Dr.Lovcik is attentive, thorough, knowledgeable and kind. He is an excellent doctor and I would highly recommend him. He saved my husbands vision, where other doctors had missed the diagnosis. Thankful for Dr. Lovcik and how professional and caring he is.

My experience has always been wonderful here. When I was married 15 years ago I started seeing Dr. Downs, who has been my husbands optometrist since he was a little kid! Trust me when I tell you, he is wonderful. Very personable, professional, & explains everything so that I can understand it. The whole office is very clean, & the staff is wonderful. They are even great with my special needs kids. And they get things done right the first time. Ive never had a problem or a negative experience in 15 years. Theyre simply the best! I wish I could tell you that the service is horriable and to stay away but the only reason why I would do that would be to make sure I can get an appointment quickly. The best experience I’ve had at the optometrist. An entirely pleasant experience from my arrival until the time I left. They have various COVID-19 precautions, which made me feel safe and at ease. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Every test was explained and the results were explained and compared to the previous prescription. Overall highly recommend!!!

I can’t say enough good things about this optometrist! Dr. Downs has been caring for my family since the 1990’s. He now cares for my children. He is personable, knowledgeable, up to date on technology and overall the best in the industry. The office is spotless and clean and following all the covid protocols with sanitation, temperature checks, social distance and more. I will be a customer for life for sure, as my parents are.

From the beginning I could tell the staff was very well prepared for customers under our current situation. Locked door (to limit entry to customers only after temperature check), spaced out seating, masks, and having a tray to separate the glasses I had tried on. Both Dr. Downs and Jennifer were very professional, helpful, and patient while I chose a new frame. The staff is pleasant to work with in getting a new pair of glasses

I went in just to get a routine check up. Dr Downs showed me my current vision and what my vision should be like. I was amazed at the difference. I thought I had great vision but soon realized it could be much better. Jennifer was the best when it came to finding a pair of glasses and prescription sunglasses to buy. She was warm and friendly when telling me what worked or didn’t work with my facial structure. All together the experience was wonderful! I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. Thank you!!! Happy there is a great Local team for me to come see; and literally now I can see. Haha

The Best ! Dr. Lovick explains everything and loves having a love one come in with seniors so they understand what can be done to better your eye site. My mother has dry eye. He was very helpful.I went to se him for new glasses. Found out I had 2 cateracts. Refered me to coastal vision . Had surgery and very happy with the new technology with the new lenses that I can see upclose middle and distance! No more glasses. Thankyou Dr. Lovick.

I have been seeing Dr Gary Lovcik for at least 10 years now; he and his staff are like family. Dr Lovcik is patient, kind and caring. His staff is knowledgeable and efficient. And He’s always up to date when it comes to new, innovative eye testing and products.I would highly recommend him to anyone needing eye exams, glasses and/or contacts.

-Incorrect prescription.-Paid for additional features that I didn’t get.-Does the Doc & Staff know what they’re doing?-Is COVID to blame for all the mistakes?I was referred by a family friend who strongly recommended this office. The staff is nice and the doctor is friendly. Unfortunately mistakes were made with my prescription glasses. I purchased eyeglasses and sunglasses that had all the features offered for additional purchase (anti glare, blue light filter, transition lenses etc). After a few weeks I realized both pairs didn’t help my vision. I came in and the doctor confirmed he made a mistake and made it stronger than needed. I first left my sunglasses to have them put on the correct lens . This process took about 1 week. Now I had to leave my eyeglasses and do the same 1 week process. That week I used my sunglasses to see all day and night. It was inconvenient doing this especially when driving at night and this caused migraines. Days later I picked up the eyeglasses and the prescription was correct, I could see. After a few hours I realized that I was missing a feature (transition lenses). I paid hundreds of dollars for features like this and it didn’t have that. This time they’re letting me hold on to these glasses until they fix their mistake to make the lens and I don’t have to rely on my sunglasses, how generous. I will have to make another commute back to Anaheim Hills to pick them up. Now I don’t know if my eyeglasses & sunglasses “really” has all the added features I purchased. The $ 1,000 eyeglasses/sunglasses I paid cash for could really just be a regular $ 500 feature less glasses, who knows..Not sure if I’m a isolated incident but if you purchased these extra features be sure to confirm it someway so you’re not spending more than you get. I will probably have to return to my previous optometrist in a third world country of the Philippines or whichever country I’ll be visiting and have them confirm if they really have it on my next annual check up (by the way their advanced technologies allow lenses to be made same day instead of 1 week). At least I know there won’t be any mistakes and quality control.P.S. They did OFFER a apology.1 extra star because the doc is a trum p supporter.

This office is highly professional. Dr Lovcik, my optometrist, is one of the top in his field. He is knowledgeable and also approachable. He takes the time to walk through the exam process making sure I am comfortable with understanding the results. Their equipment is the the most up to date. The staff is friendly and helpful. I have had a great care for Over 20 years. I have no reservation in recommending AHOC!

Dr. Downs and his staff are always amazing. My son’s follow up appointment for his first pair of glasses went so well. They did a great job helping to see how his glasses were working for him. They were also so helpful getting new temple pieces ordered to replace his that got broken.

Called Dr. Lovcik yesterday to make an appointment for a busted blood vessel In my eye. Katelyn was able to get me in this morning. All went well and was seen and out in less than 10 mins!

Dr. Steven Downs was very professional. The entire office staff was so wonderful and accommodating to my two little ones (6&7). Dr. Downs did a great job with the kids and was so patient and friendly. The office is really nice and clean, lots of close parking and we didn’t have to wait very long. Great experience!

Dr. Lovcik uses state of the art equipment to track my eye health. I can see any improvement or regression in my eyes from the first visit to now! This is extremely important to me because both of my parents had glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts which I would rather catch early and get treatment before the effects are irreversible. Great people, great equipment and lots of different glasses to choose from, even Maui Jims!

My whole family has been going to see Dr. Downs for the past three years, ever since we moved to California. All the raving reviews were spot on -- I will never switch to another optometrist, now that we have Dr. Downs. I am fairly particular and critical of service providers, particularly in the medical profession - he is only one of a few I can speak so highly of.His office is run professionally and every person from the front desk, to the technicians (and Dr. Downs himself), are friendly, attentive and thoughtful. Appointments are usually on time and scheduling is easy. Very rarely do you find a doctor who spends time explaining your diagnosis and answering questions, without feeling rushed.Each time I visit or take my teenage son, we feel like we are his only patients and he makes sure we are comfortable with everything. Jenn, Sergio and the rest of the staff make sure that all of our questions are answered and that we have everything we need, from contacts to prescription glasses. They also work to make sure we utilize our insurance effectively and explain all the options available to us. Its very rare that you find an entire staff that makes you feel like they are there to serve you, and that they enjoy what they do.In the past year, I can count on one hand how many reviews I have written and most of them arent favorable. Thats why you can trust that Dr. Downs is clearly a standout in my book.

I scratched my cornea and they were so kind, courteous and helpful. The doctor explained the whole experience. He put some antibiotic in my eye and told me what to expect during the healing process. Other than having to look like a pirate for a day, it was a wonderful experience!
