I bought my Mini S in 2010 with 4 miles from Sandia. I sold it last month with 112,000 wonderfully enjoyable miles. Unfortunately I wasnt able to find the Mini I wanted and the Subaru Crosstrek with a 6sp manual became available. As you can see by the photo Sandia Albuquerque is still with my thoughts of a great dealership.

This was by far the best vehicle purchase experience i have ever had. I worked with Rudy Lopez, but everyone in the department came by to talk and offer assistance in anyway. They have an amazing team and made us feel like family. Not sure if I can purchase a car from a different dealer after this experience.

We bought our 2020 Mini Clubman in November of 2019; the buying experience with Lee Grossman was one of the best we’ve ever had. Lee was professional and great fun to work with. He gave us all the information we needed to decide which mini we wanted and guided us through the process of placing our order for just what we wanted....the wait for arrival was excruciating and Lee kept us informed of the progress every step of the way. I purchased a used mini to travel as a healthcare worker. Needing a repair, I scheduled an appointment. The poor customer service and communication I received left me regretting the purchase of this car. I expect better. The only positive was the tech who fixed the issue and treated me as a valued customer.

Excellent service. I took my mini in with a dead battery yesterday. They paid for my Uber home, replaced the battery, changed the oil, noticed there was premature fading on my front bumper and went ahead and replaced it free of charge. I own a business and know what it’s like to go the extra mile for customers, these guys get it. Kudos to your whole team!!
My first Mini! I had gotten in some car issues and wanted to get out of my current vehicle. My partner and I went to mini, just to look and see what my options would be. When we got there we walked the lot for a few minutes and were approached by Frankie one of the sales women there. As I have bought new vehicles in the past I was very hesitant to even talk to a sales person and did not want to be hounded. I mentioned to frankie that we were just looking and thats all! She just said Okay, Ill let you all look around and come back out in a while and see if you need anything or just have questions. Frankie did not hover over us and when she did come back we found a few that we were interested in driving. She was so knowledgeable about mini and the dealership itself. She was a great sales women, a couple of weeks went by and she helped me find MY perfect mini! The paperwork and negotiations took less than 3 hours! Cross shopping with BMW and MINI (they’re related and some models share components); Cathy and Frankie had immediate answers to every question I had. Frankie is very thorough and professional when she explains features and how they work. We took a few cars on test drives and Frankie did not overwhelm me with information about the vehicle. She simply stated how to start the vehicle, adjust seats and mirrors, and how to shift gears (BMW’s fancy electronic shifter). That’s it. It was so nice to get in and drive and to not be bombarded with information. As we continued the drive, she gradually mentioned what it could do. Also, she is very knowledgeable about her inventory; she knew and explained only the features the particular vehicle was equipped with. A big thumbs-up to Cathy and Frankie for their excellent work!

My wife and I stopped by on a Saturday without an appointment and were greeted by Lee who quickly answered our questions and encouraged us to look at various models to narrow down our choice. We then proceeded to test drive several cars to see what options we were interested in and which car worked best for us. Lee was very informative and patient as he spent a couple hours with us. It turned out Sandia Mini didnt have the model we wanted and Lee was persistent in finding a car for us that was the perfect match! Within a few days our new car was shipped to the dealer and ready for pickup on rge following Saturday.They made the whole buying experience fun and we highly recommend working with Lee!

The salespeople were helpful, knowledgeable, and didnt pressure me at all. I was able to test drive several models to help me decide what spec I would like. I had expected to custom order a vehicle, but they were motivated to sell one off the lot, so I was able to get a good deal on a Countryman that had everything I wanted.This is my second MINI, and was sold pretty easily on getting another, especially given the huge strides MINI has made in the quality and reliability of their line up in the last few years.
Buying a new MINI at Sandia was an excellent experience. As a single woman buying a car, I am wary of approaching dealerships. I can highly recommend this dealership, mainly because of the professional attitude of my salesman, Darryl Johnson. I ordered a custom MINI, and he was good at keeping me informed of the progress of the build and delivery. He was never pushy and always polite, efficient and easy going---always willing to help with anything I asked. I will return to this dealership!Im editing my review because, even months after buying my car, I called Cathy, the general manager, to find some paperwork I had lost. Such a pleasant surprise to find that she was eager to help me, and she efficiently took care of my request. Often once the car is sold, dealerships are a little more reticent to help out, but this was not my experience with Sandia MINI. I not only love my car more each day, but feel that if I have a problem, I can turn to the dealership and depend on their help!
Jeff Apodaca was an amazing salesman. He greeted me promptly as I entered the Mini showroom to test drive a car with a smile and a handshake. He was very knowledgeable about the car I was inquiring about and pleasant to work with. He wasnt pushy at all and answered all of my questions happily. He made this sale as easy as possible. When I went back to purchase the vehicle, he was waiting and had everything ready to go for me. Hey WILL rip you off badly on price of parts, I’m hav To buy a new ambient air temp sensor because the wannabe “mechanic” they have ripped mine off and straight up told me it had been ripped off, then proceeded to get arrogant with me, they want $93 dollars for the sensor, I got it for $18 online!!! Todd is actually a nice guy, but because there is only 1 Mini Cooper dealership in Albuquerque,they are price gougingBeware my friends!!! Service was however quite fast

If you are in the market for a Mini and in the ABQ, NM area I would have to recommend you go see Frankie Irwin at Sandia Mini. I have been looking at Mini’s for a little while but I had not had the opportunity to drive one especially the Clubman and a Countryman back to back until the other day when I stopped by Sandia Mini, which is where I met Frankie. I explained to her what I was interested in and then asked her to educate me between the two cars and their differences. She was more than happy to do so and was/is very knowledgeable of the Minis. After the showroom floor education (and allowing me to climb in and around the cars like a little kid) we went for a test drive; first in the Countryman S and then the Clubman S so I was able to get a feel for each and make an educated decision about which car would be a better fit for me and my needs. Unfortunately they didn’t have exactly what I was looking for but fortunately I happened to find one online near where I live (Alabama). It had everything I was looking for and then some and was even in my price range. I reached back out to Frankie to see what her thoughts on the car were and she took the time to look up the vehicle on the same site I was on and then asked why I was calling her and not them to jump on it. So I did and I am proud to say once I get back to Alabama this weekend I will be a new member of the Mini family. Thank you very much Frankie and had you guys had something comparable I would have been driving back to Bama instead of flying. Get this, Frankie isn’t only a Mini Client Advisor but a member of the Mini family. So she knows a lot about the cars and their performance first hand.

As far as service is concerned the team goes beyond to assure the customer is taken care of as well as us towers. The parking lot is not to tow truck friendly but when the staff is willing to lend a helping hand the parking lot seems to get bigger.

The environment is quite comfortable for a car dealership, and surprisingly low pressure. All the boys are pretty welcoming. I worked specifically with Daniel Gil, whos easy going attitude and personality made buying a car less stressful then I ever expected it could have been. This is the 2nd mini Ive purchased, but the first from the dealership, and it probably wont be the last.

Many years ago I drove in here dressed very casual and worn out clothes. I drove my ancient rust bucket car just to test the sales guys attitude. To my surprise I was treated with respect like every customer should be. We were buying a new mini for my wife and despite she was not present with me they were able to get all documents ready for her. When she was able to come 15 minutes before closing we completed the purchase right away. Since then we serviced our car there and bought another Mini from them. After many years Id say there is only one thing they can improve is the call back times for service department. They could use one more service advisor.

Horrible service department. Writing to the corporation about how they treat people. The manager could care less how this place is run. She is so dismissive about your complaint and perpetrates this type of experience by not checking on what her guys are doing in service. Mini’s are fun. This service department isn’t. Take your Mini somewhere else.
I love my new 2014 MINI Countryman!Thanks to the guys at Sandia MINI I found just the right MINI for me at just the right price. The shopping experience at Sandia MINI is A LOT different than most car buying experiences. Its much more laid back and although I was nervous to make the plunge and get a new vehicle, I never felt pressured in anyway. Chris was my MINI Advisor and he not only let me test drive several different models, but also took me through all of the MINIs different features and was able to answer all of my questions. I have only had my Countryman for a month or so and I am already looking to see which MINI Ill get next! ;)

Throughout the process of buying my first brand-new vehicle, Chris and Dustin (the sales and financial team) were incredibly helpful and patient. Although the first time I walked in I had to wait around for quite a while before someone even approached me but it was a small hiccup in an excellent experience. Im very indecisive and Chris was very patient in my constantly changing opinion and I left ecstatic about my final choice. Only a couple weeks in having the car and still just thrilled to drive it every day!

Went in to schedule service for my Mini Copper. When I walked in the employees ignored me and they were not busy, they all looked at each other and wondered who was gonna help me, finally someone got up and asked how they can help me and I told them I needed to schedule service for my Mini Copper they took to a man name Todd he wasn’t helpful at all. He treated me like I didn’t have money to get the service I wanted done to my car. Todd was very unmotivated with his work. He wasn’t informed. Overall, the atmosphere of the store is horrible all the employees would rather be doing something else then do what they need to do which is try to sell and help the customers but not this Mini Copper. Rather go to Santa Fe location.
My wife and I went into Sandia Mini the other day looking for a Mini Cooper S hardtop that was within our budget. (3-5 years old, automatic, low miles, bright and light color) We were met by Chris Bronstorp, a very pleasant gentleman. He found out what we had in mind and led us to a few different choices but none had all we were looking for. Sandia MINI did an AMAZING job accommodating our 1 hour notice that our countryman was being towed to their dealership. They were able to get the parts we needed and install the new glass the next day, understanding we were on a timeline and hoping not to cancel additional stops on our trip. It is difficult to give people help or advice on something in which they are professionals, because they often feel as though they already know better than anyone else how to handle the situation or perform a given task. I have been in the automotive industry for well over twenty years, and when it came time to purchase a MINI, my expectations on how to be treated, product knowledge, pricing, the entire process had standards that may seem unattainable. To my astonishment, from the second we walked into the showroom, it was an extremely relaxed atmosphere. We were greeted by a sales consultant named Frankie. Frankie was incredibly sharp with her product knowledge. At no time did we feel any pressure or pushing to buy a car on the spot, in fact, we were offered refreshments while we browsed the facility at our leisure. My wife and I knew exactly the vehicle we were looking for, specifically a JCW F56. After a lengthy test drive, we moved forward with the transaction. We traded in a MINI that we loved dearly, one might say it was one of the hardest things weve had to do, as these wonderful cars are even considered family members, names and all. Cathy Bunn is the sales manager that helped us with the appraisal of our trade in. We were astonished that this smaller dealership had beaten our trade in value that another huge metro area dealership had offered! Cathy was supportive and empathized for our grief in trading our special car. By this time, it was past closing time, the doors were locked and employees were starting to go home for the evening. My wife and I were starting to get concerned that were keeping people too late. Again, we were floored at how accommodating everybody was. Still no rush or hurry in any way. Next came financing and offers for warranty. This is one of the many highlights of our experience. Jill Worden was our finance and warranty consultant. This woman had us almost in tears from laughing, she was an absolute pleasure to work with. Her knowledge, personality, and professionalism was just world class. She is undoubtedly an asset to Sandia Mini. At this point, its past an hour after closing. Cathy, Frankie, and Jill all were there for delivery. All three made us feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the entire process. This is simple customer enthusiasm. We could not be more pleased with the process, and have a phenomenal JCW F56.Many dealerships focus on primary sale. Sandia had customer service after the sale. We recently brought our F56, named Betty, for her first oil change and some exterior upgrades. Robery Lackey is the parts manager who gave us pricing that met and even beat internet pricing on our service work. He was easy to work with, and strongly recommended. The last two people that deserve mention are what I would consider the ultimate backbone of a dealership. Sandy Starr currently works in parts. Sandy is the reason we went to Sandia in the first place. She has been kind, professional, and her communication skills are second to none. She has kept me informed through the entire process of how Betty is progressing with the exterior modifications, she is the one that informed me when Betty came onto the lot at Sandia, She has offered and followed through with picking up the car for service and ensuring it was of utmost pristine condition upon delivery. Sandy too is an asset to Sandia Mini, and we look forward to doing business with her again very soon. Lastly, the technician that worked on our Mini was Chris Winters. Bottom line, his attention to detail is world class, from fit and finish of new exterior components, to making sure there wasnt a drop of residual oil on a simple oil change, from checking tire pressures, to making sure there wasnt a spec of grease on the interior. These things and many more are what separates the mechanics from the technicians. Chris is a technician that will service all of our Minis.Cathy, Frankie, Robert, Chris, Jill, and Sandy have far exceeded any and all expectations. Thank you.

Sandia is most definitely the best place to do just that, Chris was awesome to work with, and made the buying experience very easy and enjoyable. For any vehicle purchase from now on I will use Sandia Mini and Chris for sure. New or used!!I have always loved Mini Coopers but always needed a truck, so the first chance I had I did it. We got a 2013 Mini Cooper S Countryman. We have been enjoying it as a family ever since. I will be back in about a month or so to get a JCW for myself. I would like to take the time to make this review for Todd the service rep. On countless occasions my girlfriend has had a hard time with him and his rude antics. I first hand experienced this with his practically yelling and then eventually hanging up on me. Also very rude comments either out of prejudice or just ignorance. Never deal with him.On the other hand JJ, very, very good experience with him. He goes above and beyond with helping (ex. Calling back after the open hours just to help however he can). Very straight forward and patient.Thank you JJ.

My 2009 Clubman just went out on me and would cost way too much to fix. Cole, Kathy and Jill worked with me and they were able to get me in a 2016 Clubman within days of me taking my car! They are all amazing people and made the transaction smooth and painless. Not a hiccup in sight! Love Sandia Mini.
Our free and clear paid for 9 year old Mini blew up - or rather I should say, blew down as something inside the car exploded and caused a 12 radius hole in the bottom of the car. Neither Sandia Mini nor Mini Corporate would do anything for us except give a a few bucks for scrap. No one had ever seen anything like it and they had no idea what caused it. Luckily, it was just a lot of smoke but it could have been a major fire.We had just paid Sandia Mini $192 for a diagnostic and tune up. Literally 9 days before! Do you think theyd give us our money back! Heck, no!We were stuck with a new car payment and they couldnt cough up $192!
I want to let everyone know Sandia Mini Cooper has the best service team ever.. I have been driving a Countryman for a couple years now, previously I had owned 3 Toyota FJ Cruisers, love them, but they eat you up on fuel :( So I took a chance at the crazy good fuel mileage and goodness, I am so so glad, I love my Mini Cooper Countryman :)JJ Johnson in the service department, goes the extra mile for sure, I cant say enough about this guy, always has a smile and handles the service issue so quickly, so professional and personable..JJ Johnson youre the best at what you do...Many thanks once again.. I ordered My 2013 JCW in July of 2012. My Advisor,Toby Rich; was helpful through the whole process. There was no pressure he is very professional and knowledgable. Ladies, Toby may still be single. If you already own a MINI, Mike Gonzales in the parts department is an avid MINI owner and is very knowledgable and honest. The service dept. is helpful and prompt. I know a couple of the service techs and they are MINI owners too! Dont waste your time on other cars, get a MINI!!!

Ive had my mini for one year and 6 months, concerned about the quality and care during service maintenance, I convinced myself to use only one dealership. Today I was convinced that there is another dealership that stands firm on great quality, care, and customer service . I had to take an emergency trip out of town, with high concerns for the new light that just came on, I contacted the closes dealership which was Sandia Mini on Pan American Fwy N.E. Mr. JJ answered my call, I explained my situation. He immediately addressed what could be the reason for the light, but informed me he wouldnt know for certain until I brought it in. Mr. JJ went above and beyond to ensure it could be fix today so that my sons and I could continue our travels. I cant express my overwhelming gratitude for Mr.JJ outstanding service. Not only was the issue rectified within a short period of time, he took the liberty of checking my fluids and clean my mini as well. As a single mother traveling with two son so far off, THIS WAS HUGE! I am so glad that light came on when and where it did. I am even more grateful Mr. JJ took my call and helped us to continue our trip, with a greater peace of mind. I will certainly be back in the future for regular maintenance, it will certainly be a trip worth taking. Thank you Sandia Mini for Mr. JJ and your great service!!!!
