I brought Steve my Frankenstein, early 80s Godin thin line classical (nylon string) body with a Chinese Gibson electric neck and acoustic strings, guitar I built and never could get to play right because the neck had issues. He had it a few days and now it plays super easy, clean and smooth. Really nice guy and very reasonable prices. Ill be back for sure.

I came in to town for a gig and my 1/4” jack on my acoustic fell into my guitar. Randy was very quick in helping me get it fixed in time for my show. These guys are awesome!

We took in my nephew whos in his early 20s while living in Northern California. He was called out to the Middle East, and we moved to North Carolina, taking with us the little possessions he had. One of those was a beautiful Martin guitar that a woman had gifted him under very special circumstances. The move was the worst experience, and a ton of things were damaged and some severely. My nephew had a heavy duty bin with the last of his personal effects -- mostly those with great sentimental/personal value. The bin was broken and the lid smashed, water entered, and ruined everything. To add insult to injury, the moving company badly damaged the body of his $800 gifted Martin guitar. The whole bottom separated from the back of the body, and a 5 long chunk was broken off the back at the bottom corner.I found Steven on-line, he got back to me first, and I gave him a shot. Amidst the COVID nonsense and his own circumstances and increased schedule and workload, he got it done. He was very cautious and attentive to detail, did meticulous work to ensure quality, and hit a home run. He also replaced the strings and set up the neck and action so it plays like never before. His communication was great throughout the process. He sent me pictures of the gluing and clamping steps, updated me on issues and his workarounds, and kept me posted on expected ready dates. He guarantees the set up on the neck and action for a year. Great guy, solid business, and overall wonderful experience.

Steve did a great setup for my acoustic guitar. Most of us want low action without buzz and his setup achieves that result. He is low key and shares in detail what he has done with the guitar. Price is very competitive. I recommend Streit luthier services.

I brought my 1970 Martin D28 which I dont trust with just anyone and my Taylor 150e 12 string in to have the alignments checked and strings changed. Both guitars came back in great playing shape. Steve guarantees his work for a year and his prices are reasonable. If you are looking for a luthier to work on your guitar I would highly recommend Steve.
