My family and I were driving from Denver back to Texas. We stopped on the way at the French press because place had good reviews and it looked like a wonderful place to eat. The food was amazing and the server who brought out our food and took our picture was a sweetheart. However, please let the ladies at counter know that when a customer is waiting almost 20 minutes for the specialty latte to not respond to her question about the ETA with “It’ll be ready when I bring it out.” And then proceed to be rude when the drink is brought to the table. I understood that the place was quite busy because it is a breakfast place but when you see so many coffee drinks go out and yours is already at the 20 minute mark and you’re politely asking for an ETA especially after you tipped over 20% on a tab with three meals, the least that you could expect is a polite response. I spent a great deal of my teens and early 20s in the food service industry and understand how stressful job can be but please treat your customers with kindness.
As a breakfast lover, Im happy to have this place nearby. I love the seasonal French toast options and there are a couple unique menu items and great coffee and tea options. You cant really go wrong here. Theres a small patio for outside dining and a small interior dining room, but takeout has been my go to lately.
Food is always exceptional! Have tried the french toast, breakfast burrito, mushroom pita, and a few other items. Love bringing my friends from out of town here!
Had the french toast (with the graham cracker syrup and honey butter). Probably use less of the butter and syrup than me, but quite delicious. Like a Cinnabon french toast. The surprise hit was the eggs and bacon, those were so good I need to be back for their savory selection. Also shout out to the staff, they hustling hard, and youre seen. 👀
I think Ive been to three French Press locations and this one is my favorite.Consistent good service from people who seem dedicated to their jobs, and customer experience. They seem like just good genuine people who are working there most days.Everything Ive tried on the menu, corned beef hash meal, sammies, and something I cant remember... were all delicious!I was going there daily for a while, while training nearby, and dont regret it, great place!
Not thrilled. My husband loved his French toast but my breakfast lacked any real flavor. Couldnt say I would go back on my own.
Food is always fresh made, really good tasting and the place is always clean not to mention staff is always polite and happy I really would give them a 10⭐
Wonderful for breakfast, brunch or lunch! A delightful smorgasbord of tasty dishes. Vegan and vegetarian options. Wonderful tea and fresh brew coffee options. The cannolis are a delight. The staff is friendly and kind. Nice outdoor seating option.
Healthy food, that is fast!. A very thoughtful choice of ingredients, as locally sourced as possible, combined into an extremely tasty menu. The salads are great but my go-to is the smothered breakfast burrito, with one warning... they say never eat anything bigger than your head... You had better by taller than 57... you dont just eat until you are full, you eat until you are tired. Good to split with someone even if you are 6 ft tall. I highly recommend this place since it is local and your body will appreciate the quality of their menu... and the coffee kicks butt too.
I misses this place, everytime I come to Aurora to visit family I make it a point to stop and have breakfast. The best!
Everything is delicious and at a fair price! Not to mention the coffee. Highly recommend getting their business card, after 10 coffee purchases the tenth is free! Warning, it can get a bit crowded since the place is fairly small.
The French Press is one of my favorite breakfast places. My current go to dish is Eggs in a Hole on a Shingle. The chipped beef gravy is killer. You also cant go wrong with their French toast. Ask what their seasonal offering is.
Nothing to buffer noise...sitting near window on 50degree day...coffee was cold...food too. Before getting to enjoy it.Wide menu..good coffee. Not good for friend catch-up conversing.
Good food. Ive gone twice now for Sunday brunch and the wait was pretty long, but the line moved quickly and the food was worth the wait. The portions are rather big so go hungry or split a plate with a friend!
This place is a Gem!!! DELICIOUS food everything i had was amazing. Me and my girlfriend went for my birthday breakfast and they didnt disappoint. Everything made fresh and seasoned very well. When im back in denver i WILL be back! If you in the area they are a must try!
Great breakfast and coffee. The BYO egg whites only omelet was very tasty
My team at work does breakfast burrito Thursdays and it was my turn this morning. I wanted to find a new place for breakfast burritos and after much searching I decided to try the French Press. I was nervous to bring new burritos to the whole team without trying them first, but WOW were they a smash hit! Everyone absolutely loved them! The green chili is delicious and they provided it in a to-go container so the burrito wouldnt be soggy on arrival. We ended up breaking out plates, smothering our own burritos, and having a breakfast feast! Also, I grabbed a coffee while I was picking up the order and was impressed. Great flavor; Im sure their speciality coffees are delicious as well! Ill definitely be coming back next time for more burritos!
Had lox on a bagel but bagel was soggy. Inside was not impressive expected more like bistro atmosphere.
Wonderful place! The staff were very nice, great menu selection - something for everyone! Indoor and outdoor dining tables. Great-tasting food & drinks!
Don’t bother ordering online because your order won’t be started until they ask you if you’re waiting for a pickup order (once you arrive in-person, of course). You might as well just walk inside and place your order because yours will come out faster and before the online orders lol
Amazing service and incredible food. Very relaxed and affordable 😌 I visit often and have never had any issues and if youre ever visiting CO and want a yummy local place choose here !
Strong Americano. Decent eggs Benedict with crispy English muffin. Quaint little spot in Aurora. The potatoes seemed underpriced. Overall great spot. Try it. Youll be glad you did.
I love this location! Seriously, I drive from Arvada. I think the food is absolutely worth the drive, I have never been disappointed, which says a lot because I am kinda picky😉😉. The price is perfect because you get a lot for what you pay. My only gripe is that its a little too popular, jk ...but seriously, it does get a lot of customers, but the wait isnt too bad. Enjoy
What a great little corner breakfast / lunch place! Been there several times so long overdue for a review. Due to COVID you cant really eat there now (outside depends on weather) as it is very small and doesnt have a lot of seating available even during more normal times. But they have a great variety of food options and I can recommend the corned beef hash. Omelets are also good and everything is made to order. Things can get a bit crowded so always best to order ahead and pick-up. Highly recommended.
Big menu and tasty food, but small location. On a busy day, it feels really crowded. Prices are fairly reasonable and staff is friendly.
Good enough food, but the service is shamelessly slow. Expect to wait. And wait. And wait. Also, we picked this place because they had vegan and gluten-free options, but as the vegan in our group I had exactly one choice. C’mon, man!
Literally my favorite restaurant. The Sterlings Sweet Biscuits are amazing and I have never had anything bad here. Breakfast potatoes are perfect.
Been here many times which is saying a lot because Im not a morning person. My go to are the cheddar biscuits. Its topped with their house made chorizo gravy and served with eggs and potatoes. Their French toast is also amazing, it comes with a honey butter and a Graham cracker syrup that tastes just like cinnabon!! And as you can expect, their coffee is top notch. Regular brew is nice and bold and their lattes feel like a warm hug from the java gods.
Great selection, really good food and super nice staff.
Superb! Great service, quick turn around from placing the order to when the food arrived (even though they were slammed), and super tasty food! Will definitely be back!
Amazing experience!! Food was very, very good, nice size portions, good prices. Excellent customer service. Menu has an unusual amount of variety, especially considering the size of the establishment. We will definitely go back again and again!! Thank you for the tremendous afternoon brunch opportunity! 😊
Fire food that is different than your basic breakfast. Leave the Beckys at home because everything has a twist....and it is good. Just a strange serving experience because some locations have you order and bring it to you at your table and some locations you get it yourself from the front counter. Seems like they bring it more when it is nice outside and people sit....when its cold out then you gotta come get it yourself
This place is very small and busy and good food. Their coffee is good as well.Staff is mega friendly and its very popular in the neighborhood. Indoor and outdoor seatings available and an extended menu to choose from. The best way its to go as early as possible, the later its gets the more crowded it gets.Parking is free and its kinda tricky to see the restaurant from the street so you want to use your GPS for good. They have really good table salsas and good ambiance.
Best breakfast Ive had in a long long time.
I ordered a vanilla latte, a lox bagel, and the French toast. I could’ve definitely used more sugar in the latte and salt and seasoning on the eggs. For the French toast dish there wasn’t any meat substitution that didn’t contain pork which was pretty disappointing. The substitutions for the meat were side options such as potatoes etc. For some reason one side of my French toast was soggy. Overall I had a decent experience.
Friendly staff and possibly the best huevos rancheros Ive ever had.
Nice place to meet with friends. The food is five stars. The best breakfast burrito I had in a long time. Thanks for the good food and time to share.
The food was good I sat by the window there were lots of flies in the window sills please clean your condiments and sanitize that window area a fly tape and a screen door will help keep them away
The crepes are a little hard to find on the menu. They are my go-to when I am there. Excellent!
We each had something different and everything was amazing. Definitely recommend
Great food and desserts. Get the salmon! So good!
So, so, so good!! Food was delicious and fresh, coffee is amazing. Menu has something for everyone! I promise you will not be disappointed!
I had the French toast, which was served with almond butter and graham cracker syrup - delish!!
Used to be a great place but over time they have branched off alot of there quality products and more to the mass production. Hate to see places like this go that way but it happens.....
Good food. Id go there again. Wasnt a lot of room for seating.
Met an old friend and had our breakfast in peace. Good food
Outstanding service and yummy pastries. Coffee is great too.
This place has delicious food, but the white blonde guy named John is a complete d***. Probably time to find another job if you’re always miserable working. We’re not here for you.
Employees always helpful and professional even when extremely busy. Food and coffee are delish!
It was tasty n I enjoyed my coffee.
Yummy food! Coffee is ok. Small little place but quick service.
The shrimp and grits were amazing! Very flavorful!
Love coming to this coffee shop just about every weekday morning. Their coffee is amazing and their food is just awesome. The staff is super friendly, and really rock at their jobs!
I would say 5 stars if they had an area to dine in. Very friendly people. Food is always good. I go atleast once a month.
Nice breakfast place. It might be small but it is mighty. Staff is very friendly.
SUCH good food - first time here and no wonder its so popular.
Sterling sweet biscuits were good. Hole in a shingle was ok.Staff was friendly, but the hour wait for food once we ordered wasnt ok. Appreciate when restaurants stop their online orders during peak times if they cant keep up.
The food was great and so were the lattes. Its just a busy crowded area so be prepared to wait.
Stopped at the Aurora location while in town. Had the French press and the breve with a butter croissant and it was delightful. Service was fast, pleasant and welcome.
Delicious food. Nice staff. Doggies welcome on patio!
Amazing food, great service. Highly recommended!
We ordered breakfast items of eggs and potatoes etc.. We waited as other tables who came in after us got served before us. Our food was completely cooled to kinda room temp.
I love this place really really good.
Not a place to study/host meetings. Very loud inside.
Delicious food! A great little spot for breakfast . Highly recommend the zucchini pistachio pancakes!
Premium breakfast for sho. If I could double the stars, I would.
Service was great and food was awesome too 😋
Good food good prices.
A true gem, expecially if you have dietary restrictions on gluten. I really enjoy their food. The only thing I can criticize is that they can find a better coffee to flavoring ratio with their lattes. I couldnt tell if they put the flavoring in or forgot altogether.Note: IDK why their gf rasberry pancakes look like disks of burt charcoal (theyre not burt in the slightest) but they are delicious. I noticed a few reviews claiming their pancakes were burnt and I was wondering if they even bothered trying the pancakes or assumed they were burt because of their appearance.
Love the coffee. And now you can finally sit outside.
Even considering how busy they are, the food is absolutely amazing and reasonably timed. I didnt really have to wait too long for it. Even waiting on the outside they brought it to me. Its filling and great portions!!!! Yummmm...
Boutique place that jives like your local diner. It gets pretty busy in the late mornings. Get in early!
One of my favorite breakfast places.
A gem in Aurora for breakfast and brunch. Long lines, but worth the wait. The Vietnamese sandwich satiated my craving for banh mi, but is not super authentic. The hoagie bun is not exactly like the French bread baguette that the sandwich is known for (bánh mì = bread). No options for pâté or the traditional mayo. The daikon is replaced by jicama, and the pulled pork is an Asian style twist, but it works enough for me to want to come back for more. The portion size of the Humus & Pita Salad is very generous. The Iced Chai Tea Lattes are refreshing on a hot day. Parking and finding an open table can be tricky sometimes.
The service was friendly and professional. I enjoyed a vegetable omelet and a pistachio pancake. All of it was tasty and filling. The atmosphere was fun-loving and easy-going. I could eat here any day of the week. Hopefully when things open back up we can get down there to enjoy the place!
Delightful little spot, with delicious French toast and the coolest tea pots.
Great food plenty of options of food and coffee.
