Very nice people that run the store. Everything is fresh place is really clean. They havent in usual array of donuts with some different toppings. One of my favorites is a glazed donut topped with Fruity Pebbles cereal. Absolutely delicious that fruity crunch on top of the donut really is something different you have to try.

It’s a very cozy shop that brings to mind my parents taking me to a local donut shop on weekends as a kid. I can easily say this gives off that exact same feeling of being a local neighborhood donut shop.The service is always friendly and great! The food never disappoints...I’ve gotten both kolaches, croissants, and donuts. They always hit the mark, soft/fresh bread, and its always delicious.

This little shop is so cute, reminds me a places I’d go as a kid on the west coast. Both the bacon and sausage breakfast croissants were great, jalapeño kolaches were good also. The only donuts we tried were the plain glazed, not bad but looking forward to returning to try some of the more fancy donuts!

The donuts were soft and tasty. I liked that the filled donuts were filled on the spot, not sitting getting soggy in the case. The donut holes were soft and sweet. The customer service was excellent. I will be returning and recommending this store to everyone.

I am regular of Donut Empire at least once or twice a week. Ive been their customer for almost 4 years. I know the owner is very nice and kind to their customers. Whenever I walk in, they always greet me with such excitement and even throw a few free donut holes in my bag. However, last week I came in and noticed there were new employees who wasnt as nice as the owner. So I came in again this week and that employee was gone. I love their donuts and kolaches. The best in North Austin.

Nice owners, cool convenient shop. However, for a donut shop a good cup of coffee is a must and they fall short. Also, no chocolate donuts here(some knock off frosting is used), they would get 5 stars with those two improvements! :-)

I have been coming to this place since it opened, they open at 5am daily, and they have some FIRE KOLACHES. The owners are so kind. They always hook me up with donut holes as a surprise, I highly recommend this spot!

Im new to the area so I decided to give this place a try. Even though they were busy in the back, someone shouted “Welcome in!” As we walked in. I think greeting customers is huge, so I really appreciated that and I was willing to wait a few minutes. The lady was really sweet, we didn’t order donuts but she gave us samples of their donut holes to try which was very sweet of her. The kolaches and breakfast croissants were delicious. I noticed that the place was extremely clean, organized, and smelled wonderful. 5/5 for service, quality, and cleanliness. This will certainly become my regular breakfast stop. 😊

Amazing. Get there about 20 minutes after 5, when they open, and theyll have most of the selection out and piping hot! The kolaches are donut shop kolaches and not really all that special, but they have great breakfast sandwiches and tacos if you want a decent bang for your buck.

I work across the street from this place and their donuts are delicious nice and fluffy always fresh plus they have kolaches which are delicious to.

I really want to like this place, but their glazed donuts arent sweet enough and just taste very meh. Like Im eating oily bread, but it tastes a little worse. Some of the other ones are very meh too, but Ive had a couple that are good here and there.

We usually buy kolaches here. The donuts are good also, but sometimes just too sweet. There are many items to choose from and they always taste like theyre right out of the oven.The people who run this place are also incredibly sweet. I just got kolaches today, but they saw my dog in the car and added 2 donut holes for him. He was beyond happy with the rare treat.

Stopped by this place for a quick donut pick up but was sad to see there wasn’t a great selection to choose from. Donut holes were not properly glazed which left them soft but greasy in the end. Donuts were just a disappointment in general as they were very plain and didn’t stand out from any other local shop. Although, the kolaches were good and was a nice surprise after the donuts. Customer service was also great but it doesn’t make a potential customer come back. Which I will not.

I finally got a chance to stop in and I am glad that I did! Friendly service and excellent donuts! I need to try the breakfast sandwiches.

First, I walk in at 12:50. A couple frosted twist donuts in the case. A couple twists glazed with Cinnamon. Some cake donuts etc and 3 strawberry strudel bars and 4 apple fritters. The whole case was almost empty. So I ended up getting 2 lg twist donuts, with a thin layer of frosting and 1 gazed Cinnamon twist. They are very fresh when you pull them apart and smell good. They are a bit on the greasy side. The three twist ones were put in a small bag standing up so there is no individual flavor. They were stuck together as soon as I picked them up. No way to keep them apart. 😕They really need to have more product in the case and truly frost the donuts. It can be wiped off if anyone doesnt want it or less of it. But my experience is those people choose glazed or similar. They did have kolachis there. Apparently they are really good. I will have to go elsewhere just because our group likes variety.

Favorite. Donut. Ever! You have to have an apple fritter. Theyre made like no other. So fresh, so tasty. I also enjoy their breakfast burrito. Egg & cheese. Simple and quick. Did I mention the apple fritter??! 😋

Decent donuts, they usually have no donuts prepared. Ive been early and mid morning and same results. I believe since its a small shop they dont prepare that many but I think that will prevent me from going here.

What a great place! Went today and ordered lots of different stuff. Donuts, kolaches, coffee etc.Apple fritter. Perfect. Crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. Superbly done.Cake donuts absolutely outstanding!Sour cream donuts worth walking miles for!Kolaches were excellent. Most places they are treated so poorly and are awful imitations. In the display case they look nothing less than divine.And the taste was great. They could teach every donut shop in town that I know of, how it’s done.Coffees good too!We will be back.

Staff is rude, and treats people with no respect. When you walk in its as if you are a nuance to them. Furthermore, there doughnuts taste like they are baked in old grease. I will stay away and take my business elsewhere.

Great place to pick up donuts quick. They have some large sized breakfast tacos for $2, which are tasty but need some salsa. Their sausage breakfast sandwich is good too, a little on the sweet side though. Their kolaches are similar to any other kolache you pick up at a place like this so a solid pick. Donuts are soft and sweet if you grab them in the morning. Super friendly staff, I like that they occasionally throw in a free donut hole with your purchase! Cash only if your total is under $5 btw.

The donuts are so good, the breakfast tacos, (breakfast) sandwiches, and the kolaches are the best Ive ever had and it is all very reasonably-priced. The staff always remembers me when I go (no matter how long its been between visits) I highly recommend donut empire to anyone including the most picky eaters.
