Staff at Peoples Pharmacy is professional, caring, and willing to go the extra mile for their customers when needed. Pharmacist is great! Highly recommend.
Is excellent quality products as well as an amazing staff Id like to single out Samantha as she is especially helpful and friendly🤩
Knowledgeable staff. Steady customer service oriented, best health and medicine oriented for the whole family including pet family members. Earth health oriented. Well organized. Efficient. Professional. Unique. Thank God for Peoples Pharmacy.
Great local pharmacy. Always friendly service. Good food too.
It doesnt get better than Peoples RX! The staff went above and beyond today and I am so grateful! I was in a rush for a specialty med. My doctors office called it in as I headed that way and the staff had my script ready to go.When my insurance didnt cover the end, they got a discount code. Truly; the customer service was wonderful. I wish they had a location in Georgetown.Thank you again for helping me get what I needed, quickly!
They compounded medications for me and the pharmacist answered a lot of questions I had. They got a universal claims form for me so I could get reimbursed by my insurance, and didn’t charge compounding fees on a more simple prescription (not sure if that’s typical and I had 2 prescriptions). They also gave me little finger condoms like we used to vote to use for application when I said the ointment was hard to get off my hands.
My husband was treated poorly while trying to pick up the medications I needed during my cancer treatment. Since then, I have also found that the lead pharmacist is anti-vaxx and anti-mask. This strongly makes me question the safety of their stores for both employees and customers. It also calls into question the quality of their medical advice, understanding of science, and concern for the health of their community.I will no longer be using this store nor recommending others to them.
I can always fine someone to answer my questions and they have a great selection of homeopathy remedies, at least the lower concentrations.
Goood people and good food
Nice people but....Ive had to fill 3 important prescriptions for my cat in the past 4 months, and each has taken 3-4 days to get the medicine. They only seem to start working on my prescription when I call and talk with someone. I understand theyre busy. Maybe its low priority because its a dying cat?Early yesterday morning I put in a request for a refill. I just called and found out that There are no more refills. We need to contact the doctor. Almost 2 days later and Im finding this out. There arent many compound pharmacys, so its not easy for me to go someplace else.My advice is: Always talk to someone there if its important. Dont trust the automated system.
Very responsible and great management! Thank you for providing great care to your clients!
A great selection of healthy foods in the deli make this a one stop shop.
There is a distinct woo factor involved in shopping at this pharmacy. However, this being Austin, the inventor of health food retail, the woo quotient is pretty tame. Much lower than other compounding pharmacies that Ive been to. I need betahistine, and this is the best place Ive found in Austin to get it. For that it gets four stars.
When Im feeling ill, I always go and get the beef bone broth and it cures me instantly.
I love going to this pharmacy even though its out of the way. They employees go way out of their way to inform, assist and enable you to take care of your help optimally. They have a nutritional specialist on premises who can assist you in supplementing your pharmacological approach with other nutrients for a more integrated management of your health. I always go in with a smile and come out with an even bigger one.
This place has a really nice, small town, home-y feel. I like it a lot. I got a prescription here for my cat and the people behind the counter were really nice about carefully explaining to me how to give it to the cat. They were not impatient or anything. Everyone else who works here is also very friendly, and I like the selection of health foods they have! Especially with their granola and protein bars.
I love this place. They have a great and simple selection of products for all sorts of needs. Great concept, friendly and helpful staff. The food is SUPERB with flawless ingredients.
I lived a few blocks from this Peoples location for over 10 years, and never had anything but great experiences both with their pharmacy & deli departments. Now that I live much further away, I still make the trek as often as possible to support this vital neighborhood establishment. Parking in front is quite often hard to find, and tricky due to busy North Lamar traffic, but theres often a spot or two around back in the alley lot. Highly recommended!
They have a lot of specialty products and they charge plenty for them. I do like having access but think some of the items should not be as expensive as they are.
Great and interesting pharmacy! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff
I cannot speak any more highly about this pharmacy. They are kind and understanding, which is not always the case when it comes to pharmacies. Theyre quick and never screw up medication fills. They have been so helpful to me when I really needed it, and I thank them for it!
I have developed a very special relationship with the staff here. Great, special people and I truly love coming here and ordering from the deli. Great wellness products too and top of the line pharmacists too...
EDIT - January 2019: after a change in upper management (sometime in mid 2018) the kitchen has seen a slow declined in food quality. Management only care about the bottom line, and it shows. Lowering my 5 star rating to 3.Old review: The kitchen staff prepares everything from scratch each day! They make excellent to order tacos, & their daily soups are also really tasty! ...If youre hungry, try this place out :)
I like this place and the staff was nice! Like a dummy I didnt bring my wallet inside but the lady was sweet and let me run out to my car and get it while she waited and told the other people in line to wait. I really appreciated that! By the looks of it they carry over the counter, local and, of course, prescription drugs.
Peoples Rx has been around for YEARS. (I lived in Austin all my life) They have everything you need in there. They have a lot of specialty prescription items. Beware, its NOT very big, and the parking lot small, but everyone is super nice. I buy vitamins for my hair skin nails. They are also pricey....BUT worth it! Grab a frozen treat while you shop!
Get the tuna salad at the deli! The prices on every other good is too high though. Pharmacists are all really kind. See Jim Meyer if you need nutritional therapy, he is a brilliant guy, good man, trusted for info in his field.
Local pharmacy that makes every effort to get you what you need. One of the few pharmacies in town that will work with me to get a specific generic when I am allergic to certain binders on a generic. Also had food and lots of wellness items.
The naturopath who assisted me today had the most negative attitude. She was just totally about the “no”. I was just asking to locate a product and she started in on a diatribe about the failure of the medical profession. And alternative practitioners wonder why there is not more acceptance of alternative/complementary medical by traditional medicine!
Great quirky Austin place. Can always count on People’s for specialties. Just got lidocaine lollipops for recovering from throat surgery. Good stuff.
When you can’t find it, look here!
I love, love, love this pharmacy! I was extremely sick and did not have insurance with my work at the time. Megan took the time to listen to me and really help me find something that would work for my symptoms. Two days later I was feeling AWESOME and back to myself. The staff here is soo friendly and professional. I definitely head here before the doctor every time!
They dont keep much supply in stock and when they do have something it tends to be significantly more expensive than other local options. Ive also had to return to the pharmacy because they did not include the full Rx in the container. The staff is friendly and they keep a nice supply of over-the-counter options but its not my first choice.
Customer service acumen needs polishing... I ordered a 3 day cleanse online. It indicated that a Friday pickup was available so I selected it. On Saturday I got an email that it was ready. Email also said they called me, but I had no missed calls. (I work in Austin, live NW of Georgetown, so a 1+ hour drive one-way on the weekend was not appealing). I went Monday, it wasnt there. I went Tuesday at lunchtime, it wasnt there but the guy can be here in 15 minutes... if I wanted to wait. I know how waiting works, so said Id just come back again, but they ended up just getting the product from their cooler. WHY didnt they just do that on Monday, or Friday?!?!
Thanks for having my daily iced butter coffee! Love supporting a friendly and supportive business that truly represents what Austin is about 😀
These people are always nice and helpful. A true compounding pharmacy who can make custom mixtures for you. The herbalist on staff is very helpful, too.
Such great service. Prescriptions quick and reasonably priced. There is also a deli and many items to shop through. The staff is always really nice. The food is great. Much mure than a pharmacy.
Pharmacy tech said she couldnt look up the price of my prescription if I gave her my insurance info without a prescription on file. Other pharmacies had no problem with that.
Any of the four offices have a variety of specialities in their staff to help a person decide how to approach any particular health challenge or diseases, and you get to choose among Non-MDs. My favorites are Naturopaths and Nutritionists. Better than MDs because they look for a cause and deal with that.
Yesterday I came in for Digestymes and some probiotics. The man who checked me out couldn’t get rid of me faster. They were not busy. I’ve seen them busy. He tried to pull my credit card out of the machine because I was not going as fast as he wanted. I stopped him and did it myself. It was just straight up rude. Then he placed the receipt on the counter and walked away. No thanks or offer of a bag like before. To make it worse I turned around and some man was staring at my nephew until I looked at him straight on. I know the people who come here are of a certain means, but I need at the very least the probiotics. I’ve not felt such classism in a while and it doesn’t help that the diversity in there every time it non existent. I’m Mexican-American and not incredibly wealthy but obviously I can afford your products. Perhaps next time you can push aside your opinions and just provide good customer service.
Pharmacy staff are very friendly. Service is great. Parking is difficult during busy hours.
Helpful staff, special products not found in big chains and incredible sandwiches. Can’t imagine anything better
Knowledge staff that are really glad to help, share information and find what you need whether it’s something on the shelf or a professional consultation
Most knowledgeable wellness people around. Very good sandwiches. Coffee is mediocre.
Love it and of all The Peoples Pharmacy in the Austin area this is my favorite! The customer service is outstanding here and the consults are amazing!
Love love love getting sandwiches from here! The rye bread is swirled awesomeness! Plus, they make a rockn smoothie! Did I mention they deliver!
I went to see the ND Amy Tyler. Initially had a decent visit but after that it went downhill. She recommended I try a 3 day juice cleanse. I told her I had slready tried one before but I was willing to try another one if this one was different. She never returned my emails after that. Oh and she also sent me to go have blood work done that I spent good money on plus her initial $200 consult plus the $136 worth of supplements she gave me which didnt work by the way. So all in all I spent over $400 based on her recommendations and I have nothing to show for. Absolutely stay away!
A small but capable pharmacy and the retail section is almost completely focused on pharmacy products.
Great folks fast friendly such a change from suoer market type that are everywhere today
Wonderful selection of truly healthy products, just wayyyy overpriced.
The deli is actually better than the pharmacy. The pharmacy is fine but they sell a lot hokey alternative medicine nonsense
Im a fan. Everyone is always helpful and they have great selection of natural remedies
Only the best but you will get what you pay for
This is a nice place, but it could be a bit cheaper
Best place in Austin to get vitamins and supplements.
Best place in town for actual medicine!
Super great sandwiches and friendly service
These folks are always knowledgeable and helpful.... especially in the wellness department!
Great place for organics
Fast friendly service.
Very informative folks.
Great variety but some items expensive
My go-to place for drugs!
Great vibes
Drugs for everyone
