I had never been to a Firestone before today and I am so glad that its on my radar now. These guys were insanely helpful and kind, I received the best customer service I have EVER gotten from an auto care place. I was specifically helped by Melody and I cannot thank her enough. She *gets* it and held my hand through the whole thing. You guys are the best!
I had to wait over two hours for my oil change. They did a fine job and were nice but it was a long time to wait while 3 guys were just talking for 45 minutes… if they told me it was going to be this long I would have gone home and just come back to pick up my car

Firestone always does a great job every time I come in for a service. Melody in the front always takes care of my car. They are always very nice and greet me with a smile. I would not dream of taking my car anywhere else for service.
Visiting from out of town and decided a brake job was due before return home. Work was done as expected in the time frame promised while I waited. I requested a visual inspection of suspension as well to check for leaking seals on struts to which none were found. Honest answer appreciated.
Trusted this location up until the time they started lying and not communicating for days, they had my vehicle for three days before ordering a part. I was also quoted $300.00 to replace the windshield washer fluid reservoir because a bad sensor connected to the reservoir could not be found. I found the part at an auto parts store for $14.00 after refusing the service. Do your homework before trusting this location. They may have been trustworthy in the past, but our current predicament has made them undependable.
We are from out of town and my car happened to break down, luckily we knew it had warranty under firestone. We called before the closed and where told to bring it in the morning and it would be looked at right away. We called again in the morning and where greeted very abruptly and that they wouldnt have time bc they have to much going on. After scheduling a new hotel and having to find a rental they called us that afternoon to say it was done. Im grateful that the car was fixed but I could have saved $500 plus if they had communicated with me on the process of the vehicle.
Its probably normally fine. I needed service on a Sunday, though (we were leaving town the next day), and essentially no one was available. They just do oil changes and tire stuff on Sundays, I guess.
I dont know why I keep giving these idiots chances. This time I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation last week. Today and less than an hour before my appointment time, they called and wanted to reschedule due to them being behind from a lack of technians. Due to my vehicle being a fleet truck I am limited on who I can take it to therefore I must carefully plan these things around my work schedule. Their incompetence will never again be my problem. Going to Mr. Tire right up the road from now on.

Well: one time was 5 stars-the gentleman allowed us to take a couple of their discarded tires that are destined for recycling or wherever-for our yard swing and garden border- today 3 stars- was told: they dont sell those tires! So-4 star averaged
I have been to this fire stone several times with mixed reviews about service but today was the absolute worst and I felt I needed to share the experience. I had a 10 o’clock appointment of which I arrived on time and at 10:20 my car was still sitting outside. I approach the check in staff, Jim, and he couldn’t have been more flippant or uncaring about my inquiry. I waited another 15 minutes and went to a different check-in technician, John, who was thoughtful and listen to me and said he would try to shuffle things around. They both said that a truck could come in and all the employees were now unloading the truck which was putting things on a delay. I also noticed that there was a car in front of my car for service but no one else in the waiting room. When I approached John and I asked him if I had an appointment why was my car behind another car and it had already been an hour? He said they take them in the order in which they arrive to which I shared with him then what is an appointment for if someone drops off the car and their car is servicedbefore mine? He had no answer but they promptly move my car to the front of the line and service was provided. An hour and a half later I was on the road. Jim, the check in technician, checked me out with his continued uncaring attitude. I thanked John for listening and helping me through the process. My review is less than stellar and if you’re in a rush this may not be the place for you. Additionally the squeaky wheel gets the attention so don’t sit long if things aren’t happening with your vehicle.
Good overall, though they sometimes miss things even from the million point inspection. Convenient, scheduling is good, theyre a busy shop. Once in a bay,, service is swift.

As the only place in town whose mechanic didn’t just quit, who will actually work on an older vehicle, troubleshoot complex problems, have persons of color and females on staff, get work done in a timely manner, call me preemptively with clear and honest information, I’m all about this spot.
I have never had such bad service before in my life with getting work done on a car. And I used to have a junker car that needed service on it all the time. I just tried to have my perfectly working car get a state inspection. Not knowing that I had two lights out. Was then told it would be an extra $60 to get just two light bulbs replaced. After already playing $30 for the inspection. I know good and well those two light bulbs are not $60. I have now been to Advanced Auto Zone and got four bulbs so I can replace the bulbs that are out on both sides. And I only spent $40. Firestone is a rip off and still charged $23 for them to fail my inspection. Will never be going back and will tell other people to not go there. Just because I am a women does not mean I dont know how to fix a basic problem. They were trying to take advantage.
Took my car to Firestone on Tunnel Road for a routine oil change on April 5, 2021. Firestone *FORGOT* to put oil back in the car and BLEW OUT MY ENGINE.Several years ago that same Firestone forgot to put coolant in my previous car and stranded me in Atlanta.They are claiming I must have tampered with the oil because its impossible they forgot to put any in. BS. I called them 11 minutes after I left with the car to report weird noises but they didnt answer, which, of course, I can prove.The Firestone Tunnel manager, Jim, screamed and threatened me on the phone when I finally got through to him and report they blew up my engine.Firestone/Bridgestones (a multinational corporation) insurance company is in-house and run by 2 rednecks in Nashville whose sole job it is to deny valid claims.Five months later and theyve failed to respond to my attorney and are going to drag this out as long as possible.$10,000 NIGHTMARE.Do yourselves a huge favor and take your vehicles somewhere else. There are far less expensive and much safer options in Asheville.
Would give a zero if I could! I came in for a simple inspection and it took over an hour and a half before they called my name. They told me that I wasn’t going to pass inspection if I didn’t get a new tire on my front passenger side. This was surprising to be because I literally got all 4 new tires less than 6 months ago. I’m angry because they are trying to get as much money out of me as possible. Don’t come here. Not worth the wait and their work is garbage.

This business is the perfect example of why big business is failing all over the US. The customer service is not there. What happened to the days when you consistently gave your money to a business and they treated you as if they wanted to keep you around.? Is that over? Really? I’m sad to say this was not my experience at the Tunnel Road location today.
I have been going to Firestone for years in multiple city’s I have lived in! Since moving to Asheville 10 years ago my husband and I have had multiple cars in for visits and consistently continue to have the best experience and customer service @ the Tunnel rd Firestone location. Edie Is the man....he has been exceptional every time we have a issue with one of our cars, very knowledgeable and honest. Mike is also super helpful! Appreciate you all. Awesome location. I have gotten to know them pretty well over the past few months (thanks to owning the worlds sourest lemon) and they always try and get me the best deal and take the time to help me really understand what the problem is. Ive learned so much about cars since I started coming here.I have been to many mechanics who overcharge you/make up problems that arent there (hell, Ive even been to one that totals cars then dodges the insurance company!) and this place is nothing like them. They saved me so much money when I had to replace my battery-- I expected it to be twice what I paid-- brand new too. Now that Ive finally given up on my POS car, they are helping me find someone to buy it for parts (lord knows its got a ton of new ones.) My grandpa is super stubborn and picky and he swears by their work. Super honest folk, definitely going to keep coming back.
Time Wasters: don’t know why I decided to trust Firestone again but I NEEDED a same day Oil Change, and they said they could. After four hours of waiting they said it couldn’t be done till the next day. My business is going elsewhere.
Outrageous prices went in for a emergency to get my starter fixed it was well over 500 nearly 600 for the repair. Only reason I didn’t give them 1 star is they got it done rather quick. Also bought one tire from them 6 months ago. 149$! For a basic 225 17” tire. The sidewalks wore out quick even with warranty they wouldn’t cover it! Black mountain auto charged me with labor and double the miles warranty only 196$ for both front tires and wasn’t rude or disrespectful like firestone. Go to black mountain automotive....
Ive been here a few times and this place is great. The customer service is top notch. Yes, they are busy and sometimes you have to schedule an appointment. They stand behind their work and make sure they take good care of me.
Noticed my LF tire was flow on air, quick check of tread revealed that I had a nail in my tire. Went in and Eddie was straight with me and I was honest and told him he didnt need to do a spot check. I explained I worked at a shop and take care of maintenance. They were like oh yeah, no worries. Didnt pressure me or anyone I overheard interaction with.Its nice to be able to come to a chain and get treated right. This is a one of the good ones experience.Thanks again guys.
I cannot say enough good things about this Firestone. I have brought my cars here for at least 7 years and every time I am treated with respect. They always let me know what is wrong and how much it will cost. This past experience far exceeded my expectations. Josh was amazing in how well he took care of me and the car and I will continue to go back. Best Firestone ever!!
I had been impressed with the quality of service at this facility up until recently. I received a tire replacement from them, during which I had not been recommended to have my wheels aligned. I experienced symptoms of poor alignment immediately after. Upon my most recent visit, I was informed my wheels were out of alignment. I accepted the suggested maintenance. However, I did voice that I was a bit upset that I was not suggested to have this maintenance done at my last visit two months prior. The staff then seemed to dismiss me and continued to only communicate the the fact that I was wrong. I do not mind being wrong or paying for neccisary maintenance on my car. But I do appreciate feeling as though Im being heard and respected. I will not return here again.

Stopped by around 4 PM Saturday afternoon for oil change and inspection. Jim told me to bring vehicle back on Sunday since they closed at 5 PM, and they would work me in. Agreed to also allow them to rotate tires and left vehicle with Jim on Sunday for four hours and upon return was told couldnt get to it until Monday so I walked about 3.5 miles home. Left it with the understanding that I would pick it up at 9:30 AM Monday. Nope...John said not ready as found nail in tire too near wall to be safely repaired so it wouldnt pass inspection. John promised to have it ready sometime Monday. So I didnt wait after my experience on Sunday, but walked about 3.5 miles in opposite direction to work. A sweaty mess, I was almost to work when received call at 10:50 AM telling me my vehicle was ready. Wish I had made an appointment or that they had a courtesy service to take stranded customers to work or home.

This location was the only place on a Saturday afternoon willing to do a simple oil change. They checked the whole car, and were very thorough. Gave me the extra attention to make me feel like a valued customer. Great prices with online coupons. I recommend this place highly.

These guys are polite and knowledgeable, the waiting room is comfy and they try to accommodate. However, I am sitting in the waiting room (again) became I went in to get a tire replaced due to a leak, AND THEY REPLACED THE WRONG TIRES.... they were willing to fix the problem without hassle and were more than understanding, but before you leave make sure what you requested to have done, was a actually done.
So far so good at this location. Very professional and not out to rip off the female who comes in alone. I do recommend them.

Zero stars if I could!! I’ve come here before and it has been good! I have all my tires through firestone. Unfortunately this time wasn’t. They suggested me to go to a welder to fix my bent wheel. Took the wheel to welder and he fixed it. Unfortunately, the tires deflated after a couple hours. Brought it back to firestone to be inspected and see if maybe something else could be wrong. They dismiss that idea completely and said I should just get a new wheel because “welders never do a good job.” why would they suggest that from the start then? I’d would’ve been happy to have my wheel replaced with a new one at the right place. They charged me twice for alignment on the same week after saying to bring back the wheel and we’ll mount it free of charge. Went back to welder, he inspected the tire and found a nail which they patched and it was a simple fix! OBVIOUSLY THE WELDER DID A WAY BETTER JOB THAN THEY DID!! And he doesn’t even specialize in tires. The welder was amazing and nice, unlike firestone clerks. I had to drive with a spare tire for a couple days while I waited to figure out what to do. I complained online and I later received a call from the location asking me to come get my money refunded for the second wheel alignment. Will never be back to a firestone, worst experience and worst customer service ever at a shop! Wasted my time and money.
Made an appointment online which was super easy. Arrived on time and checked in for my oil change and tire rotation. Had the tire rotation charge waived which was awesome! Everything was completed very timely and I was notified on my cell. The cost of the oil change was also competitively priced. Overall a great experience. I will use them again.Update 03/09/2016I have had many great experiences at this Firestone. The staff is very professional and courteous. They are extremely honest and fair and I really appreciate their service. If you do not currently use them for your auto needs you should absolutely give them a chance, from my experience they will not disappoint! Thank you to everyone there!

I had gone in for an oil change and they noticed my tires needed replacing and made a notation on the bill, no pressure. I made an appointment for the tires and my car has never handled or felt so smooth. I will definitely go back not only for the service but the friendly staff
Needed radiator refill after overheating. Employees were personable, courteous and quick. A cracked heater hose was found and quickly replaced.I wouldnt hesitate to go here again for a repair.

With an appointment made 2 days ahead of time, still took 2 hours for tires. Add to that them charging me for services I didnt ask for and well, cant recommend. If you go, be careful to closely look at your invoice and make sure they dont try to pull one over on you. Couple folks there seem honest, but others, not so much.
I was so nervous when 4 of dash lights came on and my car stopped driving correctly 2 days before Christmas, while I was out if town with family. We went to another shop that basically said, no big deal, keep driving. Not really a fan of that. Usually not a fan of Firestone, but it was the next closest shop, and we took it in. We came in late and they said they could hold it and get to it tomorrow. Yay! They called first thing, let me know what was going on with my vehicle. Defective part. Ugh. They told me everything that needed to be done, and gave me the part back so I could take it back to the shop that put it in for warranty, answered all my questions, Dave in particular was incredible. They wouldnt let me leave until I was safe, and my car was as good as new. So patient, the day before Christmas Eve too! I could not say more nice things. Absolute life saver. Thank you guys so much!
I’ve always had great and affordable service here. Today a member of the customer service helped me to fix my stuck seat belt! It saved me a trip to the dealer and I was just there for an oil change.

To say that this has been the best service experience of my life feels like such an understatement. My husband and I were visiting from out if town and had a massive blowout on one of our tires, with a damaged rim. The staff at this shop went so far above and beyond to help us, and were some of the kindest people Ive ever met. A huge thank you to Eddie for being so helpful!

I had a great experience this past weekend. About two weeks ago, I had my alignment done at another Firestone is Fort Mill. Immediately after, I knew the car wasnt aligned properly because there was still a dramatic pull to the left. I was in Asheville and decided to have this location double check that the vehicle was aligned. Turned out that it wasnt aligned, so they fixed it. They could tell it was still pulling though so they dug deeper to see why the car was doing that despite being aligned. First they tried rotating the tires, and had me drive it. It wasnt better, so they dug even deeper and figured out that it was a computer issue from when the tires were rotated months ago. They were able to re-align the steering wheel to match the wheel alignment and voila, the car drives straight. I really appreciate the guys listening to me and taking the time to make things right. My satisfaction was definitely a priority. I will certainly be servicing my vehicle here in the future.
On a VERY stressful day; having been refused by my regular place ( of 8 years) to balance, rotate and access my old pick up. This staff (Tom...Thomas specifically); clearly, attentively and precisely listened to ALL I had to say and took me for my word. As others have stated I was given wonderful service, explained my situation in detail without talking down to me. In short they did everything a business should or could do to make sure I was comfortable with my truck and their abilities. My hat is off to this facility and they have a new customer for years to come.

Went in to get an inspection (close to closing time) and they found out I had a brake light issue that needed a switch replacement, which needed to be ordered from another store. With only 45 minutes left until they closed, Josh managed to get the part to the store and install it with time to spare. He kept me updated constantly and explained every detail of what they were fixing with my truck, he was super nice and really made me feel like his number one priority. Thanks guys!
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE AT THIS SERVICE CENTER!!!!Recently my sons car was broken into while left over night for service. They assured us they would lot it up inside. Did not happen. $5000 worth of damage. They say they are not liable. They have had break ins and a friend of mines truck was stolen from the lot after it was left out side. Beware!! Shifty place.

The mechanic found a broken bolt in the alternator and many things loose.1st reviewThey took my car in for an oil change and hours later after being lied to about a deal on an oil change they added the difference in labor prices. They said my car was ready and for some reason it was on a test drive. Upon entering the high way my car started jolting and the power steering is not working the same way it was before. I called the next day, they were rude on the phone. Dont waste money here. Jim was rude and lied about a discounted oil change. Then the so called manager Eddie Walker was very rude and doesnt seem to like to listen wasnt customer service oriented. Worst & most expensive oil change ever. I cant prove anything but I can share my experience. All around no good.
This location is one of the places I can take my work van for repairs. I had tires put on the front and when I went back he said someone put the wrong tires on the front they dont match I said it was you all. I needed all new tires and other work done so I dropped the van for the weekend. When I got back on Monday they hadnt touched it. Then once I got the van back the tires only have 6000 miles on them, Im already having problems with them so I called since theyre supposed to fix the tires for free. The guy says itll be tonight before I can get to them great!!! With my experience it could be a week if I dropped it off. SAVE yourself trouble this is not a place to get tires!!! I went to discount tires and theyre taking great care of me. And I suggest if you want fast service and someone who knows what theyre doing with no lasting trouble youll do the same.
Very nice guys, genuine people. I was about to drive down the mountain to go to Charlotte and my brake light came on and was losing pressure. This was a Sunday around 1pm and even though they were very busy they took the time to look things over, fill up my brake fluid, and even give me the rest of the fluid bottle to take with me on my trip. I made it fine and can take my car to my usual mechanic this week.Leaving this honest review is the least I could do. Thanks!
I came in for an oil change, tire rotation, alignment, and inspection. They refused to do the alignment or oil change because the truck was muddy underneath. Just rinse it, it’s not rocket science. Wouldn’t schedule for four days and I think because they scheduled me later in the day they just didn’t want to do it. Fine, I will never go there again and will spread the word.
Just be warned… This place is not fast. Even with an appointment, my simple oil change took 53 minutes. I usually go to a place across town were you can just drive through, and I’ve never had any problems. I think I might continue doing that from here on out, and skip the firestone experience. I will say that these guys clearly know their stuff, they’re nice, and they gave me good advice on how to continue taking care of my car. But I’m super late to work now, because who thinks to schedule a whole hour for an oil change?

Very clean service area. TV typically on the news. Has free coffee and vending machine. One unisex bathroom. Within walking distance of Big Lots, an office supply store, grocery store, and fast food restaurants. Staff is fast and has always been curtious.

Refused to repair our valve stem after waiting an hour they would not fix a valve stem on our car. Said due to safety concerns. We were 100 miles from home passing through. I guess they think its same to send my family away with a leaking valve stem. If course they tried to get me to buy a new set of tires. Not good business

Was stranded on the road on Sunday with broken lug nuts and posts. Called to have it towed there to be fixed same day. Was told they could, but I had to have a special part which they happened to have, so it would be pricey. Quoted a price of over $500( $360 for parts, $140 for labor) if I could get it there in time. Thankfully the tow truck was late, so I just dropped it at my normal guys place, Bruce, with Easy Street Auto Care on Riverside. He fixed it right away on Monday for less than $100. Taking advantage of someone who is stranded on the road with his family by price gouging is definitely not a practice I want in my mechanic and I will have already told several people and will continue to spread the word. Making a buck that way is the worst kind of human.
The guys are always helpful, and prices are fair, but service takes a while. I definitely recommend dropping off and waiting for a phone call. Waiting in the office can take a while.

EXCELLENT service and highly recommended. The staff was friendly, knowledgable, and extremely helpful. They listened attentively as I described the problem I was having, and never talked down to me when I didnt know basic information. After servicing my car, they explained the problem I was having and even drew a picture to help me better understand. I was most impressed that they gave me this good of service knowing that I was just passing through on my way back to Ohio so likely will not be back. Firestone--Innsbruck Mall far exceeded all expectations.
I called when we were on the side of the road with two flat tires. The person who answered was very friendly and checked to see if they had the right tires in stock. They didn’t have the tires but he gave me the number to the other Firestone that was actually closer anyway.

We had a very bad experience. We were traveling from Florida during the Winter snow storm and got a flat tire. Firestone was one of the only places open and the man was very very rude. He told us there was at least an hour wait, which is understandable. So we asked if we could go right down the road to eat breakfast while waiting and he wouldn’t put us on the wait list without our car keys and directed us to Mr.Tire. He did not want our business at all.
