This is a great local automotive shop tucked away on the West end of Allentown. I purchased tires at another automotive shop and they were than happy to put the tires on for me that afternoon that I stopped in and at a reasonable price. A few days later I discovered a nail in the new tire and they were quick to get my car in and repair the tire.Friendly people, great service at reasonsonable prices.I would highly recommend Pit Stop Tire and Auto Center.

Im always cautious of being taken advantage of at auto places, but the people here are honest and give you the best deal they can. They also wont do anything that isnt absolutely necessary and run everything by me before doing any extra work to my car. Its hard to find a good mechanic that doesnt talk to you like you know nothing. This is not the case at Pit Stop, they are always friendly and willing to schedule you in even when they are busy. They have a great attitude and are willing to show you whats wrong with your car, unlike the big car dealership mechanics. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a mechanic for a decent price.

Got a flat across the street from this establishment. I thought I’d be stuck waiting for someone to come! But they agreed to help me out despite being close to closing time. Excellent service ! They do a multi-point inspection with a full service oil change which i thought was excellent. Very clean and safe environment. Showed me what was wrong with it and were honest. I appreciate the honesty because so many shops these days are about making sales. I am truly impressed with the business.

I came a little early for my inspection today and got serviced right away. They also helped me to access my Groupon coupon since I had printed out the wrong information at home. Great service, amazing people. My family and I are from NY and took a family day trip to Dorney Park on 7/24/17. On our way to the park my son blew a tire and while we were at the park I googled where to get a new tire before we made the trip back to NY. Pit stop Tire and Auto Center had amazing reviews so I decided to give them a call to check if they had my tire size available. The gentleman over the phone (Jeff) took my tire size information and called me back when he located my tire. When I arrived to Pit Stop Tire and Auto Center the tire size I had given Jeff was incorrect. Jeff went above and beyond to get me the correct tire size. He took a trip to Pep Boys to get me a new tire under the pouring rain and then the mechanic replaced my tire. All this took place minutes before they were due to close for the day and Jeff, Denise and the mechanic worked until my tire was replaced so that I would make it back to NY safely. I highly recommend Pit Stop Tire and Auto Center because the folks here are the real deal and give new meaning to the word humanitarians. Thank You Guys for getting us home safe in the pouring rain.

The valve stem core on my tire disappeared. Took it in, they got the right piece delivered and installed quickly. The tech even made sure my tire pressure light went away. Very nice staff, recommended.

I just moved into town, and needed a place to replace a flat tire. Found Pit Stop due to their good ratings, and after being serviced by Chuck and the team, they have made me a new regular. They were super nice and conversational. The place is very clean and comfortable for waiting during an oil change. Ive been there a couple times.For an oil change, it was a little long for an oil change, but they had just opened and the mechanic was definitely new, so it was understandable.I was there for major repairs, and yes it was expensive; but considering all that was fixed, it was expected.I really like that they dont pressure you or try to find things wrong with your car to make them more money. Ive had some really bad experiences with dealerships ripping me off, so it was refreshing. I recommend them.

This place used to be great when it was The Pit Stop. Now it’s a rip off. They just charged me $200 for a job that 2 other places quoted me half of that. They charged $99 labor for a 20 minute job. I’ll never go back.

I have all my oil changes, inspections and repair wok done there since they opened and have never been let down.Went in for engine light on, they did a test and found module was the problem and needed to repair for inspection. when they went to put in the module they found it unplugged.they plugged it back in and it was fine.they saved me over 200.00 dollars.I trust these guys and they have never let me down.

The staff is friendly, accommodating, and the facility is clean. I went there to get my inspections renewed and had heard excellent reviews about itDuring the inspection, they discovered that my wheel lock key was missing, which was totally my fault. So I tried to locate it and made a few calls thinking the person who worked on my car previously had it but to no avail. So I tried to explore what my alternate options were. They said that I would have to find it/get a new one and come back since according to their policy, they must take my wheels off to complete my inspection. Even that I understood, I figured, its my wheel lock key and theyre just trying to do their job. So I asked them if they could take all my lug nuts off using a master key and just replace them with regular ones. The guy said ok well see what we can do After making me wait for 20 minutes, he printed me an invoice for $105 and said its an hours worth of labor. That is completely ridiculous. Taking lug nuts off a car, with a manual jack, and a manual wrench takes 20 minutes tops. With their automatic tools, itd probably take 10 minutes. I dont know what kind of mechanics they have working there if a task such as that would take them an hour. I decided to just order the wheel lock key and take care of it elsewhere.I went to the dealer and asked them the same thing, to take the lug nuts off and replace them with regular ones. He gave me a quote for $40 (parts and labor). I called A-team and asked them the same thing, he said if I came at a good time with no wait he can get it done in half an hour at $45. So what these guys were trying to charge me $100 for, I have no idea. So I will most certainly not go back there and I would never trust another quote for these guys. For general work - inspections, oil changes, etc. sure. Also, I had my appointment for 1:30. I didnt leave till 3:30. Sure, half an hour was spent looking for the lock key. Why I was there for that extra hour and a half, no idea. Im not a fussy person and throughout that entire process I was really patient but that ludicrous quote kind of put me over the edge.

I was visiting town and got a flat tire. These guys gave me the option of repairing the tire or replacing it. I appreciated their honest assessment and they didnt try to upsell me anything when they could have easily done so. They also found the hole in the tire, which a national chain place failed to do a week before. Stay away from the chains and go here!

Didnt put the oil cap back on the engine after an oil change. Rookie mistake could have blew my engine because the oil was nearly all gone within a day. I will be checking for it the rest of my life now. Lesson learned. Rather pay dealer prices for trustworthy work. The owner also didnt compensate me fairly. Paid me for the extra oil i had to buy but thats it. Seriously? I expect an error like this should be full reimbursement plus more for my struggle, wasted time, frustration and potential damage to the vehicle. Had to walk to the autozone to buy oil in the heaviest downpour of the year. THANKS PIT STOP!

UPDATE: A MAN WTH AN ARAB ACCENT IDENTIFYING HIMSELF AS THE OWNER OF PIT STOP AUTO JUST CALLED AND THREATENED TO KICK MY ASS FOR POSTING THIS REVIEW!!!THANK GOOGLE FOR CALL RECORDING APPS!AND THE POLICE HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED!Bought new tires at Pep Boys, had them aligned at Pit Stop.5000 miles later I went to Pep Boys for a rotation and the mechanic showed me the wear on the inner rear tread.My new tires were balded already!Pep Boys put the car on their machine, and showed me how badly the rear was misaligned!Pep Boys said there was no way that road conditions could have caused the problem.According to Pep Boys, only an incompetent alignment could have ruined my tires.Furthermore, when I went to Pit Stop to document the problem, they talked in circles and were very harsh.They refused my $63 refund after their own report showed that I walked out the door with bad alignment!I have all the paperwork and an expert mechanics written statement of the bad alignment.Next stop for Pit Stop is small claims court 😁This is costing me new tires, days off and all kinds of aggravation; I will be compensated.And I will update this review.

Brought in for one thing, but the issues still happening, now they’re charging another amount to maybe fix the problems. Paid too much for issues not to be fixed. This has happened twice with two separate cars and two separate occasions. Lost hope and trust with these mechanics.

Never going to Pit Stop again & strongly DO NOT recommend to anyone. Pit Stop just tries to make money from you.(Although being warned by my friend) - I went for State Inspection with a $25.00 Groupon coupon, knowing that everything is fine as my car is only 3 years old with less than 45K miles on it..Pit Stop guys hammered thrice on the rear trans mount to make it move (I was watching this) & then mentioned - since it moves its a problem which is very common problem with Nissan & tried to make me shell out $200/- to get it fixed, after trying to offer me best rate & 10% discount.When I said not now - they said - they will have to fail my cars inspection (& that is what I told to do), as I knew they are doing this on purpose just to make money from me.After their shop, I went to 2 others places & both said there is no issue with the car to pass the state inspection & I got the State Inspection done from the second one.

Pleasantly surprised! I went in with a Groupon for an oil change, pretty standard. But then when they told me they could do my inspection also at Groupon pricing, I couldn’t believe it. Ended up with a full synthetic oil change and inspection for ~$90! Most oil changes I’ve had have been more than that. They’ve definitely earned my business...found my local mechanic!

Had a mailer coupon for a $19.99 for a signature pull change. Guy changed the oil in 4 minutes total. Did not do any safety / maintenence checks which as per the ad should have been done. No tire pressure check and no vacuum.When I have to climb under my car to check to ensure the filter was even changed I dont consider that good service. He didnt even wipe up all the oil on my drip pan. I like supporting local business and the shop and waiting area were clean but I wont be back.

Never experienced such poor customer service at someplace Im a regular customer. I failed inspection due to one of the tires being worn. I asked for an estimate and what kind of warranty is offered on new tires and Chuck said hed call me back after he researched it and never did so I bought my tires somewhere else. I called back because they had over charged me and I wanted to get the inspection sticker. Since I bought the tires somewhere else because they didnt call back they wanted to charge me for the inspection again. I spoke to Chucks wife that time and she said she would have him call me back to talk about the inspection and 4 days later I still havent received a call back. They are unprofessional and I will not be going back since obviously I am not valued as a customer and my business is not important to them.

Was lied to multiple about parts and repairs. Unfortunately believed them for two repairs before taking it to the dealership who just secured a loose wire between two parts that they claimed needed replaced. Had no issues with the car before taking it there for an inspection and have had no issues since I stopped taking my car there.

Pitstop is the only place I will take my car anymore. They have great customer service and reasonable rates. I have been using their services since I bought my car and dont plan on changing.

I have 3 vehicles that range from an old diesel pickup to a heavily modified Mustang GT and a VW Golf R and they all have been treated very well at Pit Stop. They are always friendly and make it easy for you to get your car serviced. Walk up to Wallys deli for a good sandwich while you wait.

SCAMMED WILL NEVER RETURN - Not sure I understand the 5 stars trustworthy reviews maybe they thought because I was a 9 month pregnant woman I was an easy target. I went in to get inspection with living social deal. They told me I need new brake pads which would cost $230, I was upset and hesitant so he said since he was a nice guy he would drop it to $209 just like that... I told him no my dad would fix. It took over an hour to get my car back. I took my car to another place and they said brake pads were fine and passed it! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!! They should be ashamed of themselves trying to pull one over on a pregnant lady just to make a buck. DO NOT GO HERE!!
