I was skeptical about buying from Austin auto traders because of the bad reviews and complaints I seen against them online. But I decided to go down there and check them out. And I want to thank mark strouse and his team for providing the outstanding service of getting me into a truck when no one else would give me a chance they did. Been a few days since I I purchase my truck have had no major issues with it only some little minor stuff that i can fix myself. All the trucks they sell have problems! And they try to say they are perfect. Called to inquire about a truck and was told they didn’t have any info on it, I would have to go in to see it but they assured no problems. Went in and another sales guy told me the truck has a lot of problems with it, that’s why it’s parked in the back. Tried to show me another that was “in perfect condition” but the check engine light was on. Was told that it just had sensors that were unplugged to make it have more power. Even though the engine had a high pitch squeak they said that was normal. Test drive it and white smoke was coming out of the tailpipe and the squeak turned into knocking. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!

Apperently its normal for this company to take out 3 monthly payments within a week and a half. Their excuse was well you agreed upon auto draft so they think they can take out as much money as they want whenever they want. This is extreamly unprofessional and I have never seen a buisness do this even with auto draft.

This company is absolutely horrible the manger mark. Is a lying lowlife he wants money nothing else. We bought a chevy 2500 and 3 weeks after we bought it the motor went out. The power stearing pump and the turbo went out We asked for help fixing it he said they sold it to the bank and were no longer going to have contact with us. We needed to call the bank directly. He lied on top of lies 5k dollars down and 600 a month. Save your money run fast from them. He is a true con artist.

Unprofessional sales person. The truck that was purchased has a oil pressure issue which they had me bring the truck back. When I picked up after I was told it was fixed still have the same issue. Have setup to have the truck looked at by a certified diesel mechanic shop, so we shall see where it goes from here. Well as you can see it didnt go well. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! Buyer BEWARE! 1st truck we purchased here broke down 3 days later. Finally got it back to them via tow, refused to give money back and fraudulently put us in another truck. This truck broke down 9 MILES from the lot as we left! We didnt even get home! 9 MILES PEOPLE, STAY AWAY!

Ok... Ive now had time to think about what to say. Every sense the 3rd Day after I bought the truck the check engine light has been on. Shortly after that both of brake warning lights came on and the speedometer quit. I made them aware of this and their mechanic wiggled some wires and called that a fix and told me thats all I need to do. The transmission issues I spoke of were just ignored. A diesel mechanic, highly recommended to me from a friend, told me the transmission is on its last leg and needs rebuilt or replaced. I really shouldve known better when the buying process was extremely fast. Like less than 2 hours financing and all. Im paying almost 20k for a truck that needs almost 7k worth of work to be dependable. I dont recommend buying from these dealers without taking the truck to a dealer to have it gone over professionally! I regret my purchase. Oh the woman in the office will argue with you and ignore you on the phone to carry on a conversation with the guys in the office. Go elsewhere!!!

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!Austin Auto Traders sold us a vehicle that ran for 1 week and then broke down. They have a 30 day hand shake warranty agreement. I have everything date stamped through my loan company and document on there end. We drove the vehicle for 1 week, all of a sudden it started giving us problems and then just quit running. I reached out to UAC, informed them of what was going on (week 2 of truck still not running) I called and spoke to Mark (owner) at Austin Auto Traders, we had to pay someone to tow our vehicle from our home in Belton to his shop. Our truck was worked on for about 2 weeks. They informed us it was running and ready to go. We get to the shop start it up, everything sounds perfect. We get to the gas station pump some diesel back into the truck. Get 10 minutes down the road and it breaks down again. I called Mark and they hauled butt over there and was trying to force it to run. He ended up having to get it towed to the shop. Were it sat for about 2 months. Every time I called it was always something new as to why his mechanic wasnt working on it yet. He then told me the motor was blown and needed a replacement. He offered to pay for the motor and do the work. He claims he bought the motor and his mechanic would start on it. After time goes on, he then tells me his mechanic quit and he was looking for a new one. We finally got tired of waiting and had him take it to another shop of our choice (now we are going to have to pay out of pocket). Truck has been sitting there for about a month or two, Marks mechanic wired everything backwards or incorrectly and now they still cant figure out whats wrong with it. Total bill was $1,300 and the truck still did not run, they finally gave up and couldnt fix the problem. Then COVID19 happen and they closed the shop, so nothing more can be done right now. We made about 2 payments on the truck, I was hesitant to make the first payment. I was told by UAC that if we didnt make the first payment that the dealership would be responsible. I was holding out to make him responsible, but Mark told me he would continue to help us get the truck fixed and even sent an email to me saying this. We believed him and made the first payment. Truck was never fixed and we made two payments and mark started ignoring all text messages and phone calls.oh and 5 months later we still do not have our tags or registration. Not like it matters anyways, we gave the truck back to UAC and are done with it. We are not going to pay for a truck that does not run.

Well I would advise anyone not to purchase anything from them. I use to work for them and the owner Mark is cheap and very rude. The Chrysler 300 over heated while I drive it to drop off another vehicle and they just let it cool down and parked it back by road for sale. The Chevy cut off on me several times. The gold dodge power steering is out and its impossible to drive. Every vehicle I cleaned interior is trashed.Plastic prices through out each vehicle is missing are destroyed with animal urine. If you think this is untrue just stop by. They couldnt even afford towels and products for me to detail . I had to wait every morning at least a hour until they got there for them to open shop. I had to use my own supplies. But if anyone needs their vehicle professionally detail look us up . And not they are leaving replies to justified and write lies about me. Only difference with me is that everything Im saying is true. I wasnt hired to repair anything. Just a detailed. I cut grass used my home to to take there trash out. Its so bad that they told Time Warner that there place was a resident and not a business for a cheaper rate. I was instructed to close the garage because thats were they told Time Warner they sleep. Just small things like that tells alot about them. Their upset because they dont have the money to pay me. Everyone knows me. Im straight but Mike is far from that

Corey was top notch in ever aspect today. Got me in the truck I wanted at a better rate then we had discussed over the phone. Truck had a check engine light pop up on way home. Guys help diagnose and reassure me. Turns out to be very minor and am bringing truck back per thier request so they can look at the issue. Alot of dealers will pretend they dont know you once truck leaves the lot. Over all Im recommending family and friends. I purchased a heavy duty diesel truck and am very happy with the quality of truck it is. If you need a vehicle dont hesitate to give theses guys a shot.

It took me a second to receive my title but the reason why is I needed to take it to get inspected. The owner did inform me that after I bought the truck, he said the title will come in first, but you need the inspection then take it back to the dealership and they will go get the registration sticker followed by the title in the mail. silly manJust got a truck from these guys, 6 weeks ago, my truck was totalled so I needed something simple to get me back on the road.

We bought car from this dealer last week and paid fill money and car did not pass state inspection it has 15 issues and they told move to my mechanic shop and now they are not responding phone message calls. I spent 400$ behind this car. They have to liable for state inspection . They are playing with since last week please do not buy vehicle from them

The salesperson put in writing that they would pay for any repairs over $600.The total came to almost $3,000.The sales person was fired and Mark refused to accept the WRITTEN agreement made by his sales people.Mark also refused to apply my money to a different vehicle that he had on his lot. It took over A YEAR to get my plates, after I paid for 100% of the repairs.Ive purchased over 30 cars in my life (for work and family use) and I have NEVER had such a HORRIBLE dealing in car buying.

When i went for STATE INSPECTION the result was FAIL with many codes. Also,within 3 days car drop down.They dont even care for state inspection. Adam DonmoyerIt takes a lot for me to write this knowing theyll likely treat me poorly as a result. But at this point I have little to lose. I want to tell you that you can get a deal here. That we got an excellent (high mileage) truck that we could afford to pay cash for. But the thing is, we got our Truck in mid July (see the picture they took of us from their FB feed) and now its December 7th and were on our 3rd set of paper plates. And Cory (manager) and Mark (owner) keep promising us our title and plates (again, see picture) but for the 3rd time in a row theyve dropped the ball. They collected a registration fee from us, and we provided them a copy of our passed safety inspection last summer, but after 5 months and counting theres still been nothing. No license plates. No title. And no registration sticker. And lately theres been no communication. So my advice to anyone who reads this is to go somewhere else. Theyre either corrupt or theyre inept. Either way, youll do better elsewhere.
