My friend’s daughter had her first birthday party. I had to ask her where the beautiful cake was from ! Not only was the cake beautiful but it was so yummy!!!!! The frosting was great and the Cake itself was a white cake that was super moist and not too sweet . The white cake with the frosting was delicious!!! I will definitely need to stop by anytime I need a cake or anything sweet for an occasion!

Had a seemingly easy time ordering my daughters birthday cake from here last year I asked for a Minnie mouse cake and vahla I got a Minnie Mouse cake, this year it has taken almost a week to try and order every time I call to order there was an excuse, I was told their email doesn’t work and to come in which is 30 minutes away, I tried to tell her it’s no big deal any animated cake of the cartoon will do, it doesn’t have to be over the top, mind you this is exactly how I ordered it last year by phone but the kid at the front desk this year either acts like she doesn’t have the time or can care less about the business and it’s customer service. If the owners read this please hire someone who wants and cares about their job and doesn’t loose you business. I wanted to order again but in the middle of figuring out the design she hung up on me, I thought we got disconnected but I called back to back no answer but she decides to answer my other phone so it was apparent she purposefully hung up on me and didn’t want my business, very unprofessional. I guess she has the authority to pick and choose customers.

I love this place. I knew to come here for my wedding cake, and they did not disappoint. We LOVED our cake! We did 1 sheet of white cake and oreo filling, 1 tier cake of red velvet and cream cheese frosting, and last tier of carrot cake and cream cheese frosting. Thank you so so much!

I Have ordered cakes from this shop for over 5 years. I have always been very happy with the quality and attention to detail to their work. But their quality isn’t their anymore and that attention to detail is non existent. Don’t know what has happed. Order a cake last weekend not worth half of what I paid for. Color was way off. Red was a neon orange, the edible paper was used and seams were lifting and melting off. Cake was not fresh. Really disappointed and the have lost me customer and also many of our guest at the birthday couldn’t believe our cake was from the cake shop. If I had pick up the cake personally I would have not accepted it.

Really good cakes. I like the resees cupcakes. The people are nice. Since the custom cakes are hand made just make sure you give them 2 or 3 weeks before you need the cake.

Loved this place, the cake that I bought was the strawberry shortcake with almonds on the side. Super delicious and good price. Clean and following guidelines.

I get all my special event cakes here. (For the last 6 years) Each one has been just what Ive imagined and have tasted yummy too! Everyone at parties always compliment and ask where I got the cake!

2 cakes ordered within a month and both were very disappointing. This used to be a great place to get cakes buy something has changed. Frosting is smothered on and too sweet, also the cakes are out together poorly. One cake literally fell apart within a half hour of getting it home. I do not recommend this place. Even after I complained and got a 15.00 gift certificate, will I use this establishment again. I recommend looking elsewhere.

Husband bought cupcakes for me for Valentine’s Day. They look good... they taste good except for the frosting it was too sweet. Took the frosting off and put Cool Whip.

Thay need more variety of cakes.and the host need to fallow phone orders,so when you pick up the cake it exactly as you asked for.

I dont know what she was implying, or what about our appearance gave her the right to judge a customer period, but she should be replaced immediately. I have had pretty positive experiences here up to this point, but I will not spend money at a business who backs this attitude. Also, quality has changed & frosting is not great.-Previous review:4 stars-Great cake shop that pretty much has everything you would expect out of a bakery. We use them every time we have an event since theyre closest & quality is pretty good. One complaint I have is that sometimes things are missing or its not what we instructed. Ex: my sons birthday cake, they put the name in the wrong location, not as discussed, & it was missing extras we paid for. A separate cake also was missing items we paid additional for, and we never got the money back from it. So just double check it is what you ordered, otherwise it should be great.

I gave this 5 stars for the cupcakes and bran muffins. The bran muffins are the best I have ever had and sell out very quickly. Everything is fresh and the shop is immaculately clean. It smells really good in there and it is pleasant as soon as you walk in. I did get one person that wasnt particularly friendly but were all entitled to a bad day now and then so thats what well chalk that up to now.I do however believe that they are very overpriced. I dont go often but they do have an assortment of small, beautiful, very delicious cupcakes I absolutely love so its okay to treat myself now and then.

The Cake Shop was an amazing place to get your wedding, birthday, personal cakes, cookies and pastries. However, as of late I have been very disappointed with their work. Hopefully they can bounce back from this slump.

Poor communication. This was supposed to be a square building that looked like it had windows and a billboard on the front. The web is incomplete and the windows did not go all the way around. The windows arent spaced evenly. I should have gone to an artist. We even drew a picture of it. If I get my money back, I will have a slightly different opinion.

Love their cupcakes, only thing lately though is their flavors are not so consistent in flavor, to subtle tasting, and have shrunk down in size.

I ordered a cake for my daughter here!!first and last time!! First of all the ladies here are so rude! Second their prices are way too high they charge you for any little thing and third the cakes are not good at all for the price i paid i could of gotten something waay yummier somewhere else !! I have ordered cakes from The Cake Shop for years and they have always been beautiful. Something has drastically changed. Customer service is lacking. Ordered a cake three months ago for my sons birthday and it looked like a girls cake, ribbons all over it. Took it back and had them correct it. Thought it was a one off.Ordered my daughters 21st b-day cake from them a week ago. Picked the cake up, brought it home and realized they spelled the word birthday wrong! This was a $180 cake.I called to discuss it with the manager and was told that the manager would not come to the phone to discuss it. It is very sad to see a business go downhill like this and be so unresponsive to their longtime customers. I will not be back.

The baker had no idea that we were coming but other than that it was an absolutely fantastic experience Im really looking forward to seeing my cake.

If Google had the option to put ZERO stars Horrible customer service l wanted to order some edible pictures for a homemade cake I made for my son bday and the girl said no we dont do that we put the pictures on for you when you order a cake from us. Mind you theyre cakes are not good like they used to be. Other cake shops offer the print edibles So I went somewhere else. Never again

I didnt even know this place sold all kinds of desserts, including MACARONS! This place has good stuff, if your booking for a cake or anything for an occasion, this is the place.

This is an awesome bakery. Some things are pricey but its worth it go check it out.

This place has good cakes but bad customer service. They mess up on your order and they dont give you your refund in full. They want to give you only a store certificate for a couple of dollars to buy at their shop. Why would you want to buy anything else at their shop! With the way they treat you! We wont be going back to them or recommending anyone.

Treats were good did not like the customer service tried to order a custom cake lady kept saying that what I wanted would be over my budget and costly which I never said I had a budget she just assumed . Which then I replied I didnt care how much it costed and she still was telling me it was gonna cost to much and I continued to try and ask what flavor cakes and fillings and she said it be whatever in season which I was trying to order the cake for 2week time frame and wouldnt even tell me what flavors or even try to take my order so worst customer service took my business else where would not recommend this place at all

Just went in this morning. Not a big assortment. 4 cakes on display.I purchased 1. Have not taste it yet.the place was inviting. The cashier was very stern looking not a smile. A turn off.. I find pleasant people always help in how u feel about the place. She said the cakes r fresh, Hopefully the cake will b moist.

So originally I decided I was never going to come back here, because all the times I had been here the workers were so rude. I decided to give this place another try after almost a year and a half, and Courtlyn (I hope that was her name) was so kind and attentive. She didnt roll her eyes or rush me when I was deciding on cupcakes. These 5 stars is for her. I will go back, but mabye peek through the window and see if she is there first.

FAIL! We foodies love our food and are quite vocal about our experiences in dealing/eating with all High Desert family-owned eateries. You dont seem to have too many fans- Myself included. You gravely underestimate the power of social media and quality customer service -not to mention the fact that nobody appreciates or is willing to pay your prices when you use factory packaged mixes and common shortening in your products. Pretty-minus-quality is not acceptable which is what echos with most your demographic former customers. Three different times I made small purchases your shop It was QUITE clear by the way I was literally looked down upon and the manner in which I was spoken to that I didnt fit the type of customer you preferred to do business with. Or perhaps you treat all your customers with such rude/disinterested looks and tones of voices. Or perhaps the Cake Shop is only a front for something illegal? It wouldnt be unheard of, and would certainly explain your attitude and severe lack of professionalism. Nice Matters.

I was mesmorized by all the wonderful looking desserts. The employee was very friendly and gave me a mini eclair to try while I made my decision on what to get. I ended up buying macaroons, mini eclairs, and several cupcakes and I have to say, our family was pleased with every single item! I would definitely recommend this bakery for a delicious treat!

This shop has delicious pastries, however not the best customer service. My father and I found this little gem yesterday morning (09/28/17) When we walked in, the girl in the front was very sweet. She offered us a complimentary puff pastry (Normally $1) to help us decide what we would like. I accepted mine, but my dad was not in the mood for it at that time so he passed. We ended up spending $6 on Coconut Macaroons that day. From then we decided that this wpuld be our new morning stop... we even told family and friends. This morning (09/29/17) we got up and came into The Cake Shop to try a few more items. Our total today was $15. Before paying my dad asked the sweet girl in the front if he could try his free puff pastry that is passed on the day before. She proceeded to laugh and say no and if she were to give him the free sample now then they would all have to be free and she cant do that. A little put off because we were not really sure what ahe was getting at, we paid and left. Due to the sour taste that left in our mouths, we will be continuing our search for a good pastry shop for our morning drive to work :(

Amazing treats bad customer service. I have been going here for years( at least 3 or 4) the cupcakes are amazing! The lemon drop is to die for, but the service is horrible. Everytime I go in they ask what I want then get rude when I take too long looking at the selection. Every single time I come I have never had good customer experience. And this seems to be a reoccuring theme. Honestly I thought I could just ignore it, but I am tired of being treated like a bother. I work customer service too, you dont have to be nice, but sounding inconvenienced by your customers and rolling your eyes is rude. I honestly wont be back again. If your just in the area for a cupcake you will not be disappointed.

Cupcakes are good. I only come for the carrot craze ones really. The lady with the curly hair that got my order is a bit rude. Tried to compliment the shop and the cupcakes and she cut me short. Actually this is the 2nd tine I’ve been here and she’s done that to me. So if you come, make sure you come and get your cupcake and leave. Forget the formalities.

When I attended the Bridal Fair at Sping Valley Lake on January 24, the lady by the name of Susie? Susan? Was just so rude!! We were excited to see them there as I have gotten many cakes from there for my birthday parties When I was a kid. We told the lady and she was just like okay. Then we tried to set up a taste testing for wedding cake it just seemed like we were a big bother to her! Like she didnt want to even help us! My mom asked if we should call and shes like Im the one whos gonna do it. Well Im sorry but I dont want you to do it! My mom introduced herself and the lady lightly grabbed her hand and was like okay. Its like she didnt want to shake her hand! We have never had a bad experience like we did too. Im very disappointed especially since weve been a customer since I was 8 or 9 which is 10+ years! Needless to say I wont be coming back to them or using them any longer.

Bought their Groupon for cupcakes - while everything looks so tantalizing - its not. The cupcakes are dried out and the frosting is over the top sweet. I love sweets, but not to the extreme they go. Ive had far better. I was so disappointed. I will never be back.

I purchased 2 cupcakes, one chocolate cupcake and one lemon cupcake. The chocolate cupcake was dry, the frosting was good. The lemon cupcake was great and the frosting was pretty good. They had no milk. Customer service was pretty bad, no personality.

The cake was beautiful but it was way too sweet and the cake taste like it was box cake purchased at the 99cent store. The decorations were stunning but was not impressed the way the cake taste.
