I had one of the best parts/service visits ever due to the friendly and helpful Parts Advisor, Marvin! He went above and beyond to help me replace a 2-Piece Clip for my 2015 Subaru Outback. I had a great experience at Strider Subaru. Brandon Williams assisted me in getting a new Forester. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. I never felt like he was pressuring me to get a car or trying to rush me along. He was honest about various company vehicle strengths and weaknesses, and really helped me make an informed decision. They assisted me in quickly finding the vehicle I wanted which was at another dealership. Our family has purchased more than one Subaru from Strider and the experience has always been a pleasure. Stephen S. is our salesperson, I highly recommend him!We dont live in Ashboro, so we dont use the service department often, but I did bring a car in this week for a warranty repair. The employees in the service department were all friendly, professional and on schedule. They took my car at the appointment time and finished in the time frame I was expecting. Honestly had never even heard of Strider Subaru but they had a 2018 Crosstrek that we found online and were very interested in. We worked with Stephen Snipes. He was delightful, efficient and extremely knowledgeable about the car and Subarus in general. We did most of the info gathering and paperwork remotely to limit our time at the dealership and Stephen was helpful and communicative along the way. Everyone we saw at the dealership was wearing a mask and Stephen assured us that his office area was sanitized between customers. We felt very confident in our experience. We were very impressed and pleased with this car buying experience and would definitely buy from Stephen again!

They have always worked with me to get all of my cars serviced even the ones that are not Subarus. They have helped me with stupid questions and minor problems like a limb that became lodged in the undercarriage of my Outback that we were afraid to pull out ourselves. It was just stuck but we could not see where it was stuck or if it had damaged anything. They did not charge me for removal of the limb, they just put it on the lift and pulled it out. When I drive up to drop a car off they even call me by my name, a very rare thing at most businesses.
We moved here last year and chose Strider because it was the closest dealership to service my 2018 Subaru. We have been there twice. We should have been hesitant to return when we discovered that neither the service tech or manager knew how to reset the service reminders in the car. I looked it up in the manual. Recently I needed an oil change and there was a recall. I went on line to schedule, like I have done before. I received a call from Mike. They dont do that on Saturday. Ok, well then, dont offer it as an option. Furthermore, I work. Its an hour drive. Ill take my business to someone who is more knowledgeable and more flexible.
I always have a great experience with the service dept. They are always very friendly and responsive to what I need. They are respectful of my time when my car is being serviced.
You should know when Striders gets it right and they REALLY got it right yesterday. We own 2 Subaru Outback vehicles and Striders does all our service. I limped in yesterday b/c a warning light popped up while I was out of town. I somehow made it to the Service Center at 5:10 p.m. I knew theyd close soon, but I was worried I might have a flat tire at any time. Michael, the service technician, was called out and w/o any question he jumped in my car and took over. Come to find out...I had multiple nails in 3 of my 4 tires and Michael took care and saved my tires. Id have never made it to the next day w/o possibly something happening leaving me on the side of the road or w/o access to my car. I hope you read all of this post b/c then youd know everyone in the Service Center made certain Id been taken care of...even at the end of their very busy day. Youre thinking about a new car and dealership, then remember this post and know this dealership will ALWAYS take good care of you.
Be careful with the service department at Strider Subaru. I used this dealer service once and will never use them again. I can not recommend Strider Subaru to anyone. They do not explain the work they plan to do and they do the work before asking the customer to approve it. Poorest experience I’ve ever had at any Subaru dealer. Never heard from the dealer as a follow up after the work. Strider Subaru doesn’t care for feedback and they don’t seem to care about finding ways to improve their service.
Had our 2017 Subaru Legacy serviced yesterday. They had a loaner car to use to run errands while we were in town. Quick check in and out. Courteous employees.
Steven was a great salesman two years ago when I purchased my Outback and still talk to him when Im getting my car serviced.
