I was very excited to find this place as I am on a pretty strict vegan diet and really needed my recommended daily shake for breakfast. I was disappointed I was only getting a shake as it looked like their food was amazing. I hope that next time I come to town I can try a meal here.All that being said they were very accommodating to work with me as I told them what types of things I needed to have in my shake. They were great at explaining what was there and how I could customize the shake for myself.The shake turned out to be amazing. I wish I could bring this restaurant home with me it was so good. I also got a cup of coffee that was delicious too. I will definitely return on my next visit.

Try the chocolate eclairs! Their pastry chef is heaven sent. I was hoping to find tiramisu for my partner. The friendly counter staff said I can order it in the future with 48+ hours notice (the more notice the better). Great vibes in the shop and fabulous location on Bay Street. Perfect place to grab a light bite and go for a stroll.

The workers always super friendly and get our food out fast— i’ve never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for my food :) also their chai is probably the best i’ve had

We were celebrating a Birthday from out of town. Erin was exceptional in both communication and ideas for our unique situation. Our cupcakes were delicious! In addition, we tried a few other items upon arrival. The items were fresh and delicious! The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. We will be back!

A little disappointed. Didnt see much organic food although the website it had some. The overnight oats were way to sweet and the quiche was very salty and broccoli was ground to a pulp (literally). I also bought a power salad but havent eaten it yet. Hopefully, that will be tasty and if so will update my review.The place is lovely, however, and service was exceptional.

My experience was wonderful as I was searching for healthy vegan choices and meat alternatives. Loved the taco salad, tuna salad and the juice bar choices. The place is exceptionally clean and the design attractive both inside and outside. They have covered tables outdoors. Its a bit pricey...but worth it. Service was good and staff friendly. The location is awesome on a corner a block from the beautiful view of the shady waterfront park (bring some chairs!) so you can walk there and/or historic downtown too.

What a lovely lunch place with a nice patio. Even plenty of shade available! Dont get tempted by the great food offering and order too much - portions are huge! A soup can be a lunch alone, and we took more than half of our sandwich home after having a soup. Everything tasted delicious. What a neat idea to make a veg Reuben with beets. Loved it!-

We love herban market! Excellent gluten free, vegan and sugar free alternatives. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s expected for the quality of food you’re getting.

Great menu of plant based entrees and deserts. Customer service was very accommodating with helping with menu items. Super clean with nice atmosphere. The beet Ruben was very tasty and the vegetable quesadillas was wonderful. Save room for desert the beet chocolate cupcake was delicious.

I regularly visit Lil Beaufort. Its the old world charm I knew when living in the EU... Beaufort being the conservative version. It was surprised to chance upon Herban this visit. The staff has some proper barista training... only place around for good coffee or espresso. They source from a local roaster who has a quality product. They also offer a healthy menu and gluten-free options and no use of white flour with their regular in-house pastry choices.

You HAVE to go here! Recommended by my sister, the food is excellent. The beet rueben was fantastic. Loved the molasses cookie. We went twice during our short stay in Beaufort. Well be back!

One of my favorite places in Beaufort county! Im vegan, and I love all the options they have. Good vibes all around and really really delicious food. Ive had the cashew quesadilla, falafel salad, beet Reuben, tempeh BLT, chocolate cupcake, and coffee. Everything is fabulous! Wish there was one in Bluffton or HHI.

Vegan/plant-based peeps. This place is a MUST when you’re going thru or staying in Beaufort. We were there only for one night and ate at the Herban Market TWICE. Veggie wrap - do it. Salads are wonderful. Soups - spot one. Desserts are phenomenal. Great staff, indoor/outdoor seating. Just go!

Five stars, hands down.It’s a beautiful, urban place.Great menu, delicious breakfast croissant with egg, spinach, tomato, cheese, and avocado. Beautifully decorated and presented with fresh strawberry slices and orange slices on a wonderfully clean plate.The coffee is great, too. I had a Latte and the coffee had some beautiful malty undertones...Nice outside seating with water views. Dog friendly.

Had the breakfast burrito. Eggs, spinach, avocado, and tomato on a spinach wrap. Generous portions and great service. Very friendly atmosphere. Great location. Wife had the falafel which was well enjoyed. All around a great stop.

Though the restaurant was still open at 4:30 the kitchen closes at 3:00 p.m. so unfortunately we couldnt order from the menu and had something from the deli portion of the restaurant. Staff was very nice and atmosphere was pleasant.

Day 1 of vacation:A quick stop into this enchanting restaurant for breakfast...cold brew iced coffee offered with coffee ice cubes! It never tasted watered down, exceptional!The Strawberry Sunshine smoothie was the perfect combination if banana, strawberry, orange juice and vanilla yogurt...incredibly fresh!Lastly, the chocolate croissant...do you know how to tell if you are eating puff pastry that has been made by hand? Every delicious, buttery layer separates with pockets of air, (or maybe its love) in between...this is how the chocolate croissant at Herban Market is made...simply the best chocolate croissant I have ever eaten!

Just tried it for lunch. Fantastic. Had the falafel salad, beet sandwich melt, and goat cheese cheesecake. Latte really good.

Enjoyed morning coffee with Momma. Great atmosphere. Great brewed coffee. I had the India medium roast and a wonderful blueberry doughnut.

We’ve been there twice now, and each time we’ve had excellent food and coffee. The dishes available included both standard fare and some very inventive recipes. I had a grilled avocado sandwich with kimchi, which might sound a little intimidating but was delicious. Altogether excellent. I would have given them five stars, but at least two of the staff in the open prep area in the dining room didn’t have masks, even though South Carolina currently has the highest Covid rate in the country.Ed: Ive reluctantly lowered my review to 3 stars after seeing that people had previously complained about the lack of masks among the staff. Theres really no excuse for this.

Guess we are used to weaker coffee at home. The three bean chili ok but no meat. Didn’t realize this was a vegan:) my bill said 16 oz meat soup??Next trip to Beaufort we will stop by again. Vegetarian, but you would not know it...so, Im good with that. Its a little lighter, fresher and more detailed...great! Food is always tasty and restaurant is clean and bright. Love the outdoor seating and view. Will go back soon!

Such a lovely experience! My husband and I visited Beaufort for a week and picked up food here almost everyday. It’s fresh, delicious, healthy and the staff are wonderful! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

My family and I loved this place! We got the reuben, quesadilla, and cobb salad togo today and they were all delicious. The beet reuben was my favorite of the three and their goat cheese cheesecake was wonderful. They do have outdoor seating, both covered and uncovered as well.

Food is healthy and delicious, very nice staff as well.

So much delicious hand made food!! I have been several times and everything I have had has been amazing -- falafel wrap, buffalo chickpea wrap, spanikopita, and of course the fresh juice 😍It is definitely expensive, but its a filling portion (with leftovers), and Im pretty sure the only place in town with real fresh-made croissants... even has GF and vegan baked goods!

Great lunch spot with outdoor seating and amazing view. Had delicious quiche and salad. Soup, pastries and smoothies were delicious. Lovely staff to compliment the lovely view.

I was so excited to find this restaurant in a town with few options for a vegan or vegetarian. The location was wonderful for parking or walking from the historic district. Atmosphere was lovely and dogs are welcome on the patio. I do wish they would take the next step and offer more vegan options. A fresh fruit cup would be welcome, couldn’t find one in Beaufort and this would be the perfect option at this restaurant.

3 of their staff members, assumably the ones cooking the food, are NOT wearing face masks. The food is fine but I will not eat at an establishment that seems to be so careless about something so important... especially for the people that are breathing on the food. When I asked the clerk why theyre not wearing masks I was told one of them has a medical condition. What about the other two? This is very disappointing.

Delicious! Vegan friendly and super tasty. I had the avocado-kimchi sandwich and funfetti cupcake. Both were amazing, I’d highly recommend. Can’t wait to eat here again!

Almost everything on their menu has gluten-free and vegan options! And they do seasonal dishes as well. I didn’t think I would find any baked goods here that would be gluten free AND vegan here in Beaufort! I’m allergic to gluten and cow’s milk. So happy to find this place. Nice atmosphere and very clean and nicely decorated.

Excellent little coffee shop that was just down the road from our Airbnb. The matcha latte was fantastic. Service was a tad slow but then again, they were pretty busy when I arrived. Was sad to see it was closed on Sunday but completely understood. Next time we are visiting, we will be making a stop here.

Love this place! They have so many delicious vegan options. My favorite by far was the walnut meat and cashew cheese quesadilla (served the last two Fridays). The coffee is really good, too!

Visiting from out of state, and my wife and I have got to say that this place is freaking amazing. Such a change from what we are used to. The Falafel wrap is to die for a my wife feels that the veggie wrap is even better but I cannot steer away from the Falafel wrap. We both had cookies on our first visit and the peanut butter whoopie pie cookie is mind-boggling good! Will be back numerous times on our stay!

Cute place, nice outdoor seating, easy parking but I refuse to pay $13 for a slice of quiche from a coldcase. My kid said his donut was good though
