This mattress changed my life. I’m a light sleeper, and I wouldn’t say the mattresses I’ve used have been awful, but for 10+ years I haven’t felt like I had a good nights sleep. The overall customer service and experience was great- but the mattress itself puts UM over the top. James was very helpful in accommodating me after receiving a bed My mom had ordered me without testing. The one I got was much firmer than expected so I went into the store and was assisted by James. He spent time listening to my preferences and then hooked me up with something that would fit my needs (now I just have to wait for it to arrive) but he gave me a mattress topper for more softness that is working just fine in the mean time. I was shopping around for a mattress and found Urban Mattress on Google. Admittedly, I first went to Mattress Firm but after they would tell me the cost of a mattress there were about $100 of hidden fees added on. James at Urban Mattress in Austin was amazing! Im always nervous to commit to purchasing something if its more than a few hundred dollars, but James let me test out a few different mattresses and didnt rush me at all. He was very knowledgeable on the different mattress types, and steered me to one mattress over another because Im a side sleeper and it would help relieve pressure off of my neck/shoulders. James gave me a great, affordable price and let me know that I can switch within 100 days if Im not 100% happy with the mattress I chose, and could swap for the other one that I had my eye on. We had the pleasure of working w/ Van and he was unbelievable!Previously, we had been to several mattress stores where we encountered typical sales people...pushy, instilling urgency that wasnt really there, etc.Our experience w/ Van was that he was so conversational and not pushy whatsoever...he listened to us more than he spoke and thats why we ended up going w/ this mattress at this store.We bought a king mattress that had been previously returned for ~50% off...delivery was as planned. We like the mattress a lot.The only item that we really had any issue w/ was the mattress couldve been cleaned a little bit better. But perhaps some of the dust was acquired while moving in the truck? 🤷🏻

It’s nice not having to guess when it comes to something you will use every day. At Urban Mattress we know what to expect when it comes to their brands, sales team, and show room. We bought a mattress a few years ago and are grateful for it every night. We liked it so much we bought a guest bed in the same style. There’s dozens of places to choose from when shopping for a mattress. I guess they all could have beds you would like, but I know urban mattress has one I love.

Lets face it, finding the right mattress is downright painful. I spent months researching and bought online only to be sorely (pun intended) disappointed. Thankfully, I found Urban Mattress. James knocked it out of the park!! He was incredibly knowledgeable and patient.He had me try three versions of the Bloom, then rotated in various toppers/pillows until we found the perfect setup (The Dahlia with a to-die-for mattress pad). Im finally sleeping pain-free again. A happy ending to Goldilocks and the three beds. Thank you, James!I did have a couple of issues with delivery (incorrect/missing items) but both times they rectified the issue swiftly and with excellent customer service. Heck, a manager (I think, I forget his name) hand delivered a mattress protector after the store closed because it wasnt delivered with my bed and he knew I was worried about my dogs ruining the new mattress. The mattress is incredibly comfortable - I wish I had found these guys years ago. But the service is what sets them apart. We had such a great experience! The entire process was easy and no-pressure. And when there was a slight delay in delivery, James our sales person brought the mattress over himself that night! We were blown away!

Weve now bought 2 beds (a king and queen) across 6 years from Urban Mattress South Austin, and have really enjoyed the experience both times. We particularly appreciate the straight forward showroom and no-pressure shopping experience.In both cases we had a mattress selected within 30 minutes, and in the case of the king we got it for the price of a queen because it was used for 1 day before being returned for being too firm.We will definitely be shopping here again for our next mattress.

Had a very good and easy experience shopping for a mattress. When we first tried out the mattress we ended up going with we were immediately like “wow! This is so nice!”. Appreciate the better quality materials and that it’s made in America. Our salesman was nice and knowledgeable and sounded like Matt McConaughey so that was pretty cool too!

We purchased our Highland Plush mattress from Troy at Urban Mattresses in South Austin. We tried out A LOT of mattresses at a lot of the different mattress stores in the area. This mattress was our favorite out of all the ones we tested (We tried all of the big named stores in the area and even looked at a few of the bed in a box brand stores) as I am a side sleeper and my wife is a back sleeper, so we needed a mattress that would work with both. Troy was very patient and a lot more chill than most mattress salesmen we worked with over our mattress search. He knew a lot about the mattresses and after telling him what our needs were he narrowed it down to about 2 mattresses to pick from..and he nailed it. Would recommend supporting this business..there was no pressure at all throughout the entire process.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Urban Mattress. We purchased 2 king mattresses a few months ago and have loved them so much that we ordered a 3rd king mattress for our home in Houston. Adam has been so helpful, and they delivered the king mattress to Houston the same week. We just ordered 2 twin mattresses for a guest room and cant wait to get them!The quality of their products is better than any I have found at other stores. Pretty much any of the mattresses at Urban Mattress would be a great purchase; it seems like Adam is very particular about what they carry. I called Urban Mattress needing a quick delivery to my mothers house before guests arrived. They delivered an excellent mattress the very same day. All of this was done over the phone, and they knew their mattresses so well as to get me the firm one I needed at a good price. Their delivery person was great, as well. I recommend them highly, especially since I got a run around with delivery times and a long wait with a big box retailer.

They were wonderful. Great experience. They werent pushy in any way. They let us run around the store trying out different mattresses and giving us useful information when we asked. They have a wonderful selection and, of course, there is the beer and other stuff.We ultimately went home with the wrong mattress, but they have a 90 day return policy that let us go back and get a different one. It was probably a loss to them, so the least I can do is tell you how amazing this company is. They even donate part of their proceeds to charity.

We have bought three AMAZING beds from Shane and his group at Urban Mattress. The quality of beds they offer for the price cannot be beat anywhere else in Austin. They offer Tempurpedics, beds made of bamboo and all kinds of natural lines. Its handy to have all types of beds (traditional and ergonomic) in the same store and to be able to take the time to compare them all. The staff is always patient and accommodating; I stopped in several times to lay on the same mattress before purchasing- I was never hustled to rushed out of the store. The best part if buying from Urban Mattress is that they are locally owned and give back to the community.

Adam was great. He was patient with us as we looked for something that both fit our desire to be conscious of the environmental impact of our purchase and fit our budget. Hes very knowledgeable and provided some excellent advice. The purchase experience alone would have garnered a 5 star review, but when we got the mattress home it wasnt the right fit for us. There was nothing wrong with it, but after sleeping on it for a couple of nights we called Adam up to get his take on our experience. He immediately understood where we were coming from and suggested an alternative. The exchange process was smooth and painless. Incredible experience buying a new mattress here. I had no idea what I was really looking for when I walked in to the South Austin location. I told him how I normally sleep and what price range I was looking for. He asked me a few more questions about how I sleep or what I do and do not like when sleeping. He then showed me the four beds that would most likely fit me best. And he was spot on. He allowed me to lay down on all of them for some time making sure it wasnt just an initial feel that I liked about it. He did not try and up sell me, he did not try to push me to my unnecessary things, and the price range of beds he showed me was the price range I told him. After a month of having it I am sleeping so much better and could not be happier with my purchase. Absolutely buy your bed from here.

Adam is a good representative and was extremely helpful. After looking and testing out several mattresses I took a nap on the mattress I wanted to buy. I liked it and left and came back about 3 weeks later and laid on it again. I still really liked it and decided to buy the mattes. There is no haggle pricing and also a portion of every purchase is donated to one of several charities. I chose to donate mine to a charity that helps feed people which is important to me.

Ive had my mattress for about 6 months, and it is the best mattress Ive ever had. My experience shopping at Urban Mattress was also just as wonderful. Store personal were friendly, not pushy, helpful, and down to earth. The price was also very reasonable, compared to other big chain mattress stores. What impressed me was that I got such a great deal, despite no special sales going on at the time. I was able to buy a queen size mattress, foundation, and mattress cover, FOR LESS than what it would have cost for just the mattress at a place like Mattress Firm. I was looking for supportive pillows and was referred by a friend to check out Urban Mattress.Carlos was very helpful in picking out pillows that met my specifications. He gave me plenty of time to test and analyze each pillow plus he answered all my questions.I ended up finding pillows I loved and just needed to wait for them to arrive. The concept and business model was explained to us and we liked the fact that it is locally owned, naturally sourced, and contributes back to the community. These fellows are excellent. I bought a mattress from them over a year ago and I still love falling asleep on it.I went in and told them what I like, and they made suggestions, and told me the good things about each mattress as well as any minor buyer beware things. They were super honest and accommodating through the whole process. They have a great selection.When I bought the mattress, I decided to keep my old one for a guest bedroom. Just about a year later, I called them up and asked them if they can pick up my old mattress because I didnt need it anymore. They said sure, no charge! The rep who worked with my wife and I was extremely knowledgeable, and because he wasnt getting a commission or SPIF it was easy to take him at his word regarding the respective qualities of the beds we were looking at. The entire process was pleasant and fun and every bit as exciting as buying a new mattress should be. We got our bed quickly and are completely satisfied, and are even planning to return for another bed in about a year. I cant see going to any other mattress store ever again.

I found exactly what I was looking for, the price was incredibly low (compared to large mattress company nearby, it was THREE times less) and caries a TEN YEAR warranty!! The competition only offered four. They delivered and set up my mattress for FREE exactly on the date and time I requested. They also give back to the community by giving 2% of the sale to one of their local non-profit partners!! You cant go wrong here!!

Urban Mattress gets overall very excellent reviews, so I think I just drew the short straw on this order.I bought a $6300 mattress, platforms, and bedding from Urban Mattress for a high end custom bedframe I had built.Delivery was scheduled 5 days out. When the day came, I was called by the delivery team 33 minutes before the end of the 3 delivery hour window saying that they dont have the platforms in stock. They delivered the mattress and said that Id be called later to schedule another delivery sometime next week. I immediately drove back to Urban Mattress, sure that I could solve the problem quicker than sometime next week.I suggested that they might have other platforms in the dimensions I need in stock right now, and they did. I paid the difference for a different set of platforms and have a new delivery scheduled for this week. Im capable of attempting a pickup myself even earlier than that, but it sounds like in-person pickup would be complicated for their warehouse team to coordinate so Ill wait for the next delivery window.The sales process was easy, pleasant, friendly, and pressure-free. The showroom environment is very nice. The staff are attentive.It is possible that an ERP failure will result in your order not being in stock on the scheduled delivery day. Allow a ~7 day variance around receiving your delivery. When there are last minute problems, be ready to suggest workarounds / change orders / find ways to fit fulfillment in to your schedule. This is certainly the case with any dealer in town, thus I consider my experience average.

These guys are great. I went in the Saturday after Thanksgiving dreading the experience of buying a new mattress. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. My new mattress was delivered the next day without a hitch. They even hauled off my old mattress. Plus theyre local : )

This was the final stop on my search for a new mattress, and my last one too. I had been looking all over town for a good mattress at a decent price and no where else did I experience the level of customer service that I found at Urban Mattress. I came in and chatted with Adam for a bit while he was having me try out mattresses around the showroom, he was not pushy or gimmicky as I found quite a few places to be. After returning a few weeks later, Adam again was very welcoming and not aggressive in any way. We settled on a Tempurpedic and have been extremely pleased with our purchase. We thought it was very cool that the store donates a portion of the proceeds of the sale to a local charity of our choice. Our experience with the store couldnt have been more pleasant and we would recommend Urban Mattress and Adam to anyone currently in the market for a new mattress.

Adam was super informative and patient with my wife and I. He walked us through all of the mattresses in our price range, noting any differences and explaining material types and thicknesses. We never felt any pressure to buy on the spot. Urban Mattress is a great place if youre looking to avoid those used car salesman types. They dont do those blow out sales, so you always know what their prices are, and you dont have to worry about missing out on that one time deal.We purchased a queen size Conforma Cool 3.5 gel infused memory foam mattress and couldnt be happier! Before this mattress neither I, nor my wife could sleep throughout an entire night. Now we hardly move. Its super comfortable, and it keeps you cool. We also love our Bedgear Balance 2.0 pillows. Urban Mattress even gave us one of the pillow for free just for checking in on Yelp!.Overall, I would highly recommend Urban Mattress! Great prices. Great products. Great staff.

I talked to Adam, who could not have been more helpful, when I went to the Urban Mattress on Brodie Lane.Its true what they say on their website by providing a stress-free environment; for one whos wary of salespeople (and for one whos dad is super skeptical of salespeople), I could easily rank this mattress purchase with one of the top 3 sales experiences of my life. I didnt feel pressured to make any sort of quick purchase, Adam and his colleagues were very patient with my questions, and they went above and beyond in making sure we understood what we were getting and we were actually getting something we wanted.I got the full size Sherwood Stafford for my new apartment, and I seriously have not had a single problem with the product. The only two times that I actually thought about my mattress were the first night I slept on it and while writing this review - I have no complaints about this product whatsoever.So in summary, if anyone I know needs to purchase a mattress, Im recommending Urban Mattress. Fantastic service, great products, and they even let you choose what charity you want to donate a portion of the sale to. My son is in college and needed a new bed. I was worried that him being that age and moving often and then just leaving the bed if it wouldnt fit in his car or something stupid like that...anyways, they were so wonderful in the store. They helped us pick out the perfect bed for his situation...a full-size, 8 foam mattress with a bed frame that breaks down really compactly. The bed can be rolled up to move. And the price was like $500 for all of it. They financed it too for 9 months with no interest. I would definitely buy another mattress here. Plus they are a local company.

I went to buy my very first mattress and after shopping around the internet, I realized getting a mattress for cheap and being able to transport it with a small car, into a small apartment was going to be a nightmare.I walked into Urban Mattress, thinking I needed to rent a truck, because Id found a good mattress for the right price. I was shocked to find out it was free delivery(all the delivery guys were cool and professional) and setup, the box spring was included, and for around $50 I got the warranty which comes with a special cover. The guy who helped me from start to finish was the nicest man you could imagine. Even though I had hardly any budget he still walked me through all the models and never even once tried to up-sell me.The best possible experience I could imagine when buying a mattress. When I have more money and am looking for a newer, bigger one, after Ive worn this one out, I will for sure be coming back to this local spot.

I cant say enough good things about Urban Mattress. I felt good about buying a mattress from these guys given that they are locally owned with with a portion of all proceeds going to local charity. At the store, they spent time educating me about different mattress types and worked within my budget without upselling me on anything. I spent some time browsing other nearby mattress stores, just to do my due diligence, and felt pressured and noticed prices that were marked up considerably with various sales/gimmicks. Urban Mattress prices their products reasonably all the time, and has a very laid back, helpful attitude. Their delivery process was excellent as well, with free delivery to my 3rd floor apartment, and hauling off my old mattress at no extra charge. Its clear they are in the business of making customers happy. I will certainly buy all future mattresses from Urban Mattress, and highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a new mattress.

The atmosphere in Urban Mattress is exactly what you would want when searching for the perfect mattress. While their products are eco-conscious, and free of harmful formaldehydes and flame retardant chemicals, they are also high quality and very affordable. The shop is warm and quiet, and the staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. Customers are encouraged to lay down to try out the feel of each type of mattress, and there is free coffee available to you after you wake up! :o) We have been sleeping on our memory foam mattress and new bed frame for over a year and absolutely love the feel and the style it has added to our bedroom. We also recently purchased a twin bed for our two year old, and he is so excited to finally have a big boy bed. No complaints about this place! Ill never shop anywhere else for another mattress!

My partner and I have two completely different comfort levels when it comes to sleeping, and the gentleman at Urban Mattress was able to help us find a very comfortable mattress at a very comfortable price. Weve only had it for a month, but were both getting the best sleep weve had in ages.

I cannot begin to express the amount of gratitude I have for this business. Shane, the owner/manager has gone above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my mother was/is taken care of. My mother bought a mattress a little over a year ago, and has recently discovered that it just isnt the right mattress for her. I wrote to Urban Mattress and told her story. I wasnt expecting much in the form of a reply or a solve for the issues, but I wanted to just see how they reacted to the situation, and maybe my mother could get some sort of a price break in buying a new mattress. Well, I heard back from the owner within a few hours. He was very empathetic to our situation and wanted to maked it right. I could really tell that Shane and his team have a genuine care for their customers, that is hard to come by with businesses these days. It is very refreshing to know that companies like Urban Mattress are out there. They are run by good people, with even better intentions. I will forever be a customer of Urban Mattress now, and am just in awe by the customer support and care. My mother is getting a new mattress now, hand picked by the owner, free of charge, with the correct specifications and features that will work for her. I cannot even begin to thank you all.
