This is the best place I have ever been for an oil change. They were very professional, courteous and worked diligently. They did not try to scam me and say I needed something I didnt. They knew my car really well. They were so nice. This is where I will go from now on.

My son recommended this business to do the oil change on my Nissan Rogue 1, before my daughter & I drive back to Montana. They changed the oil & the service was fast & the techs were friendly. One of the guys noticed that my rear brakes were about shot. They gave me an estimate (no pushing involved to talk me into it) . We got on our phones & compared prices. Theirs was in the ballpark, so we made an appointment for the next morning. They greeted us when we drove up the next morning. Again, friendly & courteous. When they finished, they left the car running for us so we wouldnt have to get into a hot car.If we lived in Asheville, we would absolutely utilize this business!! Thank you for keeping my daughter & I safe for our long drive back to Montana!!

Do not go to this shop, and do not let them touch your car!A couple days ago a friend brought me her SUV to have the brake pads replaced and to check out an odd noise coming from the engine. Less than 1k miles ago she had brought it into this shop to get the oil changed. They changed the oil and replaced the air filter, they also advised her that she was in “dire need” of a brake job. I check out the SUV and immediately find almost no oil in the motor, the new air filter ruined, and her brakes in more than great condition. The noise she was hearing we’re the hydraulic cam tensioners losing pressure and the cam chain slapping the inside of the motor from lack of oil, luckily we were able to catch this in time before any major damage occurred. Oil was leaking from the oil filter housing at the bottom of the motor, an oil sealing o-ring was missing from the filter housing causing oil to leak out. I am confident the technician who did this knew the filter housing was leaking, as it had been incredibly over-tightened in an attempt to stop the oil leak. Not only that, but an incorrect oil filter had been used, it was larger than the correct filter which caused it to be twisted and smashed as it was installed into the motor. The air filter had been installed upside down and backwards which made it not fit into the airbox. The technician smashed the filter trying to make it fit, and ended up leaving the airbox half open because it wouldnt close. The SUV’s front brakes had more than 90% pad life, the rear had 70% and the rotors we’re in excellent condition, absolutely no need for a brake job. The technician lied to her about the brakes needing to be done, they showed her an indication gauge claiming to display less than 10% pad life left on both the front and rear. I am confident if she had agreed to let this shop “fix” her brakes, they would have billed her for the job and not even touched them.The two simple maintenance jobs this shop performed we’re executed unbelievably poorly. This shop lied and tried to steal from an innocent mother, and they did all this while charging her too much for the “work” that was done.Please please do not let this shop damage your car, there are plenty of honest and reputable independent mechanics that will charge half of what this shop will charge to do a job 100x better.(the photos I have are only of the missing o-ring and squished oil filter, unfortunately I was unable to get a picture of the smashed air filter)

I went in for an oil change, it was fast and they had excellent customer service. They explain to you everything you need to know about your cars current shape and if it needs any maintainenace or replacements. They dont push you to buy anything on spot.

Fast helpful and Professional. I was able to quickly get an oil change and they did the full inspection at the same time, all points at the same time. They were friendly and I was in and out in about 15 minutes.

Told they wouldnt pass my car for inspection because of a major leak in the power steering and the back brakes. Gave me an estimate on replacing the hoses and the back brakes. Told throughout they were going to do both. I asked for a copy of the work they planned to do with the estimate, some reason they were unable to give me that. They ended up just fixing the power steering and not the brakes, charged me the estimate. Passed inspection, but Im sure I could have gone somewhere else and passed without fixing the power steering (the leak wasnt that bad). Only reason why I went ahead with things is because of the brakes. They seemed friendly, but felt like I got ripped off and they werent honest with me, wont be going back.

Oil change and a battery 350+..only happened to have the most expensive oil available...I asked them to discuss with me about changing out my headlights it never got done and they wanted to charge me more for a tire rotation because I had a truck. four tires is four tires shouldnt be a difference. They never explained any of the battery warranty or oil mileage to me just expected me to pay the bill when done with no explanation. And I found out at the end they charged me an extra $35 for more oil that was not included in their package which also was not explained to me

Came in for inspection and saw them starting to work on my front brakes and oil change. Glad I went out there to stop them. Never going back to this shady place.

Would only give 2 stars just because at least the oil change was in a timely manner. They weren’t honest. They charged us for something they didn’t even say they were gonna do and that wasn’t even needed. Definitely felt like they were in it for the money rather than customer satisfaction.

To be honest I thought I pulled into the valvoline instant oil change. When I realized it was the speed dee I said oh well...whats the difference. Well let me tell you....I usually always go to nissan or ntb to get my oil changed but I didnt have alot of time which is why I was going to use valvoline. First of all they werent sure what oil went in my car and had to ask...that was the first time a mechanic ever had to ask me that. Then they pull out the prices. The base synthetic oil change with tax was 96 dollars. Ive had my car for 6 years and its that was the most Ive ever spent for an oil change. Nissan charges me 70.and ntb always has deals for 49.99 for better oil with basically all the same things they checked and toped off plus a tire rotation. To get the same oil they use at ntb or nissan was the next level that was 100 before taxes. Yet, again I was like oh well Im here....I have the money so lets just do it. It was pretty fast Ill give them that probably 15 minutes. I get in my car and drive away and notice my car is louder than before...and it did a half shudder a few times while driving. Now I had asked them to add a engine cleaner to my oil change. So I thought...MAYBE....it was that. The next day same thing was happening. So I looked under the hood only to immediately see that my air intake hose wasnt connected right...at all. It wasnt snapped on, there was about a 1/4 to a 1/2 inch gap at the top. Also the hose was resting on top of the connecting hose at the base wasnt even over and connected to it...a good inch ...inch and a half gap at base. Soo I had to put it back on properly. I get they are trying to get people in and out...but for a hundred dollars....all my stuff better be connected right. Oh yes...It was a hundred because they charged me labor to put the quart of engine cleaner in. Even tho that was a quart less on oil. Safe to say I wont be going back.

Worst oil change ever. I pulled up, asked for an oil change and to add windshield wiper fluid. Thats all. I drive a cadillac so I expected them to try and up sale me....which they did. I said no thanks....just the oil change and wiper fluid please. 45 long minutes I pay the $57.00 for service. I leave only to find out that they gave me the non-synthetic oil but didnt reset the oil light meter and didnt add a drop of washer fluid. I checked my receipt and it clearly states that they added washer fluid and reset the oil light. Buyer beware. I wont be back!

Had a new catalytic converter installed in my Jeep Compass a while back (almost $1000) A few days later, the same issue started happening again, so I took it back and was told that the brand new part they put on had a factory flaw and so they would replace it for free. I was super thankful and felt really appreciative. I ended up having to give the car away to a family member to salvage parts not long after because the same issue started again and I just needed a reliable car to get back and forth to school. My family member, who is also a mechanic, removed the catalytic converter in his shop and told me that it was never actually changed. The catalytic converter he found was the exact same one that the car was manufactured with. He cut it open and showed me how clogged it was. I paid for and expensive job (parts included) that was never actually done

They got me in and out with an oil change and a state inspection with less than an hour until they closed. Most of the staff wore masks when they were around you except one but the place was covid safe otherwise. They were more expensive than I expected because of the needed wipers but I did buy cheap ones last time that didnt last and these rainx ones are working super great. That was an added expense I didnt expect but I needed it. I need new breaks which they told me but let me price out so I didnt have to take their price and I could quote around which I appreciated cause I already need tires too. Overall great. Ill be back.

I tried Mr.Tire, Meinicke and Firestone. Everyone was full. I Was looking for a Walmart and saw this Speedee Oil Change & Auto Service. Pulled in and followed the arrows to the bay doors. An older gentleman with whiskers greated me and we started talking like old friends. I was hoping for a wheel alignment and oil change I said while the polite conversation and laughs permitted. I bet youre booked. He said no sir, youre next matter of fact. I thank God glancing upward. Whiskers and I continued our conversation as he was jotting down information. After a few minutes I walked toward the waiting room he had pointed out to me at the beginning. I walked in to a pleasant smell and nice lady behind the counter. She is just as nice and funny as whiskers. The bathroom in this place looks like it could be in a mansion. 10/10 for this Speedee off of Hendersonville Rd. God is good all the time.

In January 2020 I went in for a yearly inspection. I expected to be in and out. Having gone in with no issues on my car. However, a man came in and called my name saying he had bad news. He told me that my radiator was cracked, and coolant was leaking out. I asked to see it. Mind you its a wet January morning. He shows me a tiny puddle on the frame of the car, but says I cant see the crack in the radiator from where I stood, but he insisted its there. Its a 800.00 fix. He said it wasnt safe to drive, and that I need to fix it right now!! I told him I didnt have 800.00. He is breathing down my neck to open a credit card though the company right then and there. I felt a lot of pressure about RIGHT NOW! DONT WALK AWAY!! While calling my husband, and bank, he stood close by as to listen, and reply to my private conversations. It was super shady business. Well, long story short. Its now July and I have never seen coolant leaking nor have had a problem. While I was in the waiting room they lost another costumers keys. The front desk lady was not nice to her. Made her feel like it was her fault. When it was definitely the workers that lost them. When I got into my car someone dropped a tool in there and I had to return it. I had gone there months before to get the motor replaced on my windshield wiper. It surprisingly cost me $200.00. I only went back because my husband thought they were respectable. But that may only be the case if your a man. We will never go back, and Im here to warn you now especially woman do not do there.

These folks know what theyre doing and go above and beyond to help their customers. Ive been taking my vehicle there exclusively for years. They are up front and honest about what needs to be done and they stand behind their work. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone. As a mother of 2 small children, I take safety very seriously. I wouldnt trust their lives to any other mechanics in this city!

Great experience with the inspection on a truck Ive owned for almost 18 years. Poor experience with administration in the front office. Upon hearing I was from Henderson county, I was told that inspection was much cheaper. Then the front office employee leaned over the counter and said it would be another $10 for tint. I explained that there is no tint on the truck. The back glass and extended cab glass is a darker tempered glass from the factory but not tinted with any after market film or any film at all for that matter. Furthermore, the driver and passenger glass has zero tint at all. After trying to explain this, the employee, condescendingly, attempted to correct me and tell me that my front windows are, indeed, tinted. When the tech brought the passed inspection report back stating PASS, the employee looked at me and told me that I got away with it. I attempted to explain that the glass has no tint, but the employee did not seem to care what I had to say and was dismissive. The technician confirmed that, in fact, there is zero tint on my vehicles driver and passenger windows. I havent been called a liar to my face since I was a small child, but I deserved it then. Its a horrible feeling. This case seems to be an example of a nickel and dime operation looking to charge for anything and everything. I truly hope this is not the case at this place. Theyve always been great with my motorcycle, but I think Ill stick to the dealership for the rest of my vehicles.

I went here and they changed the oil and did not put a new crush washer on the drain plug. It dripped all over the driveway over the course of two months. I took it to Subaru and they explained how Speedee failed to meet manufacturer guidelines with the crush washer. I will not go back.

Great prices on Tires. And they had a road hazard program. Awesome don’t have to worry about my tires for three years now. Anything happens I’m covered.

Been going to this shop for 5 years. They have fixed a lot of stuff on my 10 year truck. Got a new transmission last week and way cheaper and quicker than the estimate from the transmission shop down the street. Do yourself a favor and don’t take you vehicle anywhere but Speedee.

Charged me over a $100 for a basic oil change and windshield wipers also tried to charge me $900 for a new radiator. Went to 3 different shops in town to see if there was a leak and no one could find one. When I askedthem to not do my radiator they gave me nasty looks. They were really nice to begin with seemed very friendly but ended up being a total scam.... To top it all off they did not even secure my hood on my Jeep Wrangler when they were done.

My Ford F-150 blew out a spark plug the other day. So I brought it in to SpeeDee Oil Change. They identified the issue by sound, which gave me a lot of confidence that they knew what they were doing. The job turned out to be quite a bit more complicated than initially assumed, but they stayed true to their original quote and I feel like they took very good care of me and my truck. Every person that I talked to at this location was a very good person, and it seems like their technicians are above-average in skill. I really like SpeeDee! Their bathroom was so clean!

Jessie greeted us like a patient champ.... She explained each and every step of the process and made us feel welcomed.... Then the bad news... A valve cover gasket needs to be replaced... The sign that indicates that it needs to be replaced Im not totally convinced.... However I feel like I can trust these guys so I put my deposit down and will have the work done.... I would highly recommend these guys..... Even the young Lady at the check out was most excellent....

DO NOT GO to this establishment. I had an emergency situation with my vehicle. Needed some fluids topped off/changed and there was an oil leak. $800 later I had my fluids topped off and an oil leak that was NOT fixed. The man with all the tattoos on his arm said it needed a new “tube” So not only did he fail to change the tube probably because I am literally buying a new one now BUT it was also the oil gasket/oil pan that was leaking horribly. I don’t know much about cars but I felt taken advantage of and they couldn’t even fix my vehicle. Plus when I was on the phone with the man fixing my car he was a super aggressive. Plus after the car was fixed there was no confirmation or engagement from the mechanic. So thanks speedee oil for making me more broke and being super rude to people.

Best customer service anywhere. Jess took great care of me and my car. I blew the engine in my car by it overheating and driving till it shut off and would not start back. Jess got me a used engine at a great price and had me back on the road in a couple of days. My car now runs like it did when it was new. Most honest and trustworthy shop in WNC. And a side note they have the nicest bathroom I have ever seen

I havent been to speedee in a couple of years and I remember why. The service feels slower than at most other places and the prices higher. I do appreciate how they have prices posted and I feel like they did a good job with my oil change and inspection. To be fair, I was there probably at a busier time of day. I just feel like other garages move a lot faster.

I started bringing my vehicle to the Spee Dee team 5 years ago. Theyve always been efficient and straight up honest about issues with my Truck. I realized they can do more than just oil changes. Theyve replaced my radiator and AC unit and other services I used to have the dealer do for twice the price. Ive since started having my wife bring hers there and my mom and mother-in-law as well. Were the type of family that drives our vehicles for a long time so its been a great fit.

Great service. They let me know my window tinting was too dark before inspecting without charging me. They recommended a great inexpensive place to have it removed. I also heard other employees recommending and giving great advice to another customer. Finally, this may sound weird, but their bathroom was spotless, smelled nice and beautiful. This is something you never see at a mechanics shop.

When I took my Toyota Camry in they did change out transmission fluid and filter as asked and did a good job. While there some comments about other customers was a turn off wondering what that would say about me when I left. I had other work the next day that needed done, and work was done good but my car ended up with a big scratch on front driver side fender from where they either left it parked when work was done or from moving in in or out of garage. Work was good though.

Everyone is very nice. Nicest bunch of people you will find. They do it all and they do it fast. The price is less than anywhere in Asheville.

My wife and I got towed here when our short school bus would not start. We didn’t get there until about 5 pm and they closed at 6 so we were nervous we would not get seen that day. Willis and his guys not only diagnosed the problem but changed the starter that night and got us back on the road. They had no probable staying 10 minutes late to make sure it got done. Would highly recommend this service site to anyone needing work done.

Affordable tune up prices. They also have competent mechanics who wont mess up your car. Their prices however are a little steep for any other mechanical work. But you get what you pay for and the quality proves that.

Went in for an oil change, inspection, and a recharge of Freon for the AC. They said that the AC wouldnt hold Freon and that I needed a new compressor. They quoted a price that was a little high so I took it to my usual mechanic and told him I thought I needed a new compressor. Turns out all it needed was to be recharged with Freon. Saved myself $900. Needless to say I will not be back.

Willis & the crew at SpeeDee are super! Had a flat tire last Friday, and took it to them at 4:30 pm. There were able to fix my flat, replace the 2 back tires that were really worn down, and give me an alignment well before they closed at 6 pm. Ill be recommending them to my friends and clients in South Asheville!

First off, these people tried to get me to purchase the most expensive oil to fit my car’s warranty; I don’t even have a warranty on my used car. The guy I interacted with was very rude...fast forward exactly one month, my car started making an awful rattling noise and cut off in the middle of the highway!! Had it towed to the Subaru dealership and they determined that whoever did the last oil change put gear oil in the transmission!!! Transmission was ruined and would cost $7700 to replace!! Luckily insurance helped A LOT or I would be without a car! I will be and have already been spreading the word to everyone I meet to NEVER go to Spee Dee! Unprofessional and untrustworthy!

25.00 for a 7.00 air filter????? Won’t be back! As soon as he pulled my car in the bay he gets out of the car and says my catalytic was gone. Then he opened the hood and said I need a valve cover gasket. Then he said I needed new spark plug wires. Then the guy who drained the oil said my oil had metal particles in it. I’ve changed the oil myself many times for my daughter but was on vacation here and have never seen metal in the oil. I’m also a heavy truck driver and maintain my equipment myself. Coming from Miami which has the worst reputation for getting ripped off in any trade. This business is in the business of doing unnecessary repairs and is a mirror image of Miami. No up front pricing, no honesty, unqualified mechanics and gets as much as they can out of a simple oil change. This experience left a bad image on the beautiful state of North Carolina and it’s wonderful people here. If I got a full refund it would not change the fact that a business in this beautiful state is doing business by ripping off a visitor there for a simple oil change.

Found SpeeDee a couple years ago because they have the best price for synthetic oil changes. Weve continued to use them since then for oil changes and state inspections, always impressed with both their professionalism and a job well done every time. Recently started having an issue with one of our cars so I stopped in to perhaps get a quote on repairs. They pinpointed the problem immediately and were able to fix it just as fast. It wasnt until I left that I realized how much I appreciate and trust their staff. Its hard to find such personalized service. Happy to leave a 5 star review for SpeeDee.

SpeeDee is awesome!! Anytime I have my vehicle serviced the owner Willis takes time to come speak to me. He is always very personable. The shop is always clean and pleasant. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. I actually live much closer to several other oil change shops, but choose to drive a little further for the great service. I have had my oil changed at SpeeDee many times. I have also purchased tires and had other work done to my vehicle. I have always been very satisfied.

Great place to get a oil change. Great people that checks your vehicle out and will tell you if a problem is found. They have a mechanic on duty to fix the problem if needed. Clean comfortable waiting room with magazines. All around nice place to get a Oil Change at a reasonable price. Did I mention they have nice coupons on their website to help out even more with the prices.
