I have been to this store many times and bought several items from them. I appreciate the fact that they let you look at what you want and offer help without following you around. I have gotten some great deals here. They even have worked with me on pricing a couple times and got me exactly where I wanted to be to feel great about my purchases. It’s funny how a little respect can go a long way. I will always shop here.

I only gave this Merchant 1 star so I could leave this review!! Please Read to end.After standing for 5 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge my presence with only 3 patrons in store, two together being waited on and myself. I informed the associate why I was there....Earlier my boyfriend was refused purchase of an item because associate thought he smelled alcohol. Associate informed him he could save the item and to come back in a week and he could purchase the item then. A week, really?? After hearing about the incident is when I myself (a non-drinker) stopped in thinking I could just pick the item up for him and I also was refused the purchase of the item. It was to be a cash sell. I am faithful to my local Merchants and appreciate the fact theyre there for my convenience but, I do not appreciate the judgemental and degrading treatment I received from this Merchant. Needless to say, we will not be back next week. Better put that item back on the shelf!

Nice assortment of odds and ends, good assortment of antique pistols and rifles, most items have easy access for inspection, easy to move around the store, no pressure from sales people.

Went there to spend about $700 on a car stereo system the whole time I was in there the haspanic would only help the other Haspanics and the other staff totally ignored me. I stayed in there for about 20 mins looking around at the speakers waiting on someone to get free and was never helped. so I left my money in my pocket and chose to order online instead. So there lack of poor service lost them money that day.

This is a pawn shop, they deal in used stuff that can be kind of rough around the edges, this is to be expected. But they should definitely try to be a little more reasonable on their used firearms pricing, especially their name brands where people know the prices. I was shocked to see a used Glock 22 priced over $500. They must not be very motivated to move these products. But, I did do a gun transfer through them and they did their part of the transaction as expected, so not all bad.

Now I know why your phone is busy on saturdays. I called sat. 28th and guy that answered the phone set phone down to check and see if you still had trencher and never picked it back up. I could hear talking waited 20 min. finally hung up. now its busy again. was busy all sat. last time I called

Went there to buy a gun. The hispanic guy and girl acted like they would rather have a root canal than to help me. I told them I would go elsewhere. The worst service I have ever had. I felt like an intruder. Not the way to treat a customer with money in hand. I will never go back. A friend of mine said he got the same no service kind of treatment 2 weeks prior to this.

Purchased three firearms so far from these good people and found them to be honest, friendly, and helpfully with a completely professional demenor!. I like their style and will definitely be doing more business with them!

I didnt price any guns but I got a deal on some ammo. I also bought 2 speakers and a scroll saw on sale for 25% off. Staff was helpful and nice. I live about 100 miles from Ashville but will be going back.

Leicester Pawn and Gun Shop is AMAZING! The staff is top notch and always eager to assistin any way. I compared it with Alans Pawn and the difference is huge. Alans staff to a person was arrogant, rude, offering me ridiculous prices for merchandise. A $350 immaculate Motorcycle Riding Jacket brought an offer of $10. I gave Alans three tries and they were one of the worst pawn shops I have ever been in. They LOOK GOOD but fail on every criteria. If you must be insulted, go to Alans but be sure afterwards to visit Leicester Pawn and Gun. See Russell or Gabriella or any of the staff. You will wonder why you ever went anywhere else.M. Good inventory and lots of accessories

I go here for all my car stereo needs they will usually habe things I need that I cant find anywhere else.

Decent inventory and not as pushy as Alans is.

For those of you in WNC that are interested in purchasing a handgun, there is one place NOT to go, and that is Leicester Pawn & Gun Shop. On June 7, 2014, a man that I believe to be Russell Whitmire, the manager of the store, refused to honor a price I had negotiated with one of his counter people and amazingly refused to honor a valid pistol purchase permit issued by the Madison County NC Sheriffs office, citing technicality with a FFL regulation that he could not show me. . With so many options available to buyers, this is the one place to avoid in Asheville.

Price is definitely an issue on guns at this shop.

Terrible establishment. Rude staff, sell used guns for more than they cost new...and very ignorant.

Bought a few guns from this place but when i wanted to sell one back they low balled me, I will never go back.
