I just completed vision therapy at In Depth Vision. It has been tremendously helpful in getting my vision back to normal. Dr. Odineal has my trust. She is incredibly experienced and skilled in her field. The visual system is extremely complex and it was very reassuring to have a knowledgeable doctor monitor my progress and help me improve. Considering how important my eyes are for my work and my day-to-day activities, I would have gladly paid 3-5x more for her treatment. Thanks Doctor for giving me my former life back!

Dr. Odineal was able to increase my vision efficiency from 20% to 80%. Before therapy I had limited peripheral vision and rarely used both eyes at the same time. The office has an impressive array of advanced equipment and offers a large selection of tools and exercises that deliver results. The staff is very friendly and professional. I would recommend that anyone take the initial vision assessment, even if they feel they dont have any serious issues.

The staff is loving and kind, my daughter and I feel at home when we enter the building. You can tell that everyone at In Depth Vision is passionate about what they do, and they genuinely care about those that they are helping.My daughter was recommended to In Depth Vision due to having some head trauma that caused her to not see well, lose balance and delayed her reading and comprehension; she also had regular headaches. Eight months of vision therapy with Dr. O, and my kiddo is now confident in reading, is able to maintain balance, no longer wear bifocals, and is no longer suffering from headaches related to eye strain! I truly did not realize that VT would make such an important impact on my kiddos life. We are happy with our experience with In Depth Vision Optometry. The assessments were done with a complete review of symptoms, and specialized equipment to help with the diagnosis of the reading problem. Before the assessment, we were wondering if it was a learning/reading disorder issue, or an eye convergence issue, and the assessments answered that. The staff listened and helped us with treatment issues as they came up. They have COVID protocols for safety. I was amazed when my daughter told me she just finished reading an 800 page book.

My daughter Sonja is a vision therapy client. She says: “I always struggled with academics, as well as having behavioral issues and not understanding why life was difficult.After barely graduating high school, with much intervention and accommodations, I was recommended to get an evaluation at in depth vision by Dr. O at Indepth Vision in Auburn Ca.The test results said that my brain was not working well with my eyes and that I needed to practice some exercises given to me, every day.Every week, I met with a therapist who challenged me with exercises to improve my focus.After some time, I was examined and reported to have made a great strides in training my eyes to work properly with my brain.I am happy to say that vision therapy has made my participation in a college level course, much more successful because my brain has been working more properly with my vision.

Im a mother of 4 children who all struggle with reading, writing, and spelling in varying degrees. I took my youngest 2 (senior in high school, and 4th grader) to In Depth Vision Therapy. Dr. Odineal and ALL her staff are there to see not only their patients improve, but also their families succeed. They are there when its difficult, they are there when its time to celebrate, and every step in between! The support, concern, and desire for success they have for every being that walks through their door is immeasurable. My family and I are forever indebted to Dr. Odineal and her staff! Do the work, put in the time, and it wont go unrewarded!

As a kid I had strabismus surgery to correct an inward turning left eye. It was a success cosmetically, but I never did any post surgical rehab for it. Since then, during the last 26 years, Ive had trouble reading for any sustained amount of time. Studying through college got to be such a bear if there were large reading assignments. I saw an eye doctor who diagnosed and described the imbalance in muscles to me, and I ended up getting extra time on tests, and so forth. It wasnt until I was referred to Dr. Odineals practice, however, that I learned there was actually a solution to the problem! I went through the rehab program for my condition at InDepth and did my homework they gave me each week. I no longer come home super fatigued from looking at a computer screen reading and focusing on things all day! My eyes used to be so tired at the end of the day (trying to constantly overcome those muscular imbalances) that I literally couldnt focus on the television to watch a show. I feel like Im 20% more productive in a day now that my eyes are working properly! Definitely increased capacity to focus on things, and get things done. If you have trouble with reading comprehension, focusing on things, or eye fatigue, do yourself a favor and make an appointment with Dr. Odineal to get it check out - it could be life changing!

I will be forever grateful to Dr. Odineal, Liz and Jane at In Depth Vision. I spent one day a week with them for the better part of a year and they feel like family now. As a child I was diagnosed with stabismus and wore glasses or contacts to help correct my crossed eye my entire life. As an adult I started noticing the crossing more and I wasn’t able to control it anymore. Through the visits and exercises Dr. O gave me I am now feeling more confident because I can control my eyes so much better and I don’t notice the crossing in pictures or when talking to people. I would recommend going to In depth to anyone, they work with so many more eye problems than just strabismus. I drove all the way from Carmichael to Auburn once a week because I trusted them with my eyes and wanted the best possible treatment and outcome and I KNOW I couldn’t have gotten that anywhere else. In Depth Vision really helped with the myriad of issues I walked through the door with, 7 months ago; some stemming from my teen years (Im 48 now), and others, the result from hitting my head in Feb. 21. As a patient, its of great importance to do the work every single day in order to accomplish the goals set forth by Dr. Odineal and her staff. It takes dedication and a strong willingness to want to improve, to get better. Months later, I graduated and walked out the door a much different person than the one who walked in. Thank you to Dr. Odineal and her lovely staff for the many months of help, and some good laughs, too! Ill miss them for sure!
