These guys are the best. I hesitantly came in because I was having trouble with a color and was greeted with nothing but friendliness and over-the-top customer service. I’m talking the kind of customer service that just doesn’t seem exist anywhere these days. Jose and Sanders took a ton of time to help me troubleshoot and make a game plan, and they replaced the paint that was not working out perfectly. This will definitely be my go-to location going forward. They know their paint. They’re nice. They’re customer-service oriented. Win-win-win!
I will never buy paint from anywhere else, ever. The staff and products at Rooster are 10/10. I gave them a try after yet another bad experience with the staff at Home Depot, and it was such a refreshing experience. The staff are experts on their products, the products themselves are just better overall, and their ordering/pickup process is quick and easy. After I had ordered a can of paint and realized after painting a wall that it didn’t match the sample color I’d purchased, I gave them a call and they replaced the off-color can that day, no questions asked. Absolutely top-knotch.

They didn’t have 3 gallons of flat ultra spec on hand on Monday morning!They didn’t Call to tell me this until after I drove all the way over there and pulled into the parking lot.I understand, things happen, but as a contractor, and this being the only nearby Benjamin Moore, I rely on them to have basic contractor paints on hand. Especially for a very small order.I drove all the way up north to Clement’s Benjamin Moore. They were awesome.

I was given Sanders, the managers name, by a NYC interior designer. He is AMAZING. After seeing pictures and hearing my ideas about my house he helped me pick the PERFECT colors for every room, ceiling and trim in my house. He then gave me step by step instructions on how to prep and paint. On Saturday he even stayed after closing to help outfit me with painting supplies. In short, if you work with Sanders and heed his advice youre sure to love the results

I recently decided to repaint my home and checked out Sherwin Williams, Lowes and Home Depot. I finally decided (after too much time on pinterest) that I wanted to check out Benjamin Moore paint. When I walked in I was greeted by a friendly staff. I decided to go look at all the color options when I was approached by Jose. He was very helpful in helping me pick some color samples. After I added the samples to my already full wall of samples, I decided to go with Revere Pewter for my bathroom, but a Sherwin Williams color for my living room, kitchen and dining room. That being said I really wanted the Benjamin Moore quality. Jose told me if I brought in the remainder of the sample, they would color match. Though it was a little bit if a wait for my paint, it was worth it because he did an excellent job with the match! While I was waiting I had quite a few questions and he gave me a ton of helpful advice and didnt once try to upsell me on anything. The staff really does go above and beyond to help their customers! I will definitely be returning when Im ready to paint the rest of the house!
Simply and truly outstanding knowledge and customer service. To fully appreciate the weight of that statement, let me share with you my experience. I am in the middle of repainting kitchen cabinets. Ive previously repainted cabinets using the Advance Satin paint using white and ecru colors with outstanding results, this time however, Im using a black and the results aren’t what I was expecting. Working with darker paints always produces a few more challenges than the lighter colors because they SHOW EVERYTHING. The shine on the satin finish in black is much more than I was anticipating, even with the expected higher shine found in darker colors. I did not want to start the entire process all over or toss the expensive paint I had already purchased. After doing some more research, I had questions about switching from the Advance to the Aura product. I called a few other Benjamin Moore stores (the first ones that came up near my location on google maps) to inquire. I was disappointed when the employees of those stores were unable to answer my questions and were unable to give me the difference in drying and curing times between the two products. Although the Congress Avenue store is quite a hike from where I am located, I remembered the excellent customer service I’d previously received when I had to make a special trip to that store for paint unavailable at other Benjamin Moore retailers, so I called hoping they would be able to answer my questions. José answered the phone, not only was he able to help me with the information I was looking for about, he was able to discuss with me the where I was at in the project and how best to achieve my desired end product but also how to achieve that with the least amount of added expense as possible. He went above and beyond by mixing me a sample of the Aura product, providing a painted sample, and boxing up all the additional products I would need to complete my job, simply so I could compare the end product of the Aura with the end product of the Advance in black. His knowledge of the cabinet painting procedures, dry and cure times, correct tools to use, and how far along I could go before switching to the sprayer was awesome. His expertise and customer service was both refreshing and reassuring in the middle of a project that hasn’t gone right since day one. I’ve done several home improvement projects over the years and have encountered many questions and hiccups with paints, he is by far the most knowledgeable and helpful paint expert I have ever met. Additionally, the other employees in the store, D and Sanders were also quite friendly and knowledgeable as well. After this experience, chatting with them about paint projects, and observing them interact with other customers, I have complete confidence in these employees and this store.
Dudes. I’ve never had a better experience at a paint store. Josè is super knowledgeable and took a lot of time to help this amateur get the best results! Knowing I’m not a professional, he wasn’t at all condescending or patronizing. He explained things in terms I understood in a way that made me feel like a pro! I can’t wait to paint my cabinets now! Thank you!Oh and he even carried my paint to my car in the pouring rain because I’m visibly pregnant :) so kind!
Rooster Paint Center employs people that are knowledgeable as well as helpful. I was looking for a certain book of wallpaper. After calling around to other clueless paint stores, I called Rooster. The call was answered by a cheery employee who even had the wallpaper book ready for me when I walked in the store.

Roosters is listed as a Kemiko distributor so I went there to buy my acid stain for concrete. Turns out they were $20 cheaper than the Kemiko website for the same product and they let me swap out one of the gallon jugs for a different color, no questions asked. The young gentleman at the counter educated me on clear coat selections and Im very happy with the results.Nice folks and that goes along way now a days, thanks guys :)

I dont want to disparage any business, and this store was well stocked and the stiff was nice. However the owner didnt allow the prices of ANYTHING to be displayed so you have to ask an employee the price of anything you are interested in. That just wasnt a pleasant experience.
