I went here with my gf. It was super busy but it was really fun. Food and drinks were good. Costumes there was awesome! We went here last year. The jousting was our favorite. The people that make stuff at the renaissance festival at the shops are so kind and helpful. Their really good at their crafts.

Went with family and had a great time. Got nothing from here because everything is over priced. But beautiful stuff in here and I recommend you stop and take a look around

This past weekend I went to the fair with my father my wife and my daughter it was great until we made is back to the truck someone keyed our beautiful truck from headlight to tail light... never started anything or beefed with anyone.... so when you go to a event like this in Maryland your going to around garbage people that have to try to destroy nice things... so if you have a nice car or truck... I advise you to keep it at home

I love the ren faire! After you pay admission you just meander around and watch whatever shows & entertainment you like. Make the rounds at the unique food choices and be sure to catch the joust. Craft artisans offer a wide variety of unique items too. Such a fun experience for the family every fall!

Fun for a few hours and great if youve never been before. Vendor pricing definitely increases each and every season, long waiting lines and 1 per guest bar lines. Musicians are still top notch!

I own 3 hats from Tall Toad, all of which - despite being very context dependent - are some of my very favorite hats. The quality is very high, and the staff is ready and willing to help size/adjust a specific hat for you. Theyre a touch pricey, but so is everything at Rennfest. You do at least get what you pay for (~7 years wear on some of these hats and they still look new).

Fun but no where on website does it mention that ALL FOOD and DRINK vendors are cash only. Only a few ATMs and the lines are extremely long. Always over-crowded. Not many signs inside the festival that mention cash only. Not everyone can afford to carry around $500 worth of cash. Food and other materials are overpriced but thats expected.

I always love going to the Renaissance Festival, and have since I was a kid. The area is well maintained, and even after my knee surgery was not too bad to get around. Beware of the hills and slippery weather conditions, if that is a concern.

Great place to spend a day. Not everyone knows when the renaissance was but it did not take away from the enjoyment. Seems most of the places took only cash which should be remembered. Things for children and grown-ups.

Whatever your renaissance persona, Tall Toad has the perfect hat to top off your outfit. If youre not sure what you want or need, check with the extraordinarily helpful staff and they will help you get the best you can get!

Unique entertainment every where you turn is what keeps me coming back. And theres more food served on a stick then you can, of course, shake a stick at.There are a lot of artisans with various price points. Its best to go the whole circuit, then loop back to the art you really want. Otherwise you may run out of money before the end. And since 99% of the artisans only accept cash, you dont want to wait in the huge atm line. Also there are no modern toilets, just porta potties. They keep them as clean and functional as possible, but on busy weekends, be prepared to have an adventure by the end of the day. This is a very family friendly event, but I always have a blast as an adult.

So worth sitting in an hour long line of traffic to park here - the village and atmosphere is so well done that when youre bare handing your Turkey leg in one hand and sloshing your mead mug around in the other whilst yelling huzzah at every other commoner, you really feel like youre slumming it in the Middle Ages.Bring cash, expect to blow through it even tho food ($3-10), booze ($4-12) and games ($1-2) are all surprisingly cheap.

Wow, this was a truly horrible experience. I really enjoy these kinds of festivals, and travel to other states for them, but this was truly disgusting. I will never return, and recommend others skip this awful experience as well. Unless you like rude staff, dirty pathways, and feeling like a sardine.

This is an amazing store @ MD Ren Faire. She has all sorts of hats ranging from silly to pirate to maiden to royal to steampunk & everything in between. I go in there every year and dream. I met the owner/designer this year and she was awesome! I found out you buy from Tall Toad year round! Eek!!! 😲 How Awesome is that! 😆

I was once a die-hard fan of the PA Ren Faire and refused to jump ship.. However, distance, time and money have moved me over to Maryland. Whereas PA may have much more lively actors and activities that are scripted you cant beat the combination of better, original craftspeople in Maryland with insane state faire food.

Been coming here 3 years now; its my favorite Renn Faire. Food is great and there is a HUGE selection, the jousting games are better than any Ive seen before, the vendors are great (and some of them are pretty reasonably priced, for a Renn faire at least), the entertainers are always hilarious; its just an all around great day. Make sure you bring cash though, some of the vendors will take cards but the food and drink stands will not and nothing is worse than waiting in line at the ATM while hungry because it then turns into having to wait in line for the food while starving.

A fantastic festival full of creative vendors, playactors, and delicious food. Parking is difficult as you get closer to closing weekend, so beware, and always leave before closing, or getting out of the lot will be a nightmare. Remote enough that you cant hear road traffic, with emergency services always close at hand, this is the best faire in the area by far. Stay all day and see jousts, plays, and the maypole dance.Family friendly, handicapable. ATMs on site.
