This a great lumber yard. Easy to drive through, pick your items, and load directly on your vehicle. Payless carries quality products making it unnecessary to pick through, with prices comparable or better than the other area lumber yards. They had everything I needed. I wont shop for construction materials anywhere else again.

I bought over $700 dollars worth of plank redwood to build my front porch. So we build it and after a week and a half we started to notice the wood was splitting where the screws were. So we went and bought some stain and applied it. Then the next day we notice the stain was dry but sap is oozing out of the wood in all different places. So I called them ask why this was happening and the guys stated that the wood was still green. Why would you not inform your customers that your wood that you are selling is not cured all the way. Now I’m afraid my porch isn’t going to be secure with how bad it’s splitting. I’m very disappointed and will never go back to this place again!

This is the best lumber store in the area - the customer service is great - the staff responsive, helpful and friendly, the prices competitive and on certain items, well below what youll find in other stores. They also get both better quality lumber than the other stores in the area, and for those on the cheap, very inexpensive, below grade lumber when it suffices for your project. Theyve always been great about letting me know the options and letting me choose. Theyll always let me know if there is a cheaper option available. They get some kinds of lumber, such as redwood merch quality 2x12s that are perfect for garden beds, that you wont find elsewhere. I highly recommend Payless!

Great selection of lumber items and prices are always reasonable. They give discounted prices for items that are less than perfect. You can purchase the same lumber at other stores but most likely at an increased amount.

Very convenient, just drive up, tell Lee what you need, he loads you up and youre on your way. Drive thru for hay, grain etc...hes very small town, does charge accounts for regular locals, if hes out of something hell call you when it comes in, knows all the kids, hes a good guy

Bought 7 80lb bags of redi mix concrete today from payless. What a joke! A dollar a bag more than Lowes and about 10 percent rocks in the bags. It was like I was making a cake. Useless, had to throw it away and go to lowes. Dont waste your time there!! Total ripoff!!

I have done several large projects using Payless Building Supply in Anderson. They have always taken great care of me. The staff is friendly, helpful. Their prices beat the big box stores in Redding especially on Lumber.

#I had a good experience at Payless lumber, the yard crew helped immensely and prices were fair.I ordered 5/8 ODB shop grade for $21 and that was it for that day. The counter people were friendly and not long of a wait.
