Salon Services: I am beyond mortified about my hair! I went in with mid back length hair, semi thick and asked for a long bob to sit right above my shoulders… she even measured and showed me “this length” and I said yes that’s perfect. She gets to cutting…. When she is done my hair is literally slightly below my jaw line! Not only that but the cut itself is extremely choppy and uneven! I was just so lost for words when I saw it. And when I got home it was just that much worse as my hair dried completely! I WILL NEVER GO BACK!

Absolutely wonderful customer service! Veronica helped me pick out a concealer and foundation. I don’t know much about make up but she was so patient with answering my questions and finding a shade that worked best with my skin tone. I’ll definitely be back to Ulta! Thanks for the assistance!

I went in to get my hair done the other day. All employees on the floor were all very nice and helpful but the the girls in salon were nothing but rude. I sat down in the salon and was describing what I wanted my hair to look like and the haircut I wanted. The girl seemed nervous and not sure what she was doing and very confused. I had asked how long she’s been doing hair and she said three years. Now not only did it seem like it was her first day but she ruined mine. She had taken away my blonde where I told her to make it brighter and more on the golden but now I have no blonde. Next we had discussed my haircut, I specifically told her to cut it to shoulder length to start and if I want it shorter I’ll ask. This women goes when she’s done cutting and I quote; “I went a littler shorter than we discussed “. I wear glasses so I can’t see what’s going on and I was enjoying a nice treat for myself. It was extremely disheartening to see she had went two inches Shorter than what I had asked. I left crying my eyes out. I will not be returning for any service here.

I used to shop here all the time. Now I don’t want to because I won’t support a business that mistreats their employees. That’s why you see different employees every time you walk in there.They don’t like to hire people with disabilities either. I would say shop at Sephora or Target to buy your makeup

I walked in and was immediately greeted by Kim. I wondered around for a bit and she checked in with me asking if I had any questions. I told her I was just looking and had never been in the store before. She offered to give me a tour or answer any questions. She helped me find some products, answered some questions, offered her opinions on certain products and made my experience there flawless. I was in around 11am when they opened but was not the first customer in the store. Excellent customer service. Excellent experience. This is exactly how customer service is supposed to be. I love Ulta! Huge variety and employees are always around to answer questions or offer assistance. Also I never feel judged when Im not wearing makeup to go buy makeup or skin care.

On a slow night I stopped in to pick up a few things. Walking in, a taller blonde associate gave me a salty vibe and went to check on another customer. For some reason, I got salty vibes from all the associates who were working at the front. When I was ready to check out, two associates looked at me weirdly and walked out to the floor ignoring my presence. It literally took a few minutes for an associate to acknowledge I was ready to check out even though I was the only customer in line. By all means, I love shopping at Ulta, but please treat all your customers equally.

A woman was shopping in the store without a mask and the employees did nothing about it. I let customer service know about it two weeks ago and they have done absolutely nothing to let me know that theyve communicated with their staff to adhere to the mask guidelines in the store. Why have the rule if youre not going to enforce it? Bad customer service, bad store operations. Stay home, dont bother putting yourself at risk.UPDATE: I received a call this morning from the store manager, who assured me that the incident would be used for future training purposes. I appreciate their following up. Please note that when entering the store, if a customer gives a medical reason for not being able to wear a mask, Ulta cannot force them to wear one nor can they force the customer to leave the store (this is what I was told). Ultimately I hope they just do a better job at enforcing social distancing guidelines.

I had hands down the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced at this place. When the hocus pocus collection launched, I was unable to get a lip kit like I had wanted. I went into the store 30 minutes after opening and they were sold out of just about everything. I happened to check the app later one and it said they had some in stock I call and am told by a friendly lady that it was put on hold that morning and confirmed that if they didn’t pick it up by end of business day that I could be next to pick it and I said I would call in the morning and find out if they did or not. The next day I called and speak to i believe the name was Rosie and she tells me that yes it’s still there but the manager wants to hold it another day for them. I question why since there policy is only a 1 day hold. She lets me speak to the manager who informs me this person called at 6pm and she wanted to give them more time and she would call and see if they were coming to get it. I decided to drive over there to figure out what is going on as I called well before that person did. I walk in with my mom and asked to speak to the manager, I tell her who I am and ask her to confirm she said the lady called and put the items on hold at 6 and all of sudden she doesn’t know when they called. She get the lady that puts the items on hold. This woman, Julie was the rudest person I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with, she tries to tell me she told me that she had till the end of today to pick up(a two day hold, policy is 1) which is funny since I’ve never spoken to her before. I said no I was told she had till the end of yesterday, I can’t remember exactly what all I said after that but she continues to be so rude to me that when I asked if I needed to call corporate, she told me to go ahead and call in the nasty tone. I had to ask her why she was being so rude and why she was yelling during our conversation, it was that bad. I have contracted corporate, once right after it happened and heard nothing from the store, turns out the store number was entered wrong. As of now I have not heard from either store manager or district manager. I will not shop this location again if this is how they treat their customers and allow their employees to act. I never did anything to warrant that kind of treatment, I simply wanted to know why company policy was being broken over such an in demand item that was sold out everywhere. Guess Julie decided to do a friend a favor since she took it upon herself to call the person, when she was not someone that I had spoken to and hold it for so long for them since as of closing time that day it was still in stock on the app and the person was supposed to get it within two hours after 1:30pm that day and she was so rude about it all, I can only guess that she knew the person.My respond to the owner: if you truly cared, you would have contacted me when corporate told you too and dealt with the employee, maybe get her some customer service training. Clearly you allow your employees to treat people how they want to regardless of how it reflects on you.

I love Ulta because they usually have everything Im looking for that is beauty or skincare related, from drugstore to high end. They always have great deals going on or coupons online unlike other beauty retailers. They have a wide variety of brands and they seems to update their brands almost every time I go. Because they have so much it can get a little cramped in some aisles, which makes it really hard to shop in one aisle at the same time as someone else unless youre at opposite ends. If you need help it is fairly difficult to get help because you usually have to search for and approach someone yourself which can be daunting, but they are usually really helpful when you truly need it.

I got my hair cut and colored by Cooper today, and he did a phenomenal job! He should be recognized for the service he provided. He was very friendly, and had such a great personality! He sounded like he knew what he was talking about, so I trusted him to do what he thought would look best. It looks outstanding! I love it! Great job Cooper! I will be back for his service again.

My stylist is Tia. She is very talented. You have you to be talented to be able to style, cut and dye hair. But Tia is much more than just talented. She is engaging, personable, and extremely accommodating. She makes me feel like I’m a rock star by the end of my cut. Well worth my time and money.

I cannot say enough about Maggie, the skin therapist (aesthetician) there at Ulta in Appleton, WI. Not only did she customize a facial to fit my needs, she was also able to explain which products I would need to help my acne prone skin. She was so kind, gentle, and really helped educate me about my future skin endeavors. Not only did I purchase products she recommended, but I also set up another appointment right away. As a person who struggles with acne, it’s so refreshing to work with someone so dedicated to their profession. It’s very clear she’s passionate about her line of work. Thank you for going above and beyond!

The employees are always friendly and happy to help, store is clean and organized. Returns are super easy and quick. The frequent sales and freebies with purchase make it even more fun to shop. Im always happy with their stylists work.

Went in to see if they had an opening for a hair cut. Was so fortunate to get Cooper. He did the most amazing hair style I have ever had. Will now only let Cooper cut my hair!! Love the look and the cut. Hes a true artist!!

Costumer service was great I called in because a concealer that I got was too light for me and I wanted to know if I could exchange it and the person who answered was really nice and very helpful. When I went to buy my product the cashier was amazing he was nice and patient and was happy. I love how they are nice and have many offers. I had and amazing experience.

Ahhhh! Had such a lovely experience with Gretchen at the salon and Ashely at the brow bar! They are not only wonderful cosmetologists, but also wonderful people. We had nice conversations during the services and they each were very attentive and went the extra mile to ensure I was 100% happy with my hair and brows. Usually, my hair doesn’t hold curls but with Gretchen’s skills it not only held throughout the night but I also received lots of compliments! My brows were equally as impressive and I enjoyed the wax itself, but also Ashley’s expert shaping and filling which left my brows looking perfect for my face shape. Really really happy I decided to give the Ulta salon a try! Thank you both!

Lots of variety. Tons of great products to choose from and their cosmetic line is great too! Not 5 stars because getting assistance is difficult, I was passed around between different staff for reasons unidentified to me. And a lot of the products they have to offer are already opened! I wanted to buy a new foundation and 3 different kinds I looked at, someone had opened it, tried it, and placed it back on the shelf! EW!

Dangerous place for a makeup lover like myself. You know that feeling you would get as a kid walking into a candy store? Looking around not knowing where to start first. Thats what I feel like here. Very helpful staff for the most part. Sometimes a couple of the girls seem a bit lost if you ask them a question. Clean and organized.

I think it was a great store. I dont know anything about makeup and they were just super helpful in finding my shade of foundation. I did notice that when looking for a brand she picked the most expensive one. I can only suspect she did that on purpose. I wouldnt blame her though, it is her job, but her main priority should be too help me the customer instead of just trying to sell the most expensive stuff.

This Ulta store has a pretty good selection; they have Soap & Glory and Model’s Own, which are harder to find. However, I have come across plenty of incompetent cashiers the couple of times I’ve been there. It almost seems like the cashier is always new to the job and has to ask for assistance from the manager, so returning or exchanging products takes way longer than necessary. Also, the sales assistants generally ignore me (not sure if anyone else has experienced this at this store).

They have all sorts of things you can think of for skin, hair, make up, etc. A little overwhelming if you dont know what you want. There was a very nice girl with purple hair that was the only person to greet me, answer my questions and help me. She was great!

This Ulta is pretty good. They are usually stocked with goodies and the customer service is exceptional! Overall I recommend this store for your makeup needs, but I wish the store didnt feel so crammed especially in the drug store makeup area.

I got a facial by Maggie Walkoe an Aesthetician at Ulta. She examined my face and asked me what my concerns were. She gave me advice on how to treat my problem areas and shopped with me afterwards to help me pick products that would address my concerns.I would highly recommend Maggie...she was amazing!

I had a very good first time experience at the salon with Torie. I brought in a photo of a haircut I wanted and ended up with a personalized haircut that resembled the style in the photo! She was very knowledgable, helpful, and made sure I left happy with my haircut. Ill definitely be going back to her for my future haircuts

Went here purposely to buy shampoo and conditioner. Two different clerks were very helpful to me...

I was there to make an exchange and a purchase. The guy at the counter was the only friendly and helpful one. He said just go pick out the color I needed to do the exchange and hed swap them out. He did that. He gets 5 stars! Reason I didnt give 5 stars is because no one else offered to help me, they always seem to just be wandering around or tallking amongst themselves. One woman finally did offer to help. (After about 10-15 min) I explained what I was looking for but that Bare Minerals didnt have it. I showed her what I was looking for and asked if she could direct me to some possible other brands that might have that color or something close. She proceeded to walk over to Bare Minerals section and told me to look there. I said, no, they didnt have anything close to it any longer. I showed her the color again. She walked to a different spot, showed me different colors again and I also told her I didnt want any shimmer. Oh shimmer is the in thing she said. I dont want shimmer I said again and these are not even close to the color I showed you and Im looking for a single color not a palette. Walks me elsewhere. Shows ne another palette that has 6 colors AND shimmer AGAIN! I told her again, No, this is NOT what Im looking for and it is more than 1 color & shimmer. She says, oh, I like shimmer though. Are you serious? I dont care what you like, Im buying for me not you! She walked me around to the other side and yep, you guessed it, wrong colors and shimmer! She totally walked away from me as I was talking to her! I just stood there and looked around. Another customer looked at me and said did she really just walk away from you as you were talking to her? Yep, I said. We both walked out! Cannot seem to get help in this store. Will not give them my business any longer! It should be 0 stars!

No, this is not my real name. I have been in this store 2 times now and the manager needs to be dismissed. 1st visit with Gary 12/2015 he wasnt even in the store at the time when haircut was scheduled for. Store manager reduced the amount of the bill. Now fast forward to 8/2017, appointment with Gary again. I was 5 minutes late (health/personal problems/couldnt get past the Quinze (Hispanic Sweet 15 Birthday group)). Gary was no where to be seen. Find out he was in back with store manager-same manager from 12/2015-chatting it up. I waited a minimum of 45 minutes. Know that when I made appointment the person I spoke to (female) was informed that I had a coupon that she said I could use. Got the feeling that Gary wasnt happy about that. When I went to front registers to pay, the manager was there and she didnt say a word to me. I am disabled and wasnt able to accomplish the other errands I needed to accomplish in the mall. Gary is a good stylist, BUT...I WILL NOT BE BACK. IT IS DIFFICULT FOR ME TO EVEN GET THERE AS I AM IN OSHKOSH AND HAVE TO RIDE 3 BUSES (3 ROUTES) TO GET THERE!!! AND I PLAN ON LETTING CORPORATE KNOW ABOUT THIS!!!

Shouldnt even bother going here! WASTE OF TIME went in to get my face,eye brows and upper lip waxed. Ieft little red on my upper lip then next day it was really red puffy and I could barely talk. I went back to talk to ulta manger and she asked me If I take any medication or wash my face I said no. She told me she couldnt do anything for me. Never asked me for my name or info just said she couldnt help me dont waste your time!!!!

Sorry but you lost my business ... and its a shame because I used to love this store. They have obnoxious sales people all over the store, and some were very rude and pushy, giving unsolicited advice for what they think I need. Then you go to check out and there is a huge line because only one person checking people out. How about pulling some of the people selling stuff to actually wait on customers!

A little bit less than a year ago a woman walked into an Ulta Beauty Store in Florida and opened up a credit card in my name. She only had one piece of information correct on her application, my social. Who knows how she even got that number. This is Not the reason for my review. I really don’t hold the fact against them that a garbage person down in Fl did a really dishonest thing. However...I went to this Ulta location in my hometown to buy some makeup for my professional kit. I wanted to try the Nyx brow pomade and grabbed one in each shade (each shade is in it’s own row). When I got home to put the in my purchases away in my kit, I noticed that I had two of the shade Expresso and no Chocolate. I kept my receipt and brought the product back to be exchanged today. When I went to the chocolate row to grab a my replacement I checked the box to ensure I would be making a third trip. Sure enough Expresso. I put it over into the row for Expresso and pulled the next box. Checked it... Black. Moved it to the correct row and finally find Chocolate. Get up to the register with my unused product, my replacement product and my receipt from my original purchase. I am asked for my phone number.This confuses me, I didn’t give my number when I made my purchase and I have my receipt. My product in unopened and unused. I’m not returning for cash I am trying to make and exchange. I am informed politely by the girl behind the counter that they will need both my number and my address in order to make any exchanges or returns. I tried to explain given what happend last year why this would not be happening. Another girl stepped in and scanned my receipt and said “Yup, see it’s the first this our system asks us. There is no way around it.”Unexecpible! I told her not to worry about it and walked out. I got so angree tears almost weld up. You have no right to demand personal information from people. I have my receipt and untainted product so you know I’m not trying to abuse the system. I would rather be out the $8 than to make myself vulnerable. This in a horrible and dishonest policy. I don’t want anything for free. I don’t want a discount or coupon. I want this company to have more respect for its customers privacy. I want to have one of the two women I spoke with to offer to get a manager and find a way to make this exchange happen. Oh and for their shelves to get stocked correctly.I should be a valued customer always, not only not if I’m willing to give out personal information. I will not say the amount I spend per year on makeup and supplies but I will never spend another penny at an Ulta Beauty.

Made a special trip to Ulta since their ad stated a free sample set if I spent $19.50. Found out when I got there there was something wrong with the sets and they had to send them back. At least they had my charcoal eyeliner this time.
