Its a nice place to visit but make sure you have a permit to conceal and carry, cause people that live in Baltimore city are just awaiting their next victim. About eight years ago a school from the county was planning a trip to downtown inner harbor, aquarium and science center, but a week before the trip there were violent acts going on, crowds of adolescence beating people up, pushing elderly people in the water, and so much more. So the schools cancelled the trips. One more thing, the Boat Clubs dont have security neither! Just From Experience.

Caveat Emptor - Let the buyer beware!!First of all the local sale representative covered all the upside and gave me a number of half truths. For example, the training. Being a novice, I was lead to believe I would get all the training I needed. The club provided an hour and a half! When I request additional training they are always too busy. I asked if the boats were covered by insurance. Yes but... the member is responsible for the first $1,500-$4,000 I found out later. I was told that you can cancel out of the membership for a $1,000, turns out it is $1,000 per YEAR left on the membership term. They advertise unlimited use of boats. There turns out to be limits of reservations you can have on local club boats and reciprocal club boats.More half truths: They sell marina amenities such as swimming pool use. You guessed it, only Mon-Thursday no weekends. And the marina management will throw you out and humiliate you in front of everyone if you do not have this information. If there is a small craft advisory, the dock help will gleefully cancel your reservation and close you out of the dock area.If the readers of this review are thinking a joining Carefree Boat club make sure you get the whole picture before you join.

Very good decision to join in 2020. Never boated before. Average going out twice/week. Has really given us greater appreciation of the area. Docklands like Nico, Chrissi, Grace and Chase are super helpful, patient and incredibly pleasant.

Recently I was on a family vacation in Baltimore. Being a member at another CBC, I used the reservation app to schedule a boat. When we arrived, we were given a super clean and comfortable pontoon boat to tour the inner harbor and Fort McHenry. A great family experience made better by Logan; he purchased new life presevers for my kids so that we could get out on the water!A great location and great experience!The reciprocal benefits of CBC are terrific.Thank youTony
