Got the Horsemans Head as the seasonal and its a fantastic cup of coffee. Also its a very cool atmosphere inside and adds to the cool vibe they have
What a great place! If i lived in Baltimore this would be my go-to breakfast and coffee place. Super friendly and coffee knowledgeable staff. Wonderfully creative menu from a chef who obviously cares. Highly recommend this place. Sitting outside is ideal.
I have been going here occasionally for years and its always been really pleasant. The baked goods are usually high quality. Today I had a pretty awful cookie, tasted like a bunch of grocery store brand semisweet chips. That was disappointing given the price. Im hoping this was just a one time fluke. The true unfortunate part is that it seems like the employees are overworked. I dont really see any breaks happening or any place for employees to sit, and behind the smiles I can see the stress and exhaustion. I work in the industry too and I know the feeling.
I ate here with my daughter on Saturday. All tables were outside. We changed tables once because the table cloth had visible food stains and grease on it. We moved to a stone top table that did have coffee stains on it but no food stains or crumbs. The whole time we were there we saw staff clear tables of dishes but not once did staff clean and sanitize the tables. We were there about 2 hours. COVID protocols should have at least ensured tables be sanitized after each use. The Cuban sandwiches were good but way overpriced. I will not go back.
Ive had delicious coffee drinks from Artifact previously but tried an Assam black tea that was perfectly brewed with my desired sweetener and steamed milk for my last trip. Great service and perfectly crafted drinks! I love stopping here anytime Im in Hampden.
Best golden milk of my life. DELICIOUS!
Great vibe and drink options. Yummy breakfast options
Was having a sad day and then I ate the poncho & lefty which is possibly the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Thank you! ❤️
Things have gone downhill. Not sure what is going on in the kitchen, but last time it was a cubano that had oil sponges as the bread. This time thought I was safe ordering a salad...sure is fresh! So fresh that it looks like unwashed, unprepped spinach stuffed into a plastic container. Ended up bringing it home, washing, rinsing, cutting and then adding things to make my $16 salad edible (added chicken).Coffee and baked goods are still ok, but no more food for me!
Had a great brunch there. Interesting and unique sandwiches. Minus 1 star for not enough flies control outside.
This place used to be my favorite cafe in Baltimore. Now they get my order wrong every time and there is a very long wait. Id give 2 stars but the food keeps making me sick. Not worth it anymore
Quiet and Cozy place for quick brunch, wait staff was helpful and provided good suggestions. Outdoor parking. Limited outdoor seating. Simple menu with a good amount of choices to cater to everyone. Has WiFi. Food was tasty. Not a good place for large groups. I would come back to try other choices on the menu.
Amazing coffee shop, the coffee is great, the employees are kind and attentive. awesome, I found my neighborhood coffee shop
Getting your food is a slow process but everyone working there is super nice, helpful and friendly! The clientele can be either snobby and stuck up at times but the employees and food definitely make it better! The coffee is good it taste like... coffee. The basil creamy-iced coffee with basil is good! I think some items on the menu changes daily. I loved the breakfast Bahn Mi and went back the next day to get it but it wasnt on the menu. The pastries are good as well, I would pick it up in the morning since they do sit out under a glass top and is more fresh in the morning. Also, I like the oatmeal...Im basic I know, but for $5 it is huge! And filling! They put blueberries and maple syrup on it. You cant go wrong! The bacon is thick cut, everything is local and fresh, the waiters are great and the chefs are bomb you cant go wrong.
Artifact Coffee, despite the name, is a full service café, not just a coffee house. Personally, I dont like the taste of coffee so I cant comment about the coffee in this restaurant. I had tea. It was very good. I also had tomato basil soup, also very good, and a grilled cheese sandwich, delicious. You have to know about this place in order to find it. The location is not where people passing by are likely to notice it. But your telephone GPS will find it for you, and its worth the trip.
Small and cozy place to grab a snack, meal or coffee. On the weekends youll likely find quite a few people there, so you might have to wait a little while, but you can grab a coffee or pastry while you eat. The food and coffee did seem a bit too oily for my taste, but tasted really good. Super hipster place, didnt have ketchup as tomatoes arent in season
The Southern Belle breakfast sandwich was a salad perched precariously on a narrow slice of very crusty toast. There was no way to eat it as finger food. It came with a plastic knife and fork, so I suppose the concept was do-it-yourself croutons. Late-comers had snagged the only open tables while we were inside ordering, so that wasnt going to work. I took the food back to the counter, and no one seemed to care. If they had managed a second slice of bread, I would have been happy enough, instead of writing a one-star review.
A place I have loved to go to for years now. Before the pandemic I’d come and get a comfy spot and grab delicious food. Nowadays I grab the food and enjoy it at home. Regardless I love the place!
Its quaint enough but more of Baltimores over priced underwhelming eateries where you are paying for the quaint atmosphere. I ordered a English muffin toasted dark and paid 3 quid for a ciabatta sandwich roll barely shown to the toaster. Can someone tell them that ciabatta bread is not an english muffin please?
One of my favorite places in Baltimore. Amazing food and pastries.
After hearing many wonderful reviews about this charming rustic coffeehouse, I had to check it for myself. I must say that Artifact serves a great selection of coffees, lattes, and teas. The staff is friendly and the environment is just right. Great music and plenty of parking.I tried their Fishpepper Mocha Latte off their seasonal offerings and their sautéed green salad without ham during my visit. I really enjoyed them both. Well done!
Visiting this Coffee shop was an ideal decision indeed. I relax and feel comfortable with their assistance. I was not mistaken about choosing this Coffee shop to chill out. It was really hard to find such a qualified place with my taste. I am deeply impressed by how they handled their service correctly with no hassles at all.
I was looking for a relaxing coffee shop/cafe to have some coffee and breakfast at. I found Artifact Coffee, the website was intriguing. When I arrived I was greeted with a smile, they had an excellent staff. My waiter checked on me often, I wish I remembered his name. I ordered a cupachino with CBD, it was exactly what I needed on a windy day. They have a large variety or coffee and teas to select from. I ordered the breakfast plate. Unfortunately they did not have turkey, only pork options. The side of vegetables was excellent. My favorite dish was the jam they had provided for my toast. I believe it was raspberry. Before I had left I ended up buying a jar of blueberry jam. I would recomend this cozy cafe to anyone who is looking to connect with friends and have a drink or have some quit time on their laptop. The cafe provides free wifi and plenty of sitting areas including outdoors.I will definitely be back again.Thank you for the new experience!
Absolute favorite in the area! Great good and coffee. Service is always polite and nice, but usually very very slow.
My husband and I always love coming here. The vibes are immaculate, the service is exceptional, and they put thought into every item on the menu, and it shows.
Nice eclectic spot. I got an english muffin sandwich and added bacon and kale. I had a couple bites of my husbands biscuit sandwich and the biscuit did not disappoint! I was not a fan of the hot chocolate but my husband really enjoyed his coffee. Sadly I forgot to take a picture .
Artifact Coffee and Jolanta were a pleasure to work with. Jolanta’s knowledge and expertise really helped us ease the stress of wedding planning. From the very first meeting, we knew Jolanta would be able to help create a wedding day that was exactly what we had envisioned.Jolanta always listened to us and her suggestions were spot on! Her attention to detail was impeccable! We were blown away by the setup of our ceremony, food and drinks at cocktail hour, and the “pork taco” station dinner for our reception. Our friends and family were also thoroughly impressed with the food and drinks! We are forever grateful to Jolanta and Artifact Coffee for helping us create a wedding day that we will always remember!
I had an hour to kill in the area, and was advised to walk over to this place. Very cool ambiance and extremely friendly staff. I tried the Golden Milk, a hot mixture of ginger, turmeric, maple and milk, and ordered some deviled eggs. The eggs were nice and mustardy just the way I like them. The golden milk was something new. Sweet and spicy with a maple flavor that was very pleasant. Overall the menu was great with breakfast stuff as well as a full coffee and tea offering along with beer and wine. Definitely worth a visit, I will be back.
Cozy cafe in a refurbished mill. Love the stone walls and soft lighting. I got the maple latte - just the right amount of sweet- and friend got the mint matcha latte - also good and tasted like fresh mint. Food is good as well. The quiche was creamy and full of veggies and cheese, and breakfast sandwich with sausage, egg, and cheese has some of the best sausage around.
Great food, but a long wait on a busy Sunday! Chocolate chai latte was A+.
I ❤️ this little coffee house. Perfect place to meet clients and get some work done in Hampden. Music is always on point. Everything on menu made from scratch. Counter is always filled with fresh baked pastry, variety of lunch specials, exotic coffee, mixed drinks for that Sunday boozy brunch thing 😜 Very creative atmosphere!
Get The Italian sandwich, its crazy crazy good and their root beer is amazing. The beef is insanely high quality, absolutely delicious, the beefsteak tomatoes are fresh and juicy and sweet and the location is cute and quiet and really quite lovely for such a busy city. Really great place to go for lunch or breakfast, a little pricey but so worth it
I had a delicious latte prepared by a very nice barista. The store was small but I enjoyed it very well since Im a minimalist. So far the best coffee shop here in Maryland.
Nice place to chill and have coffee
The window pick-up was easy and handled super well with extra outdoor seating. Thanks so much for the extra procautions. Love being able to get a n amazing coffee out without stressing.
Great coffee shop
Food and coffee was delicious but the staff seemed bothered to take our order. Maybe it was the plexiglass between us? 🤷
Amazing place, coffe and food
This place has some fantastic coffee and even better breakfast sandwiches. In normal times, can get pretty crowded so youre advised to arrive early to get a seat. Have a very easy and efficient takeout operation right now.
The food was very good, nice ambiance and decor. The drink that I had was very tasty, and the parking is straight. Get there early, as the spot is rather small. You can go there and chill with a drink and read, write, or simply chill. I would definitely recommend!
Great food and coffee
I came in with a group of 10 ladies on a Saturday morning, which presented a challenge for the Artifact Coffee staff since there was not a lot of room for a group that size. I really appreciate the way the staff did their best to find us a table and serve us. They were kind and considerate even when Im sure they felt overwhelmed. All the ladies in my group had a great time and loved Artifact. It continues to be one of my favorite places.
Morning coffee is probably the best tasting coffee Ive had since moving here 10 years ago 🙂 Very tasty and their variety of pastries are fresh and tasty.Nice selection of breakfast and lunch choices and you can order and take out or sit in the seating area where someone comes to take your order. They have a good sized parking lot so no need to look for street parking if its your first time there (unless its full of course).
The best Toasted Marshmellow Hot Chocolate and Sorghum cookies!
A high-class coffee joint. I wish they had more than one size of each drink, but they make a perfect mocha every time. If it was slightly cheaper Id go there more frequently.
Good coffee.
Great coffee place in Balmore. Good lattes. Excellent service.
The coffee and pastries are great. Unfortunately, the coffee only comes in one small size. There is also usually a pretty sizeable wait time. Definitely worth a visit if you have the time to kill.
I loved this place! Literally everything was great. The service, atmosphere, coffee, food, you name it. I had this salad with roasted greens and an egg on it and my word it was so amazing I cant get over it. I recommend Artifact Coffee to everyone.
I love the design of everything even if coffees😍 one of my favorite coffee place
One of a kind place truly. Very relaxing atmosphere and the staff are really nice. The coffee always taste amazing and everything is very reasonable priced.
It was so delicious. Service is consistently great. Prices were fair.
I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Excellent coffee. The caramel cinnamon morning bun is on my list of must-haves before you die.
Nice place, just had a regular coffee, it was fine. Some of the food I saw looked delicious and it looked like the ones eating it were enjoying the food. To bad I ate before going for coffee. Next time will have to have the food.
Was invited for a post user group meeting dinner over the weekend. One of the most amazing farm to table restaurant with vegetarian options that I came across. I do not know how I missed this place after staying in MD for over 8 years. Best American vegetarian options that I have ever tested in US. Amazing environment, cozy and homely. Best staff friendly accommodating and courteous. Will definitely visit next time I am in MD and would definitely recommend to vegetarians and non vegetarian alike. Coffee and desert options were great. Wine and beer options were awesome as well
Lovely staff and atmosphere
Beautiful space for coffee. One of the impressive places in baltimore for quality coffee. Rustic wood and hot coffee make the heart warm. It is busy at times, but has many places. They have an old typewriter in the entrance.. type something if you have time. Nice feeling.
My favorite place for coffee/breakfast. Best coffee in town. Best breakfast sandwich. I appreciate their dedication to local/fresh/organic food. Love the staff. Love that its off the beaten path. Basically my favorite place in town. Thanks for all you do. 💐
A wonderful, quiet ambiance to experience. To work on your laptop, to enjoy catching up with a friend, to read the paper with your partner...love the vibe! And the offerings of course ☺️ the oatmeal with a croissant or English muffin is my go-to!
Smart and safe in person ordering!
Great place to hangout with friends. Food was great and their coffee was amazing. The atmosphere of this place was enjoyable. I love vibes here. Highly Recommend them.
Great breakfast sandwiches!
Loved this place. Loved the atmosphere with old school music playing in the background from the record player. Perused some of the music crates and liked what I saw.And this place is not just stylistic, the food was impressive. Try the Appalachian Spring sandwich with the fish pepper spiced mocha.Hope you enjoy as I did.Im definitely going back. Better pics next time.
Everything was phenomenal...the food, the atmosphere, the service, the wine.
One of my favorite spots for a breakfast sandwich. Nice people. Cute spot.
Great coffee! I like the Japanese iced. The pastries are wonderful but you need to get there earlier to get them because they sell out.
