Came into look for a reclining love seat; but didnt expect to find one as they are scarce in white leather. Cindi showed me a great option and I also found a perfect table for my dining area. Lots of good choices available and superb customer service from. Cindi. I going back to get an electric fireplace to finish furnishing my new townhouse. Just moving to Oshkosh from Madison and never thought I would find what I wanted in Appleton. So happy I stopped in.

We custom ordered a King Hickory couch, over-sized chair and ottoman through Steinhafels on March 28, 2021 and were advised it would be delivered in mid-September, then pushed to mid-October, then to mid-December and now it states MID-FEBRUARY!! We tried to have our sales representative assist to better understand and see what the store can do but with minimal responses. Had we of known this would have taken 1 YEAR to get a couch and chair, we would gone somewhere else. Although I understand the majority of the issue lies with King Hickory - Steinhafels has been of no assistance.

I visited the store to see what was available in my price range for a sofa. I was acknowledged by staff but not pressured. I meandered to look at many fine quality pieces. I found it, plus a chair to match. I found many pieces I liked. My salesperson was pleasant, friendly, and professional. I also met the manager. Fine individual. This will be my first stop, and probably only, for purchases in my future.

Typical poor salesperson philosophy. You cant visit the store without them swarming in on you. They try and push you into buying things you dont want. They brag about their products and warranty and service, but after the sale is complete everything changes.We bought a sectional couch two years ago. Have had issues with one of the pieces since day one. They came and fixed it, but the issue came back soon after. Then a year of COVID, shutdowns, and everything that came with that, and now since its been longer than one year (but still well within the five year warranty that was sold to us) we were recommended to contact Guardsman for out of warranty service or a local repair shop. The couch still advertises online for a five year warranty, but we need to pay for out of warranty? Thanks, Steinhafels. Thanks.

We have shopped repeatedly and worked with Amanda Krueger each time. We so appreciate her connectivity, professionalism and attention to detail each time. She is amazing. We plan to work with her in the future for sure!We have had occasion to visit most other furniture stores in our area and Steinhafels has them all beat hands down. The show room is spacious, well designed and the selection can’t be beat.Also, we have connected with Emmanuel on a few visits as we waited for Amanda to finish up with a customer. He is awesome!

Slogan should be “Lots of excuses, no solutions”. My wife ordered a couch 8 months ago, and we still have no idea when it will be arriving. When purchased, we were told to expect it in about 6 months. Since that time, the expected delivery has shifted, one month at a time. We are now told it will arrive at the 10 month mark, but I have no reason to believe that. Because it was a custom order, we are not entitled to a refund of any sort. We went to Lovesac and got an awesome new couch shipped to our door in one week, with amazing customer service. Care to guess where my future furniture dollars are going to be spent?

The lady that helped us said they would unplug the sofa we bought and put it in the back so nobody else would sit on it after we purchased it. Came in the next day and it was still plugged in the same spot. Also we wanted to purchase a chair to match the sofa that was being discounted the next day. The lady said they opened at 11. I looked online and the store hours said they opened at 10.I came in at 10 and the chair was already gone. Seemed like a really sketchy situation. Definitely won’t be shopping here again. I hope I at least get what I actually purchased.

We were looking for leather furniture and didnt have a lot of choices from other stores, but I was very happy when we walked in to Steinhafels and they had a very large genuine leather selection! We wanted a nontraditional set up and Tom helped make it happen! Selecting different pieces of a sectional to create our own custom couch and love seat! Thank you Tom! He was very informative and did not pressure us into our purchase. And the purchase itself once we made our decision was quick and easy. And the best part is our furniture will be delivered in a couple weeks instead of months like the other stores said. Excited to get our furniture next week!

We recently had a very poor experience at Steinhafels, at the Appleton location. My wife & I had been looking for a sectional for some time and finally found one that we both liked and went ahead with the purchase from Steinhafels. At the time of purchase we weren’t quite sure which sectional configuration would best fit our living space but the salesperson stated that if you get it set up and don’t like it that Steinhafels would do everything to make things right. The delivery people came and set up the sectional but the configuration did not fit our living space as we had hoped, (honest mistake ordering the wrong configuration) we then contacted the salesperson and told her that the sectional configuration was not correct and we wanted to order a new configuration that would better fit our living space. She then started that she could order the correct pieces but their would be a restocking fee of 15% on the returned pieces. I asked her if there would be another delivery fee and she said that she would take care of that and there would be no additional delivery fee. Long story short, after speaking with the store manager turns out we were going to be charged another delivery fee, the manager said that the salesperson did not have the authority to waive a delivery fee. In the end Steinhafels was going to charge us another $400 to get the sectional in the correct configuration. So instead of paying $2500, they now wanted us to pay $2900. In the end we decided to return the entire sectional, but in the process had to eat $475 (restocking fee) of our hard earned $$ for an honest mistake. We were promised things from the salesperson that she couldn’t deliver on (lies to make a sale). We have now sent two messages to Steinhafels asking for a refund of our $475 but have not gotten even a simple response from as of yet. If they do not respond and make things right we will never do business with them and will be sure to let our family and friend know.

DO NOT SHOP FOR FURNITURE HERE. I will never be purchasing another piece of furniture from this location and make sure to let others know to do the same. In October we ordered a sectional for our new home. Once it was finally delivered in April they delivered the wrong set of furniture. They then ordered the correct furniture and had it delivered to their store. At which time they told us we needed to pick it up and drop off the incorrect piece, otherwise we would need to pay an additional $109 for it to be delivered. We were told the the delivery option we chose was for a one way delivery only that did not include exchanges. THIS IS NOT AN EXCHANGE BECAUSE WE DIDNT LIKE THE FURNITURE, the exchange is because THEY delivered the wrong thing. I called and spoke with customer service and they just continued to reiterate that that was their policy. How does that policy make sense when the error was on their end? Im disgusted after paying so much money for this couch in the first place...

She allowed us to move stuff around to get a better idea of how it would look in our home, helped us with measurements and had an amazing attitude with us. After waiting months and setting our delivery appointment we arrived after driving 50 miles one way to find our furniture was not ready nor at the store. When asked if they would deliver because they made an error and I wasted a huge amount of time. They wouldn’t even oblige. Instead blamed me. And told me it be ready Friday. This place doesn’t deserve your business. If I ran our customer service in this manner I wouldn’t expect to have customers. Ridiculous!

My wife and I recently had a bad experience at Steinhafels. We ordered our furniture on Jan 17th, and had original estimated delivery dates between late February and late march. The entertainment center was estimated to be in stock sometime in February originally, but Steinhafels plays an inventory game and will push back deliveries or fill other orders first if your order isnt ready yet. Thanks to this policy, our sectional came in and was delivered this week after being pushed back numerous times, but we had to split the order or wait another month for my entertainment center now estimated at late may. Now Steinhafels wants to charge us another full delivery fee for the entertainment center. They refuse to waive the delivery fee for an entertainment center that will in the end take close to 5 months to get. Needless to say we are not happy with this very poor customer service and inventory management. We will not be shopping with Steinhafels again, and we will make sure to steer all friends and family away as well. Steinhafels does not care about their customers.Update: 2 more months have gone by since posting this review. Our entertainment center was just pushed back AGAIN....to mid August now. Nobody from Steinhafels has reached out over the past 6 MONTHS to apologize or offer any sort of an incentive for our patience. Thank you Steinhafels.

When I did need assistance, I received very helpful and personalized service. I even had prompt replies to my text message questions when I left the store to compare shop around town. We purchased a love seat and sofa on January 30th spending $4200.00. We were told delivery would be early March, then late March, then early April, mid April and now late April. The love seat has been available and at their store for 3 weeks. If we want that delivered now they will charge us an additional delivery fee. Customer Service doesn’t exist at Steinhaufels! We are now going on 3 months with no furniture. They don’t care how much you spend at their store and we had to pay in full in January. They have had our money for 3 months. Very unhappy! Going shopping at Chilton Furniture. Our friends bought a love seat and sofa from them, paid half the cost until the furniture arrived. The love seat came in first so they delivered it, when the sofa came in they didn’t charge an additional delivery fee. That is what I call customer service!

If I could do negative stars, I would. We bought an item, they would not let us return it… NO where does it say that you cannot return the item. They said it says on the delivery slip…tho it was damaged the delivery drivers said we had 48 hours to return-corp customer service (Chad) said he agreed it does not state on their website, they would check into it. No follow up. Called the store, spoke with Scott who said “that’s our policy” and hung up on me when I asked to speak with management. Spread the word~awful customer service, think once about purchasing from them.

We ordered furniture on January 3rd, when I was exactly 4 months pregnant. It is now June and I have a newborn and no furniture. When we ordered the furniture, I saw the expected date of delivery as February 1st. Knowing that deliveries were known to be extremely delayed (due to COVID-19), I explicitly asked the salesman (twice) what a more realistic date would be. His answer was, This date says February 1st. My husband has called the call center twice to check in on order status and to see if they could compensate for our extremely disappointing experience, and we were given the solution of canceling our order. Horrible experience with customer service. Paid extra for delivery service, then the delivery men scratched up our brand new floor while bringing the furniture. Contacted customer service to complain, didnt hear anything back for weeks, I contacted them multiple times and was finally told that the issue had been resolved and they refused to do anything about it because the delivery men said the damage was already there. They actually took pictures of the floor after they scratched it up and used those those to claim that it was already there. You can literally see the path they took to drag the furniture into the room. Will never shop there again, if you do watch the delivery people every second they are in your house.

We just recently had a bad experience with Steinhaufel’s‘s furniture. We have purchased over $7000 worth of furniture from this company in the past. We bought a floor clock and it ran 17 minutes slow for three weeks. They finally picked the clock up to replace it with a different clock the next clock came the pendulum didn’t work. We called and said cancel the deal just pick up the clock and give us our money back. So we go into the store to start the process of our money being returned and they told us we have to pay for a delivery fee. They delivered us junk they picked up junk they delivered more junk. They will not refund our $109.95 delivery charge. With never be back in this store again.

We ultimately didn’t end up purchasing anything that day (went in twice) we went in (at the time were looking for dining room sets/bar stools for our kitchen island and living room furniture; we are building so we were looking to furnish our entire upstairs.) Weston V was SUPER nice and helpful that day and spent about an hour and a half walking around, testing the furniture out and making small talk. He took us in the part of the store ( we were only willing to spend a certain $$ amount on couches because we have kids and a dog so we weren’t looking for something outrageously priced) so he didn’t make us go in the high priced side. He gave us space to sit on things/try them out. Wasn’t there every second which we appreciated because it’s awkward being followed around a store for pieces only WE will be sitting on every day. Westin told us about a special that was going to happen a few days later if we waited to buy. And honestly, we found the same set for our dining room cheaper at Ashley. Steinhafels prices seemed steeper than other furniture stores in our area which is why we went elsewhere for our furniture. But appreciated Westons help, knowledge and looking up dates when items would be in/delivered. I hope he gets recognition for his professionalism.

Shopped for mattress and adjustable mattress. Giant store with plenty of parking. We were greeted immediately by Tom (slow, midweek day during Covid).Wide selection of brans and styles covering a large price spectrum.
