Edit: I changed the review from a 1 star to a 3. I would do 3.5 if I could. Chris the service manager called quickly to address the experience. I was very satisfied with his desire to make the experience better and how quickly he reached out to amend the situation. If you ever have concerns speak woth him. He gets a 5 star.The experience here was sub par if that. The staff did not communicate our needs. Needed a new key and a check engine light serviced in a government vehicle. There was no communication regarding the new key and was told they would not even diagnose the reason behind why the vehicle would not start. After words when dealing with checking out the receptionist walked put while on hold with the government agency for pay and told me if they took her off hold to answer the phone. I do not get paid to answer phones here, I am a customer. When speaking with the agency for payment she also did not even know they type or year of vehicle had no invoice or receipt in hand. They have one tech doing the the work for 2 companies and couldnt book an appointment until November.
I came to Amarillo looking for a car and these guys delivered! I visited other dealers in the city but nothing could compare with the service I got here. Took my car in for some concerns I had with it. The mechanic was very friendly and incredibly helpful. He called me 3 or 4 times while they had my car over a 2 week span to let me know what was going on, things they were able to find that needed to be fixed, and his best guess on when I would be able to get my car back. I really appreciated how the shop kept me informed and made sure I knew what was going on the whole time.

I bought a brand new 2020 Santa Fe from Amarillo Hyundai and not even 2 years later my check engine light comes on while I’m on vacation due to an O2 sensor. I call to set up an appointment for when I return to Amarillo and the girl who answered for services was rude and told me they couldn’t get me in until Sept.13th for a check engine inspection, that is a ridiculously long time. I then told her about my concerns about driving my car with my check engine light so I am not stranded trying to return home and she had no cares, but luckily a man from the Greeley Hyundai told me the car is ok to drive back but it may effect fuel range and may give off a fuel smell but if I have to drive it too long it may mess with the catalytic converter. My car is still under warranty so it looks like it will be a costly repair for Hyundai to fix and I will not be buying another vehicle from them
They are not very helpful over the phone do not go out of there ways to help customers. 🙁

He will let you know in advance if something else needs to be serviced, tell you why and show you the problem, not just try to get you to pay more. I wanted to look at a truck they had online and scheduled an appt. When I got there they didnt even have the truck I was interested in. Couldve just told me yall didnt have it, and, if I was interested in looking at other trucks. On top of that, the salesman came off too strong and pushy. He didnt understand what I wanted. I already said I was looking around on the phone, so dont get mad when I dont want to sign anything. Just saying, buying a car is a big decision.I hope every salesman isnt like this because this was a disappointing experience

I was looking at a 2020 Kona I absolutely loved. I spoke with a salesman, I believe his name was Rick. He was nice at first and seemed to be helpful. He ran my credit and after that he was hard to get in touch with. I didn’t hear from him for about a week and when he did contact me, he was rude and made a snarky comments. If you are looking to buy a car, I would suggest going someplace else.
Brought my KIA in for an oil change since the KIA dealership was closed that day. They did the job quickly and for a good price. Even got an OEM oil filter put on since Hyundai and KIA use the same ones...which was the main reason I came here instead of going to a lube shop. Will certainly be back again.

I went online to get information about the Ford Fiesta. I was then directed to submit an online credit check. I immediatly got an email and a phone call from Jack Pierce who was very courteous and professional. He encouraged me to come in the next day to see what he had in stock and I did. I wound up purchasing the 2014 Ford Fiesta and I LOVE IT!The original phone call from Jack was at 8:30 on Friday night & I drove away with my new car before 6:30 Saturday afternoon! The whole process was very speedy and hassle free.I later found out that the dealership closes at 7 pm but that they had held a meeting after work & that is why he was able to call me so late that evening. I feel that he went above the call of duty by calling me after having already put in a full work day.Jack and the dealership have called and emailed me just make sure that I am happy with my purchase. The absolute best service department I have ever encountered I cannot remember the mans name who is over the department and I really wish I could but he took my car and he gave me the truth about it and he done everything he could do that day it turns out my car has a recall issue with the engine and he got approval for a new engine that day and laid it out to me how long it was going to take to get the car fixed his top priority was my wife and myself as soon as I remember his name I will edit this post and I will give him much praise thank you Amarillo Hyundai

Terrible. Crooks. Con artist.I bought a vehicle and in my agreement a windshield would be replaced.It has been 60 days and I have not received any notice about the repairs. My vehicle was given an inspection sticker but will not pass inspection.They put a new sticker on a windshield cracked end to end.No parking break and now the ball joints are shot. Dont waste your time or money here.

I have purchased 26 vehicles over the past 22 years. Brett Dockins is the best salesman I have had the pleasure of meeting. From the time we walked through the door we felt comfortable. Brett actually opened the door for us as we walked in. We were looking for a car for our 18 year old daughter. She needed an upgrade as her 2012 Chevy Sonic was a base car. Brett was the most genuine and personable salesman I have seen. His genuine personality was refreshing and made feel very relaxed. We were looking at a used car but Brett suggested trying a new 2018 Hyundai when the payments were much higher than expected. He kept us entertained for hours. My wife never stays the entire time at a dealership when buying a car but even she stayed throughout this entire process. Our finance guy, Paul Willis, was very good and the process was a lot quicker than I have previously experienced. The receptionist, Rhonda Rose, was very excited for us and brought a lot of positive energy to this visit. Everyone was so nice. I simply cannot say enough about Brett. My wife and I were traveling across the country, in our new 2016 Sonata Hybrid, when our check engine light came on about an hour outside Amarillo. The service tech was very nice on the phone and said he could make time for us to come in on short notice. After we arrived and explained the situation further he took the car to inspect. One of the employees made us some coffee while we waited. We were only waiting 20 minutes before he came back and let us know the good news that nothing major was wrong, likely only a loose connector. When traveling its nice to have piece of mind that the service tech at Amarillo Hyundai was able to provide.
Their service folks give good advice, but NEVER let them actually do anything to your car. One time they charged me $125 to, literally, plug in the power cable to my fuel pump. This was on a 1996 Ford Ranger, and plugging in the fuel pump on that model did not require the tank to be lowered; at the time I was mechanically ignorant.Now, I do almost all my own service, including fuel pump, filter and oil changes. These people give good advice and information, but unless you want to pay through the nose for jobs no more complicated than wiping your nose, do it yourself.
This is the second Hyundai that I have bought from this dealership within the past year. The sales staff here are friendly, informative and are willing to do anything to create a great, non-pressure buying experience. Although I live more than 125 miles from Amarillo, and have a local Hyundai Dealership, I will continue to make the drive to buy from THIS dealership in the future and highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for a great deal on an awesome vehicle. I saw a truck liked it and wanted to purchase it they had it offered for 60k. But I saw the same truck 800 miles away and they were asking 55k. I asked them to price match it and the general manager told me to go buy it from them and left. Poor service all around.

So I dealt with him over the phone throughout the week to find what I wanted. Drove 2 hours on Saturday and sure enough he found exactly what I wanted year, make, model,and affordability. The entire staff was super sweet even to our 2 children who were wild. My Jeep was on its last leg, so I had brought it in to Tri State Ford to have it looked at to see what it would take to get it fixed. From the minute I brought it in they were exceptionally nice to me and extremely fair. I usually dont bring my car in to a dealership because of all the bad things I hear. But they were completely honest about what was wrong with my car and told me what it would take for them to fix it or even for me to fix it myself. After a few days of thinking about it I got a call from the manager telling me that they had gotten several cars in that were at a great price. I am a single mom going to school so finances were a huge issue for me. When I went in they showed me several cars/trucks and found the perfect truck at exactly the right price. Even though they knew my Jeep was breaking they were still willing to let me trade it in and have that as a down payment. I have been in my F-150 for almost two weeks and I love it so much! They even put some gas in it for me, which at the price I got the truck at I was surprised that they did that! While we were working on the deal I had my 5 year old there and the other employees there were so nice and gave her popcorn and kept her busy while I was working on all the paperwork! I couldnt ask for a better experience while buying a car! I highly suggest to everyone to go to Tri-State Ford for a wonderful buying experience!
