Terrible lack of communication. Failed timelines. Tried to give my vehicle back without completing all the repairs than told me it was because they saw it late in the repair so they didnt order the part. Just dont.

2014 ford taurus SHO was brought to these guys for repairs. They fixed it but I had to bring it back because it was not right. They fixed it again and I had to bring it back again! Each time I had to get a rental car! Picking up and dropping off a rental car numerous times is a HUGE hassle. I honestly think weve been to Gerber at least 10 times (probably more) picking up and dropping this off and having it looked at.The most recent time I brought it back they ignored me and wouldnt even call me back. I now have a passengers side dog leg flapping around on my $50k car. Rusty is not a good manager. I would never go here for repairs. Take your car to a dealer not to these hacks. I cannot believe that Allstate recommends this place!!!EDIT AFTER OWNERS RESPONSE: We will get it fixed at a reputable shop. Were NOT bringing the car back there again. We last brought it back on 12/21/18 and it was like pulling teeth trying to get someone to even walk out to your parking lot to have a look at the dangling dog leg (yes, the one that Gerber removed to repaint after they dinged it up while it was in the shop). Someone did come out but they basically said that it was something we must have done to cause it to be all loose and the missing screw was our fault too. Were done with Gerber. Please do not contact us again.

Bad service & inadequate repair. Engine light was not on before the accident & came on after. The car was hit in the front. They turned off the light & turned me away when I brought the car back. The light came right back on. Nothing but bad experiences from here. Mechanics seem to not understand why my engine light is on & told me to see someone else, not their problem. I do not recommend this location.
I was absolutely pleased with my experience here.... I was treated so nicely from the time i walked in the door to the time i left.... Ask for mrs. Brittney.... She made me feel very nice... Liked someone really cared about my problems... She is such a nice lady... If i ever have a chance to do business with them again i definitively will

Although, being in need of a collision center is not trendy, its good to have a pleasant experience when you must! These are the most customer focus people I know. We were greeted professionally and made to feel important and valued.

The work they do is good but you can not just take your car you have to inspect it because there is always something that has to be redone or put back prior to you taking it. The communication is horrible if the person that calls the customers is not working then you will not get an update on your vehicle. Their work is guaranteed as long as you have the car but it is almost not worth the hassle.
I have had both of my vehicles bodywork done here and I had great customer service and my vehicles looked brand new again.

Hi my name is Kelvin and this is the second time I have had work done on my vehicles. Both occasions the service I received was exceptional. From when I first walked through the door I was greeted with a smile and how can I help. First impressions mean a lot to me and Gerber collision in Austell was amazing. I needed my tailgate fixed and bumper replaced. I was advised it would be about two weeks before I would get my vehicle back but I had a rental which Gerber took care for me. I love when I go into an establishment and everything is in order. This is what you get when you come here. My vehicle was ready in 4 days so it did not take 2 weeks and when I got it back I was explained thoroughly what all had taken placed. Some things were done that I did not even asked for. I cannot say enough how thankful and how appreciative I felt for having Gerber in Austell work on my vehicle and going forward me And my family will continue our future business with Gerber.
Gerber Collision did a Phenomenal Job on my Kia, after I was rear ended then side swiped by a big rig. It looks better now than before the accident. It was cleaned very well before they turned it over to me.People ask me, did you get a new car?Thanks Gerber!
This shop is very unappealing. Very irresponsible when it comes to appointments. However there is a nice CALIBER COLLISION up the street that will take your vehicle the same day with no problems or appointment needed and they are very welcoming and greet you and treat you like a human being. Also this shop is now making fake reviews and pressuring their customers to type false information but thankfully only the small minded ones follow through. Horrible business horrible place. I wouldnt even call it a business.
I had an awesome experience at Gerber Collision & Glass (Austell). My vehicle needed a rear bumper replacement. I dropped it off Sunday evening (key in night deposit box). They had my vehicle ready Tuesday by close of business! They rock! Less expensive than another repair shop and complete in less than the 5 day turn around from thre other shop. Thanks Micheal C. This is a kinda weird review but just hear me out...I was in a car accident & I only needed rear bumper work done plus paint. I picked my car up before the sun came up, but when i finally saw it in the light I realized that my bumper was a completely different color from the rest of my car. I wasnt mad though because I like the color & im going to have my whole car painted that same color. But upon further inspection I realized that there were numerous scratches and what not all the way down the passenger side of my car. It looked like someone played 10 games of tic tac toe on my car. Luckily they took pictures (as did I) when I initially dropped the car off and without hesitation told me they would fix it. Mind you it was a week later before they could do the work, but they had me in and out in about 5-6 hours. And when I say my car looked great...it looked great! The paint guy even gave me a recommendation for another company that could finish the rest of the work for me. Gerber Collection seems to be a team of very honest and professional people and I will recommend them to anyone.

THEFT!The Job done to my car was great. Now that is completely beside the story. I left my car to get repaired with a so-called reputable company. I have a new car so I wanted it to look perfect did not care how much it would cost beside the deductible. The customer service there was great! Dropping off the car was easy and simple. As I am leaving after dropping my car off I am thinking fxxk I just left my head phones! Mind me I have some very expensive headphones. I always leave my headphone hanging on my rear view mirror so when I work out they are ready for me to go. Me the laid back person I am just say that I will get them when I come back to get my car. A week later... I go to pick up my car. The very first thing I do is look for my headphones! To my surprise I cant find them. So I ask and tell them I left them hanging, they show me a picture of nothing hanging so I ignore it. Go home and talk to my wife. She tells me that same day I left my car to get repairs, we went to the gym and I hid them in my center console. I come to realize that I did leave them hidden in the center console. So the next day I call asking not accusing anyone of doing anything! If they could check. I get transferred over to the manger and right off the bat he comes off as completely rude! I ask do you know the situation he states no. So I elaborate yet again. Then he tells me that I had told them they were hanging now Im giving them a whole other story. Hold on first I have not even accused your company of doing anything! All I called for was just to confirm and if he could ask his employees if they had seen them. He tells me none of his workers are capable of steeling. When I had never even accused them of steeling. Which made me think is he hiding something for them or what exactly. At that point I get heated and tell him how I feel. That he was completely unprofessional and that I am not trying to get any money from them I will buy myself new ones! Mind me I am a State Farm sub agent and I pushed the claim for my car getting fixed myself. I refer customers to this location because I assumed it was the best! Now with my own experience I would HIGHLY recommend customers to watch your things. To my conclusion they took my headphones and the manager is completely out of hand.

I CAME IN THE OTHER DAY TO GET AN ESTIMATE, THE RECEPTIONIST WAS VERY PLEASANT, THE YOUNG LADIES WHO ASSISTED ME WITH THE ESTIMATE WERE VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND MADE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE THROUGH OUT THE PROCESS, THE ONLY THING THAT BOTHERED ME WAS WHEN I WAS WAITING FOR MY ESTIMATE TO BE COMPLETED, I WITNESSED A GENTLEMEN COME IN AND BE VERY RUDE TO THE RECEPTIONIST WHILE SHE WAS ONLY TRYING TO HELP HIM. SHE KEPT HER COOL THE ENTIRE TIME AS HE WAS INSULTING HER. ITS UNFORUTNATE TO SEE A YOUNG MAN BE RUDE IN A PLACE OF BUSINESS AND STILL EXPECT TO BE ASSISTED, MAKES ME QUESTION IF HE WAS RAISED IN A BARN. NEEDLESS TO SAY THE STAFF AT GERBER AUSTELL IS AWESOME! THEY DID AN EXCEPTIONAL JOB!
I will never ever return to this horrible company/location again! My car was badly damage due to a huge tire that came off a tractor so since I used Gerber before I thought it would be a great idea! No! Some goofy lady they hired in the front called me a 1000 times about the vehicle and then rushed me to pick it up and when I do it looks horrible! Hood have many dents, bumper have cracks, glass still have a crack but then they tell me to come back because no technicians are available on saturday! NOT my issue! Im so pissed at how my car look. They took my money and gave me shity work!
Having my new car be hit while parked (hit and run) is already a highly stressful situation but talking to customer service agents who arent professional and you can tell they hate their job was very uncomfortable. I was not talked to with respect or as if it was a business transaction instead, she talked to Me as if I was being done a favor. It was very awkward when she gave me a two week wait for an appraisal when I have full coverage insurance and my agent referred me to them. I decided to go with another body shop.

After being rear-ended and looking for a place to take my car I toggled between this location and another competitor. I called and visited other locations in Alpharetta but I guess based on different locations each one independently accepts 3rd party insurance with from Allstate...something of that nature. I decided I would give the Austell location a try. Meesha (probably spelled wrong) was very friendly, explained everything in detail. My car was completed in a timely fashion and the work looks excellent!
