes.

I placed an online pick up order. They had issues pulling up the order but live out of town and showed up. I called and they tried getting my order but were unsuccessful. The manager came and brought my product to my car because I had my babies. I had to pay again but the first order was canceled quickly. She took my card and paid with it inside so I didnt have to bring the babies inside. Excellent customer service. Wish I knew her name.

Went in to find some comfy shoes for my new job as seasonal UPS driver helper. Found a pair of Goodyear (yes, like the tires. Who knew?) for a great price. The employee that helped me with sizing found my size quickly and courteously. Checkout was also quick. Good selection and great prices!

I have shopped Big 5 for 10+ years. Today was very disappointing. There was an advertised sale on shorts but when I inquired, the manager was rude. No reason for that and I doubt I will ever return.

Wife and I went to buy new sneakers. Found what was needed and had great check out experience with Brian the cashier. Will go back again.

The employees seem to lock visual surveillance on people of color (blacks, natives, and mexicans ) and seen no greetings. I have had an unpleasant experience with it myself. I ride my bike all over the city and was wanting to purchase some riding gear. I got a couple of items and was undecided on another. I was just watched like a hawk and nobody came and asked if I needed assistant. So, I just went to the counter and put the items down and walked out. Only then was I approached and asked if anything was the matter. I said, yes, and told the individual that alot was the matter. I unlocked my bike and left. Its been 2 1/2 years since I been there. Never have anything you want in stock... PLUS, today, we went there to look for a camping stock pot. Of course, they didnt have it. But what got me the MOST was I asked where the bathrooms were. They said they were closed to the public, due to Covid. (Gonna give the management a little free medical advice. Covid doesnt come out of that end. AND, if youd use peroxide in your cleaners, like all of the OTHER stores with restrooms, you wouldnt have to keep yours closed ... )

Called to see if the had a product in stock called when i left the coors location they transfered me to camping drove to san mateo location walked around the store while i was still on hold for camping to pick up and there were minimal customers. After walking around upstaires someone picked up to see if i was still on hold

I dont have any complaints about this store. There is a wide variety of all sporting needs. However, they not know have any climbing gear like harnesses or ropes.

They always have what Im looking for with reasonable prices. This is my go to store for so many activities.

Even though this is their busiest location, they do a good job of keeping products stocked. The employees are always very friendly and eager to help. They also do a good job of keeping the store clean, which is nice because its a big 2 story building. That big size also keeps it from feeling cluttered so you can find what youre looking for easily. I definitely recommend this location!

Quiet and found everything I needed

Drove 3 hours to pick up a paddle board to find out once we got back home it was an open box! Someone had previously used it and the paddle board including the attachments were filthy! The pump was BROKEN and not one person mentioned that it had been previously used nor an open box. The gentleman who sold it also rang it up for the wrong price and NOW I cant return the paddle board! What a waste of money, time, and energy. We basically bought a used piece of junk!
