Ace hardware in Apple Valley is awesome! Their wait time is two weeks, but I got my lawn mower back in two days, just in time to mulch the maple leaves on my front lawn! Also the service is impeccable! Jayne the cashier, and Sean who did my paperwork are great people! I had the help of three of their guys to load the mower in my trunk, talk about service! Thanks Ace!

We were able to find what we needed here with minimal help. The store is nice and clean. Off-street parking.

I know a lot of people dont like Ace due to it having higher prices than their big box store competitors but thats the price you pay to get some competent help.

Vary informative and knowledgeable on questions and additional options we had on their BBQ grills. Prices are comparable to all other stores we looked at. Ace will assemble and deliver for free. Knowledgeable people to do the assemble. If youd like old grill taken they will do that too, for small fee of $15. All staff was vary nice and are willing to help.

My wife and I recently moved to Apple Valley. We visited Ace looking to purchase a lawnmower. The employee was so kind, patient, and honest in answering all of our questions and helping load the mower into our vehicle. We have been back to the store several times since, and each time, the experience is a positive one. Highly recommend this location.

We only usually go here to get the snowblower fixed ...they do have excellent service for that. They have good customer service here and can help... but the price are better at menards and the selection.

Good friendly service. It was the only local place I could find a decent blowup pool for my daughters birthday. All other stores only had the basic plastic dishes

They even worked with another store (Lakeville) to get the issue resolved. Forget the big box stores and support Ace Apple Valley; you will be happy you did as the customer service is absolutely phenomenal! Excellent hardware store, Ace IS the place of the helpful hardware man and woman. When I entered the store I was greeted by a very nice young female at the register who knew her hardware, thank you.

This place has saved me a couple times now. Incredibly friendly staff, very knowledgeable, super great place to buy from. Makes me wonder why people go to the big places when little places like this exist. I cant remember the name of the two gentlemen that helped me find an item, but they were great. I was in this Ace Hardware today because I needed to get my two free bags of bird food that were missed when I was there yesterday. The bags were on sale for buy one, get one free. When I purchased them I thought they were the same price, but didnt realize they were different later in the evening after I got home and looked at the receipt. I debated about returning to the Apple Valley store to obtain the two bags that were missed. I explained to the very nice man who checked my receipt and he took me at my word and handed over two bags that were missed yesterday. Dropped of my edger and blower for tune up repair nearly a month ago. I yet have to get them back. Every time I call they’re next to be worked on, obviously a lie. They keep doing that over and over. Yo what end, I don’t know.

Ive always enjoyed how Ace feels more family owned. Being a franchise instead of a huge corporation makes Ace feel that way and much less chaotic. Have never had any problems at Ace and the staff at this location are always great!

Great folks took care of me right away . had great knowledge about what I was looking for. They are in the middle of revamping for the seasonal change but they still have everything you need..i got some cheery stone for drainage and sone rooting compound. In the middle of winter .

I love shopping at Ace Hardware Apple Valley because I get GREAT service. The associates are so knowledgeable and can answer questions for my DIY projects. This store reminds me of my small-town Arkansas hardware store where they treat you like good neighbors.

Quality customer service. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I stopped to get a duplicate key made and it was super quick - I was in and out in less than 5 minutes - no waiting and the guy who made the key and the cashier both made sure I knew it was guaranteed. Definitely will be back for hardware needs.

Easy online ordering and pick-up

This store is a scam, charged me to dcarb my snowblower even though the chances of a non diesel engine that was only used three times to have had build up like that is VERY slim to non. After I was charged for the pickup and repair they returned the snow blower. Upon inspecting the snow blower after I was able to get home I noticed fuel leaking from the engine! Not just a drop here and there but running out of the engine. Turns out a number of the bolts (on the outside of the engine, I dont know enough to take it apart) where not securely tightened down! They wont allow a return of the product and wanted to charge me again to fix the problem they caused. They said if its a new problem they would need to charge me. However How would there be anything wrong with a snow blower that was used 3 times bought brand new from this store and yet it has MAJOR issues within the first year and three uses. This is a brand new almost 900 dollar snow blower that was used three times, and somehow there are HUGE issues costing me hundreds of dollars more to fix so its usable!

They have a great selection of Craftsmen tools and your basic hardware store offerings.

These guys are ALWAYS so helpful. Its worth paying just a bit more than the big box stores!

Brought our lawn mower in for a tune up and they said it was OK to pay with a gift card but when we came back they said we couldnt pay with a gift card. It was just a annoying experience. In the end we paid with the gift card but still. If you say we can pay a certain way and than turn around and say we cant that terrible customer service.

Had a problem with a leatherman product i purchased at this store little more than a month ago, so it was out of the stores normal return period, but i sure appreciated that Lucas figured out how to get it done so i didnt have to mail it in for warranty. This location has always been one if my favorite stores in Apple Valley, because of the great quality of products and the amazing service they provide to fix your mower, shape the blade, help fix a pressure washer.Its so much easier and friendly than the bigger stores.One of favorite parts are the impressive grill and smoker products and accessories especially all of the different smoking wood selection that far surpasses anywhere else that I have found.My thanks to everyone that works there for all they have provided for me and my family for years.

If you are going to Ace Hardware, you know what you are getting into. This location has a good selection and now carries Benjamin Moore paint, which is the best quality and hard to find these days.

I came in looking for an auger belt for a very old snowblower. The gentleman behind the counter was able to identify the correct part size with just a few minutes research. Great customer service, friendly, & knowledgeable staff.

Like every ace I’ve ever been to the staff is really attentive. Soon as you walk in someone’s there to ask what you need and lead you right to it. Also when I forgot my wallet they kept the door unlocked for a couple extra minutes for me to get back. Great folks

Absolutely amazing customer service! I purchased a lawn mower in 2011 and discovered that the bag and its frame did not fit 8 years later. When I brought it to their attention they immediately provided me with a replacement.

Mike is one of the managers here and he is the definition of great customer service! The residential key I needed was high security key and besides one place in Bloomington, no one has them in stock unless they special ordered them. So I called a few days later, not that I would be the only person who needs this key, but he recognized that I may have been the lady who called last week and said you know what, Im going to process an order for some right after I get off the phone for you. It was so nice of him to do, and he asked for my phone number and name and said specifically that they would be in by the end of the week. Two days later, I received a call saying they were in. Great service, and great guy!

Had a good experience the first time we came. Got some locks rekeyed at a reasonable price. Called them tonight to ask if they could rekey some more locks and the person said “sure, come on in!” We drive all the way there (20 minutes) only to be told that their locksmith is gone til 7:30 the next morning. Why wasn’t that communicated over the phone before we wasted our time? Learn to communicate and not waste your customers time.

Employees are knowledgeable and helpful, quick store run for basics. Even exceedingly specific browsing is simple here. For main isle niche tools and hardware ace is my first choice.

Wished I had read Service reviews first.Last week my used mower decided to quit working mid-mow. A helpful neighbor suggested I bring it to Ace Hardware for servicing. Being new to the area I figured that my neighbor knew what she was talking about so I took her advice and promptly brought my mower in to be serviced.I had a very good idea that the mower likely needed a new drive belt and supplied this information to attendant that helped me get checked in. I paid a $30.00 fee for them to inspect the mower and was told TWICE that I would be called before any work was actually done.Fast forward 6 days; now I get a call stating that my mower has been repaired and is ready for pickup....Wait I say to the person on the phone.....I was told that no work would be done to my mower without getting a phone call first and me authorizing additional charges. What happened to that policy?The only reply I was given was that he was sorry and wanted to know when I would be able to pick up the mower. I told him I would be there within 2 day to get it and then asked how much more I was being charged...funny this information was not provided at the same time as the notification that the mower was ready.The attendant told me it was going to be another $92 and some change. I AGAIN stated that I was told I would be called and that I was VERY upset with this level of service provided. I likely would have authorized these charges but I was not even given the opportunity to say yes or no. He said OK well we will see you when you come to pick up your mower.The day of pick up I tell this attendant (different employee than the previous 2 encounters) that I am upset with this service as I was not even given a phone call for me to authorize any charges or to inform me of what was wrong; the work was just done. This attendant seemed not to really care at all and said our mechanics do a good job and are very busy, they just made the call to repair the mower so that they did not have to wait for a bunch of back and forths playing phone tag. Here is your ticket you can take this up front to pay and pick up your mower out back....then he walked away.WOW I thought..... this is information that the public needs to know about.DO NOT BRING YOUR SMALL ENGINES NEEDING SERVICE TO THIS BUSINESS!! They care nothing about good customer service and frankly operate this location like a bunch of crooks.Concerned and disgusted citizen.

Truly amazing how such a small store seems to have everything I need. Theres probably more staff there than in a big box 10x the size. I dont really notice much difference in price either.

Absolutely zero Covid-19 precautions of any kind. It was very uncomfortable shopping and we will not be back for some time.

Never will I waste my time and/or energy to ever give this facility my business. Asking the short black haired young man (40s) a question regarding weather stripping for a patio door. Well with a snootie remark with the attitude hearing my question was not what he wanted to hear, nor even wanted to reply to. If you didnt want to be at work go home because theres plenty of people out there looking for a job that will give an attitude way better better than what you provided. This was not my first time of walking out the door dissatisfied but it is my last time of walking through the doors of Ace Hardware in Apple Valley.

Our visit to this store was a perfect 10, all of the employees were more then helpful they were thoughtful too. I came in thinking I may need to buy a drill to put hinges on a toy, which I wasnt comfortable doing for fear of destroying the toy. Be very, very careful when you have your equipment serviced there. I had my snowblower serviced on 2/2/18. A list of things was done according to the service order including replacement of the auger belt. Last weekend I got to use it for the first time since that service. From the very beginning the belt started slipping a little, but by the end of the plowing the auger ceased completely. I brought it back Monday and was surprised by another $37.49 charge for a belt in addition to the first charge of $123.74 . The explanation that I got was: It was pretty heavy snow, so you worn the belt. While previous belt was working for 3 seasons on all kinds of snow, the belts that Ace Hardware uses is only for light flurries, apparently. So, when you have your equipment serviced there be prepared to have defective or incorrect parts used or getting charged for things that were not done. Thats what, I think, happened to me. Now I really hope for another snowfall to check out if they fixed it this time. Sorry, everybody. ;-)

This is one of my favorite hardware stores in the area. They have a great selection and knowledgeable, friendly staff.

Ive done business here since we moved into Apple Valley in the 80s, back when it was Jims hardware. Went in to buy some fuel line for a small engine project im working on, told the person at the back counter what I was looking for. He had a hard time deciding what I needed and finally cut me a chunk of hose. When I got home and tried to use it, the hose was so old and stiff you could hardly bend it into tighter areas. Went back with it and was told, we cant return cut product. Not even defective? No. Funny how a small incedent on the wrong day can end a 35 year consumer relationship. Ill drive elsewhere, as long as its not the same owners. Had me for 35 and lost me for good.

The most awesome staff, helpful and they never shame me for not having a clue what Im looking for because I just got sent over to pick something up. Patient and knowledgeable. Every little thing you need for home repairs (and I mean EVERYthing) but you dont have to walk seven miles around a box store where you cant find a single soul to ask (or if you do, they dont know the answer most of the time.)And ACE Hardware AV always has snake be gone and it works (snake phobia here). I dont know if that is the name of the powder but that is what I call it.
