I do not recommend renting a U-Haul Van from this facility. The woman working at the front desk was initially friendly at pick up. I was to pick up the van at 3:30pm but when I arrived the door was locked and the person didnt return until 3:40. I also spent 20 minutes waiting for their computers to come back online due to a thunderstorm (not their fault). By 4:00 I was finally checking out. I was shown the inside of van which had not been cleaned out, she offered to clean it but by this time I needed to get out of their to meet the person that was helping me load the van. Also I couldnt even get into the driver side door due to the way they park this large cargo van in a very tight spot. I had to climb through the passenger door to get into the drivers seat. To the owners, I recommend a more accommodating spot to park this large van. Now here is why I am writing this post. Upon return I parked the van in an easy accessible parking spot. I noticed a customer in the office, waited and then went in to return the key. I had barely gotten through the door when the same lady that checked me out looked up and snapped at me to use the mobile pickup. I have a cell phone but do not purchase data so that was not going to work for me and I told her I wasnt able to do that (by the way, we had talked about my cell phone plan and I told her I didnt have a data plan when I picked up the van). She was noticeably irritated by that response and snapped again whats your mileage, did you put gas in the van, you need to park that van where you got it from and put the key in the drop off box. Mind you nothing about using an app. was mentioned when I picked the van up and Im glad I returned the van almost 3 hours before it was due and before the office closed. When she was busy snapping my head off she mentioned they like using the app due to contactless policy yet you spent 30 minutes with me in the office when I picked up the van and you had a customer in the office when I returned. I understand we are still in a pandemic and I love stores and places of business that follow CDC guidelines to protect public health, you just need to be very clear at pick up that you will not allow customers back in to return keys and process the return, WHICH YOU DID NOT WHEN YOU SO RUDELY BIT MY HEAD OFF. Also U-Haul, dont assume we all have smart phones. I have used U-Haul all my life for moving and storage and never had a complaint. Hopefully this is just one bad seed. Oh and word of advice to the office lady, people using the moving vans are probably tired when returning the vehicles, a simple hello and civil attitude would go a long way. Have a nice day! No only is the front desk lady Randy, rude and completely lacking in customer service, this place will scam you. Ive had my storage unit unit less than 4 month. Today they send me a letter saying the price was increasing by almost $20 a month starting in august! Absolutely ridiculous.

Most importantly this place would not be the same without the great staff, they make sure that you are taken care off and always keep the storage in great shape.

This is a good place as we used them for about a year and a half. Took our stuff out as we moved and had more room. They are on a busy road but this is a popular area.

The facilities are nice and clean. The leasing process was fairly easy. They have a variety of units to choose from for a good price.

I went there to rent a storage unit and was turned away due to my not wanting to put a mask on. I understand that these are different times but she shouldve been a little more professional and maybe explained that we couldve done this over the phone. I went somewhere else and rented a unit. In this day and age of technology there shouldve been another way to take care of a potential customer.

Clean facility! Space I needed was available, friendly staff that worked with my needs. Thanks so much!

Storage King in Apex is great, 5 stars all day! Randy and Regina were super helpful in getting me a unit quickly. The facility is safe, clean and well maintained.

Friendly staff, unit was clean and easy to maintain. The only thing was the access to get in the unit didnt really have any where to park we were on the second floor. To unload and load our belongings we have to walk to the other side of the lot. I highly recommend this place, it is secure and very clean.

Do not rent a U-Haul from this location. Because of the unkind words from the front desk when dropping off, I cant imagine what it must be like to rent a storage unit here. When we arrived to pick up we tried using the app and mobile pickup which was somewhat of a headache so my husband headed inside for some help. Initially, the front desk associate was helpful and friendly. When we dropped the truck off at the end of the day, we received a call shortly after informing us that we needed to come back and “drop off” the truck through the app. I’ve never had to do that with U-Haul before, but in all fairness I’ve never used mobile pickup so perhaps the procedure is different. Well, we dropped the keys in the drop box already so when we returned and the app asked for mileage, we realized we needed the key back out of the dropbox to get this information and fully “drop off” the truck. This location closes at 6pm and we pulled into the lot at 5:59 exactly. Mind you, the associate was still inside at the desk. I completely understand that she probably wanted to leave for the day, and was understandably frustrated when my husband asked her to open the dropbox back up. She first told him they were closed, but reluctantly agreed to open the box when he showed her through the window what the app was asking for. What we did not expect was her callous attitude and unfriendly words. She whipped open the door and said, “I’m not happy but it is what it is.” She proceeded to get even nastier and say, “What if I wasn’t here still? What then?” Not sure what happened that she was suddenly SO unfriendly and rude, but it is enough to make me never want to do business with any storage king USA ever. I work in customer service, and by no means is the customer always right. But it takes no effort at all to try to be understanding and calm. Renting a truck is already sometimes a stressful situation, and she just made it worse. Our visit was on 6/13/20.

Redundant door policy...you cant hold the door open but you can open it every five seconds. It also is DESIGNED to prop itself open. 1 star for the weak power trip.

Love this place! Friendly staff very genuine and great to talk with made renting a unit easy didn’t take long and great prices. One of the nicest storage places I’ve seen. Definitely recommend! 😊

Good rates on some storage units

This was a great place until the lady working the front desk (Regina) forgot that the reason she has a job and receives a pay check there is because of the customers renting storage units. I’m not one to write bad reviews, but she really needs to learn how to communicate and realize that normally when someone is renting a truck, it’s already a stressful situation. Being in customer service is a hard job, but remember it’s called “customer service” its serving the customers needs, because they are paying$$$ not the other way around.

Property manager Jeanette is always eager to go above and beyond to please the customer. Friendly, polite, fun and professional. Always a pleasure. Also offers the best prices in town. I would highly recommend this facility.

Clean storage. Not convenient open office hours as the person on duty seems to always be out of the office. They do need more carts for moving things in and out. Secure and clean which is what really matters.

OMG! What an amazing experience had with everyone at storage King. They made the entire process of decluttering our house for the sale and storage of our items seamless. Accessibility was great. Cleanliness is beyond any storage unit of ever been in. Just cant say enough good things about storage King USA of Apex

Our unit had water damage from a storm. All of our items were damaged and had to be thrown away. I will never use temporary storage again. I do not recommend this facility or any storage company to store your belongings.
