Driver door of pickup truck replaced and painted. New paint was perfectly blendedwith old paint. Driver outside mirror replaced. Then truck was detailed beautifully. Personnel were very courteous and professional. I would highly recommend Abra for body work, painting, and other vehicle repairs.
ABRA crew is phenomenal!!! Always on time!Recommended to come here for any of your repairs or body damage!
Very courteous and timely service. Philip was very helpful.
I needed to use this company two different times and they have been consistent in delivering high quality car repair craftsmanship. Matthew stayed on top of the project and kept me updated throughout the repair process. Highly recommend them!
ABRA replaced the rear windshield and windshield wiper motor in my 2020 Jeep. So far, it’s flawless, and they even gave my dirty car a quick wash after, which was nice. My only complaint was that I made my appointment 5 days ahead of time, dropped my car off that day and was told it would probably be done within a day, then the very next day was notified the part they needed hadn’t arrived. I just wish it would have been verified that all the parts were on hand prior to drop off, because I had to keep my rental 2 days longer than planned and I’m still waiting to see if insurance will pay for those two extra days. Otherwise, thorough, very professional and friendly, and their prices were appropriate for the services provided.
Great people, great energy! They kept me updated the entire time my car was in their possession! 10/10 recommend and will use them again if need be!
Had a fender bender and Matthew and his team did a quick great job for estimate to insurance. Once approved, then we scheduled and completed the work while I waited...only a couple of hours for a new bumper and taillight.great job...much appreciated for the ease of this process and fix.Bill D
I’ve used Abras services several times and they have always done a great job. Everyone is very nice and professional. They are very helpful. I appreciate being informed about every step along the way. I will continue to use them for future needs.
Always friendly, keeps you informed of what is going on. Makes sure you know your car is in good hands. Excellent work from this business. I thank each and every one who worked on our automobile.
Helpful getting all my stuff out of my car when it was declared totaled.
Awesome place, Phillip was amazing. Had to come here when someone hit our truck, glad we ended up choosing this place. They did an amazing job with everything.
From start to finish all personnel were polite and professional. Kept me Updated daily on progress of the repair. When we picked up our car, my husband, who is extremely detail oriented examed the car closely and was extremely satisfied. Would highly recommend.
The insurance co. recommended this place, worst mistake ever, took a lot longer than I was told, put in broken headlights and didnt put stickers on hood, and left the hood insulation out, and Phillip will not call you back or talk to you on phone,no comunication, hes out to lunch most of the time,if we ever get this worked out I dont think Ill go back
Best body shop in the area- customer service is on point- don’t waste your time any where else. Lucas, the service manager was incredibly helpful. I’ll definitely be back if I ever need them again.
My car has already taken longer than I was told. I was just called and informed they ordered the wrong part, another week without my car. Thanks a lot
Never take your car here- poor management and even worse customer service. Let me explain:I grew up around Auto Body shops, and I know the ins and outs of how theyre run. ABRA quoted $1,200.00 to Statefarm for my little paint and bumper damage (see picture). They listed a lot of parts and repairs that werent necessary, but, hey, Ive seen Auto Body shops do that before- no big deal.I dropped my 2017 WRX off on Monday, and they said, It will take 2 days. So Wednesday rolled around, and I hadnt heard anything from them. I called Terry, and he said, Oh, we have the wrong impact bar. So it should be done Thursday, at the latest Friday. In other words, they ordered the wrong impact bar. I thought, No big deal. Theyve been okay so far, and everyone makes mistakes. Friday rolls around, and I was out of town on business. Yet again, no word from ABRA. I called Terry, and he said, It will be ready by 6:00PM if you want us to leave the keys in it for you to pick up. I thought, Theres no way Im just picking up my car without inspecting the work first. Terry pushed hard for them to just leave the keys. So that was naturally a red flag. On Monday, I went to ABRA, and I saw the final quote they sent to Statefarm; it was for $1,700.00 for a little bumper and paint damage. Then, I saw my car. The paint on the rear bumper didnt match at all (see picture). The Associate (I cant remember his name) tried to tell me it was an exact match to the front bumper; which they clear coated. I asked for the Manager. Matt, the Manager, came out, and he tried to sell me on the fact that plastic bumpers wont exactly match up to metal fenders. And thats absolutely a fact- they wont. However, their work wasnt even close to a similar match (see picture). Matt tried to have a pissing contest with me and seemed to be trying really hard to come off as knowledgable. He kept repeating himself instead of addressing my points. He continued to try to sell me on their work being acceptable, and he finally arrives at a conclusion and said, Well, I cant justify a repaint. I said, What do you mean you cant justify a repaint? It doesnt match, and this is a brand new car. Matt stated, Ill have to call the Statefarm guy and see if theyll pay for it. I thought, To see if theyll pay for it? Its your terrible work thats the problem. I was, and am, working 7 days a week, and I really didnt, and dont, have time for such an inconvenience due to incompetence and terrible service. But, again, its a brand new car, and the work needs to be done correctly. So I went on my way.The Statefarm Guy inspects my car, is outraged by ABRAs terrible work, and he couldnt have agreed with me more. Unlike Matt, the Manager, the Statefarm Guy justified a repaint.Since it was ABRAs mistake, they had to pay for my Enterprise rental car until they fixed my car. When I dropped off my car on Monday, Matt, the Manager, is no where to be found. Meanwhile, Im working 14 hour days this entire week, and I cant adjust my schedule, because of ABRAs mistake. Tuesday afternoon my car is finished, and I was unable to pick it up until Thursday due to my work schedule that I cant change.ABRA closes at 6:00PM. Today, Wednesday, at 4:00PM we took a break from my meeting, and I got a call from Enterprise, and the representative said, Hey, we just wanted to let you know that ABRA said theyre not going to pay for another day of renting the car. I thought, Why is Enterprise calling me and not ABRA. So, I had to leave my meeting to get my car before ABRA closes. That cost me this client. I lost business, because of ABRAs mistake and terrible service.I dropped the rental off at Enterprise and they gave me a ride to ABRA. Again, Matt the Manager, is no where to be found. However, my car paint matches. But the paint is cheap and doesnt even look clear coated. So I had to suddenly leave my meeting (losing that client) because of ABRAs incompetence, and it still isnt fixed correctly.
They are always helpful on getting my car reassured in a timely manner
Fast turnaround. Address I think is for the entire Ford complex so finding it initially was tricky.
This is the only auto body shop Ill ever take my car to ever, They are friendly helpful thoughtful kind and they are taking the best care of my mustang THANKS ABRA YOU PUT MY MIND AT EASE WITH YOU CARE OF MY MUSTANG
I am very pleased with the repair of my vehicle.
Had body work completed after an accident and worst experience ever. Once I got my car back, it guzzled a whole tank of gas in 2 days, took it back they had forgot to clip 1 of 2 clips back on A/C condenser... got car back again. A few days later, the brand new brand new headlight went out and had to take it back... got car back. A week later brand new fog light went out and had to take it back as it wasnt screwed in properly... got car back again... I ended up having to take my car back a total of 8 times for simple issues which equates to extremely poor workman and quality. Would not recommend.
I give them a F, zero stars. They had my vehicle for a 2 day repair, 12 days later they never finished it. Poor customer service, blamed everyone else
Abra handled my claim through Geico. They did an incredible job with customer service including communicating, answering questions, being detailed and just overall taking stress off me from a situation I had never been through. Thanks to Matthew and the team for the amazing work paired with great suggestions on parts that were not easily available.
Top notch repair and service coordinator.
Excellent experience great turn around I appreciate all they did on my new F150 Thank you ABRA
Very professional service and work, quick car return!!!!
Great job
Matthew was great !
Quick and pleasant, I will have more to say after they finish my repair.I got my vehicle back it took them 4 days, to replace the rear bumper cover. They did a superb job. Cant tell there was ever a problem. And the staff there are as nice as anybody I have ever dealt with.
Very professional staff and thorough at inspecting, documenting and helping to get insurance claim filed and processed. THANK YOU TERRY FOR MAKING MY FIANCE FEEL BETTER AFTER HER FIRST MINOR ACCIDENT! YOU ARE A TRUE GENTLEMAN! ABRA, YOU HAVE A SUPERSTAR IN TERRY AND I HOPE YOU ARE AWARE OF IT! Hope we dont need them again, but if we ever need a service such as this, well be back to ABRA!
Great customer service, great job on the bodywork, and the car had been cleaned and polished when I picked it up. Amazing service! Highly recommend!
The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful, but the wait for repairs is simply too long. I have been waiting for over a week to have some fairly simple repairs done. Additionally, my car sat on the side of the road next to the shop where it was dropped off by the tow truck for two days before it was towed into the garage to be examined.
My mother is a geriatric. Often times she is taken advantage of by businesses in the customer service industry. Not Abra! They were fair and honest and didnt charge her to repair her Johnson rod. I try and let Mom handle her affairs on her own and even with monitoring this situation I never felt the need to step in. You see, Mom believes the best in people, which makes her a target. Thats probably why my dad left her. He always used her as a doormat. Then he moved to Long Island and started a whole new family with a golden retriever. He always blamed my Mom for my brothers webbed feet. But you know who didnt blame my mom? Abra! They understood that mistakes happen and handled themselves with class. Thank you.
The associates were great. But the price for damage is insane. They quoted me $1900 on some minimal damage. Everywhere else averaged $800-$1000
My experience at ABRA could not have been better. The gentleman who helped me was wonderful. Car fully repaired in virtually no time, and delivered back to me looking like it just came out of the new car showroom.I would recommend ABRA to anyone needing to have any repair, detailing, or other body work needs done. I wouldnt consider using any other place for body work.
By Far the WORST customer service and the worst workman ship ever. Our repair was suppose to take 10 days and it took close to a month. Upon being told several times via text our vehicle was ready, when we called we got more delays. When we finally went to pick the car up it would not start. We were told by Roger our battery was bad. He stated During the time they had it they had to jump the car every time they needed to move it. NEVER did they call to ask if this was happening prior to the accident. We went to get the car and it was dead. They then had to keep it another day to re program it. I have never heard that a car needs to be re programmed from a dead battery, but never the less we finally drove it home. We have experienced nothing but electrical trouble from this car since getting it back. We have called ABRA and Roger refuses to work on it, thus the guarantee is useless. We put in a new battery, since Roger said we had a bad battery, but sill same trouble. ROGER is rude and states it is not his work, however we NEVER had any trouble before the accident, including a dead battery. We feel we have been lied to by Roger on several issues, and we continue to have the electrical issues. At this point I am working with another person, and we think we have isolated the trouble, and it appears to be a possible short in the door look in the same door which ABRA replaced. This is still unclear, however after 3 days of not using the door lock the car starts every time. We continue to test to search for the short. To be fair we are still investigating this. Basically the worst experience I ever had with a repair shop. Roger is rude, and told us to take a hike as to the guarantee. He stated Its not my work and refuses to do anything.
If I could leave no stars I would! My car was towed to the body shop. (It took 3 days to get there and then they lost it for an entire day) They have now had my car for 6 days and cant seem to get the estimate done or even tell me when it will be done. I have called and asked to speak to the general manager of the dealership, left him a message, asked to speak to someone else in charge, been hung up on 3 times by reception and now they just refuse to answer the phone (7 times in a row). Called Abras corporate headquarters and they dont answer the phone it just goes to voicemail. Is this the type of place you want to do business with?
Have an 2016 subaru legacy. Had damage to driver side back bumper. Took a week to get in. I was told it would be 5 days to finish. They got it done in 2 days. I put my number down for call or text but yet my husband kept getting them. The messages they send isnt much detailed but At least helps. The employees was very friendly. You cant tell anyone touched my car. Much love. I believe they washad and vaccumed my car as well.
This is about the fourth time that Ive been down there and my headlights are still not right
Awesome
Abra is one of the best body shops in Asheville. They do fantastic work and I would highly recommend them. They are very honest people and provide excellent customer service. My repair was handled in a very professional way and my car was ready when promised.
After getting several quotes and reading tons of online reviews, I decided to have the folks at Abra replace the hinges on my driver side door. Quality was my #1 concern followed by price because I was paying for it out of pocket. My door now opens and closes like it is brand new! No more sagging door to fight with on my steep driveway. The customer service was fantastic! They work so efficiently that I was able to wait in their nice, clean lobby while they did the work. It took about 50 minutes from the time I arrived until the time I left.I had taken my last car to a different auto body shop in town to have the driver side mirror replaced and the guy that replaced my mirror broke the mirrors control mechanism, snapped off the pieces that hold the interior door on to the body, and then blamed it on planned obsolescence and cheap plastic parts. I was devastated and have been afraid of trusting another auto body shop with my vehicles since.I highly recommend Abra Auto Body in Asheville to anyone that needs minor or major auto body work done and will definitely used them again.
I was given an estimate for my vehicle that was acceptable to my insurance company at no time did they tell me that I might never be able to pick my vehicle back up and that it would need to be sent to the salvage yard. Im out a vehicle, I know no one in the area and am now paying for a rental. My car was at least drivable until I found a replacement. Ive been driving the vehicle for 4 weeks until they could get me an appointment, now my car is suddenly totaled. This is completely unacceptable. My initial estimate came from an employee who doesnt seem to work there anymore. I would not recommend this company.
I have called four times in the past week trying to get information on parts for my car. My inspection is about to expire so its important I get my car fixed to pass inspection, but I havent heard back after a week of trying. I am getting very frustrated with the customer service.
One employee was not wearing his mask properly inside and not at all outside while working with a customer in close quarters.
Matt and his team offer incredible customer service and produce a product that only true automotive craftsman and produce! I cant say enough good things about my experience and the results. Dont take your car anywhere else in Asheville!
Was told by my insurance to bring my car here. Was told there was a after hours drop box. When I got there on 9/16.2018 at 8.00 pm was driving around building looking for the drop box. I found a bay door open so I calles and and hit my horn a few times. No one was there. So I called Asheville police department to report that bay doors were open and no one was there. I was told by the police to wait until a police officer got there. 45 minutes later the police came and looked around to see if anyone was there. No one was there. Someone forgot to close the door. The police closed the bay door . I will not be dropping off my car here. There is no tell how long that bay door had been open and anyone could have walked in and just taken one of the cars in the shop. 2hours 45 minutes not drop a car off and wait for police. Update. Called the shop on Monday to let someone know what happened over the weekend. I was told we know. No thank you for taking time out of my day waiting for the police to come and lock the place up. All I can say is its a good job I am HONEST. I could have had a black mustang GT or a black BMW X5.
Probably the most professional body shop experience I have ever had. My customer service rep was Nick Caminiti and he was helpful and honest about the time it would take for repairs. He also went to bat for me against the insurance company to put only factory OEM parts back on my car. Also worth noting is the technician working on my vehicle found some cash in my car and immediately turned it in to the manager. Needless to say he got that money back as a tip. I would trust this company with any vehicle. They stay backed up and for some this would be a complaint but for me it is a mark in their favor. No matter what I need body work for in the future I will only be using this Abra. The work done was seamless and the paint matches perfectly.
My wife and I had a severe single car accident on Thanksgiving Day 2014. Our Toyota Highlander sustained over $11,000 in damage. Abra Auto Body was one of the shops recommended by my insurance carrier. I was impressed by their webpage, and equally impressed when I took the car in. The damage was extensive, as mentioned, and the repairs took several weeks. However, it was completed a full week earlier than originally promised and the result was excellent, plus the workmanship is warrantied for as long as I own the car. It was like getting a brand new vehicle. I cant imagine having a better experience anyplace else.
USAA Certified. Always professional, very polite, and exceptional service! They take extraordinary pride in the quality of their workmanship!
My insurance company recommended this place and So far, I’m absolutely furious with my experience with Abra. I was in a minor collision on November 18th. (Rear ended someone) there was some damage to my front bumper, radiator and AC compressor. I drove the car for two weeks before being able to get in for the appointment at Abra on December 4th. My check engine light never went on, the car wasn’t leaking any fluids, it was safe enough to drive. The damage was quoted at $1,800, plus labor, which came out to about $3,200. I was told it would take one week to fix and we would be updated each step of the way. It’s now been over 3 weeks, I have not received a single call from Abra and have been Repeatedly calling them to try to get ahold of someone to try to get answers about the status of my car. They said they needed to replace the frame rails of my car, and keep giving me the run around, and the damages are up to $8,000 now. (I only owe 10k on the car! (Seriously? It was a very minor accident!) I was told to call the 24th for an update, Christmas Eve, which I had my husband do. He has called 3 times and of course the mechanic handling the work isn’t even in today, even though he TOLD us to call today. We have a baby due in less than a week, which I have stressed repeatedly to the staff. I have no hopes of getting my car back in time for our delivery. I’m not a mechanic, maybe the damage was “extensive” and all this was “necessary”, but I feel like our experience with this shop has been totally shady, greedy and had no communication on their part whatsoever, whithout us constantly begging for status updates. I Will update once we finally get our car back, which we have NO clue when that might be.
I recently had my Jeep Patriot repaired at ABRA! They did an excellent job, it was done in a timely manner and not to mention it looks fantastic, the customer service was great and I would recommend to anyone needing any body work to go here!
Excellent
I had my accident back in May 2017. The repairs took longer than the 30 days the insurance company would pay for the rental car. When I arrived for the first repair, the replacement bumper was bent. They had damaged my replacement bumper installing it on the car. I had to turn in my rental car and drive my middle-of-repairs car. ABRA only offered to pay for the rental car if I picked up the car in that condition. We were told the vehicle would be ready/part arrival on certain dates. When dates were passed, we were not given a followup call. Promised repairs were not satisfactory and some were not even taken care of. Employees only once walked out with me to inspect the car. Many times we had to call their corporate office or our insurance company to get the ball rolling. We were told that Ford owned ABRA and Ford technicians would be fixing the car. The first repair visit had a damaged bumper with pieces of tape on my wheel and windshield. Second repair work was to replace with OEM bumper and fixing the paint on the side. The OEM bumper was also placed on car incorrectly. ABRA touched up paint with non-matching white paint and did not smooth it out as promised. No one came out with me to inspect the car. OEM bumper was warped in the center. We later found out from their corporate that it was a franchise. ABRA as a whole was not related to Ford in any way. After fighting with the insurance company ABRA agreed to try to make it right. Third repair visit the bumper was not warped. Bumper and fender was not placed on vehicle correctly; there was no smooth connection like before. My antenna was still taped to the top of my car with blue tape. I went back in asked for a manager. The manager shrugged me off and said that we werent pleased with any repairs they had attempted. Well, of course not it had three to three and a half months and the car wasnt repaired. I let him know we would take the car somewhere else and I would mail him a bill. Insurance adjuster looked at car and was highly unsatisfied at ABRAs work. One tail light had already fell that afternoon when we left ABRA. We had documentation of calls, promises made by ABRA, and pictures for each repair. We took it to another repair shop and they had my car fixed with additional requested work all within two days. ABRA paid for my rental car for the two visits, but they failed to complete the repair. We would not recommend anyone to visit ABRA. Just like the reviews down below we had issues with paint quality and color. If their headquarters are dissatisfied in their workmanship and quality of management that should tell you something.
Very informative, made me feel at ease about my car getting fixed. Thank you Shawn!!
